Hello everyone! I know I've been really slow all summer about updating, but busy busy life for me right now. One of my guilty shipping pleasures has always been Bixanna, for no really good reason other then I think they would be very adorable together. So here is a little bit of Bixanna for you, because I love them to death. Also, in this story Lisanna is a younger than the others, she is only 22.

As always, I do not own Fairy Tail, it belongs to Hiro Mashima and I thank him for it's use in my own creative expressions *bows*

Lisanna managed to sneak out of the house early when the kids left for a pool party so the girls decided to order in and hang out before going to the club. They scarfed down on a half vegetarian and half pepperoni pizza while they caught up with each other.

"I'm glad that summer is finally here," Lisanna told Wendy with her mouth full of pepperoni and cheese. "It's a break from school, even if I am just watching the kids."

"But I thought you liked school?" Wendy asked.

"I do, but it's nice to have a break." Lisanna did like taking part-time classes at the University; she was hoping someday to be a nurse. "It wouldn't be as bad if I ever had even just a little bit of time to myself." Between her older sister and her older brother someone was always watching out for her, Lisanna loved her siblings but sometimes she felt the need to just get away.

"Well, here is to a night where we will hopefully not have any unexpected tails or visitors." Wendy raised her slice and they toasted with pizza.

Once they were finished it was time to get dressed to go out. Lisanna had brought over some borrowed clothes from Mira's old modeling days so that they could hopefully impress the doorman enough to cut the line in the club.

"I don't know if any of this is going to fit me…" Wendy held up a barely there sequined top that was made for someone with a much larger bust. Wendy's smaller chest was quite a sore spot for her, she had thought that by this time she would be caught up with most of her friends but they didn't seem to want to grow anymore.

"Hmm," Lisanna dug though the bag. "I'm sure we can find you something…" She wasn't worried since her and Mira had always been practically the same size, especially before she had her kids.

"I can't believe she used to wear these things," Wendy remarked as she held up another skimpy top with matching hot pants bottoms. "It would be so embarrassing."

"I don't think it ever bothered her actually," Lisanna replied while looking through the pile. "Or Laxus either, which is weird because he is usually very sensitive about what kind of stuff." Her sister and her husband had been together a long time and if her former profession had ever bothered him he never let it show.

Wendy decided in the end to wear one of her own sundresses, a blue strapless one that came up to just above her knee. Lisanna found a pair of cut-off shorts that were halfway decent and a bright printed silk top; hair, make-up and some strappy sandals and they were ready to go at a little past nine. They walked the long distance to the night club and when they arrived there was already a line twenty rows deep.

"Darn it," Lisanna muttered as they went to the back. "I really thought that we would be early enough."

"I don't think it matters when we get here, it's more about luck," Wendy eyed the people in front of them and wondered what their chances were. It was ten o'clock when the doorman started letting people off the line in instead of just the VIP's and by ten-thirty they were still standing there.

"I think this is a bust," Wendy whispered to Lisanna. "And that guy over there keeps giving me funny looks."

"Don't worry, Laxus taught me some moves," Lisanna reassured the younger girl. "Let's wait just a little while longer."

Just then a limo pulled up to the curve and everyone else in line strained against the ropes to see who it was. Lisanna groaned because it meant that their chances of getting in had just lessened by a whole car load.

"Wendy!" They heard someone cry. "Is that you?!"

Wendy looked up see the speaker was another young girl around her age with bright pink hair and big blue eyes. She had on a short miniskirt and a bright pink sleeveless shirt and tall shoes, so tall that when she tried to rush over to them in line she nearly tripped on one heel and almost ended up with a face full of concrete sidewalk.

One of the two men walking with her in black suits grabbed her arm in the nick of time before she fell. "Hey! Watch where you are going clumsy!" He exclaimed.

"I'm sorry…" the girl replied as she stood back up.

"Chelia!" Wendy exclaimed in surprise at seeing the other girl. "What are you doing here?" Wendy knew that her friend was shy and didn't really like loud places like this.

"I decided to go out, you know, for the long weekend," the girl responded with a blush. "But Sherry made me take these two along with me and they scared off all my friends."

"Hey! We are standing right here!"

Chelia ignored them and continued. "Come with me to the front, I can get into all of these places." She grabbed Wendy's hand and pulled her out of line to the protest of the others around them, Lisanna followed quickly so she wouldn't get left behind.

"Miss Chelia Blendy and guests." The shorter bodyguard told the doorman when they reached the front. He checked his clipboard and to Lisanna's surprise waved them all through with no other questions. The music in the club was almost deafening, she could feel the bass against her chest like a second heartbeat. One of the hostesses led them to a VIP table near the back and Lisanna stared wide-eyed at everything around her, especially the packed dance floor.

"Here you are Miss Blendy, your server should be with you in a minute."

"Thanks!" Chelia replied flopping down onto one of the overstuffed couches. Wendy took the seat beside her and Lisanna snagged an arm chair. A waitress came and brought them a round of drinks on the house and Lisanna wondered who this girl was that she could get this kind of treatment at such an exclusive nightclub.

"Oh," Chelia looked at Lisanna with a smile. "I'm Chelia Blendy." She stuck out her hand and Lisanna took it.

"Lisanna Strauss."

"Oh, you're related to Laxus?"

"Yeah, he's my brother-in-law…" Lisanna wondered how she would know Laxus.

"Chelia goes to school too," Wendy piped up. "In the College of Natural Science."

"It's nothing," Chelia answered quickly. "Really boring actually."

"What do you study?" Lisanna asked curiously.

"Oh, I specialize in Meteorology, you know, the weather. Like I said, pretty boring…"

"Chelia is a genius, she is working on her doctorate right now," Wendy added.

"Really?" Lisanna was impressed; she didn't look anything like what she thought a genius would look like, she was more like a goofy kid sister.

"Yeah, it's no big deal…" Chelia was blushing now. "Everyone in my family is really smart."

"Hey! What are you doing?!" One of Chelia's bodyguards was yelling at another man who was trying to get into their area.

"Wait! I just want to greet Miss Blendy and welcome her to Club Cosmos, I'm the manager here."

"Ahh, I'll be right back." Chelia got up and scurried over before they made an even bigger scene.

"What is that all about?" Lisanna asked Wendy once she was out of earshot.

"Chelia's cousin works for a big environmental research group, Lamia Scale."

"That is the same company that Gray's brother Lyon works for isn't it?" Gray and Lyon were technically foster brothers and not blood related at all, but their relationship and rivalry was definitely sibling like.

"Yep, I met some of them when I had to leave Caitshelter. Roubal used to work with them before he founded the farm, like how he used to know Makarov."

Lisanna looked away; she knew that Wendy found it hard sometimes to talk about the place she grew up and having to leave there. "But isn't it a non-profit group? How would they be able to pull strings to get into an exclusive nightclub?"

"Oh, well, her cousin is also married to Ren Akatsuki, you know the guy from the news? I think he does the sports report." Lisanna recognized the name and it made more sense.

Chelia came back to the table and sat down again. "Sorry about that, she told them with a blush. "Sherry makes me take them when I got to places like this but they usually create trouble instead of preventing it."

Lisanna peered at the two men again; they didn't look like they would be much help in a real fight.

"That's ok, so how have things been going?" Wendy asked. They started chatting about different things, school and work. Lisanna mostly listened and learned that Chelia was doing a summer internship with her cousin's company and would most likely be taking a job with them after she graduated next year. "

Lamia Scale is a really good company to work for, one of the best in the city."

"Chelia!" They all turned when one of her bodyguards called out her name. He held up a cellphone so they could see it.

"Excuse me again," she mumbled, embarrassed and went back over to them. After a short conversation she handed it back to the short man, she scampered back to them with a disappointed look on her face.

"I'm sorry but I have to go." She sounded not happy about it at all. "I will email you Wendy and we can meet up for lunch, nice to meet you Lisanna!" She waved to them and then left with her two shadows following close behind.

"Now what do we do?" Wendy asked.

Lisanna looked around and noticed that one of the hostesses was looking over at them. "We should probably get out of this area before they figure out that Chelia left. Something tells me they wouldn't hesitate to kick us out of here if she's gone." Lisanna took Wendy's hand and they swiftly jumped off the VIP platform.

The music was louder on the main level and it was way more crowded, Lisanna found an empty spot in the corner where they could stand and figure out what to do next. Their options were pretty limited, all of the small round tables were full and the standing room was nearly packed. The lower level dance floor was a pulsating mass of bodies, with the darkened area was only lit by a few strobe lights that flashed along to the music it was hard to tell where one person ended and another began. Lisanna thought it looked like a lot of fun but she knew that Wendy was not a fan of tight enclosed spaces or groups. Their last option was one of the bars, which were busy but not overly packed.

"Let's go over there," she yelled at Wendy over the loud music, pointing to the farthest and emptiest bar. Wendy nodded and they made their way hand and hand, dodging people as they went. The next problem was getting the bartender's attention, neither Lisanna nor Wendy were assertive enough to call him over.

"Excuse me." A good looking man tapped Lisanna on the shoulder. "Are you having problems?"

Lisanna smiled at him shyly. "Sorry, it's so busy in here and I can't get his attention, I didn't mean to hold up the line."

"That's ok; I could give you a hand." The man caught the bartender's eye and almost telepathically he drifted over to them. Lisanna ordered another cosmopolitan, the house drink and Wendy an ice water with lemon.

"Here, let me get that." Before Lisanna could take out her money the guy handed the bartender a twenty dollar bill and told him to keep the change, a pretty outrageous tip for one drink.

"Oh, thanks," Lisanna replied.

"My name is Sam," the man held out his hand to her. "What is yours?"

"Lisanna." She took his hand lightly and shook it once before releasing it.

"That's a pretty name," he replied. "I've never seen you in here before."

Lisanna knew it had to be some kind of line, she didn't believe that he would know everyone in the bar but she also didn't want to be rude. "No, it's my first time here."

"Really? Me and the boys are in here all the time." He motioned to two guys who were standing on his left side; they all looked similar, like they could be related in some way.

"Oh, um, I'm here with my friend. This is Wendy." The smaller girl beside her waved awkwardly and Lisanna knew she was uncomfortable with all the strangers.

"We're sitting over there." He motioned over to a random corner. "If you want to join us?"

"Umm…" Lisanna was starting to get a bad feeling about the situation and didn't want to give him the wrong idea. "No thank you, we actually need to go meet a friend over in the VIP section," she lied, hoping they would buy it but no such luck.

"VIP? I don't think you know anyone there." His handsome face had pulled back into an ugly looking smirk. "You should come with us." He reached out and took a hold of Lisanna's elbow and tried to pull her towards him.

"No! Let go." She tried to shake him off but his grip was too tight. "Let go," she repeated a little louder.

"Stop fighting; it would be so much easier if you just came." His two friends moved like they were about to step in so Lisanna opened her mouth to start yelling for help when suddenly the man was sputtering, water dripping off his face and hair. Lisanna looked down at Wendy, who was still holding the empty water glass like she couldn't believe herself what she just did.

The man recovered first and let go of Lisanna's arm and wiped the hand across his face to get the wet hair out of his eyes. "That was stupid," his voice was low and snarling. "You just made a big mistake."

Wendy squeaked and dropped the glass, retreating behind Lisanna's right shoulder. "Leave us alone," Lisanna growled back.

"How are you going to make me?" He asked with contempt.

Lisanna felt a large hand on her left shoulder and the bottom of her stomach dropped in panic, what if there was another one behind her?

"I think the lady told you to scram." The dread turned to relief when she instantly recognized the deep voice. Instead of backing off the stranger just sneered. "Who are you? Her boyfriend?" This drew snickers from his two friends until she felt the man behind her move like he was taking something out of his pocket and their faces went from smug to fear.

"Nope, I'm not, but you all better disappear before this gets ugly." The three of them wasted no time melting into the crowd, when they were gone Lisanna turned to her rescuer.

"What did you show them?" She asked.

Bixlow Knight returned his police badge to the front pocket of the open casual suit he was wearing. The light blue dress shirt was open at the collar with no tie and despite the club's darkness he was wearing his sunglasses. "Relax, it was just my badge. We're trying to keep a low profile in here but I think I just blew our cover."

At the mention of we Lisanna looked around for the only person he could be referring to. Freed Justine was standing beside Bixlow and behind Wendy with his arms crossed and he was dressed much the same except he had all his buttons done up properly; he was also giving them the eye.

"That was not a smart move," he scolded Bixlow, who grinned sheepishly and ran a hand through his mixed black and blue hair. "Does Laxus know you are here?" He asked Lisanna crossly.

"Hey, I am an adult now you know," she answered back hotly. "I can make my own decisions."

"It's not safe for you on your own, especially not here and not right now." Freed reached into his jacket and pulled out a cell phone.

"Romeo," he murmured into it quiet enough to discourage eavesdroppers. "We've been made. No, there isn't any sign of Leo here tonight so it's a bust anyway but I have another job for you. Sending them out now, pull up to the back exit and be discreet." He hung up the phone and glanced over at Bixlow and the girls. "Take them out the back way, he should be waiting. Make sure he takes them straight home; I'll meet you at the rendezvous point."

Bixlow nodded and pushed Wendy and Lisanna in front of him, guiding them to the back emergency exit sign. Lisanna fought the urge to dig in her heels and refuse to leave but she knew she was swinging out of her weight class here. He pushed the exit an open and an alarm started to go off but it was muted over the sound of the music, Bixlow didn't look concerned about drawing attention to themselves anymore. T

hey walked out into the alley where an idling black car was waiting for them, Romeo Conbolt waved at them from the driver's seat and Lisanna could just make out his bright smile in the alley's dark gloom. Bixlow opened the back passenger's seat door gallantly and motioned for them to get in. Wendy gracefully slid in first; still taking everything in guilty silence, Lisanna looked up at Bixlow in annoyance before following her friend. "Thanks," she muttered with just a little bit of snark.

"You bet," Bixlow answered like he hadn't noticed. He slammed the door shut and to Lisanna's further displeasure he climbed in the passenger's seat.

"What's up?" Romeo asked him.

"Magnolia," Bixlow replied solemnly. "We have to take the ladies home."

"I'm staying the night at Wendy's," Lisanna informed them quickly, the last thing she needed was to be brought home in a ghost car under escort.

Bixlow turned in his seat to meet her gaze. "Freed said to take you home…" he began but Lisanna cut him off.

"Please Bixlow? It's true, even ask Wendy."

He looked skeptical but Wendy joined in. "Please?" She asked him in her sweetest and most innocent voice.

"Alright," Bixlow sighed. "But once you get there you stay there, no more sneaking out, at least not tonight."

"We didn't sneak out," Lisanna insisted, slightly bitter at the accusation. She had been feeling a little guilty about giving him the cold shoulder but that was slowly disappearing. "We decided to go dancing on a Saturday night, what is so wrong with that?" She leaned back in her seat sulking. "And we didn't even get to dance," she mumbled.

"You should stay away from that place." Bixlow repeated what Freed had said earlier. "There are lots of places you could go dancing closer to home. How did you get into Cosmos anyway? You two aren't the type they let into that place."

Lisanna didn't know if she should be flattered or insulted, but he made it sound like a good thing. "Wendy's friend got us in."

Bixlow just nodded and Lisanna looked out the window and noticed that they were already in Wendy's neighbourhood and about to turn down her street. Romeo pulled up to the building and stopped right in front of the walk way.

"Thank-you for the ride," Lisanna quickly opened the door and hustled out, pulling Wendy with her. "See you later Romeo." He waved in acknowledgement but before the girls could scurry away into the house Bixlow opened his door and also got out.

"Come on," Lisanna couldn't help her full blown whine. "You don't have to walk us to the door."

"Sorry Babe, m'fraid I have to. Otherwise Freed will have my ass and he is already mad at me." The big man stood there and waited for them to move.

"Ugh." Lisanna groaned in frustration, she was so tired of being treated like a little kid and it was starting to get maddening. She stalked to Wendy's building but had to wait for the blue haired girl to catch up so she could open the door.

Wendy and Lisanna went up the stairs first and Bixlow followed them silently, they got to Wendy's door and she opened it and then darted inside. "Goodnight Bixlow, thank you for taking us home," she called.

Lisanna stood her ground to give him one last glare before following her. "You aren't going to tell Laxus about tonight are you?" She asked.

Bixlow gave her a peculiar look like he was trying to make up his mind about something. "Naw," he replied finally. "And I'll talk to Freed about it but you know how he gets around Laxus so no promises."

Lisanna couldn't help but smile at him. "Thanks!" She had another question that was nibbling the back of her mind. "Why do you wear your sunglasses in the dark?" She asked curiously.

The question seemed to surprise him because he notched is head to one side. "My eyes, they freak people out if you aren't used to them." He pushed his glasses up so that they were now resting on top of his head; his eyes were a dark but bright shade of red that seemed to glow even in the bright light. L

isanna could see how they might scare people a little if they weren't used to them, she had known Bixlow for most of her life so his rare and odd eye color didn't bother her. "Oh."

"Yeah." He made no move to put his glasses back on now that they were off. "Easier to blend in when everyone isn't trying to stare at you or ask if they are real and sunglasses at night aren't that weird compared to some of the other things I've seen. Now you stay here." He turned to leave but then stopped and threw a teasing look over his shoulder. "And no more conversations with strange guys in bars, ok?"

Lisanna grunted. "Yeah, yeah. Good-bye." Lisanna went into the apartment and shut the door firmly. Listening quietly she could swear she heard whistling coming from the hallway and then disappearing slowly as he would have walked back down the stairs.

"You should have been a little nicer to him; he did save us from those horrible guys." Lisanna turned to watch as Wendy came back into the room carrying a bunch of blankets and pillows to make up the couch for her to sleep on.

"I know," Lisanna sighed. "I just didn't expect to run into anyone at that club. Thanks for what you did with the water; at least it distracted him enough to let my arm go." She involuntary rubbed the spot on her elbow were he had been holding her; it felt like there was going to be a bruise there in the morning.

"He was really mad." The tips of Wendy's ears and her cheeks went pink thinking about it, she shook out a blanket to distract herself. "I thought we were in big trouble. I'm sorry we didn't get to do any dancing, I know you were looking forward to it."

"It's ok; it still turned out to be an interesting night."

"I've got ice cream," Wendy offered. "We could watch a movie and eat it."

"Deal!" The two girls looked at each other and started to giggle, ice cream always made everything better.

Another chapter coming up later today, so stay tuned!
