I felt like it had been day's sense this started but it had only been a few hours. Night had fallen and the spot lights had just come on.
"Sheriff." Someone called out.
I turned around to see Scott's friend I think her name was Lydia trying to get threw but the CDC kept her back.
"Move. I know this girl." He told them as he went over to get her.
I could not understand why he was letting her pass the police line. She might be there friend but she was a civilian.
"What's happening?" She asked.
"Were working on it." He told her.
"She can't be here." I told them.
"It's okay. She's um." He said not knowing how to continue his sentence.
"I have helped before." She said.
"Helped. You let teen agers help on your cases?" I asked him not believing what the hell I was hearing.
"A lot of the crimes in this city involve the teens. A teen incite can be helpful." I told him.
"Keep the kids out of police business." I told him before walking away.
