A/N: This is co-written with escape-reader.13. This has been sitting with the co-author computer for awhile and just now finished even though I wrote it last year it kind of reflects the finale and can be considered a fix for it. It's based off the song "Here" by Rascal Flatts I thought the lyrics were perfect vows for them and basically summarized their relationship so I don't expect them to say stuff like this on the show but that's why it's fiction. Also most of the song one shots have been angsty and it needs some fluff and casket goodness so this is to make for some of the other ones. Sorry this is so long, I'll stop rambling now.

He couldn't believe the day was finally here, any minute now the music would start playing, the music he's heard twice before. This time is different, this time he's not doing it out of commitment or because he felt like he should; this time he wanted to, this time was because of love. He looked down the aisle, the makeshift aisle up the beach that leads to his house. He can see the pool out of the corner of his eye. He thinks back to their first weekend in the Hamptons. He remembers the way her robe fell and the moment he realized she "forgot" her swimsuit. Unfortunately things hadn't gone the way he wanted to, of course a dead guy had to land in his pool and like always they got caught up in solving the case. He was surprised a murder hadn't interrupted their wedding. Kate had taken the time off so she wasn't on call but still murder had a way of finding them wherever they went. Now was not the time to think of these things, he needed to focus on what was about to happen.

On the other side of the door stood Kate. She couldn't believe that today was happening, especially with Richard Castle, she was about to marry Richard-freaking-Castle. She remember the first day they met, it's not the day he remembers. It was years earlier shortly after her mother's death. She had acted out trying to deal with her death, partying and not always making the best choices but his books saved her. They gave her hope that one day she would be able to close the case and bring closure to herself. She read his first book when she found it in her mother's vast collection, she went to the store and picked up everything of his she could find, each book gave her strength and more hope with each page. She had stood in line for hours on end just to get his signature, Will was beyond annoyed because she missed their lunch date for it. She finally got to the front, he looked up gave his charming Richard-Castlesque smile that she saw on every book jacket. He asked whom to make it out to, flirted a bit but she wasn't buying the flirtatiousness of his. She met him at every quip, creating this light banter between them. That was the first time she had truly smiled in a while. He saved her back then, and has been saving her ever since.

The music started and everyone stood up and turned towards the aisle. They decided on a small wedding, just their friends and families. The ones that truly knew them and what they went through to get to this point, the ones who saw them from the beginning; the ones who knew what they truly meant to each other. She wasn't used to this attention, she was used to Castle staring at her but that was creepy in a loving way. This was all eyes on her, luckily she knew how to walk in heels so tripping wasn't a problem. She hooked arms with her dad and began her trip down the aisle. She reached Rick in no time, Jim handed her over, kissed her on her cheek and took his seat next to the empty one; the one reserved her mother who she knows is watching right now.

Handing her bouquet to Lanie, she ran her hands down her skirt and wondered she wondered if her mother would be smiling or crying, especially since she was wearing her dress. Her mother's wedding dress was timeless, and perfect for this intimate, simple wedding. An open-back, strapless white dress with a sleeveless chiffon overlay that had a round neckline, adorned with intricate lace embroidery that outline the neck and sleeves and filled the back of the dress, spilling down the skirt and almost blending in. Not wanting to hide anything about the dress, she left her hair up, collected at the nape of her neck, while her bangs framed her face, showing the earrings Martha gave her.

Taking a deep breath, she looked up and her breath caught when she met Castle's eyes. It wasn't because of how he looked, even though that would make many loose their breath, but it was the look he was giving her. A look full of adoration and love, one she knew she had in her eyes as she kept her eyes trained on him.

The Officiate began his opening remarks, "Dearly beloved we are gathered here today…"

They weren't really listening to the opening remarks, both were caught in the moment. They were here. Finally. Standing in front of everyone, holding hands staring into each others eyes saying everything they wanted but couldn't. He rubbed his thumb along the back of her hand, telling her he was softly touching her face, pulling her in for a long, slow kiss. Her hand responded saying to him she was kissing him back, running her hands through his hair. They're eyes told them they remembered when they first did this in the precinct, when they were keeping their relationship a secret from Gates.

They were so distracted they didn't realize everyone was waiting for them to start their vows. They had decided to write their own, Kate was nervous. With Castle being a writer, his were bound to be perfect since he always knew what to say.

Castle went first, "Beckett," he noticed her amusement and everyone chuckled, "What? It's the last time I'm going to be able to call her that." He took a breath. Man he was never this nervous at his other ones. He began again, "Kate I've spent my whole life searching for something, and there were a couple times I thought I found it, I've settled down a couple times but I always found my way back I know what I was looking for was this, right here. With you in front me, in a love I never thought I'd get to give. That's what I promise you, to love you through better and worse although with everything that's happened I don't know if we can go through worse but I know if we do it will be okay because we have each other."

Damn, she knew his would be good, she should've gone first, "Thinking back on us, it's amazing what I let my heart go through to get me where it got me, in this moment here with you. But I wouldn't change a thing, I'd walk right back through the rain and straight to your door step again." They both smiled at the memory of her knocking on his door-soaking wet. "I'd go back to every broken heart, on the day it was breaking, I'd relive all the years and be thankful for the tears that led to you and got me here, right here. I promise not run away, to stay and fight through the hard times because face it, it's us, there are always going to be hard times. Rick what I'm trying to say is you're everything I could ask for; I want you, just you. I love you."

She tried to lean in for a kiss but the officiant stopped them. "Not yet, two more things then you can get to that part." Everyone chuckled.

"Do you Richard Castle take thee Katherine Beckett to be your wife?"

"Always," he responded as he slid the ring onto her finger.

"Do you Katherine Beckett take thee Richard Castle to be your husband?"

"Always," Kate responded as she slid his ring onto his finger.

"I know pronounce you husband and wife. Now you may kiss the bride."

They pulled each other in for the kiss, her hands caressing his face. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in closer. It started slow and passionate but then deepened turning into a fiery but tender kiss. Finally they broke apart; everyone else was cheering and whistling. She thought she heard Esposito yell get a room, she resisted the urge to give him the look, she would let it slide today.

They walked back down the aisle Kate saw a few tears in her dad's eyes. She knew he was happy for her, but also wished her mom was there. Castle noticed Martha smiling also with a few tears, but he knew they were happy tears.

They walked through through the make shift aisle of friends and family holding hands and smiles on their faces while everyone cheered. Quickly took cover in the white car that was waiting for them from the rain of rice.

They walked through through the make shift aisle of friends and family, holding hands and smiles on their faces while everyone cheered. Quick to take cover from the rain of rice, they climbed into the white car that was waiting for them. As the car drove away, Castle turned and caressed Kate's face, loving how she leaned into his touch as he leaned into her.

"I love you, Mr. Castle," she whispered before she closed the distance. They broke apart when air became necessary and rested their foreheads against each other.

"And I love you, Mrs. Castle."
