Chapter 9
Meeting Nami and Buggy the Clown
I woke up with a yelp as I felt that my head was slammed into hard wood. I winced and grabbed my throbbing head with my eyes shut; it feels like one of Ace's punches. I heard Luffy voice shout."Ah! Zoro, Mace! Help me!"
I opened my eyes and jumped up to see…Luffy being carried by a big bird in its beak. I sweat dropped; I swear I can't even sleep anymore. Zoro screamed at him. "You idiot!"
He grabbed oars that were under the seating boards and tossed me one. He said. "Row at the same time as me."
So we did and I had to match up to his speed, but I did. I swear if I see that bird I'll kill it. We were going and then suddenly I heard shouts. I growled. "I think we have people in the water and they are trying to get on."
Zoro called out to the three people in the ocean. "We can't stop, you have to jump in!"
They did and I laughed as they almost didn't make it. The three of them were across from us and they suddenly said. "Stop! We are pirates from Buggy and we are stealing this boat from you!"
I snorted as me and Zoro both stopped rowing to stare at them. They were weird looking for one. They looked like they belonged in the circus. Zoro looked at them darkly and my eyes gleamed as I smirked. Then we attacked them; I knew Zoro could have handled it easily, it was like fighting children, but they annoyed me once I realized they made us lose Luffy and now I didn't know where he is.
If he falls into the ocean I can't help him. They were trembling and Zoro made the three of them row. Zoro asked. "What are you doing out here?"
One of them said. "This girl tricked us right before this storm!"
Another one trailed off on what he was going to say. "Yeah and when I see her..."
The last one mumbled. "She was pretty too."
I grimaced at the last part and thought that she knew alot about weather stuff. Zoro said. "That's good, if she can predict the weather like that."
I asked. "Who's Buggy, a spider and roach or something?"
Zoro gave a snort and one of the pirates said shocked. "You don't know Buggy the Clown, the Pirate?"
I shook my head. "Nope."
Zoro then screamed at them to keep rowing. They did and we ended up at an island. I jumped off the boat and Zoro followed me. The three weaklings followed me and I grabbed my Log Book. I need to find a bag at this island so I don't lose it. We wondered around and I sighed, wondering where Luffy was and if he was here. There was a loud explosion and I said. "I have a reason to think that was because of Luffy."
Zoro seemed to agree with me. I said. "Show us where Buggy is."
They nodded quickly and we followed them toward this ship that was on top of a bar. I smirked. "Great location he has here."
Zoro snorted. The three weaklings ran off quickly and Zoro said. "Well, let's go."
I nodded and jumped up on the roof and then Zoro joined me and I heard a commotion, I said. "I'll go find Luffy, you'll deal with that?"
He nodded and put a hand on the hilt of the white sword and I did the same with mine. We jumped on the boat quietly and saw a couple of pirates about to ambush some girl with orange hair and showy clothes or showy to me.
I scanned the boat and saw Luffy. Zoro went to help the girl once he saw me going toward Luffy and I crouched down so I was in front of him and could look him in the eye. "Hey Luffy."
He grinned and was about to shout something, but I shushed him and asked. "How did this even happen?"
He grinned wider and said. "Well, that orange haired girl is our Navigator though she did tie me up and get me stuck with Buggy."
I narrowed my eyes, oh really?! I frowned; I won't do anything yet to her. Luffy must have a reason for wanting her on the Crew. I heard a loud voice say. "Roronoa Zoro?! Fight me as it will put a feather in my hat."
I looked back to see the girl backed off and Zoro had his swords drawn and Zoro said. "Then I'm going to pluck out all your feathers!"
I snorted, good one. I braced one hand against the bars and took the lock in my hand. I then pulled back, but it did not break. I growled under my breath and kept on yanking. I heard Luffy whining about bouncing the cage, but I ignored him. It was true; the cage would leave the ground. I heard a slashing noise and knew Zoro must have gone after Buggy. At least the idiot was done with, but I was surprised to hear laughing from his crew.
Why the hell would they be laughing? I could sense Luffy, Zoro and that orange haired girl thinking the same as me. I looked around with a frown and saw a hand floating with a knife. Without thinking about how strange a floating had was, my eyes widened as I saw who it was going for. "Zoro! Watch out!"
Zoro turned and Buggy missed hitting the middle of his stomach (which he was aiming for), but got more to the side of him on his right. I cursed with a glare, what a coward. Hitting from behind like that. Buggy laughed. "That's the power of the Bara-Bara Fruit! I can split in pieces and can't be cut!"
I scowled, we'll see about that. I heard Luffy mutter. "That's freaky and weird."
I scoffed at him and said. "You should talk."
He made a face at me and I grinned. Luffy then shouted at Buggy. "Stabbing in the back is cowardly, Big-nose!"
Maybe I forgot to say but Buggy is a clown with long blue hair and a bright red clown nose. Well, his crew flipped out as Buggy's face went red. I moved to Luffy's right so he could look at the clown. He yelled. "How dare you call me that?!"
He made his hand detach from his body (still nasty) and tried to strike him with the knife in his hand, but Luffy bit it. I raised an eyebrow. He somehow broke it with his teeth, sometimes I don't even try to figure out how Luffy does things. Luffy then looked at me and Zoro, telling us. "Run."
I blinked as his eyes darted at the large cannon across from us and I smirked in understanding. I ran off toward him and looked at Zoro and he smirked in understanding too and the orange haired girl screamed at us.
Zoro ducked under the cannon and tried to flip it over. I knelt next to him and we flipped it over. I could tell that he had a hard problem because of the wound in his side. He glared at me, not seeing the logic in what I did, but I ignored him. I shouted at the orange haired girl. "Hey, give us some matches!"
Her eyes widened and she tossed them to me. I lit one and hit the fuse. I backed off toward Luffy, Zoro went to pick up the cage and I grabbed it before he could. He glared. "I can do it!"
I snapped back. "I know you could, but it's my brother and you'll lose enough blood that you be emptied of blood!"
The orange haired girl seemed to agree. "Yeah, if you keep on going on, you guts will fall out!"
He growled. "Then let them fall out!"
I hunched the cage on my shoulder with a little strain and snapped. "Let's go"!
Zoro said. "Give me the damn cage!"
The orange haired girl yelled. "Hurry! The cannon!"
I jumped off the boat and Zoro followed me. We ended up on an open street and Zoro fell on the ground next to me. I dropped the cage and sat next to Luffy, breathing heavy. I looked around, we were near a store and it was empty. I looked at Zoro bleeding out and I frowned, I'm reckless a lot more these days, but that's just stupid. Before I could say anything, Luffy did. "Ah, look a dog!"
I looked to what he said and saw Luffy pointing at a white dog that seemed to be frozen. I looked at the cage and tried to figure out a way to get him out since I can't cut through iron. As I did this, Luffy decided to start poking it and Zoro just laid there losing blood.
Suddenly I heard Luffy yell and I laughed loudly when I saw the dog biting his face. It's not like that really hurts Luffy, so I'll laugh and I'm not going to beat up a dog.
I then thought that this was wasting time and picked up a rock from the ground and chucked it at the dog. It gave a growl and went back to being still. I said before Luffy could thank me. "Don't bother it again."
I closed my eyes and then felt a shadow. I looked to see the orange haired girl standing there and dropped something on the ground. I blinked and saw it was a key. I grinned once I realized what the key was for. Luffy said. "Hey, our Navigator!"
I chuckled when she got pissed off. She said. "My name is Nami, not navigator."
At least, I have a name now. She is the person that almost got my brother in trouble, I'm still a bit wary. Though Luffy is a good judge of character, look what happened with the beginning with Ace, how mean he was to us at first and now he is our brother. So for now I will believe in his judgment. Before anyone could grab the keys, the dog ate it. My eyes bulged in shock.
Luffy reacted by grabbing the dog by the throat and shaking it back and forth. Before I could snap out of it a voice yelled. "Hey! Stop picking on Chou-Chou!"
I tensed with my hand on the hilt of my sword, but it was only some old guy with bronze armor on and big puffy white hair that reminded me of a poodle. I was still a little wary, but I let up. I knew how strong old men could be. Zoro asked. "Who are you, Old Man?"
The old guy looked offended and said. "The Mayor of this town, Boodle."
I really did snicker under my breath. Boodle gave me a confused look and I met eyes with Luffy. He had let go of the dog and grinned when he saw my expression. He must know what I laughed about. Zoro elbowed me, also knowing and Nami gave me a glare which I ignored. He looked at Zoro shocked and said. "Young man, you're injured."
My eyes widened as I forgot the main problem. Zoro shrugged. "It's okay; I just need to sleep it off."
Well on some injuries that's possible, I done it a lot at home. Maybe it is a swordsman thing. Boodle said. "You can rest in my house."
Zoro nodded and I got up to make sure he got there. Getting stabbed in the gut is nothing to laugh at, even if I moved him away from the knife a little. I walked with him to Boodle's house and he lay in the bed and said. "Stop underestimating me, I can get here by myself."
I nodded. "I know you could, I was just making sure."
He glared harder and I frowned. "I just care about the crew, alright?"
He seemed to think about it and closed his eyes. I figured he wanted to sleep and I turned around and started walking out. He stopped me by asking. "What do you think about that Nami girl?"
I said. "Luffy seems to trust her, so I guess I'll go with it, though I don't like that she is the reason he was stuck in that cage."
He asked shocked. "It's her fault?!"
I said. "Yeah, I'm going to let you get some sleep."
I walked out and the Mayor and Nami were nowhere to be seen. Luffy was facing againist 2 beings and I noticed that the store was burnt down and for some reason that seemed to piss Luffy off. I could not see Chou-Chou anywhere at the moment and I saw a beat up lion a little smaller than the one on Mt. Corvo. Luffy then punched some guy and my eye twitched. This guy had fur on his chest and fur ears on his head, but he had two human ears already.
I scratched my head in confusion. I decided to forget it and Luffy came over to me. I asked. "Why are you so pissed?"
He explained what the store was and how it was important to the dog and they just burned it down without a care. I growled under my breath and wished he was still awake so I could hurt him more than Luffy did. I fingered the pocket watch in my pocket with a dark expression. We both know that you do not mess with someone's treasure.
I smiled lightly when I felt Shanks's Flag engraved on one side and then Nami and Boodle came out shocked. Nami asked. "You're alive?! How did you come from smashing into a house and living!?"
He shrugged and I looked back to see a smashed up house. She finally snapped and said. "I should kill you, Hell I should kill you both and have two less pirates in the world!"
I smirked, amused as Luffy walked off and said. "You can't kill me."
He went to pick up a box of pet food and Nami shouted. "You don't know, maybe I could!"
I laughed in amusement as Boodle held her back and she turned to me. "What's so funny!?"
I smirked lightly and looked down so my eyes were hidden from view. "He's right, but I'm not talking just physically, more mentally, you won't do it."
She was shocked for a second and was about to go yelling at me again, but she got distracted by what Luffy was doing. He gave Chou-Chou a box of food and I noticed it was from near the door and grinned fondly. He is giving the dog something to remember it by. Nami was shocked he was so nice. Luffy said. "Sorry, I can't give you more, but this is all that's left. I didn't see you fight, but know you fought well."
Chou-Chou barked us a farewell, taking the box with him. Nami face changed as Boodle let go of her. "Sorry for saying that."
Luffy and I smiled at the same time, we said. "It's okay. I can tell pirates hurt you."
I blinked and looked at Luffy with a surprised look with a grin and he mirrored my actions. Are we really that much alike? Suddenly, a boom sound happened and something slammed into a house behind us, making the ground shake a little. I spun around and my eyes widened and I and Luffy yelled. "Zoro is in there!"
We both raced over and some rubble fell off Zoro and he grumbled while rubbing his head. "That's one Hell of a way to wake up."
I snorted and laughed at his response and Luffy was relieved. Suddenly the old man snapped and started yelling. "THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON WAY TOO LONG, I CAN'T TAKE IT!"
Zoro looked at him boredly and I decided to ask the million dollar question. "What are you talking about?"
He was a little lower in his voice, but still talking loudly. "This place has been around for 40 years and these pirates came in and I did nothing! You youngsters and even little Chou-Chou tried to defend it and I didn't do a thing! I'm going after Buggy the Pirate!"
Nami held him back as he tried to run forward and said. "Stop it!"
I looked at him quietly with my hands stuffed in my pockets. Boodle asked. "I care about this place. Shouldn't I protect it?"
Luffy agreed and I said. "If you determined you're never too old."
Nami said. "Don't encourage him, it's reckless!"
He started crying as he yelled. "I know it's reckless!"
Nami let him go shocked and he ran off yelling. "I COMING FOR YOU, BUGGY THE CLOWN!"
He zipped down the street and I snorted while shaking my head. Luffy laughed and Zoro smirked. Nami yelled. "Aren't you even worried and he was crying."
Luffy said. "Really? I didn't notice."
I smirked, yeah right. Nami asked Zoro. "What about your wound?"
Zoro asked. "That is already healed; my pride is the one that's wounded."
I said. "We have to make sure the old man doesn't die, right?"
Luffy nodded. "Yeah, I like the old man, I won't let him die."
Nami sighed in frustration, but she followed us anyway. I frowned in thought, why would she follow us, I could tell she feels bad for the old man, but I don't think she'd risk her life for him. Since she also tried to get Luffy hurt or killed, by the way I have to talk to her later about that.
My mind then went to a new topic, I hope the old man will be okay. I know not all old people are weak. There was Naguri who was strong. I shivered as I remembered the other strong old man, Grandpa. I seriously would be freaked out if we met Grandpa anytime soon and I know Luffy would feel the same. Just remembering his 'Fist of Love' is freaky. I felt a hard slap over my head and I glared at Nami. "Don't hit me!"
She snapped with her own glare."Then pay attention!"
I grumbled and looked ahead to see we were at the pirate ship and Buggy was strangling Boodle with a detached arm. Luffy grabbed the hand and strangled it and then Buggy got it back (still creepy to me). Boodle jumped up angry and I grabbed the hilt of my sword, but Luffy smashed his face into the wall. I blinked; he could have done that nicer, but whatever gets the job done.
Nami screamed at him and he said. "He was in the way."
I said. "Yeah, it's the safest way."
Zoro agreed too. "He would have just gotten in the way."
Nami yelled. "You could not have done that in a more human way!?"
She got no answer and Buggy yelled. "Buggy Ball!"
They looked at Buggy and I saw Luffy lift a thumb toward his mouth and my eyes widened as an amused grin lit up my face. I got behind Nami and Zoro. I grabbed them both by the shoulder and pulled them back a couple of feet. I said. "Might want to stay back for this."
They looked confused, but understood once he blew up like a ball and when the cannon ball hit his stomach, it flew back into the pirates. Smoke was around them and when it cleared. My eyes narrowed into a glare as I seethed. I'm sure Luffy, Zoro and even Nami felt the same. He was using his own crew to save himself. He dropped them and I noticed the tiger fall to the floor. Luffy then cupped his hands over him mouth and yelled. "HEY, BIG NOSE!"
My eyes widened as I grinned widely and then burst out in laughter. Nami and Zoro were not used to him yet and his ways, so they were shocked. Zoro merely scratched his head and said. "Way to warn someone".
Nami meanwhile was pissed. "Now you pissed him off!"
I raised an eyebrow. "You should be more relaxed."
She had a glare and waved a fist at me. I smirked and raised my hands in mock surrender. She hissed and spun back toward Buggy who was pissed. Then this guy with black hair with some green tint, long scarf and on a unicycle rolled over to Buggy. He reminded of the circus back in my own time.
He went to fight Luffy, but both I and Zoro stepped up as we saw his sword. Zoro gave me a glare and I huffed. He healed enough for a fight. I stepped back while looking him in the eye. This showed him that is was not out of fear, but respect. It's the Swordsman's code, kind of like not to get scared on the back as it's a shame, that's if you go by the real original code and I do. The only rule I broke was scar thing on the back and that was for Luffy, so I don't regret it. Austin taught me it.
I swallowed against the thickness of his name, even after all these years. I felt guilt pound me, but shook my head and reminded myself this was not the time and to deal with it later at a better time. He gave me a nod back showing he understood my reasoning. He then walked over to the unicycle guy and said. "I'll fight you, if swords are used that is".
The unicycle guy said. "Roronoa Zoro. I'll defeat you here."
Zoro snorted. "That's not the case."
Then they got ready to fight. He kicked Zoro right in the injury and I narrowed my eyes, he is no real swordsman. Zoro feel to his knees and I watched all of this with a stony look on my face. I wanted to watch this without interruptions. I didn't really know how strong Zoro was, the thing at the Marine Base could be counted as a rush of excitement or something. Zoro got up and the unicycle guy spun some tops of his that I see in Magic Shops, but they did not hit Zoro.
Buggy then decided to be a coward and try to hold Zoro down. I stepped forward with a glare and stepped on his hand with the heel of my boot. I grinded it a bit into the ground as I glared at him. He shouted in pain and yelled at me. "Ah! Get off!"
I snapped. "Never get in between a swordsman fight! Ever!"
I felt Nami's stare on me, but I ignored it. I heard the unicycle guy said something like not needing help, but I didn't pay attention to that. Buggy was my main concern. Buggy yelled. "Shut up, you flashy idiot!"
I don't get how I was flashy, you moron! I finally let go and whipped around to see Zoro stab himself and open his wound more. My eyes widened and it was just healing too. He said. "Now the wound does not matter."
I understood why he did it, but still that was stupid. Unicycle guy used some kind of weird mist and he came at Zoro with his sword, but Zoro did his quicker as he got the three of his ready for his Santoryu style. He said as he sliced him up. "Oni…Giri!"
I blinked, that either meant Demon Slash or…Rice Ball. I smiled despite the situation and as unicycle guy lost his unicycle, he mumbled. "I can't believe the Buggy Pirates lost to petty thieves."
Zoro smirked and said. "We're not thieves, we're pirates."
He then fell to the ground and said. "Luffy, I'm going to take a nap."
Luffy agreed and I said. "Night, Grass-head."
He gave me a grunt and mumbled. "Shut up."
He then fell asleep. I looked around and asked confused. "Where'd Nami go?"
He laughed and said. "She went to get treasure."
I smirked, from the short time I known here, it sounds like her. Buggy and Luffy started yelling at each other. Something about Pirate King and I almost laughed, as if someone like Buggy could become Pirate King. They stopped and were about to fight and I slipped away, I figured Luffy wanted to take care of Buggy and I knew Luffy could beat him so I was not worried. I wandered off and decided if I saw something like one of Buggy's crew, I would fight them.
Soon enough I did find someone as I walked out on a quiet enough dirt path and heard some booms. I decided to check it out as bored as I was. I walked over and hopped over a fence to see someone throwing mini explosions in houses and watching them blow up. I twitched, what a bastard. I called out. "Hey, you!"
The guy whipped around and I sighed as I looked at him. He had purple hair that was all over his head in an afro, but was spilt in three parts and in between the three parts were yellow, his had a red skin tight suit on and shiny green shoes that gave a large curl at the ends. I frowned; fighting this guy would be a joke and insulting to me. Whatever you have to do, I guess.
What was weird was that this guy had a sword too or more like a normal looking saber. I said. "Knock that off or fight me."
He grinned and dealing with these guys made me remember why I hated circuses and he said. "Nah, but I'll fight you. You must be one of these petty thieves! I'm Curly."
My eyes widened in shock at his guy and his name. Well. It looked like he picked the right shoes. I smirked at my thoughts. I slid my sword out and said. "Bring it on, clown boy."
He rushed at me and swung his saber down and I lifted my hand upward to block him easily. This is just mean at how weak he is. I then kicked him in the stomach and he hunched over. Opening my hand, grabbed the wrist that still has the Saber and twisted downward.
His shoulder ducked down and that made his body do it too. I then pulled my fist back and punched him right in the nose. I heard a nasty crunch and his cartilage break through my fist and he flew back only a couple of feet.
I looked at him a little shocked, I need to take Zoro up on that spar when he gets better, I have not fought it a while and used too much force. I shrugged and put my sword away. I walked off and heard Luffy yell something loudly. My eyes widened and I ran as I fast as I could in his direction.
The problem was that yell was not annoyed, or happy, a bit angry or even upset…it was enraged. I haven't heard him like that in a long time and I knew that if Buggy did this, he'd be in serous pain and…I would have nothing to do with it.
I saw him holding something and my blood rain cold as I saw what happened. I said. "What happened!?"
Luffy's hat had 3 deep gashing in the top. Luffy yelled without looking at me. "He ruined my treasure!"
Buggy laughed and said. "What have I told you before, treasure is only gold and jewels!"
My eyes darkened, that is why he is a poor pirate! Buggy laughed again. "Plus, it was Shanks hat, so it's okay!"
I gaped. Why would someone like Shanks know this loser?. "You knew Shanks!"
Buggy went red. "Yeah, he ruined my life."
He then proceeded to tell me without me asking about it. I was seeing red by the time he was done.
"He saved your life and that's why your angry?!He did the same for me and you don't see me hating him. Hell, I look up to him!"
I was seething at this point and I said through my shuttering angry breaths. "Luffy, he's all yours. Sorry about interrupting."
He said. "It's fine."
He tossed me his hat and I held it carefully and winced as if I was struck by the tears myself. I frowned, I was not good at tears, Makino gave us new clothes every 6 months to 8 months if we needed new ones, Dadan didn't really care about that and Grandpa never thought of it.
I plopped it on my head for now. Buggy yelled something like thief and I saw him turn his body in half. His upper half was coming this way and I stood planted in front of him as I saw Nami in back of me.
He sliced on the right side of my forehead, above my eyebrow and I yelped before kicking him hard in the stomach. He suddenly screamed like I killed something inside of him and I looked forward and winced. Luffy kicked him right in the balls. Not that that's not effective, I don't think I'd ever fight that way ever. I'm not a man, but ow. Some lady kicked Ace there when he was 16 and did he make a sound.
Buggy kept on complaining about his balls and Luffy yelled. "Your opponent is me, bastard!"
I wiped the cut over my eye to see it bleeding a bit. Luffy told Nami. "You should drop the treasure and get out of here."
Nami shook her head. "Why should I do that? It's MY treasure!"
Buggy said with a growl in his voice. "Did you say your treasure?"
Nami smirked. "Yeah, I'm a thief that steals from pirates so that makes it mine now!"
I snorted, well if should put's it that way…eh, stealing is stealing. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Luffy seemed to think it was logical and I just let him believe it for now. Sailing with someone that thinks like that is dangerous. Buggy yelled. "That is not how it goes; honestly what did your parent teach you?"
I snorted and rolled my eyes. "We are all outlaws, what does it matter?"
Buggy actually seemed to think about that, but then he shook his head with a scowl and said. "Shut up! I want my treasure back!"
Nami stuck her tongue out. "A criminal telling another what to do? Ridiculous!"
Suddenly all of his body parts flew everywhere. Luffy dealt with the feet and I kicked an arm and leg when it got to close to me and Nami hit it with her treasure. Then they had a tug of war with the money, the bag split open and Luffy hit him again saying. "I told you, this is my fight."
Luffy and Nami looked shocked at everything and they both yelled at the same time.
"The Map."
"The Treasure."
I just grinned and said. "It's raining money, woo!"
Nami yelled at me. "It's MINE, DON'T TOUCH!"
I raised my hands in mock surrender and Buggy was still yelling. She was collecting his body parts and had a rope around her shoulder. I grabbed the stray ones (hand, foot, and arm) and twitched a little at how weird it was. Nami tied them up and Buggy yelled. "Bara-Bara…Assemble!"
He was little a mini version of himself. He was pissed and Luffy did his Gum-Gum Bazooka and made him fly off in the sky somewhere. Glad that was over; clowns are just weird and creepy. Luffy then started cheering. "Yeah, I won! Victory!"
I grinned at the happy look on his face and went to stretch my hands over my head and frowned when I remembered what got him so angry in the first place. I took off his hat and gave it to him silently. His mood changed and he looked upset. I wish I knew how to fix it. Nami said when she noticed the look on his face. "I'm sorry your hat got torn up".
Luffy gave a smile and shrugged. "I can still wear it."
Nami said. "I could fix it for you."
I and Luffy both looked at her with hope.
"Aw! Forget it!" She then started talking about her bags of treasure. Luffy grabbed one and she looked at me expectedly. "You carried his cage right? You can carry this too."
I blinked at the outright demand. "What if I don't wanna?"
Luffy laughed under his breath. He knows when I get it my happiest moods like this, no way am I getting out of unless it is something extreme. Nami glared. "Just do it!"
I shook my head. "Nope!"
Nami snapped with her arms crossed over her chest. "Just do it!"
I grinned even wider, a teasing and mischievous glint in my eyes. I sung giving a ring to my words. "Oh, Nami? What are the magic words?"
Luffy laughed louder this time and she gritted her teeth. "Please."
I picked it up and slung it over my shoulder like Santa. I could see a tick right above her eyebrow and we walked over as she said more calmly. "I now have the chart to the Grand Line."
Luffy grinned. "Cool, will you join my crew now."
All she said was. "We will work together for a common goal."
Luffy cheered and I frowned and decided to think about all this when we were all on the ship and it was night time. We walked over to Zoro and he was still asleep. Luffy woke him up after some prodding and Zoro finally got up with a groan. Suddenly a bunch of villagers came and they freaked when they saw there Mayor on the ground. One asked. "What happen to him?"
Luffy cheerfully replied. "It was me, I knocked him out."
Nami yelled at him and the villagers were getting angry, another one asked. "Why did you do that?"
I was currently poking at Zoro's stomach trying to find his wound and seeing how bad it would be and I answered. "We're pirates."
Luffy and Zoro laughed and Nami freaked. Soon enough Zoro's arm was over Luffy shoulder and we ran away from the villagers into the town. Nami asked as we turned another corner. "Why didn't you tell them the truth?"
Luffy said. "They really cared about the mayor, no matter what we said would of changed it."
We turned the last alley way and we jumped over Chou-Chou to make it and he was the one to help us get away. I threw the bag of Berry on the boat that Nami pointed out was hers. I blinked when I saw the flag, Buggy the Clown.
She told me she stole it and I smirked as I relived who she stole it from. It's funny that I was thinking about them they appeared, but then Zoro scared them away with a single look and grumble. Nami got on her boat and we sailed on ours.
I heard a shout and saw that Boodle was at the shore and he was thanking us in tears and we said farewell to him. I grinned and leaned back on our own boat. My arms were behind my head and I closed my eyes and noticed Zoro do the same.
Currently, Zoro was leaning on the front, I was on the back and Luffy was on the middle. Suddenly, I heard some yelling and she yelling. "YOU LOST ME 5,000,000 BELLIES!"
My eyes snapped open at the loud voice and I saw her yelling at Luffy. I looked behind me to see a bag of it on the shore and Luffy said. "So what, they need it to build their town."
Nami grabbed his head and dunked it under water. My eyes widened as I grabbed the back of his vest and held on and Luffy kept on trying to come up while Zoro laughed. I sighed when she stopped and I muttered. "So much for doing things calmly."
Zoro gave a snort. I closed my eyes and this time I did get some sleep. But having Grandpa on my mind did not help.
Flashback
Ace had left 3 weeks ago and we were training or actually just finished. Me and Luffy had another spar, we were bruised up, well I was bruised, he was just cut up. I was unfair to me that he didn't really bruise. I think I might have pain in the morning and I think I might have gave Luffy a slightly bad cut on accident.
We walked back to the hut and I froze at the same time as Luffy as we heard. "WHERE ARE MY GRANDKIDS!?"
I looked at Luffy in shock and he mirrored me. I said. "Run!"
He nodded and we zoomed back into the forest. I heard Grandpa laughing behind us and I pulled Luffy by his shirt collar to the right. After running and screaming, 10 minutes later we were caught. He held us by our shirt collars and we just dangled 5 feet off the ground. I laughed nervously and I and Luffy said. "Hi, Grandpa".
He frowned. "Where is Ace?"
I grinned nervously. "Who knows, he runs around."
He looked at Luffy and I paled, he can't lie. Luffy said. "Ah, he's a pirate!"
I cursed. "Luffy!"
He said. "Sorry!"
He went red and then purple and then went still. He then dropped us to the floor and we both landed on our feet. He had this gleam in his eyes as he cracked his knuckles as a wild grin showed on his face. "New training exercise, start's now."
I and Luffy started running again, but he got us. Over and over and over…we were a bruised mass of skin (somehow he can make Luffy bruise) and he left grinning with the parting words of. "I'll come by more often to train you to become good Marines!"
I covered Luffy's mouth before he could say a word…
End flashback
I woke up with a start and shiver. I saw Nami patching up Luffy's hat and they all started at me. I mumbled. "Scary."
Luffy crawled over to me. I mumbled, still a little shocked from my dream. "Grandpa."
He nodded and said. "Scary."
Nami said. "I'm done, don't poke it too much."
He did than and in anger, she poked him in the head with the needle. A small dribbled of blood went down, but I knew it was nothing. Groaning, I put a hand over my head and luckily I had not dreams.
