Chapter 15

Fighting at Arlong Park

I and Luffy were now in what was called Arlong Park. The others were behind us and all the fishmen were glaring at us and annoyed, I glared angrily right back at them, hand twitching with the urge to slick them all up and give the pieces to our new chef to cook them up. Luffy yelled. "That's for making our Navigator cry!"

I glared at them harder in agreement. Some came forward and I shifted in front of Luffy, sword already out and stabbing two and knocking them away. He can take care of himself, but you can see that all the others are weaker than the ones that stayed put, they were scoping out the enemy. I looked to see Sanji beat up the other small fry near him. He said. "You just had to run off on your own, didn't you Luffy?"

Luffy was indifferent. "I was fine here."

Sanji was in disbelief. "I mean by hogging them to yourself."

Luffy nodded and said 'ah'. All of a sudden the Octopus looking one pointed accusing at Zoro and said. "That's the swordsman I was talking about."

Ah, he must have been the guy Zoro was talking about. I looked to see Zoro and Usopp catch up though the latter was hiding behind Zoro. They noticed though and started screaming and yelling (yes, there is a difference) about Usopp being alive when Nami 'killed' him. Well, aren't they kind of late?

All of a sudden Arlong, the bastard that hurt Nami and the one smashed in the fence decided to speak up. "A Pirate? This is all starting to make sense now. You had been after Nami this whole time. But-" He started laughing like a crazy person. "She's mine and I'm not giving her up."

He continued to laugh and I actually growled under my breath. How dare he talk about someone like that?! Like he can own someone?! The Octopus guy suddenly spoke up. "You all are a waste of Arlong's time! I know how to deal with you!"

I raised my eyebrows as he took the wide circle attached to his face to make noise and I tightened my hand on the hilt of my sword, what's going on?

My eyes widened in shock as the ground started shaking when a big ass creature that looked like a large cow on steroids came from the lake thing that was attached to the ocean and the only thing I could think of was that it was some kind of Sea King, like the one Luffy punched.

I looked at the bump on its head blankly, who the hell did that? I asked my question and Sanji and Luffy said they both did it. Sanji had a lot of hearts in his answer, but I learned to ignore it. I asked Luffy. "Why?"

He simply said that it tried to eat his food. I shrugged and found that was a full on Luffy answer. It whimpered as it looked at Luffy and Sanji, no doubt remembering. Arlong seemed to taunt it saying he could leave, but with a huge threat in his voice. I also found that his name was MooMoo.

It looked back at us ready to charge, but Luffy stomped his feet in the ground and I looked at him confused and annoyed, how does he expect to get out with his stretchy body? Before could say anything, I saw a certain spark in his eye that made me stiffen; I would like to call it the 'Ace Spark', something one of us would do when we had an idea that was a bit crazy.

He twisted his body and I said to crew. "Come here now."

They looked at me confused as I walked against the building and flattened myself against the wall. Usopp and Zoro trusted my 'brotherly instincts', so they did the same and so did Sanji. I was proven to be right when he stretched his arms to the cows horns and started swinging the Sea King around and smashed a couple of fishmen before flinging it back in the water making it flee. I ducked just in time before he gotten over to us. Luffy shouted. "Ok, Arlong, enough of this! I want to fight you and not this small fry!"

The fishmen stirred, a little insulted and I glared at them. Arlong still looked amused as he said. "I was thinking the same reason, giving me all the more reason to take your life."

Ha, like that would ever happen. Then a fishman with weird lips started saying he was too strong to deal with us or something like that. I mostly ignored it, I learned that these kind of guys were overly cocky about their abilities.

The octopus looking one grabbed the trunk (I think that's what it is) and sprayed some black liquid. I dived out of the way along with everyone else. I winced as Luffy was sprayed and was about to yell at him when I realized something and I literally felt the need to face wall (face palming not being enough). His feet were stuck in the ground!

I said as Zoro and Sanji yelled at him for being still. "Idiots! Look at his feet, their stuck and Luffy! You're an idiot for doing that in the first place!"

He tried to pull a leg out, it stretched and he gave an absentminded nod. I sighed in frustration as I got up. He had the black stuff all over him, I took a sniff and grimaced, Ink. I use enough in my log book to tell. The octopus man lifted rubble over his head in Luffy direction. I ran over as Sanji kicked it and I smashed to pieces with a sword. I smirked. Luffy looked at Sanji in awe, since he already knew what I could do. "That was awesome!"

I chuckled and agreed in my head, it was pretty cool. We have someone that could cook and fight, that seems like a bonus. His weird ass quirk could be put aside.

Sanji said. "What a pain. I picked one hell of an idiot to be my captain."

I heard Zoro say. "We all did."

I gave a snort, that's for sure, but he's my brother and captain so that's okay. Sanji then said. "But our captain is far better than someone who would prey on a lady."

Is that all he thinks about? He's like Luffy with meat, except for him, it's girls. They started talking about how girl friendly Sanji is and I lost focus and saw Usopp trying to pull Luffy out. After looking at them for a couple of seconds, I deemed them fine and looked at the other fishman. There was one that was eyeing Zoro, he was the octopus man. The one with fins eyeing Sanji and two others.

One with big lips that looked like it was looking for a kiss and the other had a blue body, a human-ish face, a small fin on the back of the head and this long thin sword like thing coming out of his face. Swordfish, It made me think of the Florida Marlins and I gave a snort shaking my head. I was brought from studying them by Usopp's yell. "ARE YOU EVEN TRYING!?"

I looked to see Luffy and Usopp flung into one of them and I put a hand on the hilt of my sword with narrowed eyes as Usopp said sorry. Usopp ran past us with the big lipped guy chasing him. I tensed to see the guy stop at the villagers, but them Usopp hit him with one of his fire ball things and chased him out of the park. I frowned as I watched them and shook my head deciding Usopp could fight, plus he had all those tricks up his sleeve. I looked back surprised to see Luffy out stretched fist caught by Arlong. I walked forward. "Oi!"

I moved closer to the rest of them as Arlong asked. "Do you think a sad group of people could beat us?"

I shrugged and said. "I beat up some orange guy and Zoro kicked half your asses already."

Zoro gave me a look that said, 'Really?'

I shrugged as Arlong looked at me all mad. "You think you're stronger because of that! We will hurt your transfold with our superior strength!"

I raised my eyebrows. "I can't see that happening."

He gave me a hate filled look (which I smirked at) and lifted Luffy up, concrete and all.

I gaped as me and Luffy both yelled at the same time.

"HEY, PUT HIM DOWN!"

"LET ME GO, DAMMIT!"

Arlong laughed with a crazed look on his face as I was beside Zoro and Sanji now. "Did you know Devil Fruit users can't swim?"

I've known that since I was physically ten! What would this half shark bastard know?! Luffy went to punch him, but he bit him. I snapped. "You bastard!"

Who the hell bites people in real life (excuse me when I did to that to the leader bandit)!? Does he thing he is a real shark, he sure looks as ugly as one. Luffy then decided to bit him too and I sighed, I know his name was Monkey, but did he have to follow the saying 'Monkey see, Monkey do'? He then threw him in the ocean and the water almost splashed overhead.

My eyes widened in rage and I almost zoomed to the edge and was grabbed by Zoro by my arm. Sanji was also stopped by Zoro and I glared at him and he replied. "They are the strongest in water, you're just running in their trap!"

Sanji stopped, but I gave Zoro a glare, looking right in his eyes to show how serious I was. He stared right back and I frowned deeply. "My brother is in there…"

He raised his eyebrow. "Do you want to go in an environment you can't fight in?"

He then talked louder. "The only thing to do is fight the enemy and get him."

I gave a nod and smirked, I want to fight the swordfish, as it seemed the Octopus wanted to fight Zoro. Zoro was going to fight the Octopus who I found out is named Hatchi and Sanji was going to fight the fin guy that insulted his women friendliness or something like that. I smirked as I was open to fight the swordfish.

We moved a bit away from everyone, but close enough where I can see the lake, Sanji, Zoro and their opponets. I and the Swordfish squared off. He rubbed a hand on the side of his nose and said cocky. "Prepare to be killed by the great Swordfish Tuna!"

My mouth dropped open in shock and my hand actually left the hilt of my sheathed sword. I looked down as my shoulders shook. He said a smug tone in his voice. "Ah, I see you fear the mighty Tuna and-"

I choked and threw my head back, laughing and almost roaring in my mirth. "You my annoying fishman have the funniest name I ever heard! What are you, a lunch dish!"

His face went purple in anger (I don't think blue can turn red). I heard gasps from the villagers and actually a couple say. "…She insulted his name, oh no!"

Another one said. "Poor girl, she looks so young."

He growled and hunched his shoulders forward a bit. "Human, you will now pay for that one!"

I gave him a wild grin. "Bring it on, Lunch Plate."

It was lame, but seemed to overly piss him off, from the sound of the villagers people don't do that and someone must of did it at one point to get that type of reaction. I wonder if eating him would be cannibalism and if he tasted as good as his name sounded. I hadn't had Tuna in a while though I missed it. He flung his sharp and long nose at me suddenly and I skidded to a stop, jumped away, just feeling the tip touch me in the chest area sharply. "That was fast!"

I pulled my sword out and clutched the hilt tightly. He came at me with his sword nose and I blocked with my sword, a weird grinding sound happened when they slid across. I winced at the pain as my feet skid across the ground. When I hit his nose, it felt like I was hitting stone and jarred my arm. I snapped. "What the Hell?! What is your nose, stone!?"

I regretted it when he went on saying his nose is the best and almost as great as 'Arlong-sama' and he had to quickly block my stab. I said annoyed. "I'm getting pissed off with all that Arlong crap! Luffy is going to kick his ass once and for all and help Nami!"

He laughed cruelly as I swung up and caught the attack at my jugular. "Yeah right! That strawhat human will be killed!"

I growled and struck upward, anger in my movements. That was how it was us blocking each other and then he used a new tactic, which was when we were blocking each other. He kicked me in the stomach. I let out a cry as I fell on my back as pain was in the middle of all my ribs. That was way worse than the first one! I got up, stumbling with a groan and glared. "…Bastard…"

He laughed at me and I swung my sword to block another strike, but managed to block his kick and then he used both hands to punch my shoulder and stomach. I let a choked gasp as a crack filled the air and I sort of tumbled to the ground, rolling a little. Before that, I tightened my hand on my sword so it didn't fall, I would never allow that. I was on my stomach as I looked up at him.

I went to move, but he suddenly had speed and I was flipped on my back with a heavy blue webbed foot on my stomach, toes reaching my chest. I blinked up at him, feeling something wet sliding in my ear. I grimaced as it must have been blood. I twitched at the pain in my calf, it was mostly healed. I glared. "Get off me, Tuna Plate!"

He looked pissed and I heard the villagers gasp and I forgot they were there. He lifted his foot and before I could move, he slammed it in my stomach hard. A gasp tore from my throat as I felt myself get pushed in the concrete. I tightened my fists at the broken rib and I clenched my teeth as he did it again and again and again…over and over. I croaked out as my mind started seeing black spots. "That all you got, half fish tuna bastard."

Yeah, not the smartest idea I had. My head was almost in the ground as the crater was huge. He yelled. "Don't you understand?! We fishman are better than you! Soon, you and all your friends will be killed and Nami will belong to us like she should be and do what she is used for in the first place!"

I tensed, ignoring the pain and opened my eyes to look at him, rage in my eyes. "Huh? What did you say?"

He looked at me with a sneer. "Everyone knows that the weak should be taken care of and be controled over by the stronger!"

I glared at him hatefully. Sabo and Nami's face coming to mind…she is Nakama and I can't fail, I won't! I growled. "How dare you?!"

He looked at me shocked and I grabbed his nose in my hands and pulled myself up, slamming a knee in his stomach and my hilt into his back when he was bend over. He was on his back and then jumped up outraged. He came at me and I duck with a slice to each side of his ribs.

I stomped forward, pain nonexistent. "How dare you say that?! Nami is a friend of ours and you have been hurting her and all she cares about. You and that scumbag half fish Arlong is why she won't be happy and sail with us! Bastards like you piss me off!"

I punched him in the chest and screamed in pain when his nose was burrowed deep in my right shoulder. He laughed. "See what I told you, all that fancy talk was for nothing!"

I growled under my breath. I grabbed his nose that in my shoulder grabbed his nose tightly and slid back. I came out with a slopping noise that I ignored. I didn't let go but slid my hand up until it was at the middle of it and kind of wrapped my arm around it. I said under my breath.

"If you're so proud of this nose…" I twisted my arm using my strength I gained over the years and then there was a large…

CRACK

I looked to see the skin covered nose in my hands and I dropped it to the ground. He had about 1 ½ of it left. I switched my stance with my sword behind me and said. "One sword style."

I then raced past him and slashed at his chest with an X and was a little far away from him. I held my head up and sheathed my sword as he said. "That was-gahhhh!"

He crashed on his back, a bloody X wound in his chest. I smirked lightly and shoved my hands in my pockets. "That Strawhat Captain you were saying was going to die is my brother and he's going to kick your captain's ass."

He gave me a weak glare and passed out. I walked away and to where the villagers were watching the fights along with Yosaku and Johnny. They gaped at me and I grinned. "Hi."

For some reason that made them gape and one said. "Thank you so much, he been one of the worst here."

I nodded. "I figured that was true from how cocky he was."

This old guy that had the Red Cross symbol on him so I figured he was the doctor. "Miss…"

I looked at him and said. "Mace."

He nodded and continued.

"Miss Mace, what about your injuries?"

I thought about it for a second and then my ribs, head, arms and shoulder hurt. My face twisted in pain. "OW! Dammit, this hurts!"

Their jaws all dropped in shock and they all screamed. "YOU JUST NOTICED THIS NOW!?"

I chuckled slightly; wounds are normal at home, most of the time I could ignore them. The pain usually comes to me after a fight. I then heard a big gushing sound and grinned when I saw Luffy. I heard Zoro and Sanji also call his name and I laughed. "That's my brother!"

I winced, ow that hurt. I also noticed that Nami was here. I grinned and walked over to her. "Hey Nami."

She said, turning to me. "Hey, Mace how are you-WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU!?"

I winced and put a finger in my ear. "Ok, ow and I fought that guy…Tuna."

I stopped because I had to laugh at his funny name and Nami did smiled slightly. I said "I'm fine, I'll heal."

Arlong must have heard us because he said. "Who are you human?"

I blinked at the question and glared. "I know who you are, but I'm Nami's friend and crewmate, but what's it to you?"

He gave an annoying laugh. "You're crewmate?! She mine, you filthy human!"

I smirked at him and said. "I don't think so, jagged nose."

I heard Nami sigh and she her hand around my arm, holding it tightly. It made me tense; this bastard made her this scared…He seemed to glare. "Who are you to talk, look at you?"

I frowned and said, wanting to anger him. "Well, yeah I just kicked a dude called Tuna's ass and ripped his nose straight off! Do his parents hate him or something, who names their kid Tuna? Fishman or not?"

Arlong was fuming and I felt all the shocked stares on me. I know I should quit while I'm ahead, but since Luffy was fighting him, at least I could do this. Nami by this time almost cut the circulation off my arm, but I didn't say anything.

Arlong thundered. "YOU. GOT. RID. OF. TUNA'S. NOSE!?"

I nodded. "It was kind of annoying and in the way."

Ok, I'd admit I love to piss people up past the boiling point if I'm either pissed or I don't like someone. I stepped away from the others and he charged at me, pupils dilated. I blocked his nose aimed at my heart and I groaned as my wounds protested.

My eyes widened in shock as my feet slid, this nose is worse than Tuna's! I pushed back and got a couple of inches, but didn't work that well. I then heard. "Mace-chan!"

I ignored Sanji and Zoro's curse and concentrated, sweating. Arlong snarled. "You will pay for that!"

I then heard loud laughter and knew who it was, Luffy. I backed off and ducked. Arlong actually stopped trying to attack me as his eyes went to Luffy. I gaped in shock when he threw a heavily injured Zoro far off in a safer area. He could have just said that he had it or something, then again he was always one with actions and not words.

Arlong looked pissed from earlier and looked even more mad (if that was possible) that my brother was still alive. Ha, that's what he gets for being a bastard! Plus I would never my brother to die, neither of them, not again at least. Luffy hit Arlong with a stretched foot and then hit him with a full blown Gum-Gum Gatling. I watched satisfied as he was knocked down. I knew it would take a lot more than that, but watching this still made me feel good, the villagers must of felt elated and all.

I sheathed my sword and walked over to Nami. My wounds were really straining me so I walked stiffly and then I was in front of Nami. I then plopped to the ground and leaned slightly against her knees, feeling a little tired. I shut my eyes. She didn't say anything, so I guess she was fine with it. I heard Yosaku ask. "Will Luffy be okay, fighting a guy like this?"

I snorted and grinned amused, not opening my eyes. "Yeah, he will. I and Luffy train harder than this a couple of years ago!"

I heard Nami mumble like she was not paying attention. "That's because you are all monsters."

I nodded and said proudly. "And proud of it!"

I opened my eyes and looked back to see Arlong have him by the throat and then tried to bit him, but bit a pillar instead, crumbling it. I winced as I imaged those razor sharp this tearing into my brother's skin. I hitched a breath and then flinched at the pain as Luffy got away from him. Arlong started talking about himself and then Luffy said. "I won't be defeated by a fishman; I'm going to be King of the Pirates."

His line, the one he always says. Arlong seemed to think he was funny as I said. "Man, this guy really must brush his teeth."

I felt Nami's knee hit the back of my head softly. "Shut up, idiot."

At least she was acting like herself even if her scolding hits are a lot softer. Arlong said. "King of the Pirates? Don't be foolish. An inferior human like you could not conquer the Grand Line. You can't even crush a pillar with your jaws."

Luffy yelled. "Yeah, so what? You're not that awesome! Besides smashing stones with your teeth is not that smart."

Arlong yelled. "That's not the point!" Luffy does have a point there, huh, why would you want to ruin things people built?

Arlong said. "Every member of the human species is weak. How great are you if you can't pull yourself out of the water?"

Arlong went to bite Luffy and he dodged grabbing 2 swords. I blinked and Johnny asked me. "Mace-Aneki? You taught Luffy-Aniki to use a sword?"

I shook my head, bewildered. "No, I can't say I have."

He then started swinging them around like crazy and I winced turning away. That worse than when Zoro was fighting Mihawk and tried to go all out! I think I might have even let out a whimper because Nami asked. "Are you okay?"

I replied back wincing as I looked at Luffy. "…That is such bad swordplay."

She sighed and I looked to finally see him stop and I breathed a sigh of relief. Luffy then punched him in the cheek. My brother said loudly. "Your right! I can't use swords, you bastard! I can't cook or navigate or even lie! I'm not all that smart either. Without my friends, I would have died a long time ago!"

He seemed to think since I came from the future and was already sixteen when I met him (mentally), I'm really smart, when my brain is just normal. I chuckled and said under my breath. "Yeah and I can't navigate, cook very well or stretch either, Luf."

I don't know if he heard me, but I saw his grin get wider. So maybe he felt it or something, man does that sound cliché. I shook my head and brought myself back to the fight to see Arlong berate him again and Luffy then punched him in the face and his teeth actually popped out. I grinned and then punched the air. "Hell ya, that's what I'm talking about!"

I then winced and grabbed the puncture wound in my shoulder chanting. "Ow, ow, ow…"

Nami slapped my head and tsked. "Idiot, don't do that."

I decided to snap at her again when I didn't have this many injuries. I would never admit it, but they hurt…a lot. I watched in shock as his teeth actually grew back. Well, since he is a shark…that still ain't fair. I bit my lip in worry as Arlong attacked him, but he dodged and one of the fishmen appeared and pissed the shark man off.

Luffy then suddenly said he had an idea and I could not help but feel worried. Luffy decided to hit him again, making his teeth fall out again. I sat up more and leaned forward as I waited to see what my little brother would do. He grabbed the teeth and put them in his own mouth saying. "See! Now I have the same teeth!"

They all gaped at him and I made the largest grimace ever saying. "That's so nasty and unsanitary! I'm okay with a lot of gross things, but that crosses the line! Does he know where those have been!?"

Nami looked at me amused despite the situation and Arlong bit him and when Luffy tried to bite him back, threw him to the ground and Arlong bit his elbow. Luffy then slammed him to the ground and Arlong then dived in the water. I watched this all with bated breath as he was bitten a couple of times.

I know Luffy will beat the bastard, but who wants to see their little brother get eaten, I like to see an older brother be okay with that. I can't do nothing, but watch! It was driving me insane, much as I hate to say it, I would not be much help with all these injuries. Luffy went flying while a shape crashed into the building that had a shark on the top it, very original.

I narrowed my eyes to see Luffy hold his stomach and growled to see Arlong plow into him a couple more times before going back into the water. Come on Luffy! You may be impulsive, but it was the way he was. I seen him take a lot of hits in a fight, but of course rise up.

I gave a snort and then full out laughed when Arlong started to actually look like a prowling shark in the water and Yosaku and Johnny told him to run away. I said with a proud grin. "He's Luffy, he'd never run!"

I blinked at how dizzy I was getting, talking about long lasting blood loss. I put a hand to my head and righted myself. Nami asked me. "Mace! Are you okay!?"

I gave a slight nod. "Yeah. Luffy. Fight. Watch."

I was talking in short bursts, my head was now throbbing. My chin hit my chest and I close my eyes for a second and it got dark. I had someone shaking me and I looked to see Nami concerned and anxious look. "Get up! You might have a concussion!"

I nodded and cursed myself. "How's Luffy doing!?"

I looked to see him not there, but a lot of crashes coming from the shark building thing. Nami told me. "Luffy is in there."

I bit my lip in worry; I can't actually watch the fight in there. I decided to get up. I picked up one leg up after the other and ignoring the pain, I was on my two feet. I almost jumped to see a desk flying out a room and hit the floor as Yosaku and Johnny worried. I looked blankly as white paper fell down. I reached with a good arm and picked a couple from air.

I frowned as I took in what they were. Sea Charts or maps. I looked at Nami and see seemed to tear up and mumbled. "My room…"

I smiled and crumbled up the papers in my hand. I heard more banging and could vaguely hear some enraged shouting. So they were in Nami's room and he decided it had to be destroyed. I smirked and cleared my throat, yelling. "DESTROY THAT ROOM!"

People jumped and the villagers, Usopp and Sanji looked at me in shock and Nami cries increased and I pretended to hear nothing. Suddenly the room came crumbling down along with the Shark building. But then it seemed Arlong Park was going to come down and everyone was getting ready to run off, but I didn't, my brother was still in there. Nami was pulling on my arm and I said. "Go!"

Nami looked at me shocked. "You need to go, your injured and-"

I said quietly. "Go."

She did and I looked to see as Arlong Park crashed and there was only rubble. I had pieces fall on me and I was a little bit more than ankle deep, but stood still. Luffy then stood there alone, basically in the spotlight.

He then yelled loudly. "NAMI!" After a pause, he went on. "YOU ARE MY NAKAMA!"

I grinned widely and threw my head back, laughing with shaking shoulders and the villagers cheered him on. I stopped laughing and grinned at Luffy surrounded by the happy villagers. He gave me a secret grin and I gave him one back. I slumped my shoulders and then groaned loudly as I fell on my back. All my injuries started hurting. Seeing darkness in my vision I finally fell asleep.

I woke up to scream and felt that I was laying on something soft. I jumped onto it and into a crouch with my hand going to my hip and then putting my fists out feeling it not there. I then had pain in my shoulder and whole chest area and groaned; crashing on what I now realized was a bed. I heard someone yell. "Help your friend! She's gonna hurt herself more!"

I looked to see Luffy grinning as he came over to me and I jumped when I heard Zoro scream? I asked. "What's going on!?"

Luffy laughed and sat cross-legged next to me. "The Doc here is fixing his stitches."

I nodded; I'm not exactly a professional. I asked. "So, how bad am I hurt anyway?"

Luffy was quiet and Usopp actually came in. "1 broken rib and an almost skewered shoulder and a lot of bruising around your stomach and back of the head."

I looked at the bandages from below my chest to the top of my hips. Luffy and Usopp left and the doctor let me leave (giving me back my sword which I was grateful for, saying to be careful since I was still injured).

So I went around the village accepting various foods and quenching my new alcohol thirst. I was a pirate so I went along with it. A lot of people were thanking me, seeing how I fought that sword fish guy Tuna (I still laugh about that name). Now I was full and feeling warmed up because of the booze. Later on in the night, I laid against the wall where I found Luffy and slept next to him, happy for something normal. Usually people didn't like us for me and Ace bonded through our fun of pranking.

It was the beginning of the third day when I found Nami. She was in this house as I was wondering around. There were a lot of orange grooves here and I waved. "Hey Nami."

She looked up surprised and then waved back. "Mace? What are you doing here?"

I shrugged and scratched the back of my head, not wanting to admit I was lost. "You know, looking around…"

I finished lamely. She shook her head with a smirk. "So you got lost."

I sighed and winced slightly at the pain in my chest. "Don't have to say it like that."

She laughed and said. "You feeling okay?"

I gave her a smirk. "As much as you can be with a fishman crushing you into the ground with his creepy webbed feet."

I laughed to myself, chuckling. Nami was quiet and I saw her avoiding my eyes. I sighed again and decided to use an Ace approach, I punched her in the head. She looked at me with a glare and I stood up, stuffing my hands in my pockets. "Don't be guilty like that. We helped you because were Nakama and wanted to help you, we rather be hurt. I, ah…rather be hurt, so stop feeling guilty, okay?"

I'm not that good with feelings. She stood up too and nodded her head and suddenly laughed. "You know, you're like Zoro. Once someone gets to know you, you're like a big softy."

I huffed and rubbed the back of my head. "Don't say that, you'll ruin my reputation."

She laughed at me once more and we walked to the excitement of the village.

After eating more and drinking more, we were back at the docks, getting ready to leave and getting our supplies ready. I was grabbing crates and throwing them up to Zoro, who caught them. What, we were both injured, so what!? We can ignore the pain.

Soon enough we were on the boat and waiting for Nami. I ignored Sanji while he wailed about Nami not being here yet and moaning at everyone. I ignored him as leaned near the mast and everyone was doing what they had to do. Suddenly someone was running and I saw orange hair. The villagers were yelling at her to stop when she yelled. "Set sail!"

I looked at Luffy and he said. "You heard her."

I chuckled and grabbed the chain to the anchor, putting it on board. I clentched my teeth at the pain as I hissed. I walked back over to the main deck to see Nami show up, wallets falling out of her shirt. I laughed as the villagers yelled at her and grinned, that's the old Nami I remember.

She waved them goodbye and that was when we set sail. I yawned and felt tired, injuries and my usual self making me tired. I went into the girl's room and went to my bed across the room (taking off my sword and boots, putting them next to it), getting comfortable. Too bad the boys only have hammocks.

Sighing, I finally fell asleep.
