The day when Humphrey was stab by Garth, devastated Kate. The day after that, Kate spend time Humphrey in the hospital while he was in a coma. And now today, Kate has to go back to school, the day without her crush.
Kate was driving in her car with Lily on their way to school. Kate's heart and eyes are full of emotions, hope, and sadness. She feared that Humphrey might not make it.
She had terrible nightmares about it. Kate wanna admit her feelings towards Humphrey, but she need to know him good. Kate didn't want that, she wanna admit her feelings now, she knows that Humphrey is the nicest boys she know in the school.
What Kate made her scared the most as she arrived at the school, is when she saw Garth with a cast on his neck, getting out of his dad's truck. Kate wanted to beat up Garth so bad but she don't want to hurt Lily's feelings.
They got out of their car and Lily went up to Garth. Kate wanted to give more punishment to Garth but he already got one and it is the most painful one, getting his neck snapped by Humphrey.
Kate went up to her friends, being so depressed. "Kate, it's alright. Humphrey's going to be awake and he is okay, just wait until you see it" said Lilac. "I know but it's not good enough" said Kate tearing up a little bit.
The girls group hug with Kate, feeling sorry for her. "Kate, it's alright...Humphrey will be okay, we just had a feeling of it and we know you can feel it too" said Anne sob a bit.
Garth went up to Kate with a guilty and sad face. "Kate..." said Garth. Kate immediately turn around and glared at Garth with hatred and anger, wanting revenge.
"What do you want Garth" said Kate angrily.
"I'm sorry for pushing you into the ground, can you give me a second chance" said Garth. Kate shook her head. "No, you hurt me more than that" said Kate as she walk away Garth, crying.
"You know why you hurt Kate more than that Garth" said Candy angrily. "What" asked Garth. "It's because she has a crush on Humphrey when she first laid her eyes on him, now she won't forgive you forever. Kate will stay mad at you for what you had done" explained Candy.
Just then, the principal walked up to Garth. "Garth, if Humphrey dies, you're going to get expelled and go to jail for the rest of your life, for hurting Humphrey and killing him, your punishment will be you will have no fun in class and you are going stay in detention class forever until Humphrey is alive and you will be out" explained the principal.
"I understand sir" said Garth. Kate walk up to Garth. "And if you're trying to force me to marry you or take advantage of me. My mom will literally hurt you until the day you die". And with that, she went inside the school.
Garth stood in fear and remembered how aggressive Eve really is.
"And you should be nice to Humphrey" said Kate as she walk towards him again. "He had a rough life, losing his parents. His parents died in a car accident and it is much worse than your mom's. Humphrey was devastated along with his sister. Imagine if you were Humphrey, how the fuck you feel about having a rough life" said Kate sob a bit.
"It's true, we have a rough life" said Heather walking up to Kate and stand next to her looking at Garth.
"And now my life is now a nightmare" said Heather crying onto Kate's shoulder. Kate hug her and cried along with her.
The bell rang and Kate and Heather stopped crying while they went inside.
Garth slowly walk towards the detention class. Lily walk up to him. "Garth it's okay, you didn't know. You will find another girlfriend, she's out there somewhere, waiting for her true love to appeared" explained Lily. "And how can you find that".
Garth look at her as Lily place her hand on his chest where his heart is. "It will be right here, your heart tells you how to find it" said Lily smiled at him. Garth smiled back as he remove her hair out of the way to see her other eye.
"Wow" amazed Garth. "Wow what" asked Lily. "Your eyes...they're beautiful" said Garth. Lily blushed and didn't know he likes her eyes. "Well, I gotta go see ya Lily" said Garth walking to detention class.
"Yes Garth tells me that my eyes are beautiful, this feels amazing" whispered Lily to herself as she put her fur back to reveal both of her eyes and start walking to class.
Days past and Humphrey hasn't awake yet. Kate's despair is getting close. Heather says that his liver has been healed but he's still not awaken yet.
"Well that's good that his liver is healed but why he's not awake yet but still in coma" said Kate. "Well, they say that he pass out from the pain because the knife tears off his muscle tissue and blood veins, loosing all the blood" explained Heather.
Kate starts to panic. "Is he going to make it" Kate asked quickly. "Well we don't know but you should watch his heart monitor, it's getting better every time" said Heather smile a little. "But don't worry Kate, Humphrey's strong. He can fight the pain, all you need is to give faith to him". Heather continued on.
"Also, if you don't have faith. Beg the gods" said Heather. Everyone laughed. "Is that one of Humphrey's jokes" asked Kate. Heather nodded.

Kate was driving to home with Lily. "Hey Kate guess what" said Lily happily.
"What" said Kate happily also, waiting for answers about Humphrey.
"I forgot to tell you the day that Garth comes back, Garth tells me that I have beautiful eyes" said Lily. Kate notice her hair. "I can see that" said Kate sadly.
"Kate, I know you're waiting for answers about Humphrey and I know you really want to stay him alive" said Lily. "I know" said Kate.
Meanwhile, Heather was at her house to see her parents with wide smile. "Heather guess what" asked Sara. "What mom" said Heather.
Sara and Felix smiled wildly as their smile stretch across their faces.
"Humphrey is awake" they both said in a unison.
