A/N I need to say a huge thanks to my very good friend OoJasper'sAngeloO for her beta work and her support. We are gonna see just what Jasper did to Alice. We will also be hearing from Catherine, and Edward as well as Alice. Sorry this took so long but I'm still moving. We will be all moved in this weekend except for odds and ends. Our internet service will hopefully be turned on Saturday so maybe I can get back into the swing of writing.

I do not own Twilight or any of the characters, although Catherine is mine.

Rose's POV

Several things happened the second Alice lunged for Catherine. First thing was Jasper had moved her to the chair and was in front of her, Emmett was headed to grab Alice and Edward moved to stop Emmett.

Before we even realized what was going on Jasper had Alice by the throat and ripped her head off. Edward then decided to try to stop Jasper and ended up with his head off as well. Jasper proceeded to rip Alice up and then moved to Edward. I have never seen this side of Jasper before and he was quite scary.

Once he was finished he went to Catherine who was behind Char being sheltered from the sight of vampires being ripped apart. He gently picked her up and ran upstairs. I knew that he wouldn't hurt her, but I also knew that right now his mating instincts had kicked in and he was on high alert, ready to kill anything or anyone that he felt was a threat to her.

Carlisle did try to follow to check on her, but Jasper's snarls and growls let him know not to even try to go near either one. After a few minutes we could hear the shower running and knew that he was cleaning her. She probably got some venom on her when he picked her up.

I didn't need any gift to know exactly what was going on. He would smell Edward and Alice's venom on her and want to get it off of her. After he had cleaned her up he would then need to claim her, although he would be careful and it would be him making love, but it would be much harsher than she is probably used to. Still he wouldn't hurt her too much.

Then he'll want her to rest knowing that she's human. He will curl around her body and then purr for her. It will bring comfort to both her and him. Once she is awake and well rested then maybe he'll calm down. This is part of vampire life that has always been confusing to me. How can the male be so violent, so ready to kill without even batting an eye and yet be so tender towards the female? This happens with all male vampires, at least the ones I have known.

When Catherine finally woke up Jasper had calmed down and she was able to calm him the rest of the way. She was still feeling tired but felt like she could eat. She is able to eat more than Bella had been able to at this point, but she is also drinking small amounts of blood much sooner than Bella did.

She was starting to show a little, which again was different than Bella. Bella is much bigger than Catherine is and Carlisle is concerned that the baby may cause her more damage because she is so tiny. Luckily for her Jasper is not a very large male. He's the shortest male in the family. Carlisle is hoping that the baby will be small as well.

I approached them after she was finished eating and I knew that Jasper was now back to normal. I asked him if Carlisle could check Catherine for her daily exam and he then took her upstairs to Carlisle's office where he still had the room where he used to examine Bella.

Once her exam was over I heard Carlisle ask both of them if they were up to resuming the meeting. Both Edward and Alice had been spending the time healing at the cottage, the very one they had Jasper come to and then ripped him apart. Although Carlisle had kept their legs and told them that after the meeting that he would be re-attaching their legs. It was the only way Jasper would agree to allow them anywhere near his mate.

It was decided that we would finish the meeting at the cottage. Once Catherine had dressed warmly we all headed over there. Jasper refused to allow Catherine to walk that far and was carrying her bridal style. Normally she would have argued with him, but she also knew that him carrying her was mostly for his benefit and not hers. He needed to take care of her.

Bella was both angry and sad. I have a feeling that Edward just may have lost her for good. While it was her own husband who had helped to bring pain on a tiny human girl indirectly, she had quickly become friends with her. Catherine had found a friend in Bella and although Jasper was carrying her, Bella stayed close to her as well.

Once at the cottage, Carlisle had Emmett go and retrieve Edward and Alice who had taken Jasper's place in the basement. It was only fitting after all. They were both very upset at being "manhandled and forced to stay in the basement like they were animals." Their words not mine. I had to laugh at that one.

As soon as they were seated on the floor Edward tried to get Bella to talk to him, but she just told him to "Shut up and do what he was told to do for once."

Carlisle quickly took command of the meeting, "Edward, Alice, I'm truly sorry that I haven't allowed you to have freedom, or given your legs back. Alice you tried to attack an innocent human girl and Edward you would have allowed her to badly hurt or even kill Catherine. I cannot condone it or take the risk of it happening again. Therefore you will both remain without legs at least until we are finished here.

I would have never believed that I would ever see the day when I would be ashamed by your actions. Yet here I sit having to wonder if I did something wrong to make the two of you act the way you have been acting towards a member of this family and now another member has joined us and Alice tried to physically attack her. We need to try to understand why you would be so cruel towards Jasper.

There is much we need to discuss, but first we need to lay down some ground rules. When one person is speaking, no one is allowed to interrupt them. Once they are done, then questions can be asked or rebuttal made to what was said and under no circumstances is anyone to attack anyone else. Is everyone clear on that so far?"

He waited until everyone had agreed before going on, "Now, if it gets to be too late and Catherine needs a break just let me know and we'll give her time to rest, eat and have her human moments. We need to be mindful of her condition right now.

Edward, Alice, I want you to meet Catherine Whitlock. She is Jasper's mate and wife. I expect both of you to respect her and her mate, as well as treat her gently. I will warn you both now, if either of you try to hurt her in any way, I will not try to stop Jasper from attacking you, especially now. She is pregnant with Jasper's child."

Alice was growling at this point, but stopped when Carlisle threatened to have her taken back down to the basement. He was dead serious and both of them, I think, was seeing Carlisle in a whole new light. Actually we all were. He was finally speaking up for Jasper. Carlisle then told Edward to start.

"I don't know what is going on, but I can tell you that Catherine is most certainly NOT Jasper's mate. Alice is his mate and I should know. I have seen her visions where they are happy and in love. He's just too selfish to do what he should be doing which is make Alice happy.

Although I can't understand how she could want him. He's nothing, but a scarred up monster. I only wanted to help her to try to get Jasper to do what is right. She deserves to be happy and Jasper makes her happy when he's doing what he's supposed to be doing and that's taking care of her.

Now it seems that he has a pet, one that he will tire of eventually and kill her. He's not worthy of being a part of this family. He's proven time and time again that he's uncontrollable, that he's nothing more than a monster who will kill for no reason at all. I believe that his presence in this family should be removed.

He's dangerous, I vote that he should either man up and take care of his true mate, or be made to leave. I don't want him to be around Nessie and now that he has taken a human pet I want him as far away from her as possible."

Catherine was growling by the time Edward was done. She was sitting in Jasper's lap and I knew that she was about to explode. Suddenly she jumped up and was yelling at Edward, "How dare you. How dare you treat Jasper like an animal. You think that you are so much better than he is. Well here's a newsflash for you, you're not.

All he has ever wanted was to be accepted and loved in spite of his past. You have always thrown it in his face and deemed him worthy of your disgust. He's a man that has been through hell and back and survived. Yes he has killed, but so have you.

Who in the fuck do you think you are to try to say that he's not worthy of love or forgiveness, or even kindness and respect? He has a gentle and loving heart, unlike you. All he has done since he joined the family has more than made up for his past.

His desire was to be part of a loving family. You took that and used it against him to beat him down so you could control him as well as the family. I don't even think you realize the depth of the love he has for this family, or maybe I should say for his brother and sister, as well as Carlisle and Esme.

You wouldn't even allow him to spend time with his niece whom he loves deeply, you arrogant asshole. How about I bring up the fact that you refused to even let Carlisle and Esme get close to him. You and Alice made sure he wouldn't get close to them. If he had then you wouldn't be able to control him, or the family.

It didn't matter if Emmett and Rose got close to him. You had enough control over Carlisle and Esme that no matter what they did or said it would be the two of you that they would trust because of your gifts. They had no reason to not trust you.

Apparently your gift has made you arrogant and stupid. You think just because you can read minds that you know everything and what's best for others. You know what? If you want to see a real monster go look in the fucking mirror!"

"Carlisle, are you going to let that human slut talk down to Edward like that? She needs to leave, she's done nothing but cause trouble and I doubt that the baby she's carrying is even Jasper's." Alice screeched.

Jasper never had a chance to reply or attack. Emmett had jumped up and had Alice by the throat. As far as he was concerned, that was his baby girl Alice was talking about. Even Carlisle couldn't calm Em down enough to not hurt her. He removed her hands and refused to give them back.

Carlisle decided that both Edward and Alice posed a risk to Catherine and for once in his life did something right. He banned both of them from the house and neither would have their legs back until after the baby was here. He had enough worries about her without having to worry that either of them might try to harm her.

Bella did take time to talk to Edward and made it clear that he wasn't the man she thought him to be. Neither her nor Nessie would be coming around him. She told him that he needed to think about his actions and if he realized how wrong he had been then maybe there would be hope for their marriage.

Unfortunately Em and I got the job of bringing them blood when it was needed. Em though loved the thought of them being at our mercy for once in their life and decided that he was going to show them how it felt to be treated as less than important. Carlisle also had one more thing to say before we left them.

"Whether you believe it or not Catherine is Jasper's mate. Both of you should know what the penalty is for trying to come between mates. If the Volturi were to ever find out what the pair of you did, it would mean instant death for both of you.

I think its only fair that you two are shown just what you have done. I have asked Jasper to let you feel what he has felt every time you berated him. He's also going to let you feel what he felt when you tricked him into coming here and separated him from his mate.

Of course then you both will feel the pain of being kept outside of the family for awhile. I refuse to cause Jasper who is as much my son as you were Edward, any more pain than he has already felt because of the two of you.

Jasper, Catherine, please believe me when I say I had no clue. I'm deeply disturbed that I never realized what they were doing. I hope that you both can find it in your hearts to forgive an old vampire such as myself and allow me to try to make amends."

Of course that led to Esme apologizing as well. There were hugs all around and then we left. Carlisle was going to stay behind to talk to them some more before coming back to the house. Catherine was an emotional wreck and Jasper was doing his best to calm her down.

Bella met with Jacob and Nessie and then had to explain to her daughter that her dad wouldn't be living with them for awhile. He had done some things that he shouldn't have and explained that Catherine would be staying with us and she was having a baby.

As Catherine got further into her pregnancy, it became harder on her. Fortunately she had made a friend in Nessie and for the first time Nessie was able to get to know her uncle Jasper. It made it easier on her to know that for the first time ever Jasper was able to spend peaceful time with the whole family.

Carlisle kept close tabs on Catherine and the baby. Jasper's gift was a big help when the baby became too active and started hurting her. He would calm the baby down to the point of sleep. Although it usually put her to sleep as well.

It was good to see him talking to the baby and to see how happy Catherine made him. He spent most of his time with her and only left her to hunt. Even then she had Bella, Esme or myself with her until he got back.

We did talk about when she would be turned. She wanted to wait until the baby was at least a year old. That way she would see all of the firsts before being turned. Of course there was always the danger of her having a half vampire baby that might mean she would need to be turned sooner if something went wrong.

I was bothered for some reason by the fact that Edward and Alice were close by. I knew they couldn't do anything because they didn't have legs to walk with so they were prisoners at the cottage, just like Jasper had been. If only I had listened to my instincts. Maybe I could have stopped it before anything happened by killing Edward first. . .

A/N Please let me know what you think. What do you think Edward is going to do? Will he learn his lesson? Again, I'm sorry that it took me so long, but at least I was able to do this one story.
