Girl Falls Into One Piece
We were all getting ready to leave for Nanohana, for food and, ah-supplies, yeah that too! Man, I'm losing it, I'm so hungry. Luffy felt the same, but I didn't have to say that. He was literally vibrating with hunger and I knew when he got like that, it was best and safest not to mess or bother with him. (I, Sabo and Ace both learned that the hard way). Vivi was looked out at the sea, a worried (duh) and fond look on her face. I knew she is thinking about home. I get that look whenever I think about Dawn Island, Mount Corvo or even sometimes my old home.
Nami walked over to Vivi and they started talking and I went back in my room and made sure I had everything. I had my sword and I grabbed my hat from my dresser and plopped it on my head, the string scratching my neck a little. The weight was a nice thing to have on my head. I walked back out to see Luffy eating his sandal and Chopper moaning about how hot it was. I raised an eyebrow at them and said to Chopper with a grin. "You might want to get away from Luffy when he's like this, remember back at the castle when Luffy woke up?"
He stared at Luffy in horror and panted as he tried to get away by moving as little as possible. Luffy was panting still as he stuck an over stretched tongue at me, which was funny because the sandal was still there. I tilted the brim of my hat over my eyes to shade them from the sun. I sighed and looked to see the island get closer. As we got closer, Usopp, Zoro and Sanji joined us on deck. Usopp said. "So this is really an Alabasta city?"
I shrugged. "I guess, first one I seen though." Usopp gave me a look at my dry comment.
As usual, sarcasm went over Luffy head. "Food, food!"
I gave him a glare when my stomach growled at the reminder. "Don't remind me, Luffy!"
He shrugged at me and Nami came over to us. "Now, listen carefully, I want you all to do your best to control yourselves while we're here."
Considering Luffy is the only one with a bounty (Grr), we should be fine. Sanji went all love-dovey with Nami again. I flickered my eyes to Luffy stretching to the ground and running off. I smirked, he can handle himself. Plus he's starving and you don't want to chase after a hungry Luffy ever, trust me!
Zoro said to Nami. "You do realize the one that needs to hear that the most just left ship, right?"
I snorted and let out a laugh. Nami gave me a death glare. She then screamed at him to get back.
Usopp said. "He doesn't know the meaning of self-control."
My stomach rumbled and I grimaced. I placed a foot on the railing and was about to jump, when someone yanked on my collar, jerking me back me back and making me stumble. I glared at the stupid orange headed girl to see her giving me a glare back. Nami snapped. "Where the hell do you think you're going?"
I raised an annoyed eyebrow. "To eat." I pointed to my rumbling stomach, which let out another loud growl, making me cringe. She shook me slightly. "It's bad enough Luffy's gone, you're not leaving too!"
I sighed and shook myself free of her. Sanji climbed down and I ignored them and jumped down, ignoring Nami enraged yells to see Zoro jumped down next to me. While they had a stupid argument about how to get Vivi into town, I walked away from them and whistled to myself slightly as I walked along the sand, licking my dry lips. They didn't notice me gone so I got into Nanohana without being called, punched or screamed at. I adjusted the hat over my eyes again and pulled at the collar of my shirt, damn it's hot!
I walked by to see a cart and a couple of men grabbing stuff. I poked one of the men on the shoulder and he turned around with a grunt. "Yeah?"
I furrowed my eyebrows. "What's going on?"
He scowled a bit and looked me up and down. I shifted, it was not perverted in any way, but he had a calculated gleam in his eyes that made me squirm a bit, something I didn't like to admit, not even mentally. He gave a nod and another grunt. "Rebel Army supplies."
I felt my eyes widen a little and then I nodded. "Ok."
He narrowed his eyes at me. "You're not from around here, are you, girly?"
I twitched at the name, but I shook my head. "Nah, traveler." Eh, it's not a real lie, but it's not a full truth either, got to love half-truths, I use them all the time.
He nodded and said. "Fine, best keep to yourself."
I flashed him a smile and said. "That sounds like a good plan."
With another grunt and nod, he heaved a heavy looking box and walked over to another guy by the cart. I walked away and knew Vivi wanted to stop the rebels and unite the royal family or something like that. I felt bad for her because that was something that had the slimiest chance for working in any way. I lived on both sides, a better off life (money wise) in my old time in the future and no money (better family) with my brothers and the mountain bandits. Both statuses hated the other one. Either with contempt or loathing and a bit of envy for having the easy road, though I rather be broke and have family then be rich and not have a good one. I guess we will have to deal with that when it comes.
My thoughts were broken by my hunger. Damn, I almost forgot about that too. I rubbed my stomach and sighed I haven't been this hungry in a while. I walked around and then almost bumped into someone. The person stumbled while I was barely fazed. I didn't work out for nothing. I bent down and helped the lady up. She was in a long skirt and shirt with a hood over her head. "Uh, sorry! My bad."
I helped her up and she nodded, smiling a little. I asked. "Hey, do you know where the nearest restaurant is?"
She smiled again and said. "Go straight for 5 minutes and then mate a right at the newspaper stand."
I grinned and patted the lady on the shoulder. "Huh, thanks!" I lifted my hat off a little and gave a nod and then put it back on my head, strolling down the road until my stomach growled and I started jogging instead, looking for that news stand I weaved and twisted away from the people in my path. Finally I made it to the news stand and stopped short, looking at the newspaper's on the small table. I picked one up and unfolded it. It mostly talked about the rebels, no water (major drought), some Oasis name Yuba running out of water too and Crocodile being great and saving towns. I grit my teeth at that as there was a full page on it, if only these people knew. But then again, If they did know, they would be in more of a state of panic. But I also believed in telling something straight and ignorance sucks, no sugar coating.
I heard a rusty voice snap. "Are you going to buy that or not?"
I felt myself jump and glared at who made me do that. The person flinched while looking me in the eye. I folded the newspaper and set it down, scratching the back of my neck. "Uh, no sorry, thanks." I didn't know what for but it sounded smart and right to say. He glared at me and I sighed, annoyed and gave him a glare back after I rolled my eyes. This was getting annoying way too fast, I get their scared and all that, but my patience sucks badly.
He shrunk back a little with a tense mouth and shuffled the newspapers on his table. With a sigh, I turned right like that lady said to. I saw it the place, it was decent sized and had rodeo doors instead of normal ones. Shrugging and knowing I had my wallet in my pocket, I pushed the doors open. There were some people in and I sat near the door, ready to leave if I heard Luffy or the rest of the crew. Soon enough someone came over to me with a menu and I nodded to him, asking for grog and water to start me off.
He nodded and walked off and I looked at the menu. It had seafood, burgers and some other things I didn't know about. Onigiri was on it too, I only started eating it after Makino made it one time. The guy came back with the drinks and set them down. I said to him. "I'll have 3 medium well burgers, 6 of those rice Onigiri, 3 plates of rice and meat along with some of that fish in a roll thing. He raped at me in shock and looked around at the door and back at me. I hid a grin, I love that reaction. "Uh, do you have someone with you?"
I shook my head. "Naw, that's all for me."
His body sort of twitched violently before he gave me a jerky nod and walked in what I thought was the direction of the kitchen. I leaned back and sipped some of the water, wanting to hydrate myself from being in the hot (unbearable) sun. Some people seemed to be enjoying themselves and they were all crowded around the bar for some reason. I didn't have much thought on that because to waiters brought all my foot. Snatching up the plate of rice and meat, I easilt shoveled it into my mouth, groaning at the taste of food.
It was not very ladylike, but who said I was anything like a proper lady. Anyway, that was what those disgusting spoiled nobles were for. I shook my head, thinking about them when I'm eating while make it taste sour. I was between trying the fish rolls, meat and rice along with the burgers. I had 2 more runs with drinks and I finally finished.
I heard people muttering. "He just dropped dead like that?"
"Yes, I heard that desert strawberry was bad." Or something like that, it was a bit hard to tell exactly what they were saying. Damn someone died, that to put it mildly sucks. I feel bad and all, but what can I do. I fished in my wallet for money and heard a scream.
"YOU FELL ASLEEP?!" I snorted loudly, that reminded me of when Ace got narcolepsy around 14 and he would fall asleep a lot. Hunting, talking and training, you name it. My eyes widened as I looked at the empty wallet. No way, I spent it all! But I did somehow and didn't get more money. I cringed and decided I had to go back in the past and do something I used to do years ago. I stood up and brushed off my pants, groaning internally at the content and full feeling I had. I smiled brightly at the restaurant people and clicked my heel a bit closer and bowed 90 degrees.
I said sincerely or tried to. "Thank you for the food."
…I then ran out of there as fast as I could, ignoring the screaming. "GET BACK HERE YOU THEIF! DAMN EAT AND RUN!"
I ran faster, the sun flying behind me and my eyes widened in shock when I saw Zoro. He yelled out. "Woah! Mace sto…"
I plowed into him and groaned as my shoulder slammed into his stomach, sending us both crashing through the sand hard. I groaned and flopped on my back. They all stared at me in shock and yelled. "MACE?!"
People started to stare, but a glare from Zoro and Nami made them look away and hurry along. Nami threw her hands on her hips and leaned closer. "Where the hell have you been?"
I grinned slightly and then grimaced at the reaction from her I knew I was going to get. I explained what happened from where I left them to getting back here and running into Zoro. I looked up. "So, what have-"
Pain crashed into my head, something I was familiar with and I glared at Nami. "What the hell was that for?"
Before she could answer, Luffy came running…Marines chasing him. I laughed as he waved and they started coming after us. For some reason, Luffy had an overly joyful look on his face, well, more than usual. I gaped at the shirtless man stepping in front of us. In front of the man I recognized as Smoker from Lougetown. I grinned widely and the crew was being me. It was Ace! He was here and apparently he could let himself on fire! Awesome! I'm so lucky no one could hear my thoughts. I waved. "Hey! Ace!"
He turned around with a surprised look and then grinned, waving a hand that was on fire. "Hey, Mace! Nice seeing you here! Figured you and Luffy would be in the middle of the trouble."
I nodded my head, still grinning widely, my teeth showing. Luffy laughed. Usopp asked. "Who's that?"
I laughed with Luffy and we said. "Our brother!"
Zoro blinked. "You have another one?"
I nodded. "Yeah." The rest of the crew stared in shock and Ace said. "You both go along with your crew, I have this handled!"
Luffy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, okay." He waved him off.
"Yeah, thanks." We knew Ace could handle it, he was our older brother after all.
The Marines were catching up and Luffy said. "Come on!"
We then ran off, the Marines running behind us. Nami said. "Is it true, is that really your brother?"
Luffy nodded as we ran. "Yeah, that's our brother Ace."
We stopped after a bit and Zoro said. "I'm not surprised you both have a brother, but what is he doing on the Grand Line?"
Lufy just smiled. "Ace is a pirate too."
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he wants to be Pirate King too."
Luffy grinned. "He left 3 years before we did."
They looked at us shocked and I could wait until they met him for real. That was one thing I sort of wanted, for the crew to meet our brother. I looked up at the smoke and fire mixing in in amazement. That looks really cool, I want to fight Ace again, see how strong he was back then.
Nami said. "Well, he bought us some time, so we can't waste it. Let's get back to the ship."
Luffy was running backwards, watching the fight. I watched fondly, I really wish I could see this up close. I walked the same as Luffy as black smoke rose in the air. I was so interested in the fight that I followed Luffy's footsteps as he still watched the fight. I grinned, doing the same.
Luffy called. "Woah!"
I chuckled. "Yeah, it's really cool, isn't it?"
Luffy nodded eagerly. "Yeah, I wonder how strong he is now with his fire?"
I shrugged. 'I want to fight him though, we all got stronger in the 3 years."
Luffy's eyes were gleaming, he was that excited. I have to admit, I was shaking a bit myself. I stumbled and looked around in shock. I grabbed Luffy by the shirt collar ( the rest of him would stretch) and said. "Uh, Luffy?"
He blinked at me and tilted his head. "Yeah?"
I frowned and look around the place a bit more. "Where's the crew?"
His mouth dropped open a little in shock and he looked around, letting his neck stretch around to look. "That's weird, I could of sworn they were right here."
He put his barrel down and sat on it. I huffed and sat on the step of a store and groaned. "Nami's going to kill us."
Luffy shrugged and frowned. "Where'd they go, Mace?"
I shrugged. "I don't know, I bet they went the wrong way." He nodded in agreement. I shifted the brim of my hat up a little.
I heard. "I guess giving you time to escape was pointless." I grinned at Ace towering over us as I craned my neck to look at him.
Luffy called. "Hey! Hiya Ace!"
I waved. "Hey!"
He jumped down and said. "It's been awhile! Hasn't it?"
Luffy smiled. "You can say that."
Ace laughed and I snorted. "Yeah, 3 years."
Ace grinned, laughing at me and Luffy joined him. I raised my eyebrows. "Still going shirtless I see."
He smirked, flexing his muscles. "Yeah, well I have a lot to show for it."
Luffy stuck his tongue out and I smirked at my older brother. "Yeah, I bet you just want to show off and walk without a shirt."
His eyes narrowed and he slapped me in the back of the head jokingly so it didn't hurt. Ace defiantly mellowed out a lot. Luffy hopped off the barrel and they had a silent agreement to arm wrestle. They clasped hands on the barrels and started. I was curious to see who was stronger. It winded up being a tie when they broke the barrel. They laughed it off.
Ace smiled at me as he reached into the bag and grabbed a canteen. "I and you will have to have a match later."
I smirked. "Not much of a challenge then."
He shook his head and Luffy asked. "So, what are you doing in Alabasta, anyway?" That is a good question; I was worrying about that myself.
Ace said. "I see neither of you received the message I left for you at Drum Island?" Drum Island? Huh, we were just there.
Luffy looked at him blankly. "Message?"
I must of hade the same blank look because Ace laughed. "Well, then no. But don't worry; it's not that big of a deal, just to let the both of you know I would be in Alabasta in a few days."
Ace took a drink. "Anyway, I'm here on business."
Luffy asked. "Business?" I just raised an eyebrow at him.
Ace nodded. "Yeah, I'm with the Whitebeard Pirates now." He tossed me the water knowing Luffy would drink it all if he got to it first. I took a small drink (okay from the big lunch I just had) and tossed it to Luffy.
Luffy asked. "Whitebeard Pirates?" Okay, why is he repeating everything.
I asked. "You joined someone now?"
Everyone knows who the Whitebeard Pirates are, I used to read the newspaper about Ace, and the Whitebeard Pirates would pop in now and then. He nodded and spun around pointing to his back. I noticed it was big purple skull and crossbones with a white mustache. "This hear is my pride and joy. He's a remarkable pirate. So Luffy, why don't you come join us. Come one, it'll be fun." He also sent me a look as Luffy was drinking the water or gulping it.
I snorted at the idea; he knew we would never want that. How the only person I could listen to would be my brother and Luffy could never follow someone. And Luffy couldn't be Pirate King if he followed someone else. "No thanks."
I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, not a chance."
Ace grinned and laughed. "I had a feeling you'd say that. That's too bad considering Whitebeard is one of the greatest pirates I ever met. That's why I helping him become King of the Pirates, not you Luffy."
Luffy replied. "I guess we'll just have to fight then."
I smirked. "Plus what's the fun wht I'd love to write about."
He asked. "Your still doing that?"
I nodded, feeling a softer look hit my face. "Yeah." It was quiet for a moment.
Then Luffy started gulping the water down and Ace snapped. "Yes, don't drink all the water, you mooch! Hey!"
I laughed loudly at that. We started walking away from where we were. He threw arms around both our shoulders. "So, what's my little brothers been up to." I sighed and slightly a little. He was throwing most of his weight on us as Luffy just smiled and talked about some of his adventures and that he met some guy earlier and ate some nasty tasting powder. I snorted, it sounds like him. Ace then nudged me. "How about you, huh Mace?"
I chuckled and explained what happened in the restaurant and saying 'thank you' for my food. Ace laughed loudly at that, leaning on us. "Wow, I can't believe you remembered that! So that was what the chef was yelling about…"
I ignored the last bit as Luffy laughed and drooled. "That sounds good!"
I leaned down to look at him. "Oh, it was."
He pouted and whined. "Maceeee."
I just grinned and he used his powers to push me. Ace grabbed my arm to stop me from falling. He frowned and stared at the arm in his grasp. "Mace? Why is your arm so strong? Even after 3 years, it should not be build up this much?"
I frowned, knowing where he was getting at. "I worked with weights, I told you this."
Ace scowled and gripped my arm a little tighter. I flexed in reflex and his eyes widened a little. "Luffy, how much and how long did Mason lift while I was gone?"
I grimaced; he called me by my real name and used his 'big brother voice'. Luffy frowned at us. "I don't know, a lot? Till she passed out."
Ace scowled down at me and his eyes were narrowed, the playful light in them gone. He growled. "Mason."
I rolled my eyes. "Yes, Ace. Listen I had to do that get stronger. Nakama's lives were put in our hands. You were captain, you know this."
He sighed and let go of my arm. "Mace…you can't…kill yourself like that, okay?"
I nodded. "Hey, it was a lot easier now then before."
He sighed and moved the hat so it hung by the string and ruffled my hair. "Nice hat."
I smirked slightly. "You too."
He chuckled and Luffy asked. "You guys done fighting?"
I shrugged. "Yeah, whatever."
Ace just smiled. "Eh, not an issue." He was back in his good mood. That was good, I didn't want to deal with a grumpy Ace, even if I'm happy that we have not seen his in 3 years. He took his arms off of us and he talked to Luffy about adventures and I listened in as Luffy talked about his fights and stuff that happened on the boat, me chiming in every once in a while. Ace then talked about life on Whitebeard's ship. It amusing, some of the things he said.
It was weird that nothing happened to us yet. Usually if it was just 2 of us together something would happen, the three of us together is just a disaster waiting to happen. I just hope Ace does not push the whole over training issue. He gotten very over protective of both me and Luffy as the years went by. I train a lot, even without weights, it drove him crazy as he's seen me train until I lost conscious. Waking up to his pissed off glare/worried look was not fun at all in any way.
Anway, we left the allyway and moved more out into the open on the street. It was not like we had anything to worry about. Ace then laughed and shook his head, breaking me out of my daydreaming.
"Okay, enough chit chat. We need to find your nakama before the marines do. Do you have any idea where they have gone? Mace, stop daydreaming."
I scowled, sending him a glare. So, he did notice, damn him.
Luffy shrugged. "I don't know, they might have gone back to the ship."
I scratched my cheek in thought. "Uh, I don't know either. I figured Nami or Usopp would find us something."
He rolled his eyes at me and I scrunched up my nose at him as he said to Luffy. "Well, that's a start I guess, where's it docked at?"
Luffy replied. "I'm not sure, that's funny."
His eyes flickered to mine and I frowned, what a stupid question. "At the docks, obviously."
He just stared at me blankly and then turned to stare Luffy in the face. "Ah, geez! You know, Luffy, pirate ship captains usually remember where they leave their ships!"
I snickered at the exasperated tone in Ace's voice, seriously what did he expect? Luffy said. "Yeah, but I was hungry so I forgot. But…Mace was too!"
Ace raised an eyebrow at me with a smirk and I glared at him with a huff. "That's not fair, I didn't go to get food, I got some in the middle of the day."
Ace snorted. "You both haven't changed a bit. So who's on your crew and what are they like?"
Luffy was excited to talk at this point. "Well, first there is a tough guy who carries around three swords who wants to be the Greatest Swordsman in the World, then theirs a navigator who likes maps, tangerines and money, their a cook who makes really yummy food and a liar too! Oh we also have a new doctor who happens to be a reindeer!"
Ace grinned. "Really, you don't say? Sounds like you have a motley crew there."
I nodded in agreement and Luffy said. "We also have a princess and her giant duck. Everyone in my crew is so interesting."
I decided to elaborate on what Luffy said. "Well, the guy with three swords is Zoro, navigator is Nami who's very greedy, but she's nice in the end I guess, really good navigator, you know how boats confuse me, and then the cook is Sanji, Usopp is the marksman though he lies or tells a lot of stories and the doctor is Chopper whois as Luffy said, is a reindeer."
His grin widened as he listen to me explain. Luffy said. "The princess is Vivi and her duck Carou."
I nodded. "Oh, yeah."
Ace said. "I figured that's something you'd Luffy. Having a handful of people for a pirate crew! Of course you go along with what Luffy says, right?"
I nodded in agreement immediately. "Of course I do, I may be the older brother, but Luffy is the captain."
Luffy just grinned happily. "Yeah, I'm still looking for a musician though."
I snorted in amusement; Luffy's been looking for a musician for the longest time or as long as I could remember. To him, every pirate needs to sing. I agree with him a bit on that. Suddenly I heard footsteps and someone call out.
"Stop right there, Fire Fist."
I looked up to see a bunch of guys surrounding us with pistols. I knew I spoke to soon earlier. Another guy spoke as more closed in. "You got nowhere to run, Ace. Your head is mine; it's a ticket to a promotion. So die Ace."
I raised an eyebrow and shifted my hand to the hilt of my sword. I flickered my eyes up and saw them with guns on top of the buildings to. This would be a piece of cake by myself, I handled 50 of these guys by myself, plus I have Ace and Luffy, it's almost insulting.
The guy that looked like the leader said. "It's our lucky day boys, this will be easier than shooting fish in a barrel."
I looked at the guys with swords. I figured I'd deal with those, I really didn't want to have to do deal with bullets. I pointed out Luffy as 'Strawhat Luffy' and some 'girl with a sword'. I felt my eyebrow twitch, I wanted to be 'wanted' by the government. They just kept on talking and I looked to see what Luffy and Ace would do. Ace moved his head slightly and I smirked slightly, moving my hands from the hilt and shoving them in my pockets and walking with them in the other direction.
Ace said that they might b by the shore. They were yelling at us and I heard their scream to get us. I ducked my head down and put my hand back on the hilt, grinning. They attacked and I pulled out my sword, going through 2 with swords and the one with a gun. I heard. "Pile on them!"
Before I could move, bodies were covering me. I grunted and braced myself by my knees and my shook my arms a bit, slashing the bodies in front of me and using my strength to fling the other off me. I flickered a bit of blood off my sword. I rightened my hat with a flick of my other hand.
I heard yells like, "Why are his arms stretching like that?!", and, "What kind of strength does she have?!"
It's satisfying hearing that every time. Having a bounty doesn't make you so great. I looked to see Luffy get chased by the leader with a large broadsword and I almost stepped in, but Ace was going that way. I ducked at the overswing to my head and popped back up and clashed with the guy who attacked me. He sneered. "Little girl, I'll teach you a lesson."
I laughed. "This little girl is going to kick your ass!" I moved back a bit with my sword and easily parried the other hand swing, going doward and slashing his chest quickily into an 'X', making him squirt out blood, clashing to the ground.
I heard Luffy scream "Gum-Gum Bazooka!" I looked to see the leader fly off somewhere. I stepped around and looked to see a couple pistol wielding people left. I dodged quickly and slashed through them before they could think about shooting. This fight was going to end soon. I was. I followed Luffy and Ace as they walked off.
I whistled. "That was sort of fun."
Ace shrugged. "Easy enough. It's weird seeing you fight like that."
I raised an eyebrow. "Blood gushing and all."
Luffy grinned. "Mace fights cool, sorta like Zoro."
Ace said. I seen you fight with a wooden sword and a sharp pipe, not real steel."
I smirked. "I could do more than that."
Luffy nodded in agreement. "Yeah and I got a whole bunch of moves now, too."
Ace smiled. "Yeah, I saw that." We made a turn as we talked and walked down some stone steps as we got to the harbor.
Ace asked. "You see your ship?"
I and Luffy looked for the ship. Luffy then spotted it and said. "Ooh, there it is!"
It was far away so I could only seeing the outline of the ship, but I noticed the sheep head. I felt myself get annoyed at the bounty hunters from before wanting to fight us. Luffy then left and I spun around and slapped a hand to my forehead. "And he's gone…"
Ace snorted. "What did you expect?"
I walked over to him and said. What do you say, for old times' sake?"
Ace smiled. "Eh? It could be fun."
I jumped as his hand lit on fire and I grumbled, "You did that on purpose."
Ace just snickered and attacked the group of bounty hunters.
I yelped and ran ahead. "Leaving some for me, you bastard!"
I left tehe guns to and took on a bunch of the sword guys at once three attacked me and I slashed at their sword, knocking them off balance and the then slashing them, controlling my arm into a practiced swing, pivoting and finishing the next batch of swordsman. I saw fire balls and just flame from the corner of my eye. A couple of minutes later we finished and I put my sword away back to my side.
Ace patted me on the shoulder. "Come on, I take you to your ship with mine."
I followed him in the direction he was walking and asked. "You have a ship?''
He shrugged. "More like a boat."
I was quiet as I saw a small boat with a point, bobbing in the water, tied down. Ace said. "So Mace.."
I raised my eyebrows at his hesitant tone. "Yes, Ace?"
"You have a lot of…guys on your ship, so-."
I interrupted him quickly. "No."
He frowned at me as we got closer to his boat. "Wait, Mace-."
I shook my head with a scowl. "Don't even go there."
He said. "I'm trying-."
"Don't. Even. Go. There. I don't see them like that and they don't see me like that. I train with Zoro and I protect Usopp most of the time and Chopper is a REINDEER!"
Ace scowled at my reasoning as we sat down on his boat and he started it with his devil fruit powers or so he told me. It was fast, so we caught up easily. I heard Luffy voice. "I could probably kick Ace's butt now."
Ace smirked in my direction and jumped up, hopping on the railing and kicking Luffy off. Rolling my eyes at his dramatics, I bent my legs and hopped up next to him, my feet perched on the railing. I hopped down and moved off to where the crew was as they shouted my name. I waved at them with a grin and Nami gave me a furious look, but didn't say anything.
Luffy called from the ground. "Ace, this is the crew we told you about."
Ace waved slightly. "Nice to meet you and thanks for taking care of my kid brothers! I know they can be a handful." He bowed too.
I felt my eyes widen and my jaw drop a bit. Where did he get so polite and nice?! I never thought he would change like that, I thought he would stay rude and blunt.
The crew bowed back, saying it wasn't a problem. I pouted, we're not that bad!
Ace grinned. "Come on, be honest! This is Luffy and Mace we're talking about! Aren't they a bit much to handle at times."
I gave him a glare; he can sound polite and be an ass, that's just great! I'm just called rude for it, he's the reason I'm so blunt in the first place. They shook it off.
Sanji said. "Well, sit down and relax. I'm sure you both have lots of catching up to do. I'll make some tea."
Apparently, Ace didn't want to impose. Npw, he's just trying way to hard.
I gave him my best deadpanned look. "Oh no, never you." He just gave me a grin in response.
Sanji said. "He's not what I expected."
Zoro replied. "I'll say."
Usopp was shocked. "He's polite helpful and gracious. Total opposite of Luffy."
Nami looked to be feeling the same. "He's not as blunt as Mace either!" They were still talking.
I rolled my eyes, we are not that bad! "We are still here, you know."
Half of them still had it in them look a bit embarrassed, well, except for Nami and Zoro. Luffy just laughed and said they were interesting. I looked to see a couple of ships coming over, groaning a bit when I saw the Baroque Works on their sails. They are persistent little bastards, aren't they? I shook them off, already seen him fight with his new powers and I knew he would be fine.
I shook them off and said. "I'm off to clean the blood off my sword."
Nami snapped in shock. "Why is there blood on your sword!?"
I shrugged, already going to my room. "I got in a fight."
I walked in my room and grabbed a cloth which I lightly dipped in water. I then pulled out my sword and sat criss crossed, laying the blade over my knees and cleaning the flat of the blade in a sort of rhythm until the blade was shining, noise of battle catching my ears.
I folded the cloth a couple of times to give it layers and softly cleaned the edge of blood. I tossed the bloody rag on a bowl. I sheathed my sword and opened the door to hear cheering along with Luffy and Usopp's voice.
I heard Ace say. "Hey! Who said I was joining your crew?"
I snorted as I saw Luffy, Usopp and Chopper cheering. I grabbed a mug near the kitchen and took a sip, sitting near Ace and Nami on the floor.
Nami smiled. "Relax, you can't take anything they say seriously when they're like this, they get all goofy when they drink."
Luffy asked if Ace wanted to join them and Ace said. "I can't right now, I'm chasing someone. His name is Blackbeard."
I frowned up at him, he didn't mention that.
Vivi said. "I've heard of him, he's the one who attacked Drum Kingdom."
Ace shifted a bit and then he said. "You see, Blackbeard used to be a member of the Second division in the Whitebeard Pirates. He was one of my own men, but committed the most unforgivable sin a pirate could, he killed one of his fellow crewmembers and then jumped ship. As commander of the ship, it's my responsibility to take care of him."
I felt my face twist in disgust; he is right at that being the worst crime to commit as a pirate. I hissed. "That bastard…"Ace nodded in agreement. I'm happy, we'll never have to deal with that kind of problem on this ship, and our crewmembers are more handpicked than that.
Ace said. "I came here because I heard Blackbeard was seen in Alabasta in a place called Yuba, so that's where I'm headed."
Nami then pulled out a map and Vivi pointed out a route even I could understand easily. After cheering Ace on, I drained my drink and looked for another one. Ace smirked. "When have you been such an alcoholic?"
I rolled my eyes. "I'm not, I just like the drink."
Luffy laughed. 'You should of seen her drunk, she like to dance."
Ace choked on what he was drinking. "W-what."
I rolled my eyes again at the amusement in his face and eyes. Usopp grinned. "I have to explain this!"
I growled. "I don't think so, you'll just lie."
He gave me an annoyed look, but I glared and started chasing him, as he let out a scream and ran off. I chased him around the ship and cursed a bit, I forgot how fast he was. I then heard Ace's loud laugh and looked to see Nami smiling and talking to Ace. I glared at him and huffed as they walked toward the kitchen. As annoying as it is, I'm glad to see Ace again after 3 years and I know Luffy is too. Sanji also went in, to no doubt get started on food. Sighing to myself from the teasing I knew I was going to get, I walked in the kitchen because I was sort of hungry again.

Wow! I didn't think it was going to be that long, I was actually planning to make it a short 4,000 words, but I got carried away. My writing schedule will hectic as the end of the school year till exams and major test are coming close (mid-April). Maybe I'll post once a week or a week and a half. It might not be for this story either and another one of mine.
Well, this was the moment, I was excited about for a while, Ace meets the crew! I hope I did it justice, so we're excited for it. Hope you like it!
