Girl Falls Into One Piece
Mace's Birthday
Mace: 13 Years Old. Luffy: 12 Years Old. Ace: 16 Years Old.
"Mace!"
"What?" I looked toward my little brother, Luffy.
He threw his arms around my shoulders, hugging me. I laughed at him, letting my right back so I didn't fall on my back. His hat was pushed back toward the back of his head. I ruffled his hair. "Happy birthday! Shishishi!"
My eyes widened in surprise. "...Oh, that's today."
"Of course it is. Did you forget again?" I looked at Ace, who just walked in.
I shrugged as Luffy let go, slightly bouncing on his feet. "I usually do, I don't see the big deal."
He shook his head, smirking. "Idiot."
I huffed, glaring. "Hey, shut up. Luffy forgets too."
Ace raised an eyebrow. "Luffy forgets a lot of stuff."
Luffy pouted. "Hey!"
I shook my head at Ace, walking out of our room. "Jeez, your mean to everyone today."
He rolled his eyes. "Shut up."
I walked over sleeping and drunk bandits. I didn't see Dadan around anywhere. Luffy and Ace followed me. Luffy asked me. "What do you want to do?"
I shrugged, not really caring that it was my birthday. There was also that small bit of guilt I felt because of my family and what they must be doing on this day. Ususally I don't let thoughts like this bother me, but sometimes on days like this, it came across my mind. "It doesn't matter."
Ace smacked the back of my head and I glared at him in annoyance. Luffy jumped on my back and said. "Yeah, it does. C'mon, you like tiger meat, let's get some."
I felt myself brighten at the thought of tiger meat. It was my favorite. I liked it more than crocodile meat. "Sure thing, let's go."
Ace laughed, but I ignored him. I ran forward, hearing Luffy laugh in my ear. We ran out the front door and almost bumped into Dadan, who was caring some wood over her shoulder. I turned away so I didn't bump into her.
Luffy jumped down with another laugh and grabbed his pipe. Ace grabbed his and I took mine. There's was rounded while the end of mine was sharpened at the end. Since I couldn't afford a real sword, I used this to train, I would get a sword when me and Luffy went out to sea.
To make this pipe/sword, I had to cut off the end and then spend a while shaving or shapening the end of it. I had to be careful when I spared with Luffy and Ace, not to stick them with it. Accidents I don't want to get into that.
Luffy shouted. "Come on, Mace!"
I clenched my hand around the pipe tightly and ran after them.
We looked for a while, but we couldn't find a tiger. I was getting annoyed because I was promised tiger meat. Luffy wasn't helping that much, he gets pretty loud. It's not his fault, but still...
Ace sighed in annoyence. "Dammit, the stupid tigers are nowhere."
I snorted and leaned against a tree. "It's fine, just forget it and the tigers aren't going to come out so you can kill them."
Ace shook his head at me. "Whatever, c'mon, let's go back."
Feeling disappointed, I walked back toward the house, but Luffy said. "No."
I turned toward him. "Huh?"
Ace asked him. "What?"
"We're gonna find the tiger meat."
Ace rolled his eyes. "C'mon Luffy, we'll find something else to eat."
Luffy shook his head, a stubborn look on his face. "No, we need to find the tiger meat because Mace wants it and it's her birthday!"
My eyes widened in shock and I sagged closer to the tree. "Luffy..."
Ace grinned at that. "Your right, Luf. Let's go find it."
I shook my head. "Ace, you don't have to-hey!"
Ace passed me, grabbing the back of my collar and pulled me deeper in the forest. "We're going."
I pulled back and he let go, not wanting to choke me. "Alright...thanks."
I saw him redden and I smiled in amusement. He grumbled under his breath, pushing me forward roughly. I patted Luffy on the head, where his hat rested and he grinned widely at me.
We did eventually find and kill the tiger, carrying it back to the hut. We had some of the bandits and Dadan cook and skin it.
As all three of us ate, I noticed that I got more they did and I almost melted in my seat. It was so good. "Thank you, seriously. You guys are the best brothers ever."
Ace ruffled my hair. "No problem. What do you want to do after this?"
I grinned, shrugging. Luffy moved closer. "Yeah Mace, whatever you want."
I just grinned wider.
Mace: 18 Years Old. Luffy: 17 Years Old.
I yawned and rolled out of bed. I walked onto deck and saw Luffy grinning at me. I smiled back and asked. "What's up?"
"Happy Birthday!"
My eyes widened slightly in surprise. "Oh, right. Thanks."
Luffy puffed his cheeks out. "Mace, did you forget again?"
I felt myself blush in embarrassment. "Ah, whatever."
He laughed and Usopp suddenly showed up. "How do you forget your birthday?"
I scratched the back of my neck, adjusting my hat on my head. "Yeah, so?"
He shook his head at me and I ignored it.
During the day Nami, Sanji, Usopp and Zoro wished me happy birthday in their own way.
We were still in the East Blue, justing having come from Loguetown.
Sanji did it with his love-dovey thing with food and wine. I didn't mind that much, I was slowly getting used to it. He didn't mean anything bad by it, even if I felt it was a bit demeaning. Sanji was Nakama so it didn't matter.
Nami for one was nicer and she even gave me one of her tangerine/oranges. Which made Luffy whine, which made it amusing. She was more distracted though because we were close to getting to the grade line.
Zoro was more action than words, so I trained with him for a while. We trained longer than we usually would and I enjoyed it. We didn't push for a winner, just trained.
Usopp and Luffy played around the ship with me. We couldn't go to a island because we were in the middle of the ocean. But we didn't need it. We had enough fun on the boat.
It was like a regular day, but more I guess.
Sanji made a really good feast and at the end of that we partied, most of us getting drunk.
There it is. Today is the day I picked as Mace's birthday.
Thank you for the reviews and likes.
Toothless122: Thank you for the review and glad you like my story. As for Ace, I don't know yet. We have a long way to go for that. I'll try to update more.
I have about less than a month of school left.
