Kate walked outside to see Humphrey swimming. She take off her clothes and jump in to join him.

Kate swim behind him and tap on his shoulder. Humphrey turn around and got immediately kissed by Kate. He can feel her body pressed against him, so he kissed her back, passionately.

"Ugh, I wish my companion lover is here, these two are making me jealous" groan Flare.

Humphrey broke the kiss and look at him and chuckled. "Oh look, she's right behind you" said Humphrey jokingly.

Flare turn around with a smile on his face but he saw nothing. "Damn it Humphrey" pouted Flare. Humphrey laughed until he was interrupted by Kate.

"Humphrey" Kate whined with a puppy face. She pucker her lips, telling him to kiss her. Humphrey smiled and kiss her. Just then, Faith came out, followed by Lily, Garth and Heather.

Faith tackle Flare and they both landed on the chair, making out. They heard the doorbell rang. "I'LL GET IT" Felix shouted as he rush towards the door. Humphrey and Kate got out of the pool and rush upstairs to change or dry their fur.

Flare, Faith, Lily, and Garth poke their heads and saw Humphrey's friends and Kate's friends, well only Lilac, Tammy, Anne, and Lunar.

They saw them and start walking outside.

"Hey guys, where's Humphrey" asked Mooch. "Yeah and where's Kate" asked Lilac. "Oh there up-" Humphrey cut Flare off. "I'm right here with Kate" said Humphrey as Kate stand right next to him.

"Hey guys" said Humphrey giving them a high five and a bro fist. "Hi girls" said Kate hugging them.

"How'd you guys know where I live" asked Humphrey. "Oh, we got it from Kate's friends" answered Salty.

"Oh okay" replied Humphrey. "What are you guys doing here" asked Humphrey.

"We'll, just want to know about you" said Shakey. "Okay" said Humphrey nervously. "What about it". "You know, friends have to know each other right" said Shakey.

Humphrey nodded. "Okay, do you have any questions about me" asked Humphrey chuckling nervously. "Yeah" they all said.

"Your past" they all answered.

When they said that, Humphrey widen his eyes. Flare almost drop his jaws. He knows the look on his face when someone asked about his past.

Kate notice this too. "Um guys, his past are kind of...painful for him to tell" said Kate while rubbing his arm. "No Kate it's okay, they should know and Heather should know since I didn't tell what happen to our parents" said Humphrey sadly.

He blinked his eyes a few times to get rid of the tears in his eyes. "Wha-What happen" said Heather that was about to cry.

Humphrey sigh. "The reason why I don't want to tell you it's because you might act like me when I was little" confessed Humphrey.

"Sorry to ask" said Shakey. "No it's fine" said Humphrey as he was taking a deep breath. "Okay here it goes" said Humphrey as he was explaining the story.

(Flashback)

Humphrey was playing with his best friend, Flare.

"Tag your it" exclaimed Humphrey as he was running away from him. "Hey no fair" said Flare as he chase after him.

Just then, Flare's mom burst out the door with a baby on her arms also known as Heather. "Flare, Humphrey, come on, let's go to the car" said Flare's mom as she was crying for no reason.

"What's going on mom, why are you crying" asked Flare. "Just nothing dear, just get in the car" she said.

Humphrey and Flare wasted no time but got in the car. As she was driving, Humphrey notice there was smoke in the air. Flare notice that his mother was crying even harder.

Once they arrived, Flare saw his father talking to the police. "Dad" asked Flare as he got out of the car.

"Hey Flare" he said. Flare notice tears in his eyes, just like his mom. "Dad, what's going on here" asked Flare. Humphrey got out of the car and he spotted a white Audi A5 sportback, smashed against a semi truck.

"Hey isn't that my parent's car" asked Humphrey to Flare's mom. She didn't responded.

Humphrey glance at the car and notice his parents was inside as the fire was coming fast to them.

"Mom, dad" shouted Humphrey as he was about to run but was held back by Flare's dad. "I'm sorry Humphrey, but we can't save them" he said.

This broke Humphrey's heart as he watch the fire made it to his parents.

"MOM, DAD" Humphrey yelled as he began to cry. "NOOO". The reason why they can't save them it's because the doors are locked and the fire was huge.

Humphrey froze at his spot and watch his parents burn to death inside the car as the fire truck arrived.

It took 45 minutes to finish off the fire on the car. The firemen pulled out their bodies and set them on the bag. Humphrey just stared at the bodies with a sad shocked look on his face.

Their bodies were skeleton and then, the firemen wrapped them up. Humphrey wailed as he fall on the ground with his knees as Flare's dad hug him.

Humphrey was taken to the adoption center with Heather but she was in a room where all the babies are.

Humphrey didn't came out of his room, his eyes were bloodshot, seeing his parents' death. He didn't come outside of his room or he didn't visit his baby sister.

Just then, two people just walked into his room. A female was holding Heather on her arms. She has silver fur and blue eyes. A male was looking at him, motion him to join them, making Humphrey uncomfortable as he shifted away.

The male has brown fur and yellow eyes as he began walking towards Humphrey.

"Hey there little guy" said the male. Humphrey didn't response and looked down on the floor. "Humphrey, right" asked the male.

Humphrey look at the male and he notice bloodshot in his eyes. He hugged him and comforted him as he cry.

"Shhhh, it's okay, we know your parents and we're going to adopted you" said the male. Humphrey cry even harder when he said his parents.

It took a while to calm him down as the male start to introduce to himself and his wife. "My name is Felix, and this is Sara. We're going to be your parents" greeted Felix.

"Come on let's go" said Felix as he gently padded on his shoulder. Humphrey followed him as they walked out of the building. They went inside the car and drove off to find a perfect house as Felix was holding a case in his hands.

He open it and there was bunch of money inside of it. The house was sold and a new beginning awakens for Humphrey and Heather through out their lives.

(End of Flashback)

Kate was tearing up as Humphrey finish his story. She hugged him passionately, kissing his neck.

Heather was also crying as Felix and Sara are hugging her. "I can't believe...my p-parents...are dead" Heather sobbed on Felix's shoulder.

Sara notice that Humphrey wasn't crying. She looked up and didn't see Humphrey anywhere, neither Kate.

She was about to go find them until Humphrey and Kate came downstairs and handed a picture frame to Heather. Heather grabbed it and saw their family. She saw she was a baby and was being held by her mother in the picture.

Humphrey was on the middle between his father and mother. His father put his hand on his head as they were smiling.

"Yes, that's our parents Heather" said Humphrey. "Mom...look so beautiful" Heather sobbed as she look at her mother. She has white fur and icy blue eyes just like Humphrey's.

Her father, Charley, has gray and white fur and orange eyes. He looked similar to Humphrey and her. Humphrey and Charley look like twins but different eye colored.

Humphrey and Heather get that sometimes when people say 'are you guys twins', but no, Heather has a longer mane than Humphrey's and have different eye color.

It was mix by her mother's icy blue and her father's blazing orange.

"Damn, sorry to ask man" said Shakey snapping Heather back to reality. "Yeah and...I'm sorry about your parents" cried Lilac.

"Thanks guys, that means a lot me and no worries. I'm perfectly fine" said Humphrey then he saw Sara looking at him in shocked.

"What" asked Humphrey. "How the heck you did not cry when you explain the story" asked Sara. Humphrey shrugged and walked outside with Kate and look up to the sky.

"Humphrey" asked Kate. "Yes" replied Humphrey. "That was the sweetest thing you've ever done to your sister" said Kate kissing him. "That's why I picked you, as my amazing boyfriend" confessed Kate.

Humphrey smiled and she smiled back.
