Chapter 7 : Shark vs Dento
"Master Kite I f-found Shark's bike" Orbit 7 said from his stop on kite's back.
"Show me" Kite order "And contact the others" he add.
"Roger"
"I'll go first" Shark said drawing his card. Shark look at his hand he had some monsters and some traps that was all. He know that he need to play it safe until he know what Dento had in his deck.
"I place one monster face- down and two others and end my turn" Shark said doing that the three card appearing in front of him.
"You are smart most will show their first monsters, My turn I draw" Dento said he may want to destroy the boy in front of him, but that didn't mean he couldn't give praise to his opponent "I play Server in defense mode"
[ A girl with blond hair and green eyes in simple clothes appeared( Atk- 400, Def - 1000, level 4 Light Attribute)]
"That is all" Dento said not even putting any spells or traps.
Shark look at him 'His monster must have an effect'. "My turn then" Shark said "First I summon Big Jaws in attack mode"
[ a large blue shark with a big mouth and a raiser like fin appeared (Atk- 1800, Def - 300, level 3 Water Attribute)]
"Next I flip summon Drill Barnacle"
[ a barnacle with drill spikes appeared( Atk- 300, Def- 0, level 3 Water attribute)]
"Are you planning to xyz summon?" Dento asked.
"Like I'm going to tell you that" Shark snapped.
"Carry on then" Dento said with a shrug.
"Fine I activate Drill Barnacle's effect" Shark said "I can attack you directly" with that the water monster shot towards the barian, but Dento's own monster move in front of him and a barrier appeared.
Draken was down on one knee looking at Shark's bike. 'Dento' he thought before getting up and walking away. The police didn't see him despite many looking at him. "Kite can you tap into the Augmented Reality network to see if Shark is dueling" Draken said once he had gone a good distance away and through his own duel gazer.
"I can" Kite asked as he flew overhead. "Why would Shark be dueling?"
"Dento might have forced Shark to duel" Draken said "One to see if Shark is Nash . Two to see how good Nash is as a human."
"So to test if Shark become a barian again?" Kite asked "And I found a duel outside Heartland"
"Thanks I will tell the others" Draken said. Doing that by his ability to tell the other. "We must hurry Dento will kill Shark if he wins"
"No" Rio said through the duel gazer. Draken and link all of the duel gasser so it would be easy to communicate with each other.
"What" Shark said.
"Server's effect activated when you attack me" Dento said "The attack is directed to her and she is safe for a servant's job is to protect their master"
"So long as your monster is in defense mode you won't take any damage? "Shark asked.
"Yes"
"Fine I still have Big Jaws" Shark said "and I'll use it to attack Server" the shark dove towards the girl.
"I activate the trap card servants oath from my hand" Dento said playing the card "This stops the attack and end your turn" the card show the same girl bowing to a man in royal clothes.
"Nice try but I play a trap of my own" Shark said as one of his face down card flip up "And it's Explosive Urchin"
"What does that do?" Dento asked looking at what look like Naval mines about to explode.
"Dells you 1000 points of damage" Shark said.
Dento flew back from the exploded. His life points went to 3000, after that Dento stud up. "I believe it is my turn" Dento said sounding a little annoyed.
"Kite do you see the duel?" Dumon asked as he ran with the others towards the area Kite found.
"Yes" Kite said from the air.
"Is my brother dueling?" Rio asked
"Yes and he is winning" Kite replayed.
"Even If Shark is winning he is in trouble" Siri said.
"Why?" Yuma asked.
"Yes why is that?" Astral asked.
"Dento's deck is full of card that make it impossible to attack him or his monsters" Siri explained remembering the times she dueled the barian.
"Then how did you beat him?" Alito asked he was the only one on the ground not breathing hard.
"I never said I beat him" Siri said "I said that I fought Dento and the other two"
Alito open his mouth to argue, but Mizar cut him off "Let it go" the blond said.
"I draw" Dento said looking down at his hand he smirked " I summon Slave Boy in attack mode"
[A boy covered in dirt and simple clothes appeared ( Atk- 1000, Def- 1000, level 4, light Attribute)]
' He is going xyz summon' Shark thought panicking slightly .
"I overlay my level 4 Server and slave boy and build the overlay network" Dento said as the two monsters turn into ball of light. The two balls enter the portal. "I xyz summon the Servant's Master"
[ A man in a red suit appeared (Atk- 2100, Def- 2000, Rank 4, light Attribute)]
"You should consider yourself lucky boy" Dento said with a sneer "When I summon this monster I can't attack, I end my turn"
Shark sighed with relief " My turn then" he said as he drew his card. "I overlay my level 3 Big Jaws and Drill Barnacle and build the overlay network to Xyz summon Black Ray lancer" His monster turn into blue light ball and enter the network.
[ A human like manta ray in purple armor with a spear appear ( Atk- 2100, Def- 600, Rank 3 , Dark Attribute)]
"Next I play the spell card Sharkify" Shark said playing the card "My Black Ray Lancer is now a Black Shark lancer and gain 400 Atk points"
[ Black Shark Lancer Atk 2100- 2500]
"I detach one overlay unit from Black Shark Lancer and negate your monster's effect, Paralyzing Lance " Shark said one of Shark Lancer's overlay units was absorbed through it lance then using its wings the monster made wind that stop the other monster's effect "Now attack Servant's Master with Shimmering Spear Slash" Shark's monster spun its spear around before throwing at the other one.
"Nice try" Dento said pulling out a card "I play the spell Master's order. I can play this when I have a monster with the word 'Master' in its name and that allows me take your monster" The card had the three monsters that Dento used so far. Black Shark lancer move from Shark's side to Dento's.
"What" Shark said. He growled before saying "I end my turn"
"Good boy" Dento said as he pull his card from him turn. "I think I'll use your monster and attack you. Black shark Lancer attach your former master with Shimmering Spear slash" Black Shark lancer spun it lance before throwing at Shark. Shark's life points when down to 1500.
Shark got up from that attack 'I'm done I didn't even get out Abyss Splash' Shark thought. He know that with black Shark Lancer on the field that he couldn't use his number's effect, but once he got rid of the overlay units he could win if he got Abyss out.
"I will use one overlay unit from my monster to keep Black Shark Lancer on my field" Dento said. The overlay unit went into Servants Master's tie, then both monster glowed a white color. "And that will end my turn.
"My turn" Shark said "Because I have no monsters I can summon Depth Shark without a tribute in defense mode"
[ A shark that look like a Anglerfish appeared( Atk-1400, Def-0, level 5, Water Attribute)]
"That is all I can do" Shark said.
"How close are we?" Yuma asked as the group left Heartland.
"We still need to go ten miles South" Kite said as he landed.
"Darn it" Yuma said.
"Siri can't you use the overlay network to get us there faster" Rio asked turning to the girl
"I could" Siri said "But I still have to make sure Dento doesn't sense us near him"
"Let's do that" Dumon said who was in charge when Reginald wasn't around "When you're ready"
"Alright Let's go help Nash" Siri said as she glowed with a gray light "Overly open" The overlay network open behind Siri and everyone dissolved into the opening.
"So you're giving up?" Dento asked in a very amused voice.
"No"
"If you say so" Dento said drawing his card "Once again I will use your monster to attack" Black Shark Lancer through it spear at Depth Shark.
"I play my trap Hide and shark" Shark said as the trap rose up "Now i pay half my life points to end the battle and banish one 'Shark' monster" Shark's life points dove to 750, then his monster disappeared from the field.
"Tit" Dento said "I use Servant's Master's last overlay unit to keep Black Shark Lancer"
"My shark comes back since it is the end of the battle" Shark said true to his word Depth shark reappeared. "And it gains the same Atk point as I lost"
[ Depth Shark Atk- 1400- 2900]
"Well that can help you for once turn" Dento said "So which monster will you destroy?"
"You'll see" Shark said as he draw his card "Like with Depth shark I can summon this monster without tributing, say hello to Panther Shark"
[ This shark had panther skin( Atk-1100, Def- 2000, level 5, Water Attribute)]
"Well with two level 5 monsters I say you will be Xyz summoning in a bit" Dento said "But first I think I will use Black Shark Lancer's last overlay unit to make sure that you don't summon another monster and I'll use it on your Panther Shark" with that Panther Shark's effect to summon Eagle Shark was negated.
'I don't think he know that I could Summon Eagle Shark' Shark thought not show too much concern over the move 'But I can now summon Abyss'
"You must not care for your monster" Dento said "If you did you would have try to get it back"
"Whatever" Shark said "I overlay my level 5 Depth and Panther Shark and Xyz summon" The two monsters turn into blue ball of light and enter the overlay network.
"Whatever you're planning to summon it won't help you" Dento said.
Shark ignored Dento and began to chant feeling the power he must have fell back in his first life " Appear, Numbers 73! The holy drop falls into the Chaos. It shows its power, purifying the Chaos. Abyss Splash" The monster first appear in a circle like from with a blue orb in the middle then Abyss morph out of his sealed from ready to help his master.
[ Abyss was a warrior in blue armor and carried a trident(Atk- 2400, Def- 1400, Rank 5, Water Attribute)]
Dento's eyes went wide, he was well screwed and he cruse himself. That was why Shark didn't care when he used Black Shark Lancers effect on Panther Shark. Shark had what he need to xyz summon a number and Dento should have know that the numbers would return.
"I use one of Abyss Splash's overlay units to double his atk points for this turn" Shark said/ yelled. The overlay unit flew from its spot into Abyss's orb.
[ Abyss Atk- 2400-4800]
"Now Abyss attack Servant's Master, Final Blow" Shark ordered. Abyss raised his trident and launch a energy beam at Servant's Master.
"Unfortunately for you Nash" Dento said saying Shark's original name with much dislike "You won't get my monster, you'll get your with Servant's Sacrifice" the card had the monster Slave Boy going to what look like a hanging. Black Shark lancer put itself in front of Servant's Master and was destroyed. Dento life points went down to 1150
"The other effect of Servant's Sacrifice is I'm the one who lose the life points" Dento explained "And the damage is half"
[Abyss Atk- 4800- 2400]
"So you mange to keep more life points" Shark said annoyed "I end my turn with a face down" the card appeared.
"Yes I did" Dento said "And you will lose this turn and die" .
Draken hadn't gone with Siri and the other, he was trying to save Shark by hatching in the Augmented Reality from his lab under his house. "I'm so close, I have to do it during Dento's turn or" he didn't want to think about what if he didn't succeed.
"Dad" Siri voice came through the duel gazer "We are near the duel and Shark is now on the losing end".
"No" Draken said as he started to type faster "Little Star I might not make it do you think you could frees Dento for a few seconds?" .
"If I'm in my other from I could" Siri said "But without a Barian Sphere Cube field I can only hold it for three seconds" .
"I know but you have to" Draken said.
"I will" Siri said then she hung up.
"My turn" Dento said he look at his new card and smirk "Now with card I will end this duel"
"Don't tell me it's that Master's Order card again" Shark said if it was then he was good as dead.
"It is" Dento said with a mad smile "And I use it to take your Abye-" He got no farther because the whole clearing was suddenly frozen, and Dento was hit the hardest.
"What?" Shark asked.
"Shark hurry"
Shark turn to see something he hadn't seen in six month.
