Chapter 9: Crystal Pegasus
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NASH GOT AWAY" Vegaus yelled at Dento who had just got back from his duel with Shark. Dento had told his boss about the duel and how close they got to getting rid of one of the emperors.
"That Siri we need to get rid of her" Altaira said from her stop on the couch. Altaira was wearing a red dress that was to her heels and was sleeveless. "She has foiled our plans since she was 50"
"You're right my dear"Vegaus said a bit calmer "We need that half bred out of the way"
"That is true lady Altaira" Dento said "But Draken will stop any attempt to kill his daughter and then there is her dragon"
"Then we need to capture the lizard" Vegaus said thinking of a plan. His clothes were a white dress shirt with a red tyrant shaped neck tie and brown pants. "A duel, no a Shadow Duel that will get rid of that half bred and her lizard" a malice glint in his eyes.
"So who is next?" Bronk asked.
"It would be good to decide that" Draken "But they would have to wait"
"And why's that" Rio asked.
"The machine is in a cool down" Draken explained.
"Meaning that it can't used right away" Kite said.
"So who is next" Alito said looking at the others.
"Me" both Rio and Dumon said.
"Can you do two at once?" Shark asked having turn back to his human form.
"Maybe" Draken said.
"Yes it can" Siri said from her stop next to Vector. She was also petting Ponta after the raccoon- dog final stop shivering around her.
"We're both going next" Rio said in that final tune.
"As you wish my queen" Draken said bowing.
"I take it that two won't speed up the process" Mizar said looking at Siri.
"No if anything it will take longer" Siri said both of them were outside so Siri could work with Is Drage.
"The first thing you need to do is get your dragon out" Mizar said.
"Right" Siri said then did just as she was told. Getting Is Drage out was the easy part because Siri had work on that for years. Controlling the dragon wasn't. "Now what?" She asked as Is Drage look around.
"You have seen that How To Train Your Dragon movie?" Mizar asked.
"Yes"
"Try something from the movie" Mizar said.
Siri held out her hand but didn't look at the dragon. Is Drage look at his partner then walk up to her. He shifted the hand that was held out then Is Drage put his snout against Siri hand.
"Nice work" Mizar said coming over.
"What is next" Siri asked as she petted her dragon and was surprised to hear him purr.
"How long does it need before we can use it" Dumon asked looking at the machine.
"At least four hours" Draken said as he look through a box he had in a corner. He look up and at the machine "We have two left" with that Draken went back to the box.
"What are you looking for?" Dumon asked looking in the box. It was full of animals had of gems and jewels.
"Something that Marin will like" was the answer he got.
That case Dumon to think back to the time Draken called Rio,Merag. That name fit the named after stars theme, But why did Draken say that name. "Why did you call Rio Merag?" he asked.
Draken stood up with something in his hand and turned to face Dumon with look that sadness and regret "I call you names that you had in any of your lives" he said which didn't answer Dumon question.
Dumon and Rio stood in the machine ready to become barians again.
"Hold on a second" Draken said tossing something to Dumon.
It was a clear crystal Pegasus.
"What, was this what you were looking for?" Dumon asked looking down at the crystal.
"Yes" Draken said with a nodded "I have no use for it, so I'm giving it to you"
"Why?" Dumon asked confused "If I remember you said you're looking for something Rio would like"
"Well I do like pegasi" Rio said with a smile.
Draken smirk.
Vector suck away to the box 'So that is your game' he thought before looking through the box himself.
Much like Shark, Rio once she close her eyes came face to face with her self from her first life.
The Princess Marin had a long hood on her head, white heeled sandals, a white dress and three gold rings on her legs.
"Hi" the princess said.
"Hi as well" Rio said back.
"We weren't there for our brothers when they need us the most" Marin said look in down her tone was sad.
"Yes that is true" Rio said remembering that she sacrificed herself in the battle between Nash and Vector. That case Nash to pursue Vector until both them died. Then when she had come back as Marin, Vector had beaten her and Dumon in a two on one duel. Nash had once again chased Vector to avenge her. "But This time we will be there"
"Will we?" Marin asked.
"Yes" Rio said with a nodded "One is that Vector is truly on our side this time and second I won't be that weak ever again"
Dumon look at himself then sighed "What do I regret?" he asked.
"That we failed to protect the one love" the knight answered. Dumon the knight had on silver armor with a white cape.
"Of cores" Dumon said thinking about when Marin sacrificed herself to bring out Crystal Zero. "We also failed our friend"
"Is the same thing going to happen again?" Dumon the knight asked.
"No" Dumon said "I won't let it. Do you know a man named Draken"
"I don't know anyone by that name" The knight said. "I'm sorry"
"It's ok" Dumon himself. he said "This is a mystery I have to solve"
"How long have they been in there?" Shark said.
"Forty minutes" Draken said.
"That is long" Girag said.
"How long was I in there?" Shark asked.
"A half hour" Siri said "Why did it feel shorter?"
"Yes"
"Perception" Draken said "You think one thing but in reality it is an other"
"Whatever" Shark said.
"Now who is ready to met the barians Dumon and Marin" Draken said pointing to the machine which had stop glowing.
Like before Siri flipped the switch and both Dumon and Rio shouted "Barian Battlemorph"
Marian was a white color, her hair is longer with more volume and was pure dark blue instead of the normal dual-color. She had on a white dress with blue and gold pieces, with large white shoulder pauldrons and gloves, with a blue midriff and a miniaturized version of Nash's Barian Emblem on her chest. Her eyes were still pink. She also had red marks on each side of her cheeks, a jeweled diadem with a gold net over the back of her hair and was adorned with green and red jewels that also has a green teardrop jewel hanging over her face.
Dumon was a wisteria color, he still had his gray hair, and he had two blue markings on the sides of his face and silver armor plating with blue gems covering different parts of his body, with his own Barian Emblem found on the right side of his chest. Unlike Nash and Marin, he has a visible nose in his barian form and his eyes were completely gray, with no visible pupils in them. In his hand was the crystal Pegasus that had turn into a Baria crystal.
"What happen to the Pegasus?" Tori asked pointing it out.
"My guess that bring in that machine turn it into a Baria crystal" Siri said.
Marian walk over to Siri "Our Barian forms are different why?' she asked.
Siri shrug "People are different in many ways so it the same with barians" she explained.
"Then answer me this why are you wearing a mask in your barian from?" Marian asked something had been off with Siri when she spoke. It was more muffled than was Nash spoke.
The area around were Siri's mouth and nose were located glowed then disappear, now they saw that Siri had a mouth and nose and had her look more human.
"You look more like Don Thousand did during our duel" Astral Said.
"The Elder Barians" Draken said "Bring former Astral beings do have mouths, so as my daughter and a half human Siri does also"
"Cool" Yuma said.
Dumon walk over to Draken "Why did you give me this?" he asked holding up the Pegasus.
"Because I think it's about time you and Marin married" Draken said
"What?" Dumon's eye were wide if he was in his human form his mouth would be open.
"Not right now of cores" Draken explained "But after this mess all you have to do is give it to her if she expects then you go from there "
"Are you sure this is ok" Dumon asked.
"If Nash is ok with you dating his sister" Draken said "He'll be ok with you marring Marin"
Dumon didn't look so sure.
