I really hope everyone likes this chapter. Its very special to me and was very fun to write. I had originally planned to have it as an extra 'What if' chapter, but decided to add it to the main cannon of the story for various reasons. A nice review for this chapter would be very welcome! So without further ado here we go.
Chapter 15: Beast Rising - Souls Of The Loved Ones Unite
Yuna and her group were halfway through the forest by now, just passing across the bridge where they had fought the Ochu, and despite a silence as it first appeared, it took Yuna to break it.
"I wonder what Kaiser is doing" She said looking back over her shoulder.
"He's definately dueling..." Tara said. "I can feel it"
"Me too come to think of it" Yuna said.
"Well he better hurry up!" Wakka said. "The boat wont wait forever"
"Then we will make it wait" Lulu said, drawing glances from the others. "There is more here than meets the eye"
"Why Lulu?" Yuna asks
"His reaction to the young boy... it hit home. I saw the look on his face"
"We all saw his eyes Lulu" Tara said.
"Its more than that" The mage explained. "He looked at the boy like he would family"
"Maybe his memories are coming back" Tidus offered hopefully.
"No" Lulu said. "In this instance he already had them, thats why he wanted to do this himself"
"Then why didnt he tell us?" Yuna said.
"Because its his fight... its personal. Even if he wont tell us" Lulu finished

"Right Kaiser..." I think to myself. "Your usual deck you cant use here... your limited to Beast type monsters as per the agreement... but I know exactly what I want"
Closing my eyes, I reach deep into my soul.
"Please, if you all can hear me in there, then show your potential!"
There was a shining light running through my deck as I opened my eyes. Drawing my opening hand, I smile when I see my deck has infact changed.
"I love you guys" I think to my previous deck's monsters. "But for now, let me show you some power from some people I hold dear!"
"Fayth's champions go first! I draw" I declare.
Putting a monster onto my duel disk, I smile
"I summon Snoopy! The Mauling Brown Bear in attack mode!"
Appearing on the field was a brown cocker spaniel dog, with a white chest and very interestingley, he had curly hair on his head as in a perm! Sniffing round the pleateau for a moment he failed to notice Kaiser behind him.
"Snoopy" I snigger.
Within a second Snoopy had turned round to see me before leaping directly into my arms! Laughing away like a madman as Snoopy started licking me like I was having a wash, I wasnt really paying attention to Elan.
"Your a good boy" I smile.
"Are you gonna duel or what?!" Elan shouted
Snoopy gave him a glare before snarling at Elan, making him step back for a moment. Snoopy jumped out of my arms to stand on the field.
"I really wouldnt upset him, he does get a tad viscious if your nasty to me" I smile
"Are you done?" Elan asked
"Dont you want to know his attack points?" I smile

Gasping, Elan was almost speechless
"Three thousand for a level four monster?!"
"Fortunately for you, when he attacks his points become eighteen hundred, but unluckily for you, his stats are three thousand any other time!"
"Tch" Elan sneered
"I set one card face down and end my turn"
"I draw!" Elan said. "I set a monster and end my turn"
"Back to me then!" I say drawing.
Without even looking at the card I realise another of my changed monsters had arrived. Turning the card over I smile at its artwork.
"I summon Betty-Sue! The Clingy One! In attack mode!"
The monster appearing on the field was once again a small cocker spaniel, this time it was a female that was black in colour with a white chest. Although her fur did seem a bit unruly around the edges. Turning round, she spotted me in a second and came over for a fuss, kneeling down she puts her paws around my neck as I kiss her on the head.
"Hi again girl, your a good girl arent you?"

"What in Sin is up with you and your monsters?" Elan asked perplexed
"There my dogs" I reply not looking up. "Isnt that obvious?" I ask
"You named your dogs such stupid names?!" Elan laughed
"My mother named them" I said standing up, now rather annoyed. "I just added on thier various quirks for the purposes of this duel"
"Idiot" Elan sneered.
"Well lets see shall we? Snoopy! Attack his face down monster!" I declare
As Snoopy heard my commmand, he snarled across the field and lept high in the air diving down onto the card flipping it up. It appeared to be a small squirrel like creature which I knew was Nimble Mononga.

"When you destroy my monster! I special summon two more from my deck and gain a thousand life points!"
Two more copies of the flying squirrel appeared on the field as Snoopy stood staring at them.

"Now you can have that pathetic black thing attack them too and give me more life points!" Elan sniggers
Betty-Sue looked hurt by such a comment, and cowered behind my legs
"Ignore him girl" I say
Laughing at loud, Elan couldnt contain himself
"Whats the matter? Little thing doesnt like the truth?!" Elan laughed
"Actually, you should know she is quite the instigator" I smile
"What you going on about now?" Elan retorts
"Basically she has a monster effect that translates from her personality. She wouldnt hurt a fly herself and cannot attack as a result, but she does instigate the rest to do things in her stead"
"Such as?" Elan said, now looking concerned
"Take a look at Snoopy's attack points" I say
Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear 3600/3000
"WHAT?!"" Elan cried out. "You said his attack would be eighteen hundred!"
"It was, but Betty-Sue doubles a monsters attack points once a turn in return for no other monsters attacking"
"Decent trick I suppose" Elan said, before jabbing a finger at his monsters. "But it doesnt matter! They were defending!" He said
"Did I mention Snoopy inflicts Piercing damage?" I say smirking.
A snarling infront of Elan made his face drop as Snoopy growled and lunged forward at him, biting him hard on the leg! Crying out in pain, Snoopy let go after biting hold of his target to jump back across the field infront of me.

"End turn" I smirk
"I draw!" Elan said sneering, before playing a few cards. "I set a monster face down and a card and end my turn" He said
"And you call me out when your not even attacking!" I say drawing.
"Trap activate!" Elan retorts. "Spirit Barrier! As long as theres at least one monster on the field you inflict no battle damage! Meaning your piercing effect does nothing!"
"Thats fine" I snigger. "Ive other methods anyway. First I switch Betty-Sue to defence mode
Betty-Sue instantly sat down at the command, with an impressive defence stat.

I then follow it up playing a card. "I summon Moosey! The Rampaging Beast in attack mode!"
The new monster was once again a female spaniel, but this time golden in colour, and while she was bigger in size than Betty Sue, she wasnt as big as Snoopy. Her lean athletic figure pawed around the field, hassling the other two dogs.

"Moose girl" I say quietly.
Within seconds I was treated to another wash as the Moose girl charged me, jumping into my arms at seeing me. Laughing, Elan looked like he was going to explode.
"What in Sin are you doing summoning a monster with those attack points?!" He shouted.
"Making a point" I say, as Moosey jumps down to join the others.
"Like what?" He said
"Find out, Moosey attack his squirrel!"
Moosey seeing her target before her, bared her head down her and charged like her namesake!
"That wont do anything! She cant beat my monster!" Elan retorted.
"Really?" I ask.
As she charged, Moosey began to emit a golden aura, which shot out to strike the Mononga and alter its stats!

After that, she headbutted the squirrel high into the air, and with a shriek it exploded.
"What happened?!" Elan said stunned.
"When Moosey attacks a monster, she drains half thier stats to add to her own, worse still for you, she negates the effects of monsters she both battles, and destroys, meaning you gain no life points!"
"Cheap trick!" Elan spits in fury
"It gets worse" I snigger. "You forget Betty-Sue's effect"
"That wont mean anything doubling her stats!" Elan shot back.
"Oh that effect was when she was in attack mode, now she is in defence mode, all my monsters gain the ability to attack twice a turn, but disallows any direct attacks"
"Oh Sin" Elan panicked
"Care to show em Betty-Sue?" I say with a snigger.
Betty-Sue getting onto her feet, procceeding to pad across to Moosey and start to fight with her! After a small scrap of claws and teeth, Betty-Sue came over and sat next to me while Moosey started to see red.
"It was him Moosey! Go get him!" I say.
With a snarl, Moosey charged again at the next Nimble Mononga and destroyed it with another headbutt!

"Take it away Snoopy! Attack his face down monster!"
The Brown spaniel snarled before making a high leap towards the set monster, which flipped up, revealing a small brown rat! It was still no match for Snoopy and was destroyed instantly
Bubonic Vermin 900/600
"When you flipped my monster face up, it lets me special summon another face down from my deck!" Elan said placing the next monster.
"Well it wont be around long as Snoopy attacks again!" I say.
Snoopy followed up his leap with a claw swipe at the next monster which vaporised once again as easily, only it was replaced by the final rat monster.
"All that and you didnt even do a single point of damage" Elan sniggered.
"Well your gonna have a clear field, for I activate the trap United Family! Since both Snoopy and Moosey are on the field, I special summon thier son to the field!"
A card popped out from my deck as I held it in the air.
"Arise Rico! The Proud Son in attack mode!"
Another spaniel was appearing on the field, he was similiar in colour to Moosey, however he was more blond than golden. Physically he was actually bigger than Moosey, but smaller than Snoopy. I didnt need to say anything this time to be treated to my next wash by Rico.

"Undeterminded points?" Elan said confused.
"Rico loves his mum Moosey, and she loves him just as much. As such, when he attacks, he drains her stats down to one for his own!"
A golden glow surrounded the two spaniels as thier stats altered!

"Rico attack that vermin!" I declare.
With a pounce across the field like his father, Rico tore into the final rat as it ripped up and exploded!
"Still you didnt damage me!" Elan retorted.
"When Rico destroys a monster in battle... his stats drain back down... and inflicts damage to you equal to his attack points!"
"Say what?!" Elan gasped.
"It looks like you forgot about effect damage! Blast him for a thousand points Rico! Charging Rage!"
Rico bounded across the field to charge at Elan and headbutted him hard in the stomach sending him staggering back. Bounding back across to me as he was fetching me a ball, I stroke him on his neck.
"Good boy" I say smiling.

Recovering from having the wind knocked from his sails, Elan was livid.
"What kind of cheating tricks are you pulling here with these effects?!" Elan snarled.
"Nothing to do with me, its all simply thier personalitys. They have effects you havent even seen yet" I say with a smile taking cards from my hand. "Two cards face down and I end my turn"
"My turn!" Elan said drawing "Pot of Greed!" He declared drawing ... before starting to laugh! "You fell for it!" He said laughing.
"Hmmmm, maybe you should let me in on the joke?" I say.
"The joke is you!" He said pointing at me. "I let you destroy those monsters on purpose! For now I play this! Its Demoic Beast Ritual!"
I actually stiffled the urge to gasp as he played his ritual spell.
"A card I've never seen before, and I didnt see him use it against Nomi... just what does it do?" I think.
"I sacrifice Ritual Raven from my hand counting as the entire tribute to summon the Dark Demonic Beast!"
A massive black cauldron appeared in the centre of the field with black smoke rising from it. Ritual Raven appeared on the field to descend into the cauldron and be consumed, and seconds later a purple energy beam shot from the cauldron into the sky! The four spaniels growled at this occurance as a shape was emerging from the cauldron. Clawed hands grabbed the sides to hoist itself out, and with a leap, it jumped high into the air to land on the field and I gasped in suprise. It looked like a typical devil. Horns on its head, a swishing tail and goat like legs and hooves, but this was not red, it was black in colour with black fur on its body. However its eyes were red, blood red in colour with a wicked smile.

"I activate its effect!" Elan said. "By banishing a beast monster from my graveyard, I can summon a Beast, Beast Warrior or Winged Beast from my hand or deck!"
"Oh crap" I say with a sigh.
From Elan's graveyard, his three Bubonic Vermin's and a Nimble Mononga popped out which he quickly pocketed, whilte then taking four cards from his deck.
"I summon Beast King Barbaros! Manticore of Darkness! Simorgh Bird Of Divinity! And finally Green Baboon Defender of the Forest!"
In a cloud of pyrelies, a massive army was now assembling. Green Baboon was exactly that, a massive green baboon with brown scaled armor carrying a massive club. Next emerging was a massive green bird, Simorgh, covered in what looked like jewelry on its wings. Shaping its wings in a circle, its head could be seen in what looked like an elborate headdress. The Manticore was almost like a chimera, it was a bi-pedaled golden lion with raven black wings and a snakes tail. Finally there was Barbaros, looking like a Centaur, it had a black lower body like a horse, while its upper body was a humanoid beast, with yellow armor and a mess of golden hair. It sported a lance and shield as its weapons.

As the four goliaths of Elan's roared at my spaniel army, the four beasts remained defiant, baring thier teeth against the much larger and stronger monsters. Jabbing a hand forward, Elan was already declaring his move.
"Manticore! Lets start with you! Attack that annoying black one!"
The winged lion creature roared and with a flap of its wings, lept into the air. Bearing its razor sharp claws, it flew towards Betty-Sue...
"I activate Loving Owner's Sacrifice!" I declare.
Within an instant I'd drawn my sword and lept forward onto the field to stand in harms way for Betty-Sue, bringing my sword up I stop the Manticore's attack dead with my blade, metal and claws sparking in thier clash, as I threw the Manticore away.
"What in Sin are you doing?!" Elan said.
"Using my trap effect" I say. "I pay five hundred life points to protect them from damage or being destroyed, and that cost is given to you. Forunately as a Continous Trap, I can use it as long as its on the field."

Pointing my sword directly at Elan, I sneer.
"You will not lay one finger on my dogs" I declare, stepping back to my original position.
"Then I'll lay hands on you!" Elan shoots back. "Baboon! Attack that kid one!"
With a mighty pounding of its chest, Green Baboon readied its club and surged across the field, bringing it up high to smite Rico down! However, as it did, Moosey barred her teeth in a viscious snarl and glowed a bright red aura, that seemed to effect the Baboon, making it jump back in fright!

"What happened?" Elan stuttered.
"You should have listened" I said. "Moosey loves her son, and by declaring an attack on him while she is on the field, activates her second effect! It drains your monsters stats to zero and adds them to hers until the end phase!"
"Thats just stupid!" Elan snarled
"Maybe so, but Rico can now counterattack with her points!" I shot back.
Once again Moosey's and Rico's points changed hands to power up the young spaniel who wagged his tail in appreciation to his mum.

"Counterattack now Rico!" I declare.
With a snarl of his own, Rico lept high in the air to impact the Baboon straight in the face, knocking it over backwards onto its back. However miraculously, it was not destroyed.
"Dark Demonic Beast protects my monsters from battle destruction each once a turn!" Elan declares. "And with Spirit Barrier out, I take no damage!"
"Maybe so, but since Rico did not destroy your monster, he keeps his points" I smile.
"They wont do you any good!" Elan declares. "Because now I will have Dark Demonic Beast attack! And since that brown thing has more attack points than it, it can attack you directly! Go Dark Beast Slash!"
With a blood freezing roar, the Dark Demoic Beast flexed its hands before stampeding across the field towards me and raising a massive claw. I however stand defiant as it does... until the last minute.
"Snoopy! It's coming to get me!" I declare.
With a snarl of his own once again, Snoopy bravely jumped into the line of fire to defend me. With a loud howl, the Demonic Beast was stopped dead in its tracks, and actually stepped back in fear, while Snoopy seized his chance with a pounce and chomped hard into the chest of the Beast making it roar in pain. Jumping off, the Dark Demoic Beast fell to the ground with a crash. His demeanor now changed once again to the sweet dog I knew, Snoopy came to my legs as I stroke his chest as he sits down.
"You always protect me" I smile
Elan however was far from impressed.
"What did you do?!" He roared
"Snoopy was my first dog" I said. "Ive known him from when he was a puppy, and looked after him during the day when everyone was out. He used to sit with me all day and never get tired seeing me. As such now he is an adult, he wouldnt let anyone hurt me"
"And that crap means?" Elan asked.
"It means a direct attack against me is met with Snoopy destroying your attacking monster and damaging you for its attack points!"
"Never!" Elan said taking a card from his graveyard. "I use my Beast's effect! I remove a Nimble Mononga to activate its other effect! I prevent it being destroyed by card effects!"
"Hmph" I tut. "But still, I've stopped your attacks easily"
"Well even if I cant destroy them this turn, I will take some of your life points! Barbaros! Simorgh! Attack the black one again!"
Simorgh created a windstorm with a flap of its wings, while Barbaros with a roar charged forward with its spear. I reacted instantly to thier attacks, running to the field. Shielding Betty-Sue with my body from the Simorghs torrent, I weather the storm, just in time to bring my sword up to block the strike from Barbaros. Gritting my teeth as its strength, I push it back with a cry of strength.
Kaiser 6500 Elan 6000
"Three cards face down and I end my turn. Now normally Simorgh would deal damage to each player at the end phase for one thousand points, however that damage decreases for each card we have set in our spell and trap zone by five hundred, so we are both protected... this time" Elan said with a snigger. "Even if I cant destroy your pathetic monsters, I can take your points and add them to my own. I also note my Baboon's attack points are back to normal" He smirked.
"Thats if I dont destroy your monsters!" I said drawing. "I play my own Pot of Greed!" I say drawing.
"Allow me to willingley interrupt!" Elan said as his three cards suddenly popped up. "Demonic Glare, Gravity Bind and Beast Blast!"
Seeing that he now had four face up cards on the field, I studied them for a moment, reading thier effects. After a moment, I shake my head.
"Coward" I said simply.
"What did you say?!" Elan retorted.
"That your a coward" I reply. "Your four cards simply prove that your a coward and bully. You try to overpower me with strong monsters, and use your cards to defend yourself since your weak on your own without anyone supporting you like your motley crew there"
"Dont talk shit!" Elan spat.
"Well your protecting your points with Spirit Barrier and Gravity Bind stops attacks outright for level four or higher monsters. Then your Demoic Glare activates since your Demonic Beast is on the field, negating a spell or trap once a turn, so no doubt you will negate Gravity Bind on your turn so you can attack, and Beast Blast means when your monsters attack, you damage me by one hundred points multiplied by thier levels at the end of the battle phase. A cowards way of fighting, hiding behind others and picking on the weak... you disgust me" I spit in the last phrase.
"Like I give a fuck" Elan shot back. "I've got you beat anyway!"
"Well lets see in the next round shall we? I place three cards face down and end my turn"
"Then I draw!" Elan said. "First Demoic Glare will negate Gravity Bind so I can attack"
"Right" I think. "With my trap already out I can block his attacks, but just incase with my other four face downs, I can protect my dogs"
As if on cue, the four spaniels turned and looked at me with thier sad puppy dog eyes they always used to get round me when they wanted something.
"Dont worry you lot" I think. "He wont touch any of you"
"I play Beast Rampage!" Elan said playing a continous spell. "From now on, it stops me from attacking directly and inflicting battle damage, but it gives my monsters the ability not to be targetted by your effects and they can attack all your monsters once each! This way I can take your life points with your own trap card and from my burn damage!" Elan laughed.
"Try it and find out" I challenge. "You cant get around my monsters effects for a certainty"
"Maybe" Elan sniggered. "But I can safely pummel that black one into the ground! Everyone attack!"
In a flurry of his monsters lunging forward, they all converged to attack Betty-Sue. But I took none of it, running back onto the field, I defended her relentlessly against the torrent of attacks, pushing off thier attacks one after another even though my points were draining.
Kaiser 4000 Elan 8500
"And the winner takes the lead" Elan laughed.
"My points arent zero yet" I snap back.
"Well I could simply end it now with my Blast card, but I really want to make you suffer, so since Barbaros cant be destroyed once this turn in battle, I will have it attack the brown one!"
Barbaros roared and charged, bearing its spear at Snoopy to skewer the poor animal with.
"Trap activate! Mauling Muzzle!" I declare.
Snoopy suddenly gave an ear splitting howl and glowed a bright red aura! Then he seemed to be fitted with a muzzle over his face...

"What?!" Elan gasped
"Snoopy hates check ups" I say. "His demeanor turns to a savage beast, doubling his points but preventing him inflicting battle damage this turn, but since that wont matter, he wont be destroyed!"
With a snarl behind his muzzle, Snoopy expertly dodged the oncoming spear and actually lept on the spear running along it quickly as a bridge! With a snarl once again, he headbutted Barbaros square in the face, knocking back the massive monster across the field.
"Care to try again?" I smirk.
"Baboon! Attack the kid one! And since you cant target him for effects, that other one cant drain his stats!"
Baboon roared charging Rico with its club ready to give an overhead skull destroying strike.
"Trap activate! Son's Cry!"
Rico immediately began to whimper almost like he was in pain and curled up into a ball on the floor. Snoopy immediately began to snarl and moved across the field next to his son.
"Despite Snoopy not really nursing his son like Moosey does, the sight of him being in pain drives him to a rage and support his son, meaning Rico gains Snoopy's attack points!"
Snoopy headbutted Rico urging him to get up, and with a snarl, Rico did as he was told. The pair saw Baboon approaching and Snoopy howled quickly and was joined by his son.

Seconds later Rico snarled like his father and pounced at Baboon, biting it hard on the wrist, the massive monster dropped its club and howled in pain. Jumping off, Rico moved closer to his father, who simply walked away, back to thier usual relationship.
"You cant win Elan" I said with a smile.
"I've still got my burn damage to deal you which is more than enough!" He roared back seething. "But Im still gonna teach them things a lesson! Manticore! Attack the other golden one!"
The Manticore roared and with a flap of its wings straight towards Moosey, who was defenceless without her effect...
"Rampaging Stomp activate! When attacking Moosey, this card ends the battle phase!"
Moosey began padding the ground with her paws, until all of a sudden she brought a foot down that shook the very earth around the plateau, as the others struggled to remain on thier feet, the sight of this made Manticore fly back to his original position.
"Take my Blast effect then!" Elan shouted. "Its more than enough to wipe you out!"
The card in question began charging up a red energy ball on its surface before it shot out across the field straight at me.
"Clingy Love activate!" I declare.
Betty-Sue immediately jumped in the way of the blast very bravely and with a large explosion upon contact the area was shielded from view. Seconds later as the dust settled she was still there, glowing with a faint green aura.

"What the?!" Elan gasped
"As you may have guessed, Betty-Sue drains effect damage and adds it to her attack points until the end of my next turn" I snigger.
"I end my turn!" Elan declares at being thwarted.
"This is the final turn Elan!" I roar
Putting my hand down ready to draw, I close my eyes feeling a rush of energy beginning to build up in my body
"DRAW!" I declare extending my hand wide
A rush of energy arked from the drawn card, hitting several trees on the side of the pleateau and snapping them like twigs! Elan and his group were horrified at such a display, and thier horror was magnified when they noticed that Kaiser had now apparently grown a pair of blue and white wings!"
"What in Sin are you?!" Elan gasped
"I am the vessel for the strongest soul monster in existance, and normally I would have just drawn it" I say
Without even looking at the card, I know its my Blue-Eyes, but I know in this duel, its form had changed to something else
"Elan those wings!" One of his friends says "He's telling the truth!"
"Dont be stupid! That monster has never even been truly seen!" Elan retorts
"But... but what else could it be?" His friends stammer
"If your all quite done" I say bringing the card close to my chest but without looking at it
"Long ago, before my dogs were blessed unto me, I had another friend, he was such a sweet caring friend. He never did a thing wrong, and I cried my eyes out for days after he was gone..." I say a tear rolling down my face
"Is there any point to this sob story?!" Elan spits
Snarling at such insolence, I hold the card high in the air
"The point is its time for him to come back to me!" I say
The card errupted in a light that shone across the field, brighter than even the sun in the sky, as a massive amount of pyreflies began to converge from all directions.
"Awaken! Awaken from the unseen realm! May we live and duel forever! Descend! Kai! Beast of the Everlasting Sun!"
Yuna and her group were just emerging back into Kilika village when Tara suddenly stopped, and with a almost cold shake turned round to look back at the forest.
"Whats the matter?" Yuna said to her sister.
"There" Tara pointed.
The group could just make out through a gap in the trees where the plateau should be, they could all see the massive amount of pyreflies converging there.
"Who's doing that?" Wakka asked. "Kaiser?"
"Yea it is" Tara said. "But... it feels warm and gentle... and so caring and loving too." She smiled.
"Thats our Kaiser" Tidus smiled. "I can feel it too" He thought to himself
Despite all the pyreflies converging, they all seemed to dissapear a few seconds later, as nothing appeared! Looking round, Elan and his group were confused.
"Where is your monster?!" He questioned
"Cant you see him?" I say. "He's right here"
And there true enough on the back of Kaiser's right hand, was a small brown animal. It was a hamster! Now despite thier earlier fear, Elan and his group all errupted in laughter at seeing Kai and his stats

"What in Sin is that? Something for me to step on?" Elan laughed cruely.
But I wasnt listening, not that I hadnt heared or anything, but I was just enjoying seeing Kai again.
"Its nice to see you again son" I say with a smile. "I hope your happy" I say stroking him. He quickly repaid my stroke with a nibble on my finger, but it didnt hurt. He always liked to nibble my finger affectionately.
"Not to interrupt you two love birds or anything" Elan said "But you just summoned a monster with zero attack points! How stupid is that!"
"Well for starters when Kai is on the field, my other monsters cannot attack, and thier effects can no longer be activated while he is on the field, so my Spaniel army will have to sit this last turn out"
On cue, all four spaniels sat down like a military unit
"So you just screwed yourself out of winning!" Elan laughed
"On the contrary, Kai has won me this duel hands down!" I reply
"Your bluffing! Your monster's attack points are zero and its held back by my trap cards! You cant win!" Elan retorts
"Kai negates your spell, trap and monster effects when we enter the battle phase! Meaning he is held back by nothing!"
"So what?!" Elan replys. "With zero attack points it wont be doing a thing!"
"Kai... is a creature of potential. Potential enough that he gains triple the attack points of all other Beast, Winged Beast and Beast Warrior monsters on the field!"
"IT WHAT?!" Elan and his group gasp horrified once more
Kai's attack stats started to rise up almost off the charts, as he was being powered up by not only Kaiser's spaniel army, but all of Elan's monsters too. In the end they began to slow until they stopped, Kai's stats were now even higher by a massive margin than Cyberdark Dragons previous points from the duel with Tara!

"And even you can do the math, this attack will bring my victory!"
Bringing my hand to my face, I kiss Kai across his back as he looks at me with a funny glance that only he could do. I feel my wings begin to retract and dissappear from sight. Kaiser's wings were now emerging from Kai's back! Small minature wings of course, and the small hamster now looked at his new wings with an odd look
"Take my wings son, and fly onward! Show them your the top Beast around here!"
With a small squeak Kai began to flap his new wings, unsteady at first, but he eventually took flight, and turned to face Elan's Demonic Beast.
"Now radiate! Everlasting Sunshine!"
Kai flew directly towards Demonic Beast who tried to swat the small creature out of the air, but Kai was too fast, dodging out of the way and striking it directly in the chest who fell over backwards and was destroyed!
"When Kai destroys a monster... he destroys all your other cards as well" I say almost in a whisper
Elan had no words, his life points were already at zero, but the massive explosion of his other monsters being destroyed threw the boy across the plateau to land in a heap far away.

Elan's flunkies quickly went to scoop up the battered body of thier fallen leader and immediately hauled him back towards the temple.
"If I see any of you again you will all suffer the same fate!" I shout
Hurried on thier way by my threat, they quickly departed the scene. Kneeling down, I see my spaniels are still there, and flying back towards me slowly was Kai. Holding my hand out, he landed in my palm, as my dogs came forward to sit around me in an almost a group hug. Wrapping my arms around them all, I kiss them one by one.
"Ill see you all again soon" I say to them.
Then bringing Kai to my face, I kiss him gently.
"And you... be happy. Wherever you are" I say, a tear rolling down my face.
With a group of barks in response and a small almost chirping like noise, my animals had replied to me and slowly faded into pyreflies before dissappearing completely. Taking my cards off my duel disk, they were changing back to thier original forms. However with a gasp, I see more cards had appeared behind them. They were the cards of my pets. Smiling, I hold them to my chest.
"So your all here for me all the way" I think, before placing them in my jacket pocket where my Blue-Eyes had been next to my heart. "And thats where you belong, in my heart" I think fondly.
Running over, Nomi was elated wrapping his arms around me in a bear hug.
"You won! You won!" He cried out.
"They won" I said referring to my animals. "Now come on, lets get you to that boat" I say
Standing up, we move to head back towards Kilika, and as we do, I took a final look back at the Plateau.
"The scene of my death and rebirth... and bringing back light into my soul" I think.
With that, I turned and descended the steps.
Somewhere in the real world, there was a house. In that house laid in a group infront of the fire were Kaiser's dogs. Almost in sequence, they all woke up, and jumped to thier feet. Running across the room towards a table, they were all wagging thier tails. A young boy walked towards them to see what they were doing.
"Mum" He said. "Why are they all looking at the picture of Dandy?" He said
Sure enough, all four spaniels were looking at a picture of Kaiser that was on the table.
"I don't know love" A woman said. "Maybe they miss him"
In Kaiser's own home, on his bedside table was a small brown box. On top of the box there was a plaque saying the words 'Kai'. It was a box containing the Hamster's ashes. A single pyrefly emerged from the wall to fly towards the box and land on it. A second later a ghostly image of Kai was stood on top of the box, still with Kaiser's wings on his back. With a small squeak he disappeared... but a motif of blue and white wings were now around the plaque.
New Cards used in this Chapter
Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear - This card inflicts Piercing battle damage. When it declares an attack, its attack becomes 1800. If a monster would attack the player directly, you can activate this card effect, and destroy the attacking monster and deal damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monsters attack points.
Betty-Sue, The Clingy One - This card cannot attack. Activate the following effects based on which mode this card is in.
Attack Mode - Once a turn, you can double a monsters attack points during the damage step. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack during the turn you use this effect.
Defence Mode - All monsters you control can attack twice during the battle phase, but you cannot attack directly.
Moosey, The Rampaging Beast - When this card is attacked, target the opponents monster, and reduce its attack and defence points by half, adding it to the appropriate stats of this monster. This card negates the effects of monsters it battles and destroys. If Rico, The Proud Son is attacked while this card is face up on the field, you can target that monster, reduce its attack to zero, and then add that attack to this card until the end phase.
Rico, The Proud Son - If Moosey, The Rampaging Beast is face up on the field, you can drain that monsters stats down to one, to add the appropriate stat to this card. When this card destroys a monster by battle, it looses its stat bonus and damages the opponent equal to its previous attack points.
Kai, Beast Of The Everlasting Sun - While this card is face up on the field, other monsters you control cannot attack or activate their effects. In the battle phase, this card negates the effects of your opponents spell, trap and monster effects. This effect cannot be negated by any over card. This card gains triple the attack points of all other Beast, Winged-Beast and Beast-Warrior type monsters that are face up on the field. When this card destroys a monster by battle, destroy all other cards on your opponents side of the field.
Pot of Greed - Draw 2 cards from your deck.
Rampaging Stomp - When Moosey, The Rampaging Beast is targeted for an attack, you can end the battle phase.
Clingy Love - When an effect is activated that deals direct damage to a player while you control a Betty-Sue, The Clingy One, you can activate this card. That damage is negated and the negated damage is added to Betty-Sue, The Clingy One's attack points until the end phase of your next turn.
United Family - When Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear and Moosey, The Rampaging Beast are face up on the field, special summon one Rico, The Proud Son to the field.
Loving Owner's Sacrifice - As long as this card remains face up on the field, when an attack is declared or a targeted destruction effect against either Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear, Betty-Sue, The Clingy One, Moosey, The Rampaging Beast, Rico, The Proud Son or Kai, Beast Of The Everlasting Sun, you can pay 500 life points, you take no battle damage from the attack and/or the targeted monster is not destroyed. Then increase your opponents life points by 500.
Mauling Muzzle - When Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear is attacked you can activate this card. Double its current attack points during your opponents turn, but you cannot inflict battle damage with it during your opponents turn.
Son's Cry - When Rico, The Proud Son is attacked on the field while Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear is face up on the field, you can then add the current attack points of Snoopy, The Mauling Brown Bear to Rico, The Proud Son.
I know this chapter might not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it really will set the outline of future events to come in this story. Deck lists will be updated in the next few days for the Kilika duel and this one. See you again!
