Time for a duel centric chapter! I think the tag line of this chapter will give it away though. Hope you all like it!

Chapter Twenty One: Blitzball Finals! Part 2 - Clustering Wishes Light The Way
The stadium in Luca was rampant in activity as people were fleeing for thier lives in terror at the rampaging Fiends. Tidus and the others were doing thier best to fight them off with Yuna using Ifrit to blaze away many of the Fiends. Tara had joined the fray summoning various Crystal Beast monsters to try and even the scores. Many of the other Duelists from the tournament had already joined the fray too with thier monsters attacking the Fiends in earnest, but despite how hard they fought more and more Fiends kept coming. In the sky above the Blitzball Sphere pool, I was observing the Duel Bot at a distance, floating in the air as my wings were keeping me level, while the Duel Bot's thrusters on its back was keeping it perfectly balanced. Suddenly however it seemed to power up and take off around the circle of the stadium. I flap my wings and head after it in persuit and quickly catch up to it, as it spins round and begins its move without even noting the course it is taking.

"Draw.." The Bot said taking the first turn, in a squeaky voice. "Pot of Greed... Draw two cards..."
The Robot in appearance was similiar to the ones I knew were used in Bevelle. They had a long thin legs and arms which were crossed as if it was sitting down. I noticed its moves were very fluid and it didnt even appear to be looking at the cards it had drawn. But then again its eyes couldnt give anything away even if it was looking at them, for they were shielded by domes.
"Set.. Monster face down defence mode... Three cards set... End turn"
As the four cards appeared on the field I paid them no heed, for it was clear how obvious a trap that was, and for a robot, I was suprised it would be that transparent. As I drew my hand and took a look at the cards there I noticed that there were new cards there. I didnt even have time to read them as something strange happened.
"I special summon Kaiser Synchron!" I declare.
I felt trapped in my own body as my arms and even my voice was acting against my will forcing my own moves. Kaiser Synchron, the monster I had summoned was nothing spectacular to look at, and neither were its stats. It appeared to be a glowing blue and white orb with five fiery stars around it.

"This card is special summoned when you control a monster and I do not! After, I can increase or decrease its level by up to two! I choose to increase it making it a level seven monster!"
Another two fiery stars appeared around the orb as I was trying to work out its function. But I was still seeing what was happening as I played another card.
"I summon Tuningware!"
Tuningware appeared in a small cloud of pyreflies, looking like a small yellow robot with a frying pan on its head and a scarf around its neck. Once again its stats were unimpressive, but I was already continuing my move as I tried desperately to read the cards I had summoned against my will.

Two more of the robots appeared quickly, giving me a total of four monsters on my field.

A second later feeling came back into my limbs as I looked at the cards I had summoned, glacing over thier effects, I knew then exactly what was happening.
Kaiser Synchron was a Tuner monster...
In a flash of red light I felt my right arm begin to throb as a crimson red tail mark appeared on my arm! I felt a sensation in my coat pocket as I took out against my will a card that I had won in the tournament. It began to take shape in the form of a dark feathered monster with a white background. A moment later a ghostly figure was next to me, with wild orange hair dressed in black with several yellow lines on his face.
"Oi Kaiser! Lets show them our Synchro power!" He spoke
I smiled at Crow as once again my hands and voice began to act of thier own accord, but this time I did not resist, I actually willed myself to join in.
"Level one Tuningware and Level seven Kaiser Synchron I tune!"
The two monsters ascended into the air quickly as Kaiser Synchron transformed into seven green circles that Tuningware entered in the center. Its body became transparent before it turned into a shining star as I started to chant further.
"Darkened squalls! Transform into a being that soars on the wings of resolved hope! Synchro Summon! Maiagare! (Soar!) Black Feather Dragon!"
The Synchro gate opened through the circles in a blast of green light as a creature emerged. A massive white winged dragon with a swirling tail, covered in the aptly named black feathers, its eyes glew red as it gave a shrill roar from what looked like a beak.

"Appear!" Tara declared above the din of the stadium battle. "Neos Wiseman!"
Tara's new hero appeared in a flash of light as the Dingo's that had assembled cowered in fear at the sight of the monster.
"Ultimate Nova!" She declared.
With a roar and a jump high in the air, Wiseman once again unleashed its energy stream that destroyed the crowd of Dingo's in a single blast. As her monster descended back to the ground, Tara was extatic at having used it for the first time. However her eyes were drawn to the sky as a ring of green light seemed to create a new monster in Kaiser's duel.
"Synchro monsters... You really did get a good prize" She smiled looking into the sky.
"When Tuningware is sent to the graveyard for a synchro summon I draw one card!" I say drawing, before taking a card from my graveyard and replacing it with one from my hand. "I discard one card from my hand to the graveyard to special summon Kaiser Synchron from the Graveyard and make its level seven once more!"
In a flash of light, my own Tuner monster had appeared on the field as its level quickly increased once again to level seven.

In another flash of crimson light, the mark on my arm had now changed to a pair of flaming red wings as a very tall man was now at my side. He had blond hair, was wearing a white long coat and pierced me with his dark purple eyes while he brought his arm across his chest as his own mark shined.
"Use it Kaiser! The power of my raging spirit!"
Nodding in response to Jack's demand I embrace his fury once more I continued my move.
"I use Tuningware and Kaiser Synchron in a Synchro Summon!" I declare.
As the same synchro gates emerged, I began to chant once more.
"The might of the rulers hearbeat, will now surge into being! Bear witness to the power to shake creation itself! Synchro Summon! Ouja no Tamashi! (Kings soul!) Red Demon's Dragon!"
In a pillar of firey flame, a mighty red and black scaled dragon appeared with a large set of bat like red wings. Its powerful muscular almost lizard skinned body was a sight to behold as It roared from its Tri-White horned head as it flexed its arms in preparation for battle.

"When Kaiser Synchron leaves the field after using its second effect I take two thousand points of damage!" I declare.
"Self destruction strategy.." The bot replied.
Red Demons Dragon seemed to glow red suddenly as it shot out an energy beam at me of its own accord, but Black Feather Dragon suddenly roared.
"No its not!" I reply. "Black Feather Dragons effect activates! Damage Drain! When I would take effect damage I lower its attack points by seven hundred and place a Black Feather Counter on it and negate the damage!"
The energy shot seemed to change direction towards Black Feather Dragon who inhaled it sharply while the bottom half of its wings turned black in response.

Then drawing for Tuningware one again and then discarding, this time I did not announce my move as I continued the cycle to bring Kaiser Synchron back to the field and increase its level this time to six, to prepare for another Synchro Summon. This time as I prepared, the wings mark were replaced with a claw mark on my arm, as a stunningly attractive red haired woman in a red dress appeared next to me. Winking at me with a smile, she spoke.
"Take my psychic power and wishes with you Kaiser!" She declared
Blushing as Akiza winked at me, I continued the move along with her, as my two monsters entered the Synchro rings, I chanted for her monster.
"Cold darkened flames engulph the entire land. The pitch dark flower will be set into a full bloom! Synchro Summon! Arawareyo! (Appear now!) Black Rose Dragon!"
In a shower of pyreflies and red petals, the plant like Dragon spread its wings onto the field with a roar. Its entire body was covered in what looked like scales, but were infact more along the lines of leaves on a plant coloured blood red. Its long neck looked down forward across the field with fiery red eyes.

Black Rose Dragon quickly turned red as Kaiser Synchrons effect kicked in, but it was quickly absored by Black Feather Dragon who's wings were now half turned completely black as its attack points dropped further.

The three Dragons regarded each other for a moment before they turned in unison to roar across the field at the Duel Bot. Smiling I thrust a hand forward to begin my attacks.
"Now attack! Black Rose Dragon! Black Rose Flare!"
Arcing back its neck for a moment it then lashed it forward spewing out a black and crimson red energy stream from its mouth that hit the set monster that flipped up, revealing a monster that looked like an egg, but seemed mechanical.

"Wise Core effect.." The Bot began. "Once per turn is not destroyed in battle..."
"Well with those points Ill simply attack it again!" I declare. "Black Feather Dragon! Noble Stream!"
Charging up its own dark and red energy stream, Black Feather Dragon's attack shot across the field directly at the defending egg...
"Continous Trap activate.." The bot said suddenly. "Machine Strait's... All monsters on the field destroyed in battle are also considered as destroyed by card effects..."
... which was vaporised instantly by Black Feather Dragons attack leaving the Bot's field open. I actually was suprised why it would play such a trap card since it would be destroyed regardless, therefore it would make no difference.
I was wrong.
"Wise Core effect when destroyed by card effect.." The bot began. "From my hand, deck and graveyard... special summon Machine Emperor Wisel Infinity... Wisel Top... Wisel Guard... Wisel Attack... and Wisel Carrier..."
Gasping at such an effect the five cards flew from the bots deck as the various forms landed on the field, with all the monsters being silver in colour with Infinity being what looked like a chest plate with a glowing green swirling orb surrounded by rings in the centre, while the Top was a machines head with red eys, the Attack was a arm with a leathal looking blade attached, the Guard being the same but a shield replacing the blade and the Carrier seemed to be a pair of legs. Puzzled, I noticed that none of thier stats were particularly impressive.

"Combine as one.." The Bot continued. "Machine Emperor Wisel..."
Sparks of electricity began to flow from each parts as they began to combine into one horrifying robot. It was humanoid in shape as the parts assembled and flexed its arms once it was fully assembled with the infinity mark in its chest briefly appearing enlarged behind the monster for a moment.
"Wisel Infinity.. Gains the total points of of all other Wisel monsters on the field..." The bot declared as Wisel's stats rose quickly.

For a moment I stare curiously at the Bot's combined monster and I was still confused. His monster with all thier combined stats was still unimpressive, as my last remaining attack could destroy any piece like it was nothing. Thrusting an arm forward, I declare just that.
"Red Demons Dragon! Attack Wisel Infinity! Absolute Powerforce!"
With a roar, Red Demons Dragon charged up flame and clenched its fist to deliver a right hook across the field towards the combined Wisel, however the Bot merely spoke in counter.
"Wisel Guard effect.. Attack re-directed to Wisel Guard upon attack declaration..."
The machine brought up its shield arm to meet the right hook which was destroyed in a massive punch leaving the machine with one arm less and its stats lowered.

Gritting my teeth in frustration at being thwarted I point upwards towards Black Feather Dragon.
"I activate the effect of Black Feather Dragon! By removing its counters and distributing them among your monsters I can lower a monsters attack points by seven hundred for each counter and burn you for the same damage! So I choose your Carrier and Attack parts!"
Black Feather Dragons black feathers began to return white once again as it formed a black energy ball in its pincer like tail that grew in intensity
"Black Burst!" I declare.
Black Feather Dragon shot the energy ball across the field to engulph Wisel as a chain of events quickly occured. The bot seemed to spark as it was affected by the direct damage while the Wisel parts stats lowered and since they had lowered, the Infinity monster quickly lost attack points since the sum of its parts were weakened.

"I set three cards and end my turn" I declare.
"Draw.." The Bot said as it moved cards around its hand. "Trap card activate... Frankenstein Emperor... All monsters except an 'Infinity' monster on my field are destroyed..."
With a gasp of suprise the remaining parts of Wisel were evaporated into pyreflies leaving the Bot's field open bar its centre... but the pyrefiles quickly began to come together as the Bot continued speaking.
"Randomly from my deck I can special summon parts equal to monsters destroyed.. Each part summoned has to have the same last word in its name from the part previously destroyed but it is summoned in its 'Three' version... however opponent draws a card..."
"What the hell?!" I exclaim.
"Special Summon.. Wisel Attack Three... Skiel Carrier Three... Wisel Top Three... Combine as one, Frankenstein Emperor..."
The new parts of the various Wisel Machine Emperors looked roughly the same as thier previous counterparts except this time the Attacks blade had lengthed and sharpended into a twin blade, while the Top versions red eyes had expanded further and looked like it bore small wings on its head. Skiel Carrier however did not look completely like a pair of legs, but more along the lines of pincers that a Praying Mantis would have. In the end they combined and all changed into a white colour which was the colour of Wisel Infinity, while the Skiel Carrier's pincers seemed to inflate and take on thrusters from the back to propel the machine in flight rather than having legs. Taking a card from its hand, the machine continued its move
"Summon.. Granel Guard Three..." It droned.
As the final part of the reinforced and upgraded machine appeared, the new Guard monster looked like a yellow hexagonal shield with various circular patters on each side, which quickly changed colour to white to merge with the shoulder of the Machine Emperor.

"Wisel Infinitys points now increase by the parts on my field.."
Wisel was surrounded by a shimmering green aura as its stats began to climb, easily surpassing each of my Synchro monsters.

I was instantly suspicious of the upgrades to Wisel Infinity, for it seemed like a lot of trouble to simply raise the attack points of one monster when I could simply attack the other pieces to weaken it. I quickly glanced at my three face down cards knowing that I could dodge any attack it now threw at me so I could do just that next turn.
"Wisel Infinity's effect.." The Bot began. "Synchro Absorber... Each turn absorbs a Synchro monster as an equip spell and increases Wisel Infinitys attack points by the original points of the absorbed monster..."
"Say what?!" I cry out.
Wisel's chest plate opened up to reveal the green infinity core inside which shot out around a dozen green tentacles across the field to latch onto Red Demon's Dragon who roared in frustration.
"Trap activate!" I declare. "Skill Prisoner! Since your monster targetted mine, my Trap now renders Red Demons's Dragon immune from monster effects that targetted at activation!"
Red Demon's Dragon roared once more and wrenched itself free from the tentacles that retracted back towards Wisel...
"Wisel Top effect.." The bot declared. "Once per turn negates a spell or trap effect... Skill Prisoner is negated and destroyed..."
Wisel tops eyes red eyes glowed brighter for a moment as two laser beams shot out from them blasting my trap card into a shower of pyrefiles as it was destroyed. Snarling in rage, I could do nothing as Wisel resumed its effect and latched onto Red Demon's Dragon, pulling it back towards it where it was transformed into a green energy ball to enter Wisel's chest plate. Wisel itself began to glow green as its points shot up while also developing what looked like a fog like apparition of Red Demons Dragon's head on its blade arm.

Seeing all those attack points I could feel the blood leaving my face in fear, for I was now understanding the purpose of this Machine Emperor. It appeared that despite the main Infinity part being somewhat weak, the individual parts had devestating effects in order to keep all the parts together. Coupled with the fact it absorbed Synchro Monsters made this machine a Synchro Killer.
"Wisel Infinity.." The bot announced. "Attack Black Rose Dragon... Infinity Slash..."
Rearing its arm back, Wisel Infinity shot across the field to bring it down in a lethal slash at Black Rose Dragon... But at the last second the attack was met in mid flight by a small metal scarecrow!
"I activated Scrap-Iron Scarecrow! Once per turn it negates your attack then re-sets itself" I declare as the Scarecrow once again entered the trap card to reset itself.
"Trap activate.. " The bot said without pause. "Battle Return... Halfing a monsters attack on my field allows it to attack again... Analysis... Scrap Iron Scarecrow cannot be activated again... so attack will succeed..."

Wisel engaged its thrusters once more and charged Black Rose Dragon who this time was not protected and was sliced in half by its blade to roar in agony and explode in pyreflies. I shielded myself from the blast with my arms but still felt the searing heat from the explosions as my life points dropped. However after the explosion, Black Rose Dragon was still there! Smirking I hold up a card for the Robot to see.
"Thanks for that draw! I drew Hedge Guard! I send it to the graveyard to negate my monsters destruction then half its attack points till the end phase, but thats not really a problem since your out of attacks!"

"Set two cards.. End Turn..." It said as its monsters stats returned

Back down in the stadium, Auron and Tidus were fighting back to back against the onslaught of Fiends in the immediate area. Several Dingo's had converged on the pair and managed to separate them. Auron was holding his own, slicing through them with his massive blade like they were nothing, but Tidus was in trouble, as half a dozen had surrounded him. One lunged forward which he managed to parry but it allowed another to lunge forward and plow into his back. Gasping in pain his sword flew from his hands as he was sent skidding to the ground. Trying to get up, his weapon was now behind the Fiends as they stalked towards him licking thier lips.
"Damit!" He cursed looking to see if he could retrieve his blade.
A Dingo then roared and lunged forward towards him...
"Noble Stream!"
A second later the fiends were consumed in a swirling energy blast that destroyed them all! Looking into the sky, Kaiser gave him a thumbs up and a nod at a distance.
"Stop trying to one up me!" Tidus shouted up with a smirk.
"Idiot" I smirk under my breath" Now its my move!" I say drawing. "I activate Card of Demise! Since my hand is empty, I now draw until I hold five cards!" I say keeping drawing. "How about an extra few draws? I now activate Pot of Greed to draw twice more!"
Fanning my hand out I look to my cards, trying to form a plan.
"Ok, I managed to avoid massive damage with the Scarecrow, but I wont get away with that next turn if he decides to use his Wisel Top again. I might have to bait it out with bigger targets to absorb, and hopefully my Skill Prisoner's other effect can take it by suprise"
"I special summon Kaiser Synchron as a level five monster!" I declare while also discarding and putting another card on my duel disk. "I also normal summon Quillbolt Hedgehog!"

While my Synchron monster returned with less stars this time, the new monster was exactly as its name inferred. It was a small brown hedgehog with spikes on its back, that seemed to be more metal like an actual bolt.
"Continuous Trap activate.." The bot said. "Asterisk Seal... A player that Synchro Summons takes one thousand points of damage..."
"Tch!" I say mentally cursing. "This thing has my Synchro's backed completely into a corner! I could use Black Feather Dragon to avoid the damage..." I think looking up at the monster. "But I only have its effect for so many times, and I would exceed that if I want to try and destroy that thing... looks like ill have to take some damage"
"Its time for a Synchro Summon!" I declare
Kaiser Synchron once again became the Synchro Rings that the hedgehog entered as the Synchro process began once more. The mark on my arm had now changed back to a claw shape but smaller than the one before, as a young girl dressed in a waist jacket and shorts appeared. Her clothes looked white but had a clear pink hue to them while her hair was green and sported two ponytails on the front that made them look like rabbit ears. On her shoulder looked like a brown fuzz ball, but I recognised it as Kuribon, a duel monster. Smiling at me with her eyes closed she put her hands on her heart and spoke.
"Our feelings and wishes are with you Kaiser!" She said as Kuribon also echoed it with a squeak.
With a smile to Luna I throw my arm into the air as I called for her monster to appear.
"Divine light of protection from on high, shine down upon us and bring us eternal life! Synchro Summon! Koutanseyo! (A regal birth!) Ancient Fairy Dragon!"
Despite its Dragonic name, this Dragon was more serpent like in appearance, its body was blue in colour with a long swishing tail leading towards it chest that was covered in a golden chestplate. Its wings and ears were similiar in appearance looking almost like butterly wings as it extended its long thin arms and roared behind its red headress.

Ancient Fairy Dragon quickly turned red ready to blast me while the bot's trap card generated a small cyclone that twisted across the field towards me, however all were quickly inhaled by Black Feather Dragon who intercepted both instances of effect damage.

"I use the effect to summon Kaiser Synchron once more as a level five monster! Further, when a tuner monster is on the field, Quilbolt Hedgehog revives itself from the graveyard at a cost of being banished when it leaves the field! Now come back my two monsters!"

As my two monsters once again appeared side by side on the field, the mark on my arm changed once more as it now become the shape of a heart, as an almost identicle person to Luna appeared, but this person was male and his clothes had a blue hue as opposed to hers. While he looked almost the same his hair only had a single ponytail like appendage that was more wild and unkept. Giving a toothy wide smile, he thrust a clenched fist foward
"Go go go Kaiser! Smash the Machine Emperor!"
Grinning back at Leo, my monsters were already commencing the synchro process once more as I began to chant.
"The power of our strength and courage will come together to protect the world's peace! Synchro Summon! Ai to Seigi no Shisha! (Envoy of love and justice!) Power Tool Dragon!"
In a blast of pyreflies enveloped in light, the new Dragon was mechanical in nature, covered in bright yellow armor with yellow wings and silver armor intersections between body parts, while its right arm had a massive blue claw across its wrist and the right had a large drill, living up to its name.

Power Tool Dragon quickly shot the red energy beam at me that was intercepted by Black Feather Dragon, however the cylcone by the bot's trap card this time was not stopped and throwing my arms up to defend I felt like my insides were being ripped out as I was tossed around it the cylcone. Falling from the sky, I quickly correct my descent to fly back up level with the bot.

"Analysis.." The bot said. "Black Feather Dragon's effect self destructs the monster if its attack points reach zero by its own effect... Taking Astrerisk's Seal Effect damage means it is not destroyed... Opponents plan is to weaken Wisel Infinity by weakening its parts..."
Mentally I curse once again realising the bot had indeed seen through my plan, but what was worse was if it had seen through my plan, was its final face down card a way to counter it? I realise that at this point I had to take that chance since I had weakened Black Feather Dragon to this point.
"Black Burst!" I simply declare
Black Feather Dragon launched its attack once again across the field as the bot was engulphed in the black void of electricity, however a second later it dissappeared as a card was face up on its field.
"Counter Trap.." The bot said. "Infinity Deflector... When an effect or battle that would inflict two thousand or more effect or battle damage would occur with an 'Infinity' monster on the field, it is negated and I gain the damage as life points... Then number of Synchro Monsters on opponents field are counted... For each one, a trap card from deck is set and can be activated this turn... Four Synchro monsters currently on opponents field, however two card zones remaining at time of cards activation... Two trap cards set from deck..."
Three set cards suddenly appeared on the field as the bot set it from its deck as I could have physically slapped myself at what had happened. As the situation was now worse, but all I could do now was try and make the best of it as Black Feather Dragon was now back at full strength without its counters.

"I activate the effect of Power Tool Dragon! It adds a random equip spell from my deck to my hand!" I say, and as I said it, a card seems to pop out of my deck which I quickly activate.
"I equip Power Tool Dragon with Double Tool C&D! Now battle! Power Tool Dragon! Attack Wisel Infinity! Crafty Break!"
Power Tool Dragon shot across the field as it suddenly was outfitted with a buzzsaw and what looked like a digger drill on its arms instead of its previous weapons, and bringing the drill down towards Wisel, I call out.
"My equip spell negates the monsters effect it targets and grants Power Tool Dragon one thousand attack points! Meaning Wisel Inifity looses all of its points!"

"Skiel Carrier Five effect.." The bot said. "Once per turn, an attack is negated..."
From the center section of Wisel, it immediately shot out five wires from its back which sprouted to form the points of a pentagon. They then charged up creating a green energy shield that Power Tool Dragon crashed its weapon arm into before flying off in frustration.
"Damnit!" I think. "I wanted to save this for his turn, but I cant let this attack be negated!" "I activate the effect of Skill Prisoner in my graveyard! I banish it from the graveyard in order to render Skiel Carrier unable to negate Power Tool Dragons attack with its effect!"
The shield surrounding Wisel seemed to dim as its wires retracted into its back, while Power Tool Dragon re-launched its attack without a seconds notice.
"Granel Guard effect.." The bot began "Attack target becomes a Synchro Monster in my spell and trap zone..."
With a gasp of suprise, I see Red Demon's Dragon emerge from the chest plate of Wisel, still entangled in its web of tentacles as Power Tool Dragon was still racing towards it. Bringing its weapon down hard, Power Tool Dragon struck Red Demon's Dragon who had brought its arms up to defend itself, however was sent flying backwards in a massive explosion.
"Granel Guard's secondary effect.. Once a turn a monster is not destroyed in battle... Red Demon's Dragon's battle destruction is negated..."
With a roar of defiance, Red Demon's Dragon flapped its wings and stopped itself crashing into Wisel Infinity as it was held in place by the infernal robot.
"But ill have you take the damage!" I declare

"Now attack again!" I declare with a flourish of hand.
Power Tool Dragon surged forward with renewed strength to once again strike Red Demon's Dragon head on who this time exploded in a cry of pain while weakening the bots defence's substantially.

With a roar from a fiery explosion of flame, Red Demon's Dragon flapped its wings as it appeared on the field, and it began to roar louder, clearly not having enjoyed its time as a captive of Wisel Infinity.

With a high pitched shriek, the serpentine dragon ascended higher into the air and extended its wings fully as they charged up with a yellow energy that arced out creating an almost vibrating effect in the air that centered on Wisel Top that seemed to contort under the attack and implode before finally exploding in a shower of pyreflies.

As the flower like Dragon launched its signature attack once again, the blade arm of Wisel was vaporised instantly, damaging the remaining robot even further.

"Now I could just finish it now" I smirk with my confidence renewed. "But everyone gets a turn to smash your Emperor! Black Feather Dragon! Attack Skiel Carrier Three! Noble Stream!"
The bird like dragon launched its dark energy blast which smashed into the lower area of the robot leaving its central plate and its defending arm left, which were now looking rather damaged after the constant attacks.

"Red Demons Dragon! Satisfy your rage and take your revenge! Absolute Powerforce!"
With a loud roar of delight, Red Demon's Dragon charged up a flaming right hook and threw itself across the field directly at Wisel Infinity and planted its fist directly into its chest plate which contorted under such an attack. Withdrawing its fist, Red Demons Dragon flew backwards as Wisel and its remaining part were eveloped in the explosion of its destruction, quickly followed by the Duel Bot and the last of its life points.

Stopping in mid air, I raise my hand in triumph as the roar of my five new Synchro Monsters echo round the stadium in my triumph.
However it was short lived...
Looking forward as the explosion was clearing, I could see a glowing green sphere starting to appear, and suddenly the cloud cleared and the chest plate of Wisel Infinity was still there, good as new with the Duel Bot floating below it. I quickly checked my gear in shock as I indeed saw that its life points were at zero. The bot quickly spot in answer to my question as I noticed a trap card was face up on its field.
"Trap Card.. Undying Infinity... When my life points would reach zero when controlling an Infinity monster, I do not loose the duel... all parts that were on the field that turn are banished from the field and graveyard and thier 'Five' versions are special summoned from the hand, deck or graveyard... Disregarding summoning conditions..."
I was stunned. I couldnt have won regardless of how I had attacked this turn, which is no wonder why the Bot had allowed itself to take all that damage without making any form of counter attack. I realise there is nothing I can do as the new parts of the Machine Emperor began to appear, each looking more lethal than the last while increasing the power of Wisel once more.

"Wisel Infinity is not destroyed it battle this turn.." The bot continued. "But when it leaves the field, I loose the duel..."
I grit my teeth in frustration realising now that I have to plough through that Goliath once again with all new upgraded parts. Whats worse, judging by the way the effects had been last time, it was probabally now worse considering each part upgarde was significantly stronger than the one before it.
"I set three cards face down and end my turn" I declare.
"Draw.." The bot said commencing its turn.
"Trap card open! Tuner Blast! I send Unknown Synchron from my deck to the graveyard, and destroy a monster on your field equal to its level! I choose Wisel Infinity!"
A ghostly image of a small black metal orb with an eye in the center appeared on the field before it propelled itself foward towards Wisel Infinity, however Wisel Top quickly responded as its slitted eyes glowed red and blasted the trap card with an energy bolt destroying it as per its effect. The Bot didnt even announce the effect before continuing its move.
"Wisel Infinity effect... Synchro Absorber... Target, Red Demons Dragon..."
Wisel's chest plate opened again as its tentacles shot across the field towards Red Demon's Dragon once again, but this time I smiled.
"I baited your effect out!" I declare. "Trap card activate! Soul Defence! I send my Soul Monster, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to negate an effect against a monster I control, so your Wisel will have to go without its effect this turn!"
In a flash of blue light, my soul monster appeared on the field between Wisel and Red Demon's Dragon, and with a mighty roar and flap of its wings the tentacles were repelled before Blue-Eyes dissapeared.
"Wisel Top Five effect.." The Bot cotinued. "Once per turn, I can add a spell or trap card with the words 'Machine Emperor' in its name from my deck to my hand..." It declared as a card popped out of its deck and it added it quickly.
"Continuous Spell Activate.. Machine Emperor Prominence... All Machine Emperor Parts on the field attack points are doubled..."
"Oh come on!" I cry out
The sky above the stadium suddenly went dark as the clouds seemed to gather together as a violent lightning storm broke out. But it was no ordinary lighting storm, as the lightning bolts began to strike the Machine Emperor as its various parts stats increased alonside the central Infinity monster.

I couldnt even react before the turtle arm of Granel Guard opened and shot out a black mist across the field to smother my Synchro Monsters, who all began to wither under its effects as thier points dropped almost instantly.

The stadium once again took another turn as the lightning storm seemed to not just affect the duel, but the stadium and Luca as a whole. Lighting strikes began to strike the buildins indiscrimantley as well as some of the Fiends in the stadium who were vaporised into pyreflies upon contact. The people of Luca were screaming and running for cover to avoid certain death. Tidus jumped back with a shriek at the lighting strike that nearly hit him before looking up into the air.
"Hurry up and finish it!" He bellowed
"Wisel Infinity.. attack Ancient Fairy Dragon..." It declared as Wisel brought back its blade arm in anticipation.
"Not this time! As Power Tool Dragon is equipped with Double Tool C&D you have to attack it first!" I reply, as Wisel changed targets, however I quickly continued. "Trap activate! Scrap-Iron Scarecrow! I now negate your attack!"
"Wisel Attack Five effect.. when an attack is declared, it negates and destroys a trap card... deals piercing battle damage... and all damage inflicted is doubled..."
Wisel Infinity shot out a green energy bolt from its chest that obliterated my trap card, and I realise that it was over.
I had lost...
Power Tool Dragon was slashed from head to foot by the foul robot and cried out in pain before being engulphed in an explosion. Despite the fact that I had lost I wouldnt let me monster go down and quickly slotted the equip spell in the graveyard to prevent its destruction with Power Tool's effect, before I shielded myself from the explosion that was rapidly approaching. As the blast hit me I was thrown backwards higher into the air spinning out from the force of the impact, but I managed to once again correct my flight, but then I realised something was amiss.

I actually blinked several times at my life point counter before realising something was wrong once the flames had dissipated, however the bot quickly answered before I spoke.
"Machine Emperor Prominence.. all damage is capped at one thousand... however, Wisel Infinity can attack this turn equal to its remaining parts... but cannot attack more than once on the next battle phase..."
I could feel the sweat starting to run down my face as I realise the implications of this. I could last the turn, however I would loose every one of my monsters as well as take a massive amount of damage. I look to my one remaining face down card and realise that its useless right now but I could make a counter attack with it next turn... If I had the cards to do it.
"Wisel Infinity.." The bot declared. "Attack Red Demon's Dragon..."
Without missing a beat, the massive robot brought back its blade arm and crossed the field in seconds to slash Red Demon's Dragon who roared in agony before being engluphed in flame as I flung my arms up to protect myself from the explosion.

"Attack Black Feather Dragon.. Attack Ancient Fairy Dragon... Attack Black Rose Dragon..."
The punishing attack continued as Wisel systematically sliced through my three Synchro monsters with fury who all roared in pain before they exploded. I was thrown around the sky trying my best to keep flying from the constant explosions of thier demise. But thankfully Wisel had used all its attacks this turn.

"Oh for Yevon's sake!" I cry out again at such a development

Even with half stats, Wisel was still more than a match for Power Tool Dragon as it lunged across the field to strike at it. Bracing myself once again for another attack, I didnt notice at first but the Heart mark on my arm started to glow brighter and in a flash of crimson light Leo was once again by my side.
"What are you doing Kaiser!?" He asked. "Its too early to give up now!"
It was then I saw he held two cards in his hand, the first was Power Tool Dragon, but the second was something different. I realised what he was meaning as I began to counter.
"I activate the effect of Tuner Blast in my graveyard! On the turn it is sent to the graveyard, I can tune one monster on my field with the Tuner monster I sent to the graveyard by sending a monster of equal level to the graveyard! Sending my Blue-Eyes White Dragon to the graveyard So I can tune Power Tool Dragon with Unknown Synchron!"
Dodging nimbly out of the way of Wisel's attack, Power Tool Dragon ascended high into the sky along with the ghostly form of Uknown Synchron as the Synchro Process continued once more.
"The Courage and Power to protect the world's future is a Revolution! Synchro Summon! Shinkaseyo! (Evolve!) Life Stream Dragon!"
Power Tool Dragons armor was eveloped in flame as it slowly began to explode off the machine exposing the form underneath. It was a brown skinned dragon bulging with musle and having a long neck with what looked like a bone spear attached to its right arm. With a roar as it broke free of its bonds, the true form of the Sixth Signer Dragon was revealed.

Opening its wings with a roar, Life Stream Dragon seemed to emit a mist towards me...
"Granel Guard Five effect.. Once per turn the effects of all current Synchro Monsters on the field is negated..."
Firing a beam of light from its eyes once more hitting Life Stream Dragon square in the chest, its mist stopped as it was rocked in the air. A second later Wisel had crossed the field and slashed into the new Synchro Dragon and destroyed it.

The explosion rocked the field as I was taken by suprise and thrown high into the air, but in a twist of fate as I tried to steady myself, a lightning bolt struck me square in the back jarring my body as I cried out in pain. Feeling my body going limp, my wings would not move as I begin to fall towards the stadium below.
"Its over" I think as I fall, the wind lapping across my face. "I have nothing left"
The echo of the raging battle in the stadium below was defening, but I couldnt hear it as I fell. I couldnt hear the shouts of my friends as they saw me fall, I was retreating into my own mind.
"Red Demons Dragon, Black Rose Dragon, Ancient Fairy Dragon, Black Feather Dragon, Life Stream Dragon... that machine beat them all... All the Signer Dragons... defeated"
"Kaiser" A voice spoke, as white light began to assault my eyes.
I realised I was no longer falling, infact, I was standing up. I was inside my soul room... and with a gasp I see a figure walking towards me. A blue jacket with a black shirt and odd red symbol on it underneath, with dark trousers and a wild spiked hair style. But it was the face... a yellow mark across his left cheek and his eyes, full of life and desire despite the stern look on his face.
"Yusei?!" I say, almost not believing it.
"Kaiser... I was once like you. You fear the Machine Emperor" Yusei spoke.
"I dont fear anything" I say tutting.
"Yes you do, even if you dont want to admit it... but you can over come it... break your limits" Yusei says turning and walking away
"What?" I say puzzled as a bright light filled my vision
"Clear Mind" Yusei said, almost in a whisper.
I was then back in the waking world, feeling myself falling as the roar of the battle in the stadium filled my ears. Steadying myself as I fall, I flap my wings to slow my speed as I ascend back to face the Duel Bot as we circle the stadium. It was a tough opponent, it had no emotion, so I couldnt provoke it into making mistakes, and despite using all of my new Synchro monsters, my field was empty... but I knew, there was infact one more Synchro monster I hadnt used yet... I had to summon it!
"Draw!" I declare with a flourish. "I play Graceful Charity!" I say before drawing and discarding. "Next up is Pot of Avarice! By returning five monsters in my graveyard to my deck, I can draw two cards! So the three Tuningwares and my Cyber Dragon's I just discarded are returned to the deck so I can draw!"
Looking at the three cards remaining in my hand, I realise that I have a move to make as I proceed.
"I discard one card from my hand to special summon Kaiser Synchron once more from the graveyard with its effect and increase its level by two!"
Once more, the tuner monster I had created appeared on the field, ready to do its work once again.

The small robot appear on the field once more as its scarf fluttered in the storm around it.

As the monsters began the synchro sequence once more, a bright red dragons head appeared on my right arm! However, Yusei did not appear, but I realised that he did not need to, as he had already shown me the way.
"Clustering wishes combine to become my new shining star! Become the path to light the way! Synchro Summon! Hishou seyo! (Take flight), power of our bonds! Stardust Dragon!"
In a blast of light, the form of Stardust Dragon began to appear. As in its name sparkles of Stardust echoed its arrival as it opened its massive white wings as its body appeared on the field. It was mostly white in colour with a blue scaly chest and a long neck to its head. Purple orbs covered its chest and shoulders as it roared as its eyes glowed for a moment on its arrival.

Yusei's Dragon mark on my arm began to glow brighter as once more my hands moved of thier own accord, but I did not stop them, for I knew Yusei was with me in this move.
"I now draw since I used Tuningware as a synchro material!" I say while drawing "Next I activate Dead Synchron! By banishing monsters in my graveyard I can synchro summon with them! Tuningware and Unknown Synchron are banished!"
"Clustering wishes invoke the horizon of speed world! Become the path to light the way! Now appear! Kibo no chikara! (The power of hope) Synchro Tuner, Formula Synchron!"
The new monster looked like a humanoid man with a helmet that was inside a Formula One car. From his torso from his front a multi coloured racing car was there complete with wheels that revved upon its summoning.

"When synchro summoned, I draw one card from Formula Synchron!" I say drawing.
"Ive done all I can Kaiser" I hear Yusei's voice say. "The door is open for you... but you have to walk through it"
"Do what?" I think in reply. "I dont know what im supposed to do Yusei!"
But he was gone... I gritted my teeth, Stardust Dragon couldnt beat the Machine Emperor, and none of the cards I had drawn earlier would help me. Worse still, I had pretty much put Stardust on a plate for the Machine Emperor to absorb next turn, and I couldnt so much as attack it as its various effects would stop me dead in my tracks
"I end my turn!" I say sadly
"Draw.." The bot said "Wisel's effect... Synchro Absorber... target... Stardust Dragon..."
Wisel opened is chest plate once more as its tendrils emerged to take Stardust Dragon...
"I activate Soul Defence once again!"
But it was instantly stopped by Blue-Eyes who roared from its ghostly image to send the tendrils packing.
"Analysis.. Players cannot have more than 3 copies of a card in the deck... Three Blue-Eyes White Dragon's now in graveyard... no more targets for Soul Defence... Activate equip spell Effect Enhance... Giving Wisel ability to use effect twice a turn..."
"What?!" I gasp
"Wisel's effect.. Synchro Abosrber... target... Stardust Dragon..." The bot repeated.
As the Machine Emperor's chest opened once again as the tendrils emerged to take Stardust Dragon, my mind was racing.
"How could I let this happen?! Blue-Eyes sacrificed itself to save Stardust Dragon... and I still cant save it?! What the hell am I doing!" I think
For a moment I see the tendrils racing at Stardust, but then its form changed to that of Blue-Eyes! Gasping for a moment, I realise its a trick of my mind, trying to distort my view to make me loose control and mess up. Taking a deep breath, I focus purely on the duel infront of me, clearing out all distractions as the battle sounds below began to fade.
"No" I think. "There is always a way! You will not take Stardust Dragon!" I shouted as my body glowed a bright blue light

"Take as much strength as you need!" Crow said
"Make sure you win!" Jack added.
"Our wishes are with you" Akiza said.
"Our Bonds will protect you and light the way" Yusei finished.
"I understand... your all here for me in spirit through your monsters!"

As I feel a new energy beginning to flow into my body once again, I feel the gentle wind on my skin as we fly around the stadium. I close my eyes and take in the feeling... Seconds Later I open my eyes, and I was no longer in Luca. I was floating in a hazy world, naked as the day as I was born, there was no one here, except the wind on my skin... it didnt feel cold... but was warm and inviting.

Somewhere... deep inside Kaiser's soul room was a small pool... a single drop of water fell into the pool causing it to ripple, and out of that pool arose a pedestal with an orb on it... it was glowing a soft clear haze.
"Clear Mind!" I suddenly say back in the duel, knowledge now flooding my being. "No time to think! Just act! Level eight Synchro Monster Stardust Dragon and level two Synchro Tuner Formula Synchron I tune!"
"Analysis.." The bot said quickly. "Formula Synchron has an effect to synchro summon during opponents turn... Wisel's effect will loose its target..."
"Lets fly!" I say to my monsters
Stardust Dragon and Formula Synchron started to ascend towards the sky as I followed them quickly after, all three of us gaining tremendous speed. As we accelerated we seemed to pass through Synchro Rings many time as our forms were bathed in red light.
"As the crystal dreams cluster, we fly through the door of evolution! Become the path to light the way!"
All three of us were almost to the atmosphere, the stadium now a mere spec with the speed we had attained, the air was getting thin. It was now or never!
"ACCEL SYNCHRO!"
And seconds later, entering into a green energy vortex they were gone... However a few seconds later the vortex had reappeared above the stadium as now only two shapes were emerging!
"Shoraiseyo! (Be Born!) Shooting Star Dragon!"
As Kaiser descended at full speed to pursue the duel Bot around the area, Shooting Star Dragon flew at incredible speed around the stadium before spinning high into the air and extending its wings... as it did, a bright light shone down onto the city of Luca dispelling the storm created by Wisel Infinity. The fiends in the stadium began to roar at the light, as the power of Shooting Star Dragon began to vaporise them one by one! When all the fiends were destroyed, Shooting Star Dragon finally settled down onto the field gliding opposite the Machine Emperor.

With the threat of the Fiends neutralised, the remaining citizens of Luca and combatants against the Fiends were now all drawn to looking at the light in the sky, and the form of Shooting Star Dragon. It seemed to radiate miniature stars that floated down to the stadium almost like snow fall. It was white in colour and looked like Stardust Dragon was covered in armor. Tidus and the others had since regrouped together as they all too were now able to watch the duel.
"What in Yevon is that!?" Wakka asked suddenly
"An Accel Synchro monster" Tara said quietly. "I thought it was a legend" she added.
"Not that much of a legend!" Tidus declared.
"Maybe" Yuna interjected. "But its still not as strong as that Machina"
"He's already won" Lulu said suddenly drawing the attention of the crowd.
"How do you know?" Yuna asked.
"Legend states that certain Synchro monster's have power beyond all that of the other Synchro's. Clearly it is something that Kaiser needed to win at such a desperate moment"
"I hope your right Lulu" Tara said.
"Analysis.." The bot began again. "Unknown Synchro monster... no data available... No countermeasures available... No available plan except to attack... Wisel Infinity, attack Shooting Star Dragon..."
The fearsome machine monster once again drew back its bladed arm to try and slice at Shooting Star Dragon, but in a flash of light Shooting Star Dragon dissappeared from the field!
"Shooting Star Dragons effect allows it to be banished when an attack is declared! When I do so, it negates your attack! Meaning your Machine Emperor is out of luck!"
"End turn.." The bot said.
"Then my move!" I say drawing.
The Dragon mark on my arm started to glow brighter with power, as I knew now what I had to do.
"I activate the effect of Shooting Star Dragon! Each turn, I can reveal the top five cards of my deck, and for each tuner monster revealed, Shooting Star Dragon attacks that many times this turn!"
"Analysis.. Potential five attacks... Probabaility of five tuners being revealed very low..."
"Well lets find out!" I say placing my hand on my deck. "Everyone... lend me your power!" I think
The Dragon head glowed brighter still as I felt the familiar rush of power running through my being. The Dragon head then dissappeared, it had moved to a smaller version on the right side of my chest! Drawing my first card with a flourish, I turn it over.
"Ive draw a tuner monster! Morphtronic Lantron!"
As I drew a heart appeared near the dragons head! Unfazed I draw again
"Second tuner! Spore!"
A claw joined the others!
"Third tuner! Twilight Rose Knight!"
Followed by the second claw!
"Fourth tuner! Black Feather Gale The Whirlwind!"
A tail followed!
"Miniscule odds overcome.." The Bot said
Shooting Star Dragon roared in anticipation as I closed my eyes and prepared to draw.
"Now the time for my final draw! The draw of my Synchro future!"
Drawing, I held the card high in the air.
"Fifth tuner! Dark Resonator!"

In a surge of light, the Six Signer Dragons appeared once again on the field in ghostly form along with thier owners who brought thier arms across thier chests as thier Signer marks shined brightly.

Shooting Star Dragon transformed to look like a futuristic plane before roaring and began to glow with a rainbow effect as it split into five copies of itself! The first one shot forward heading for the Machine Emperor Wisel itself.
"Skiel Attack Five negates the attack.." The bot said
The Shooting Star Dragon passed by the Machine Emperor and dissappeared as the second copy moved to attack.

"Granel Guard Five effect.. Once a turn is not destroyed"...
The Granel section took the attack on its arm, generating a shield and protecting itself as Shooting Star Dragon bounced off.
"That effect is no longer valid! Shooting Star Dragon! Attack it again!"
Shooting Star Dragon this time won the fight, as Granel Guard was destroyed leaving the Robot with one arm short!

Shooting Star Dragon went in for the kill on the second target and hit its mark dead on, leaving the robot without either arms

"Now for the final attack! Shooting Star Dragon! Attack Wisel Infinity!"
Shooting Star Dragon roared as it went for the heart of the infernal robot, punching straight through it as the rest of the robot exploded taking the duel bot with it! A massive cheer errupted from the city of Luca at my victory. Shooting Star Dragon flew towards the sky as it began to dissappear into pyreflies, while the Signers and thier Dragons were still there. Giving them all a smile I bow.
"See you all around" I say
"You will" Yusei replies smiling.
A second later they were all gone, leaving me alone in the sky. Looking down I see the others waving to me, and with a grin of satisfaction I began my descent towards my friends.
Synchro Monsters have arrived! Thats now every type of summon that has been released so far in the TCG. Pendulum Summons might occur at one point, but its not something I have planned right now, so may be later on or in the sequel.
Also, I dont own Yu-Gi-Oh or the insert song 'Clear Mind' which was an absolutely excellent twist I loved about the Japanese Anime, and Shooting Star Dragon's prescence is not the same without it, which is why I decided to insert it.
