Siri: Dragonwolf doesn't own Yugioh zexal or Bleach. Only the o.c. except Tj.
Chapter 20: Altaira Descends
'I now regret not joining the boy's training tournament' Siri thought with a frown as she watch Rio, Tori and Cathy shop. To make sure that they were ready for the last two Elder Barians the boy held a training style tournament. They had asked the girls in their group the chance to train but the offer had been refused. Siri didn't fell like duel and wanted to relax. It didn't work out for her. Rio had won a vote to ether go shopping or go to the arcade, shopping won. Needless to say Siri was losing her temper fast. "Can we go back now" she said with a whine.
"Why" Rio asked looking over her shoulder.
"While I know shopping for clothes is important" Siri said "Just not this much" she finished with a shout and holding up everything the others bought to prove her point.
"Are you implying that we have too much" Rio challenged.
"Yes and no" Siri was more calmer then before. "Yes is because getting this much right now is more then enough. The no is that we always need more clothes. Plus I'm more of a tomboy, but I'm not putting that into account" she add.
"Yet you did wear a skirt" Rio muttered to herself before saying "How about two more stores then we can go back"
"Two each I take it" Siri said to which she got three nodded "That is it. If you try to do one more then two I will freeze you and dragged you back" she half growled. Rio lead the others to the last stores.
Altaira sat the lunch area near one of the many jewelry stores she owned in the Heartland mall. She wanted to be alone to mourn, Vegaus aloud it. Altaira look around at the many humans around her ' Human have an easier time then Barian' she thought.
"Hello sweetie" A male's voice said to her right. Altaira look and saw a young man about 20 with cinnamon color hair and blue eyes. He clothes consisted of a white dress shirt, black slacks and brown boots. "Why the long face?"
"Go away" Altaira snapped look away from the boy.
"That is a little mean" the human said with a small whine.
"Well when you lose someone close to you, see how you act" Altaira snarled at the human.
"Alright you made your point" The boy said with raised hands "I"m sorry, how about a duel my brother always got me to duel when I was down."
"I guess so" Altaira said sounding unsure if a duel would really help her. "What is your name?"
"Mark" Mark said "And yours?"
"Altaira"

"Let's duel"
Cathy look up from her cat toys having hear something that interested her. She heard ' Did you hear the owner Altaira is here and dueling' " Altaira?" Cathy mewed and went to find the others.
"May I go first" Mark asked. His duel gazer and pod, while were the basic type, were pure white.
"Sure"Altaira said. She was using a basic duel gazer and pod.
"I draw" Mark said then look at his cards "I play the field spell card Heartless Land" the lunch area turn into a black desert, with bone white trees and a crescent moon.
' This must ether give a power boost or an ability to his monsters' Altaira thought.
"For a bit of fun" Mark said with a smirk "I wont tell you was my spell card does"
"That is fine I will find out what it does in time" Altaira said.
"Now I summon Heartless Warrior #6 in Attack mode" Mark said placing the monster card on his pod.
[ A blur hair and eyed man wearing a white hakama with a black belt, a white open jacket that show his chest. There was a hole in his abdomen and the most disturbing part was the predatory jawbone on his right cheek( Atk- 2600, Def- 1600, level 4, Light Attribute)]
[ Heartless Warrior #6Atk points: 2600- 2700]
"That's your monster a warrior type" Altaira said expecting a beast type at lest. "And it gets a 100 point boost"
"That is most people reaction. They think I use beast type monsters" Mark explain. "I equip the spell card Soul Cutter- Panther king it give my warrior more atk point as well as def points"
[ Heartless Warrior #6: atk 2700- 3300, def 1600-1800]
'This boy must use a beat down deck' Altaira thought seeing the monster's high attack points.
"That ends my turn" Mark said.
"You must have a beat down deck" Altaira said drawing her card "I haven't face one like that in a while. I summon Limestone Rock Cat"
[ A cat made of limestone appeared with a mew( Atk- 1300, Def-1200, Level 3, Earth Attribute)]
"Well that a cute monster" Mark admitted while hiding the torn look of ether laughing like a maniac or a frown of disgust.
"Looks can be deceiving" Altaira said "I place two card face down and end my turn" the two card appeared in front of her.
"Your monster doesn't have enough Attack points" Mark said drawing his card "I'll attack your cat with my warrior" Heartless Warrior #6 grind then jump and drove the point of his sword towards the rock cat. To everyone's surprised the sword was the one that broke.
"What is it Cathy?" Tori asked as they followed the cat girl.
"I heard the name Altaira" Cathy said "And there is a duel" she pointed to the duel that the elder barian was in.
Siri put the bags down before looking at the duel "Dam, not good" she whispered. "We have to leave before she finds us, that is Altaira"
"Wait shouldn't we watch and she how she duel?" Rio asked.
"If you wanted that then you should have stayed for the training tournament" Siri growled quietly "But fine we will stay" she then stepped behind a large man.
"What" Mark said with wide eyes as he saw the sword brake.
"My spell card Rock Armor stops your attach" Altaira explained( her card had armor made out of some type of rock.) "And you take half your monster's original attack points as damage."
[ Mark life points: 4000- 2700]
"I see" Mark said recovering "I end my turn"
"It is my turn" Altaira said drawing her card "I summon Icelandite Rock Dog"
[ A rottweiler like dog made out of icelandite rock appeared with a bark( Atk -1400, Def- 1000, level 3, Earth Attribute)]
"Are you really trying to duel Ms. Altaira "Mark asked sounding exasperated.
"I'm this is how I duel" Altaira explain with the voice that held a mother like tone. "Next because I have an Igneous and sedimentary type rock monsters out. I can summon a metamorphic rock type rock monster here is Quarztite Rock Eagle"
[ A eagle made out Quarztite rock flew around before landing on the ground( Atk- 1000, Def- 1200, Level 3, Earth Attribute)]
"Three level 3 monster all of which are Earth Attribute" Mark observed "You planing on Xyz summon"
"Yes I am" Altaira said the she started to chant "When the three type of rocks compress into one. The one that comes out rules over all Xyz summon Queen of Rock"
[ A women with clothes made out of the three types of rocks appeared( Atk- 2000, Def- 2100, Rank 3, Earth Attribute)]
"Is that her ace or her number" Tori asked Siri.
"No and yes" The half barian said "It's complicated. That is her number but at the same time it is not. Her number have the same name, rank, and effect." she explained
"So it is her fake ace version" Rio guess. "What she uses when facing some one that is not worthy of facing her number"
"I end my turn" Altaira said.
"Is the reason why you're ending your turn have to do with your monster's effects?" Mark asked.
"No"
"I draw then" Mark drew his card "I play the trap card Sword Release. By tributing Heartless Warrior #6 I can summon Heartless Warrior #6- Panther King" the warrior bust into light then reappeared drastically changed.
[ The warrior now had longer hair and was wearing a white one piece segmented armor. He also had cat like ears, tail, claw and paws. The white jawbone was now a white headband( Atk- 2600, Def- 1600, Level 5, Light Attribute)]
[ Heartless Warrior #6 - Panther King 2600- 2700]
"Now I need to explain somethings "Mark said raising three fingers " First because I tribute Soul Cutter- Panther king I can retrieve a spell card from the graveyard and the card is your Rock Armor." He put down a finger "Second having use Heartless Warrior #6 to summon Heartless Warrior #6- Panther King he can attack you directly, which i'm going to do" Mark put down the next finger and the now beast -like warrior slashed Altaira.
[Altaira: 4000- 1300]
"Last thing is the second effect of my trap card" Mark put down his last finger "As long as this card is on the field. My monsters that are summon this way can not be destroyed by battle one per turn"
"The reason you have that card's effect is because most duelist only use one card to attach or defend, right "Altaira guess "The cards being a Xyz monsters"
"Yes" Mark nodded "I actually don't have a Xyz monster. The only special card I have is a ritual monster"
"Good" Altaira said with a small smile "This world needs more people like you, Mark. I would like to see more of your monsters, but the duel will end this next turn"
"How, your monster doesn't have enough atk points" Mark said though the difference wasn't much "And I end my turn"
"Queen of Rocks's effect" Altaira explained "When I detach an overlay unit, I can destroy a spell or a trap card and any monsters summon by that card. The attack point that monster have when destroyed is damage to you" With that one of the rock type monster's overlay units went into her crown. Raising her left hand Queen of Rocks shot a energy beam at Mark's trap card destroying both it and the monster in one shot.

Winner Altaira
"Well I didn't expect that" Mark said getting up from the floor having been knock down by the explosion. "You are a great duelist and hope you fell better" he held out his hand to the barian.
Altaira look at it with wary in her eyes before holding out her own.
Mark shook her hand then turn to leave "Hope we met again" with that he left.
Altaira just stood there dumbfounded
"Let's go right now "Siri said picking up the bags, before pushing the other girls out of the mall. "She is distracted and I rwally don't want to duel her"
"Alright you don't have to push" Rio said starting to move away, but it wasn't fast enough. Rio had spoke to loud and Altaira heard her.
Looking to her right the older female saw the on;y female in the current emperors and Draken's daughter. "I might not know how to get Draken at the moment, but I can get her" Altaira said to herself and began to follow the girls.
Siri and the others got about half way back to Draken's house when Altaira catch them. "This is why we should have left when Cathy heard Altaira's name and we would be safe" Siri growled as ice started to form around the group.
Dragonwolf: Chapter end* looks around* it is safe

Mark: Well the Spirit Warrior cards have made their debate. the Queen of Rocks in this chapter being both Altaira's number/ace and not being is a reference to Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-v with Odd-Eyes Dragon later becoming Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
