Hiiii guys! God I am so sorry I haven't updated in like forever! But I really don't want to start explaining, so you can go straight to reading this next chapter.

I guess you could say this story has no timeline, because I like to write down the ideas that come in my head. And sometimes it might be confusing with the previous chapters, but try to forgive me J

So this is basically a bit of a time jump to the end of the school year. Emily, Hanna, spencer and aria are all graduating, but Alison needs to repeat senior year because she was behind on schoolwork after everything that has happened with A.

As Alison was standing beside her locker, so relieved that this is the last week of school. She saw this one beautiful brunette marching angrily towards her. She already knew what the conversation would be about.

"How long have you known?!" Emily almost yelled as soon as she got to her girl.

"about a week.." was all Alison could reply, she tried keeping a straight face so that Emily will think its not a big deal.

"and you didn't think about telling me? I had to find out from Erma the lunch lady that my girlfriend isn't graduating." Emily was really upset, mostly hurt. She hated when Alison would keep thing from her.

"I knew I shouldn't trust that woman" Alison let out a soft smile trying to lighten the mood.

"not the point Alison." Emily only called her that when she was really pissed off. So Ali realized this might be a little more complicated than she thought.

Now Emily felt a little bad for being so harsh with the blonde, she took a deep breath and softened her voice. "can you please just update me on what's going on?"

"the principal called me into the office, he said that because I missed too much on school they can't let me graduate unless I repeat senior year."

"so what are the options?"

"I have to tell them by the end of the week if I'm signing up for next year, or if I'm dropping out."

There was a long pause, they both just looked at each other, none of them new what to stay, but Emily knew Alison so well. She could read her face expressions and her thoughts like an open book.

"you're going to drop out" it was of a whisper that escaped Emily's mouth.

Alison just looked at the floor; she knows she disappointed her girlfriend. And honestly she hated that Emily knew her so well. She wasn't able to say anything, she just felt tired, tired of trying to keep up with everyone when she knows that there is no point, she will always stay behind when everyone will move forward. When Emily saw that Alison wasn't going to say anything she decided to speak again. "why would you do that? Why would you throw you futu-"

"I don't know" Emily couldn't even finish the sentence before she was cut off by Alison who finally lifted her head up, along with her voice.

You can say that Emily was a bit hurt at that moment but she knew that Alison was just nerves, she didn't mean to yell at her. Emily knew that at times like these, she is the one who needs to be strong.

"have you given them an answer yet?" Emily asked, like ignoring the fact that Alison practically yelled at her for trying to help.

Alison just shook her head.

"okay, so there is still time. We'll go home and talk about this."

"we're not gonna talk about this at home because there is nothing to talk about."

The voices were rising up again, but neither Alison nor Emily cared that some people where starring.

"don't you think this is a decision we both should make?"

"no! I have made up my mind." with that Alison just slammed her locker door and walked away without giving Emily a chance to reply.

Emily was so pissed, this decision will affect her life too. She thought to herself

How could Ali be so selfish. She wasn't going to let her give up on herself so quickly, just like Emily is not giving up on her.

LATER THAT DAY

Since the girls came back from school none of the had said anything. It was deferent than a silent treatment. Of course they were both mad at eachother, but not mad enough to not talk because of it. non of them knew what to say.

Emily was sitting in the kitchen table going through the mail. Most of it were bills, and some inappropriate invitations to strip clubs, or a private hooker. She thought to herself how things like that get into her mailbox, like people have no shame. What if a child was sent to get the mail by his parents and saw these? He would be terrified. Emily smiled to herself at the thought of a scared kid running home when something caught her attention. It was a small blue envelope that said "Danby University". Emily's heart skipped a beat, she felt her hands start to sweat. Her head was full of thoughts. She just stared at the letter.

"aren't you gonna open it?" she heard a very familiar voice that snapped her out of her thoughts. She was so focused on the letter she didn't even realize Alison walking in to get some water. Emily looked at her girlfriend who had this encouraging smile on her face. She slowly opened the envelope, trying to control her shaking. She read the words carefully, not wanting to miss anything.

"Its an invitation. To a scholarship tryout." Emily said, not lifting her head up from the writing.

"great! What does it mean?" Alison was really in the dark when is came to competitive swimming, all she knew was that Em always had to get to the finish line first.

"Well to make it simple. It means that they want me to come and swim, to check if I have potential, and then they will decide if I am worthy of a full scholarship."

"of course they will! That's awesome babe! When is the tryout?" Alison said excitedly.

"it doesn't matter, I'm not going." Emily said getting up and pushing the chair back to its place.

"what do you mean you're not going? Its crazy. You've been dreaming about this school for as long as I can remember" Alison was so surprised she felt her eyes go wide.

"I'm not gonna leave you behind" with that Emily walked over to her girlfriend and without even giving her a chance to reply, she added "I'm going to bed". Emily kissed Alison's lips, it was a short but meaningful kiss. She turned around and started walking out of the kitchen.

"Emily." Was all Alison could say, she felt helpless. Like there was nothing she could say that would change Emily's mind. "Emily, I'm talking to you". But Emily was already out the door and up the stairs.

"this isn't over!" Alison yelled, not in an angry voice, but loud enough for Emily to hear.

Alison couldn't fall asleep that night. So many thoughts running through her head. When she came in the bedroom Emily was already asleep so she knew she had to wait with the conversation until tomorrow. Crap. Tomorrow is Emily's last swim meet. As Alison remembered that tomorrow is a big day for her girlfriend, she knew she couldn't get her upset. So she decided to wait with the argument she planned on continuing in the morning.

But then the idea came up, she knew exactly how to get Emily that scholarship.
