Hi everyone! God thank you for over 50 reviews. It really means a lot to me.
I hope you like this chapter! I promise to update the soonest 3
Emily was sitting by the desk in her room. She had this huge essay to write and she was leaving for practice in an hour. It was just about 16:00 in the afternoon, she has been sitting at this exact same spot for over 4 hours. Not getting up for anything, not even to go to the bathroom. Alison has already gotten back from school but she knew that at this time, she should let Emily study. Their school year started off pretty great, Alison's plan worked and not a lot has changed in their relationship. They slept together every night, Emily was mostly in the house studying and if she wasn't, she was in practice. But now Emily was in exam season and she felt the stress on her shoulders. She wanted a break so bad, she wanted to go down and cuddle with Alison on the couch. She barely saw her blonde today, when Alison came home they kissed for like 3 seconds until Ali said it was best if Emily continued with her work.
But Emily couldn't concentrate. Her mind was wandering all over the place. She thought about the fact that she will be home late tonight, or the fact that Alison has practically rejected every single wedding planner they had met up with until now. Everything was just so stressful.
Just then something snapped her out of her thoughts. She felt something hit her head. Like a small ball. I'm probably just imagining. She told herself. But not long after that she saw something land on her desk. It was a tiny blue m&m. what the hell? As she turned her head towards the door she could only get a glimpse of the figure that was getting fast back to its hiding place. But she could recognize that blonde hair from miles away. She squinted her eyes towards the door waiting for someone to show up. After waiting long enough she slowly turned her gaze back to her computer. She pretended to type, of course not paying any attention to what the hell she was writing, it was all in order to confuse the enemy.
Emily heard a soft giggle coming from the hall. When she felt another m&m hit her head.
As fast as the wind she rose from her chair, even surprising herself a little bit and started sprinting towards the door.
"crap" was all Alison could mumble before she started running as fast as she can to the stairs.
Emily knew she was faster than her fiancé and she knew it wont be a problem to catch her. I'm dating a 5 year old. Were Emily's thoughts while she was running down the stairs. She saw Alison getting into the living room and reached her just as she was crossing the couch to try and make it from the other side.
"gotcha" Emily said as she wrapped her hands around Alison and because she was running so fast the both fell to the ground the moment Emily reached her destination. Alison couldn't stop laughing the whole time, which made Emily laugh even harder. They both tried to control their breathing and once they calmed down they found themselves laying on the floor on their backs next to each other.
Emily looked straight at those blue eyes she knew so well. She thought how did she get so lucky? Getting a chance to spend her life with the girl of her dreams. Her eyes sparkled with love for Alison, she was grateful to god even though she didn't really believe there was a god. But there has to be right? How else would I have ended up with this amazing woman?
"I like you." Emily said after a few minutes of just staring at each other.
"you like me?" Alison couldn't help the giggle that left her mouth, which made Emily giggle too.
"yes, I do."
"well then. I like you too."

Emily was so happy to get back home. It was just after midnight and her body was killing her. Her coach really kicked their asses today. But as soon as she opened the door, the familiar smell she loved so much hit her and immediately she felt her body relax. She knew that in just a few minutes she would be able to crawl into bed and hug Alison. She took off her shoes and checked that she locked the door properly. She also went around the house checking that every back door and every window was locked. It became something she had to do before bed. Otherwise she wouldn't fall asleep.
She carefully and quietly made her way up stairs to their bedroom, she didn't want to wake Alison up but when she walked into the bedroom she saw Alison sitting on her side of the bed reading a magazine.
"Ali? What are you doing up?" Emily asked worriedly as she put her bag down.
Alison lifted her eyes from the magazine as she spotted Emily entering the room.
"I waited up for you." There was a half smile on her lips, but Emily knew that she didn't wait up to get their sexy time. Something was bothering her blonde. "we need to talk."
"Oh god, are you leaving me?" Emily was starting to really freak out.
"What?! No! Never." Alison was even more shocked than Emily right now. How can she even ask that?
"Then what is it? And why didn't you call me?" Emily could swear she felt herself coming back to life. She let out a long breath she didn't even know she kept inside.
"I didn't want you to worry about it." Alison paused, for too long in Emily's opinion.
"Will you just tell me what it is?!" Emily hated to wait for things. And right now her patience was around zero on the scale.
"I got the house."
"What house?" Emily's annoyance turned into confusion really fast.
"My house. Well technically my parents' house. But now its mine." Alison was waiting for Emily's reaction, even though she had a feeling she knew already what it would be.
"How?" Emily was thirsty for details, in order to wrap her head around it she needed to know as much as she can.
"After you left for practice, Jason called me. He said we both have a meeting with my dad and his lawyer. They said that in families where one parent dies, it's common to open the will, even though the other parent is still alive."
"So at that meeting you opened your parents will?" Emily asked. At this time she was already sitting at the end of the bed near Alison legs and listening closely to every word. Alison simply nodded and Emily knew that it must have been difficult for her to talk about her mother again.
"My dad is moving his business to Chicago. He thinks that it will be more successful. So the house was left for either me, or Jason."
"Okay. So how come you got it?"
"Jason said he didn't want it, he said that he has already found a new apartment in New York. He's moving there next month." Alison knew Emily wasn't going to like it, but she was prepared for everything. Her fiancé was very proud and Ali knew Emily wanted to make it on her own and not be given everything on a silver platter. "That leaves me." Alison added.
"But what if Jason comes back and claims the house?"
"They made us both sign this form that said the house is legally under my name, and its my choice what to do with it. Even if he does come back, he wont have any chance of winning the house in court."
Emily nodded. She stood up and moved her hand through her hair. She started walking back and forth in the room.
"Are you going to sell it?" Emily asked but she knew it was no use. She already knew what the blondes' intentions are. When Alison didn't reply and just looked at Emily with empty eyes, Emily understood she made up her mind.
"You want to move in." it was more of a statement than a question.
"Babe-"
"No. Don't 'babe' me Alison. What happened to our future outside of Rosewood. I thought that's what you wanted! To get away from this hell hole."
"I know. I know, but I am thinking of the future here. This could be a great opportunity for us. We wouldn't have to worry about rent, or mortgage."
"You hate that house! You said it brings you bad memories. And you haven't even been there for months."
"I will redecorate it. It will be my project until I finish school." Alison stood up and walked towards her stubborn mermaid. She knew that in order to convince her she had to use some kind of physical touch. She grabbed both her hands and made her look in her eyes.
"It will be our little home. We will make it ours. Together. Babe your parents are going to come back at some point, we can't live in their house forever."
But Emily was still not convinced. She always imagined her and Alison walking hand in hand to go house shopping and taking tours inside like twenty houses until Alison found something she really liked. Emily felt that sometimes, the harder way was the best way.
"I'll save up. We can find our dream house, I know its out there somewhere." Alison smiled. She loved her girl so much she honestly didn't care where she ended up, as long as she was with her. But she knew this is an opportunity they shouldn't give up on.
"You don't even have a job Em." Alison didn't want to sound like she was accusing Emily of anything, she just wanted her to look at the brighter side of this situation.
"Well actually I do. I got offered to take the assistant coach in Danby. It pays well and I think it will really bring me to great places."
"That's awesome baby!" Alison wrapped her arms around the brunette's waist. With her head under Emily's chin. Only when she felt Emily hug her back, which took a few moments, she started to talk again. "I'm so proud of you."
She knew Emily was smiling, she felt it. Even though she couldn't see her. When they pulled away from the embrace Alison looked in Emily's eyes again, she could see that she has softened. "I still think we should take the house though."
"I don't know Ali. I just… I don't know." Emily let go of her girl's arms and turned away towards the shower. A hot rinse under the water will sure help her think this through.

Emily felt something hit her and it made her wake up from her surprising good sleep. She had her front pressed against Alison's back. The blonde's head was resting on Emily's right arm and Emily's left arm was wrapped around Alison's waist. Emily looked around the room and soon enough her head was on Alison's pillow again. But then she felt a kick, harder this time. And she knew she wasn't imagining. "aww.." she scowled when she felt it again. It got worse when she felt an elbow hit her stomach. She grabbed both of Alison's hands, still wrapped around her.
"Babe. Babe, you're kicking me" she whispered into Alison's ear, she realized that the blonde was having a nightmare and wanted to wake her up gently so she wont get frightened.
"No. No. Stop it" she heard Alison mumble while she was trying to free herself from Emily's grip. But Emily just held on tighter. She could feel Alison's top all wet and sticky from sweat, and cursed herself for not realizing that her girl was sweating before.
"Ali it's just a dream. Wake up" Emily said, a bit louder now.
"NO! STOP IT!" Alison was practically screaming and fighting Emily. Her eyes where open now, but they were focused on the ceiling.
"EMILY! LET HER GO. PLEASE STOP IT!
It was getting worse and worse every second and Emily knew that she had to find a way for Alison to wake up and see her.
With every strength she had, Emily lifted herself and got on top of Alison. Straddling her, with her knees on each side of her body. She pinned both of Alison's hands on the mattress, just above Ali's head.
"Alison look at me. Hey. Hey!" Alison was starring at her like she wasn't even there so she knew she had to raise her voice even more. Even though she was freaking out inside, her actions where strong but calm. "ALISON! Look at me."
The fighting and the screaming stopped. There was just silence. Emily could recognize Alison's eyes again. She knew she had woken up. But Alison was shaking. She looked so scared and it broke Emily's heart.
"Emily." Was all Alison could let out of her mouth.
"Its me baby. I'm right here" Emily let all of her weight land on Alison when she laid on op of her. "You're safe now."
She let her breathing settle down before she rolled over to her side. And looked at Alison. She has calmed down too.
"Ali take off your shirt." Alison did what she was told. She was too tired to even ask questions. Her shirt was soaking wet and so she was left with her chest exposed. "I'll go get you a clean one." Emily started to rise up from the bed.
"No." Alison said and Emily turned to look at her confused. "I can stay like this." She explained. Emily nodded and sunk back into the bed. "Take off yours too." Alison added.
Emily wanted to do anything that would comfort the blonde right now, and so she also did what she was told. No arguing.
Alison shifted herself so she was laying her head just beside Emily's neck. The blondes' nose was pressed under her girls' ear. Emily wrapped her hand around Alison and pressed her opened palm against Alison's back as if she wanted to touch as much of her body as she could. Their bare chests were touching and so Emily realized why Alison asked her to take off her shirt too. There is something comforting with skin-to-skin contact with your loved one.
Emily finally heard Alison's breathing slow down and turn into a quite pattern. She then knew, Alison has fallen back to sleep.
Well there you have it! a bit of a dramatic one isn't it?
Let me know what you think, and also if you have any ideas for the next chapters, I would looove to hear it. xoxo
