Humphrey was sitting on his bed after he arrived at his house. He was staring at the picture of his parents, Charley and Chrystal.
He heard Felix knocking his door. "Humphrey. Winston want to talk to you" he said through the door. "Okay" Humphrey replied as he set the picture on the night stand next to him and Kate's picture. He got up and start walking towards the door and open it. He went downstairs to see Winston in his business clothes. He must've came from work.
"Hello Winston" Humphrey greeted. "Hello Humphrey, I just want talk about something between you and my daughter" he said.
"Okay" said Humphrey nervously. They walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. "Is it about how I treat her or about her getting hurt by her ex" asked Humphrey.
"Both actually and you did nothing wrong" said Winston smiling. "You treat Kate very good, making her life happy and became a lovable girl and protected her. And for Max, he got suspended and probably donating some money to us and...Eve and I decided to do something with our daughter that will make her happy, even you" Winston took a deep breath while Humphrey braced himself for the bad news or good news. "...You have our blessing to marry our daughter, Kate" he added on.
Humphrey widen his eyes and then dropped his jaw. "R-Really" he asked in shocked. Winston nodded his head, making Humphrey smile and began to burst tears in happiness.
"I can't believe this is happening" he cried. Winston smiled as Felix and Sara joined in. "Looks like we're going to have a daughter in law" said Sara smiling. "You better go find and buy a ring for your soon to be wife. Just like your father, he got a ring for your mother with two hearts, their names and they always said true love never broke up" Felix explained.
Humphrey wiped his tears off his face and stood up. "Better go and buy the ring for my love" he said.
They all nodded as Humphrey walked up the stairs then to the stairway, up to his room and grab his keys. He went inside the garage and got in his corvette, and started the engine. He pressed the button for the garage to open. Winston got in his truck and drove off.
While he was driving, he looked at his phone then click the calendar. May 25th, the end of his school year and the prom also. Good thing that he was stopped by the red light because he's going to search a song for the prom. He began to think back when he sing a song for Kate while driving to Jasper National Park for a beach party.
Then a song came across that make Humphrey remembered when he met Kate the became best friend. Humphrey look at the song title and it was 'Best Friend' by Jason Chen.
But very differently, they didn't met when they were ten years old. They met when they were seventeen years old and it almost love at first sight. He began searching another song and came across 'Kiss The Girl' by Ashley Tisdale. The words fits for them. Like Kate said, they almost had love at first sight.
Kate did told him that she was so nervous to talk to him when she met him and Humphrey felt urge to kiss her because of her beauty.
Humphrey smiled and found a perfect song for him, Kate, Lily, Garth, Faith, and Flare. Maybe some other couples, well for Shakey...nah.
He arrived at a ring store where they can customize their own ring. He went inside and was greeted by the cashier and a employee.
"Hello sir, what can I do for you" he asked taking out a notebook and a pencil. "Hi, can you build me two rings with two hearts, one blue and one amber. And put Humphrey on the silver ring and Kate on the orange ring. Also, put true love always stays forever" explained Humphrey as the cashier was writing down.
"Alright, that will be two hundred and thirty six dollars" he said as he rip the note and handed to the employee next to him name Chris. Chris walked into a room, possibly building the ring right now.
Humphrey handed the money to the cashier. "It will take five minutes, so I suggested you to take a seat" he said. Humphrey nodded and walked over there then pulled out his phone.
He wanted to know what was Kate doing. "Hey Humphrey" Kate answered on her phone after Humphrey click the icon.
"Hey Kate, what are you doing" he asked. "At the mall buying some dress for the girls to wear at the prom" she said. "What are you doing" she asked back.
"Watching some movie" he lied. "Oh, what are you watching" she asked. Humphrey paused for a moment. He knew Kate was crazy about his precious member that's what she called him when they had sex like 5 weeks ago or one month.
"Sex tape" he whispered as Kate let out a sexy growl then a giggle but it's not Kate. "Are they listening" he asked referring about her friends. "Kind of" said Kate. "Say hi girls" she said. "Hey Humphrey" they all said acting seductively which is strange.
"Hey" he replied. "I think they want you because of your beautiful voice" whispered Kate then she began to giggle with the others.
"Okay then" said Humphrey nervously. "Are you okay over there" he asked. "Yeah, why" she asked. "To make sure your ex is not following you" said Humphrey.
"Oh Humphrey you don't need to worry about that anymore. He's donating some money to us and got suspended" Kate replied.
"Okay just making sure alright" he said. "Okay" she replied then Humphrey heard her ordering some food, probably taking a break.
Good timing because the employee came out of the room with two rings. "Would you like them in a box" he asked. Humphrey nodded as he stared at the rings.
The silver ring that shines like platinum is Humphrey's and the orange ring that shines like a sun rays is Kate's and they had both names on them with two hearts.
Chris put the rings in the box and handed to Humphrey. "Thank you sir" said Humphrey. "No problem and thank you for choosing Ring Customizer" they both replied. Humphrey nodded his head and open the door and got in his car. He put his phone on speaker and set it inside the cup holder.
"You still eating baby" he asked to Kate. "Yeah" she answered as Humphrey started the car and drove off. "Where are you going Humphrey" asked Kate on the phone.
"To the store" Humphrey lied again, but in his mind, he can't wait to see Kate's reaction when he proposal to her. He decided to do it at the prom where everyone can hear it. "Oh you should've come with us" said Kate. "I would but you didn't tell me" he said.
"Anyways, I gotta go and help my friends to find their clothes alright, love you" she said. "I love you too Kate" he replied. "We'll see about that" said Kate making Humphrey chuckled as they both hung up.
He look back at the ring then began to think what would be their future like.
And for Kate, she's planing something special also and it's at the prom too. But neither of them didn't know about their plan.
Since I'm like doing three stories, I'm a work on this story and 'Reversed' since they are a lot faster. The Medieval version has to wait until this story is finished. What is Kate's plan? What did you guys think? What will happen next? Peace out and have a nice day.
