A/N: Short chapter is short. But as of now, this story has now officially beaten Prankwar in Length, which means that this is the longest Terqua story I ever wrote. And we're not even halfway. On to the next milestone (which would be the longest story written by me)! :D

38) Accident
Aqua always thought that it felt a little weird to parade around the house wearing nothing but a towel. It felt freeing, sure, but maybe a little too...empty?
She had just finished a bath and she felt serene for a change. The bluenette grabbed a second towel to dry her hair when her phone rang. She sighed, dropping her towel on the bed, and walked over to the device.
Well, so far for being serene then.
"Aqua speaking."
Her brows furrowed when she realized that a crying Kairi was on the other side of the line. What could have possibly happened to make the always so happy Kairi this upset?
"Kairi, are you okay?" She heard more sobbing coming from the redhead's part, and then...
"What?"
All blood drained from Aqua's face as soon as the horrible news sunk in. She had to hold onto the edge of the table nearby in order not to collapse.
Terra had been in an accident, and by the sounds of it, it was pretty bad too.
"Where is he now?" It was silent for a moment, as Kairi told her the right location. "Alright. I'll be there in twenty minutes."
If she hadn't glanced at the mirror in he hall, she probably would have left the house without wearing normal clothes.
