A/N I want to say thank you to everyone for your patience. I know that this was slow in coming but I have been so busy. This chapter is unbeta'd as my friend has been very busy with her new life. I truly hope that everyone will enjoy this chapter. Of all of my stories and all of my chapters I think this one is my favorite. I loved writing it and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

Later that evenin' the kids and I all had a meetin' with me askin' their opinions on askin' their mama to marry me. What I didn't know and should have was that my kids were way ahead of me. I found out just how dangerous our children really are. . .

Josh's POV

I had been watchin' mama for awhile now and knew that somethin' was makin' her sad. She and daddy were really happy to have Mina but then one day mama just started getting sad and tried to hide it from daddy. Actually she tried to hide it from all of us.

Sometimes, she would take all of us with the other grown up girls and go shoppin'. Mama didn't actually do much shoppin'. She would buy stuff for us and for daddy but nothin' for her. She would stop and look at all the pretty jewelry and then stop and look at some of the fanciest dresses I've ever seen. I have never actually seen anyone not even the family ever wear anythin' as fancy as these dresses were.

Mina who is much younger than us was the one that actually figured it out. She is very smart and after watchin' mama do this when she went shoppin' and then seein' the way she looked at daddy when he wasn't lookin' helped but it was watchin' Monster-in-law that helped her figure it out. She came and talked to us first and then went and told daddy.

The problem is that daddy really has no clue when it comes to romance. He's a warrior, and doesn't really understand things sometimes. So that's where Katelyn, Bri, and I come in. See Katelyn just recently found out that she's like daddy and is an empath. She can't do what daddy does though at least right now, she can only feel what others are feelin'.

After we met with daddy and he told us that he was gonna propose to mama we told him that all he needed to do was to be in the RV and waitin' for mama. We took him to the place that we knew mama kept stoppin' and lookin' at one certain ring. He bought it and made sure it was her size. But we couldn't take him to see the dress.

We had talked to grandma Esme, Aunt Rose, Aunt Char, Aunt Carly, and Aunt Beth. They all told us to let them handle mama's dress that she would need. They also helped us plan a romantic night for them so that daddy could ask her properly. We would help them to cook a nice dinner for mama, and get the RV ready.

Since we didn't know anythin' about what romantic was Aunt Rose, Aunt Char, along with Aunt Beth gave us ideas and then helped us by takin' us to buy whatever we needed. We actually decorated the RV ourselves with the adults approval of course. The hard part was keepin' mama and daddy away long enough to do what we needed to do.

We then told daddy to ask mama if he could have some private time with her on the evenin' that he would be askin' her, we also explained that the Aunts would be takin' her into their house to get her dressed up and ready for their date. He could then add any last minute touches which when he did look he couldn't think of anythin' to make it better.

All of our Aunts said that mama would love it. So when daddy asked mama for some special time alone Katelyn said that she could feel mama's happiness and joy. Unfortunately she also felt someone else's bad emotions. She said that she didn't know what the emotions were but they were dark and made her scared. She had never felt these emotions from anyone before.

So I asked her if she could tell who they were comin' from. Since we were allowed to go inside of the main house as long as we weren't alone with Mr. Edward and Ms. Alice then we could come and go as much as we wanted to.

We went inside and finally Katelyn knew who was feelin' those emotions. They were comin' from the ones that had hurt mama and wanted to hurt daddy as well. For some reason they thought that mama and daddy belonged to them. None of us liked them especially Edward. He didn't like us and he didn't hide it either. He kept callin' us "bastards" whatever that means. It doesn't sound very nice.

We decided that we needed to watch them. Although everyone was supposed to go out tonight except for Carly, grandma Esme, and grandpa Carlisle. They would be watchin' us. But Katelyn said that we needed to be alert because she knew that Edward was up to something. He was too happy but it wasn't his true emotions. He was angry, and feelin' those other emotions that we didn't understand.

We decided that we needed to watch out for Edward. Although he and Alice had gone with the rest of them he could easily sneak away and do something to ruin everything for mama and daddy. I had thought about tellin' Uncle Peter but he was really excited about goin' out so I decided along with my sisters that us kids could protect our parents without his help. Although he said his "knower" was goin' off like crazy, it had stopped when we decided to stay up and protect mama and daddy.

It was a good thing that we did too. We slept in shifts with two watchin' the RV and the other two sleepin' for a couple of hours. Just like we had thought, around three am we saw Edward and Alice come sneakin' through the trees. I had been smart though and had put my shield up around the RV.

We heard them talkin' and they were sayin' that Alice was goin' to make some noise that would cause daddy to come outside. Then Edward was goin' to go inside the RV and take mama away. I had to wake up Katelyn and Mina. Our room in the house faced the RV and we could see everything surroundin' it.

I told everything they were plannin' to Katelyn and Mina who got very upset and wanted to go rushin' down there and yell. I explained that we needed to not let mama and daddy be disturbed. This was a special night for them and no one was gonna mess it up for them. No we could take care of this ourselves.

I kept my shield up and reinforced it so that any noises couldn't be heard outside of it. Edward and Alice were now the only ones inside of it but they didn't know it of course. We watched as they prepared to cause the noise and then take mama away. As soon as Alice started the noise, and Edward was preparin' to run into the RV Brianna used her gift and lifted first Alice and then Edward up off the ground. Then she did what she does best.

We were all tired now even though we had had a nap. I'm the only one who can use my gift without havin' to be awake. So after makin' sure that those two weren't goin' anywhere because of my shield we all went to bed, and I must say that we all had the best nights rest ever.

We woke up early the next mornin' but it was late for us. Grandma Esme had breakfast ready by the time we had gone downstairs. We had taken a minute to check on the RV and everything was the same as we had left it. I wasn't sure if I should lift my shield or not. I decided to wait until at least breakfast was over.

Everyone was back except for mama and daddy. We were all excited to hear how daddy's proposal went, and when we could finalize some of the preparations for the weddin'. Yep, the girls and I had already made some of the plans for the weddin' with our Aunts help of course. We couldn't wait to tell them what we had so far.

I was kind of wonderin' how everyone came back and hadn't noticed something odd about the RV. That is until Aunt Beth said that she had wanted to see something that was on the opposite side of the house than the RV so they had come in from the other side of the house and for some reason hadn't even bothered to check on the RV or Edward and Alice.

Apparently they had told the family that they wanted to go shoppin' and left them after they hunted. It made me kind of wonder out how the family was still around considerin' how easily they had been fooled by Edward. I guess that's what they meant by the sayin' "love is blind."

We had just finished up when Katelyn leaned over and said, "I think we're in trouble. I just felt daddy's emotions and he is feelin' both proud and angry. I think he's mad at us for what we did."

Before I could answer her daddy was standin' in the kitchen just lookin' at us with his arms crossed over his chest. I think he was torn between bein' proud, and wantin' to spank our butts. He just motioned for us to come over to him. Yep, we were in trouble. I just knew that when he found out the whole truth that it would change. I hate to admit it but I was wrong.

"Let me guess. I'm thinkin' that the mess that is outside of the RV is your doin'. Would you care to explain?" daddy asked with a stern tone to his voice.

Mama had come in and was standin' next to daddy. I just had to know so I looked at her hand and she was wearin' the ring he had bought her. I got so excited that I forgot we were in trouble and shouted, "You said yes mama?!"

She smiled a huge smile and shook her head yes. Daddy on the other hand wasn't gonna let what we had done go. He growled and then said, "We'll talk about that later. Now start explainin' the mess we found now!"

Mina stepped up and told daddy everything. Of course no one else understood until daddy told them what they had found outside of the RV when they came out. Daddy was torn again between bein' proud and bein' more pissed at us than I have ever seen him. I think it probably had something to do with the fact that we should have told him or at least let Uncle Peter know, instead of tryin' to take on two vampires that could have hurt us.

At this point everyone went outside to see that everything was the same. Both Edward and Alice had been ripped apart by Brianna's gift of movin' things around. My shield kept them from movin' and bein' able to put themselves back together. Score one for us. Until I saw the look on daddy's face. He was so angry.

He then told us to get into the RV and he would be there in a minute. We heard him ask the family to take the parts and put them back together but this time they had to stay in their rooms or be ripped apart and kept that way until time for the trial. We could all hear the anger in his voice and for the first time, we knew we had done the unthinkable. We had disappointed our father.

When he came in we all told him that we were sorry but he immediately put his hand up to stop us from sayin' anything more. He paced for a minute before turnin' to face us. When he did we all saw it in his eyes. It was a combination of pride, anger, fear, hurt, and love.

"Please don't say another word until I'm done. I know that you are sorry and that right there pisses me off. You have nothing to be sorry about. I know that you think that I'm angry with you because of what you did. But that's not true. I'm angry because you didn't tell at least Uncle Peter or even your mama or me. I'm so fuckin' proud of all of you for takin' care of them and wantin' our time to be uninterrupted. At the same time I feel so much fear that you could have gotten hurt or worse. You seem to have forgotten that Edward can read minds.

I'm hurt that you know better than to keep something this important from me or at least from other adults, and yet you did it anyways. You kids are the most important things in my life except for your mama. If any of you had gotten hurt or killed it would have been beyond the most horrible pain you could ever imagine. You four are our lives now. None of you can ever be replaced and that would be something that we would have to live with forever.

Please, don't ever do anything like that again. At least tell Peter or Ethan. Just tell someone although I am hurt that you didn't want to tell me and yet I understand why you didn't. I love you, all of you and I don't want to know what it would feel like to have to live without you in my life. One last thing, I'm so fuckin' proud of you! Oops. Sorry, but I am very proud of all of you.

You saw what was goin' on and did what any good soldier would have done. Tried to eliminate the problem before it started. It was well executed, and the results probably saved much grief. It was so well done that even the family as well as your mama and I couldn't hear, or smell what happened. Now come over here and let's have some hugs. As long as you understand that never are you to keep things like this a secret from us, then we'll forget this. Although I doubt that Edward and Alice will forget."

We all ran and hugged our parents. They were the best ones ever. Then they told us that yes they were gonna get married and no they hadn't decided on a date yet. We shared what we had come up with so far and I think that mama loved it. Daddy didn't care as long as mama was happy. Both of them were excited that we wanted to be a part of the plannin' and the weddin' of course.

Everyone was excited and wanted to be a part of plannin'. Except the two that weren't allowed out of their rooms except to hunt and then the animals were brought to them. They were allowed outside long enough to drink and then back to their rooms. We were never in the house unless everyone was there. Brianna had overheard Edward tellin' Alice how he was workin' on a plan to not only get them out of the rooms but to get rid of us and daddy as well.

We finally decided on a Spring weddin' and it was gonna be outside. We were allowed to go and help mama with her dress and personally I thought she was the prettiest of all the ladies. They all had to try on dresses and they were all very pretty but nothin' compared to our mama.

The weddin' would be two months before the Volturi would be back to hold a trial. They decided to go to and Island that grandma and grandpa owned. We would join them two weeks after they got there. They wanted us to have a couple of weeks with us there. Although I can't understand why we couldn't just go with them when they left. Uncle Peter just told me to trust him, we wouldn't want to be anywhere near them.

Finally the day came and unfortunately I was told I had to be separated from my sisters as the girls had to get the bride and each other ready while us menfolk had to try to keep daddy from bein' so nervous. I couldn't understand that either because it was just mama that he was marryin' and she loved him.

Since mama's daddy had been killed she didn't really have anyone to walk her down to daddy so she asked me if I would give her away. That was confusin' as well because she already belonged to daddy. They said that it was tradition for the bride's father or someone special to walk her down the aisle and then place her hand into the hand of her soon to be husband. I was to be that special someone for her.

Unfortunately, Edward managed to get out of the room he was in and had grabbed mama and was tryin' to get out when Uncle Peter caught up with him. Poor mama was still in her bathrobe. It was a good thing too because everyone says that its bad luck for the groom which is my daddy, to see the bride in her gown before the weddin'.

Peter had grabbed Edward and was tryin' to get him to let go of mama. I threw my shield around her and Brianna moved Edward away from mama at the same time. Daddy came runnin' into the room at that point and I knew that trouble was a brewin' as Uncle Peter always says.

Daddy made everyone leave and told mama to hurry and get finished getting ready for the weddin' while he dealt with the trash. I don't know what he did but we never saw Edward again until time for the trial. All I know is that the next mornin' after the weddin' there were some shiny new trash cans that we were told to stay away from at all costs. Sometimes, they made loud noises.

Finally it was time to walk mama down the aisle to daddy. She was so pretty in her gown. It was sleeveless and had a lot of lace around the bottom of the skirt. It flowed out from her waist and had a long train. There were red roses on the skirt part as well. They were blood red of course.

Daddy couldn't take his eyes off of mama. He had the biggest smile I have ever seen except when Mina was born. As soon as we got to him he sighed as if he was finally home whatever that means. Something else that Uncle Peter always says. I placed mama's hand into his like daddy had explained and then went to sit down.

Grandpa Carlisle was the one to do the weddin' as he had been ordained whatever that means. Something about him bein' able to marry people is all I know. Mama cried through the whole ceremony but Katelyn said they were happy tears. Daddy did something that he had told us he would never do. He let mama buy him his own weddin' ring and placed it on his finger. He kept sayin' that he would never wear a ring. Guess he loves mama enough to do whatever makes her happy.

It didn't matter that my daddy was the most feared vampire ever. It didn't matter that he had killed without remorse before. He wasn't that man any more. Mama had changed him. I didn't need to have his or Katelyn's gift to know that he loved deeply. I could see it every time he looked at mama, or Katelyn, or Brianna, or Mina. Even when he looked at me there was so much love shinin' in his eyes.

He was always so careful and so gentle with mama. He made sure that we were too because well, we did have much more strength than mama could handle. He was extremely protective of all of us. I loved him and I knew that when I grew up I was gonna be just like him. I was gonna miss them like crazy until it was time to go to join them.

About a week after they left Uncle Peter got a phone call from daddy. I could hear daddy and he was in terrible pain, the last thing I heard before Uncle Peter ran out the door was something about mama was dead. . .
