Jasper's POV

The kids had been asleep only a few hours when I heard some kind of fuckin' weird noise. I had a hard time for a few seconds trying to figure out where and what the noise was. Bella was makin' some noises as well as if she were exertin' herself, you know pushin' on somethin'.

Then I smelled it. It was a mixture of human blood and venom. It was more venom with only a slight hint of blood and then heard the clatter of something hittin' the floor. I was able to look around and see that Ethan had been right, the stinger had been pushed out.

The next thing I heard sent my instincts into hurricane mode if you will. My mate's heart was speedin' up and that meant that she was about to wake up. I was torn between excitement at seein' my mate's beautiful red eyes and keepin' our babies safe. I quickly woke the kids up and told them they needed to go and join their aunts Char and Rose while their uncles would come in here to assist me if needed.

I was also shocked as it had only been a little under forty-eight hours. I got up and was tryin' to get the kids to the door. Mina was very upset and tellin' me that they didn't need to leave. Josh was tryin' to explain that his Uncle Peter had said that his mama wasn't gonna be a normal newborn. Katelyn and Brianna were just cryin' and beggin' me to let them stay at least by the door.

I got the door opened knowin' that Peter and Em were already there and waitin'. Rose and Char were behind them ready to take the kids. Unfortunately the kids were determined that they were gonna stay and started grabbin' my legs, arms and body tryin' to hold on. With their strength the only way to get them to let go was to hurt them.

I was workin' trying to get Katelyn to let go when Mina was screamin' that she knew her mama wouldn't hurt them and they needed to stay. I was becomin' pissed because I couldn't get all four of them off without hurtin' them and I refused to do that. Suddenly I found myself frozen at the sound of her voice, "Jasper Whitlock, what in the hell are you doing? You had better not be trying to make the kids leave. I'll kick your ass if you are and I can do it now!" She growled out.

The kids were gone in a flash and over to their mama who was huggin' them. I could feel no blood lust only love, joy, excitement along with some anger which I knew was directed at me, I could tell by the fuckin' glare she was givin' me over Josh's shoulder.

By this time everyone had come in and was watchin' Bella. They were all shocked as they knew that newborns were violent and uncontrollable without my gift, but even Peter was shocked and he's the one that said that he knew that Bella would be different. I quickly made my way towards my family.

I was about to ask Bella if she was thirsty and needed to hunt, but my baby daughter beat me to it by turnin' to me and sayin', "See daddy, I knew she wouldn't hurt us. She's our mama and she needs us!"

"How did you know?" Was all I could ask.

"Because I'm tellin' her she isn't thirsty. I'll stop in a few minutes and later we can see if our blood bothers her, but right now she needs hugs and so do we." Mina said without remorse for usin' her gift. That's my girl!

"Wow Major! You have some very smart and what could be very dangerous kids there. You have to be the luckiest vampire I know. You had better take care of what you have or you'll have me to deal with!" Rose spoke with determination and I knew that she would do anything to protect my family, includin' die tryin'.

I went over to my family and joined in the hugs, givin' Bella a few extra kisses. She was still pissed at me, but at least she was lettin' me kiss her. I also knew that she would need to hunt and soon. Once Mina's gift was removed the pain from the thirst could be overwhelmin'.

I decided to let the kids spend some time with their mama and then I would take her huntin'. The problem was obviou, would she want to hunt criminals or animals. I had been doin' both since I met my mate only because it bothered me now to kill humans although the ones I killed mostly needed killin'.

How much had changed since meetin' her? Everythin'. I can't even fuckin' hunt like I used to, but I wouldn't give any of it up. Yeah I'm still an asshole, but I'm her asshole and for some fucked up reason she loves me. I love her as well and while I show my softer side while with her and our kids, to everyone else I'm still a dangerous fucker.

I let the kids spend an hour before I told them it was time for me to take their mama huntin'. Once Mina took her gift away the thirst would be painful. Didn't matter how controlled she is the thirst is still gonna be the same. Peter wanted to test her control before I took her huntin' and I started to argue, but of course she agreed with him.

What better way to know how out of control she might become than when she was extremely thirsty. So I had the kids stand back so that she couldn't reach them and then held her in a hold that had her arms and legs pinned. She couldn't get away and Peter and Em were close enough to help stop her if she did manage to get out of my hold. Char and Rose were close enough to the kids to get them out just in case.

Unfortunately everyone seemed to forget that I'm an empath and would feel her thirst, but I did have much better control and while I could feel her thirst I made no move towards our children. I couldn't hurt them and neither could she.

She felt the pain from the thirst, but had no problems with bein' around the kids. Like I said, their blood smelled off and so it wasn't appealin' to vampires like a human would be. By the time I got her out of there to hunt she was feelin' so much fuckin' happiness and joy that it was affectin' the hunt for me.

She had told me that she wanted to try to hunt first an animal and then maybe later try a criminal. I explained that if she played with her food as far as an animal was concerned that the blood would taste better. With humans we didn't need to play with them because as soon as they saw us and knew what was goin' to happen their blood would have the adrenaline pumpin' throughout their body and make it even better for us as vampires.

We decided to go after a carnivore since their blood tastes better than the deer, elk and other animals that ate plants. Since we were in South America we went after some of the big cats and foxes. She found a jaguar and then a bear. The bear put up a good fight and to my pleasure ripped her clothes up leavin' her naked.

I still needed to hunt myself, but since for now we were gonna just feed off of animals I gave her my shirt to wear and removed my pants to actually hunt. I found my own jaguar and then a couple of foxes. I knew what effect it would have on my mate which was exactly what I wanted.

As soon as I had finished with the last fox she attacked me. Huntin' with one's mate always ends up with this reaction. There's just something bout' watchin' your mate take down an animal several times her own weight and size that is a huge turn on, for me anyway. Apparently it has the same effect on the females to watch their mates huntin'.

She finally got to claim me along with markin' me as hers. Once she had her fun it was my turn. For the first time ever I didn't have to hold back. I made sure that she knew just how fuckin' much I loved her and wanted to bring her pleasure like she's never felt before. We couldn't seem to stop, but before I knew it the sun had gone down and was now back up.

Time to go back to our island paradise and our kids. We had to swim back as that's how we got here to hunt. As usual my brother had my back and had clothes for both of us waiting by one of the palm trees by the beach. We quickly got dressed and got back to the house just in time to see the kids finishin' up their breakfast.

The kids were excited to see us, but the adults were quiet and worried. I knew that there was trouble as soon as I saw Peter's face so I decided to just ask him what the fuck was goin' on, but it was my son Josh who spoke up, feelin' amused for some fuckin' reason.

"Daddy, we have to go back to the Cullens house. The Volturi were called and so its time to have the trial. Aro called Uncle Peter and told us to come back. Apparently someone didn't like the fact that there were trash cans everywhere. They had to put Mr. Edward back together and they are waitin' for us to hold the trial."

"You're feelin' amused son. May I ask why you believe the trial to be funny?" I asked.

He just started laughin' and the girls joined in. I was becomin' impatient but Brianna spoke up this time, "Sorry daddy and yes there is somethin' funny. Edward is very upset because well, we have somethin' that belongs to him."

Josh held up one of those fuckin' storage bags that had eight fingers in it. I swear that boy has been around Peter way too fuckin' much. He had a shit eatin' grin on his face. He shook the bag and then said, "It'll be kind of hard for him to cause trouble or even play that awful tune he says he wrote for mama. That tune sucks and he really needs to write better songs!"

Of course Peter bein' Peter just couldn't keep his mouth shut, "Hey you only have eight, where's the other two?"

"We decided to let him keep them. We let him have his thumbs. Can't do much damage with those." Katelyn spoke up tryin' hard to keep from laughin.

I looked at Bella and she said exactly what I already knew to be the truth, "We need to face it Major. Our children are extremely dangerous and I would hate to be on the receiving end of their anger. They are their father's children. No one can mess with them or with the Whitlocks ever. Not even the Volturi although once they know the full extent of their gifts they will try. That much I know for a fact. I think that while the trial for who are the true mates is a done deal, I have a feeling that Aro is going to try to get the kids to work for them."

"Don't worry mama. There's no way that any of us would work for them. They can't hurt us, they can't touch us and we won't let them touch or hurt anyone else that is a Whitlock." Josh boasted.

"Son, what is the first thing I taught you as a fighter?" I asked him.

"Never underestimate the enemy." He replied.

"Exactly. We don't know what they might try, but we will die before lettin' anything happen to any of you, but I think I might have a plan that just might work. I need to talk to Peter and lets see if we can refine it so that it will work. I already know that you're worried Peter so that means that your knower is tellin' you the outcome ain't gonna be good for someone, maybe even all of us." I said.

We quickly got all of the things we had brought and got back to the mainland and flew back to the Cullens. Rose and Em were a huge help in keepin' the kids busy so they wouldn't worry. They didn't need to hear what Peter had to say and while I feared for anyone who might get on their bad side; they were still kids and they needed to be kids and not tryin' to help the adults fight an enemy. I'm not stupid though and I have a very strong feelin' that our kids were more dangerous than any of the Volturi or their guards.

The trip seemed to take less time getting back than goin', and gratefully we had the private jet again. Bella still hadn't been around humans and until this shit was over we had more important things to worry about then her killin' a human.

We no sooner pulled into the driveway than Aro proceeded to tell us that we needed to be assembled. The kids were to stay in the RV until the trial was over. Aro was feelin' determination and glee. Edward was just feelin' smug like he knew he had already won. Jane was told to stay with the kids, but there was no fuckin' way that Bella was gonna let that bitch anywhere near our kids.

I had a bad feelin' in the pit of my stomach. I looked around and I realized that most of the guard members were here. All of the gifted ones were, includin' Chelsea which if it wasn't for Bella and Josh would have alarmed me. With their shields there was no gift that would be able to reach us. Of course Aro didn't know what I now knew.

Bella's shield was much stronger now that she was a vampire. While Josh could crush with his and it was a physical shield, his mama's was a mental shield and so far as we could tell not even Mina's gift of makin' others do her biddin' would work on Bella. Of course Mina wasn't happy bout' that, but that's another story.

Aro called for Edward, Alice, Bella and I to come forward and stand in front of them. He also said that the kids were to stand to the side, but they were not to move. They did allow Peter, Char, Rose and Em to stand with them and help to keep them from runnin' either to us or away, I'm not sure.

I started to really become fuckin' alarmed when the guard members moved to surround us. There was no openin' and no way out except through the guards. I was beginnin' to get a sick feelin' in the pit of my stomach. My only hope of getting the family out of here was the fact that the three leaders knew nothin' of Bella's or the kid's gifts. I also knew that if the only way to keep the kids safe was to die then I would do so gladly. As long as they would be safe.

Aro spoke up first, but his words didn't match up with his emotions. He was way too fuckin' excited and even more determination was pourin' off of him, "Bella I see that you have finally joined our world and I must say that immortality suits you very well. You are very beautiful and I look forward to getting to know you as a vampire."

"Cut the bullshit Aro. I have a feeling that this trial isn't going to go like it should. Even without being an empath I can see that you're way too fucking happy. So cut the shit and just tell us what the high and mighty and very stupid Volturi kings have decided!" Bella growled out. If this wasn't serious right now I would have grabbed her and ran and fucked her brains out. She was so fuckin' sexy when pissed.

Aro tried to pretend to be shocked, but it didn't fuckin' work. He was quite pleased with something and I had a feelin' that it had something to do with the fucked up idiots standin' next to us. They too were way too happy and excited. I have a feelin' that someone made a deal with the devil.

Caius the spoke up, "Brother just explain to them and the Cullens as well that we have spoken to everyone concerned and have made a decision that we believe will benefit all of us. No one has to die and everyone will be able to live without worry of loved ones being killed. Everyone will be safe and we'll be stronger for it."

Fortunately, I along with my mate, had made plans that if this wasn't goin' well for us that Peter, Char, Rose and Em would run with the kids. Our main concern was for our children to live happy and free from the fuckin' Volturi. That's why they were standin' next to them and holdin' either in their arms or at least holdin' their hands. Josh was too big to be held or so he thinks.

I made the motion of scratchin' my chin which was the signal for them to be prepared to run with them. Aro motioned for Marcus to step forward and tell us what he saw. He was also feelin' determination, but his seemed to be for a different reason.

He came forward and then spoke, "Major, Bella, I do see that the two of you are indeed mates. I have never seen as strong a bond as the two of you have. It might have something to do with the fact that you have created children, something that we truly thought was impossible with vampires.

Sadly though there is nothing that can be done about the truth. I'm bound by Chelsea's gift and therefore have to go along with the decision. I want you to know that I tried to talk Aro and Caius out of their decisions, but the idea of getting the gifts that everyone has is too exciting for them anyway. Before I stand back I want you to know that if I could I would stop this madness that they are attempting to do. Aro, Caius, Major, Bella; let it be known that I do not approve of what they have decided. My last statement on these actions is that I fear that they will unleash a monster more horrible than any of us can even begin to imagine. I fear that the Volturi may not survive this time. Forgive me of my part. I only ask one thing of you Major, Bella; please let my death be swift. For I know that will be the only punishment for the actions that are now already in motion."

I turned quickly to see my four children in the hands of guards. Their hands around their throats ready to squeeze. I had made them promise not to use their gifts unless I gave the signal. I needed to know what the bastards were gonna do before I unleashed hell on them.

I hated that they had to be put in that position, but I needed the whole story before I made sure that these bastards were destroyed. I turned to Aro and said, "What the fuck do you want. Just so you know, even a scratch on any of the kids and you will die a horrible death! Just fuckin' tell us what we have to do to keep them safe?" I was stallin' and tryin' to get the full story before doin' anything.

"Its very simple Major. Edward wants Bella and Alice wants you. We want their gifts as well as the opportunity to make sure the children grow up well informed and not a danger of exposing us. We also want your gift Major, not just as an empath, but as the most skilled fighter ever known in the vampire world. Imagine the vampire world knowing that you now work for us? They would be too terrified of you coming after them to do anything stupid. No one could ever defeat us.

Edward and Alice simply made a deal with us. They will work for us for at least a hundred years. Then they can live anywhere, but will still have to come and help us when we need it. In exchange, Edward gets Bella and Alice gets you. You will live with her as her mate and Bella will be with Edward. The children will be raised by guards with the help of our wives.

If you do not agree then the children will be tortured one at a time and killed very slowly. I'm sure that the guards would love to play with the girls. Some of them don't care how old the girls are just as long as they can do what they want.

Now I understand how hard its going to be to stay away from each other and that is one of the stipulations of the deal. You can not be around each other, especially alone. Therefore, I'll have Chelsea use her gift and the two of you will become loyal to not only Edward and Alice, but to us.

After a few months or years depending on how well the two of you behave you might be allowed to see the kids. Oh, not together, but you will get to see them, maybe. Oh, Chelsea's gift will also be used on them as well. We need them loyal to us as well. So if you'll say goodbye now we can get this started and get going. I'm tired of being here and I really want to go home. You have thirty seconds to say goodbye to each other and then thirty more to say goodbye to the children. See, I'm not that big of a monster that I won't let you do that much."

I looked at the kids and then asked Aro if they could be released so that we could hug them. He said that would be alright, but only one at a time after which they would be once again be in the grip of the guard member. I have never been so grateful to our beautiful daughter Katelyn.

Her gift doesn't require her to be there. She knew somethin' was goin' on, somethin' bad and so we made a plan. As I hugged each one of them, they were fearful, but also determination and strength was comin' from all four of them. I told them how proud I was of them, how much I loved them. I also told them to remember. Everyone thought I was tellin' them to remember us. They knew what I meant and although I fuckin' hated this shit, not because I hated killin', no, its because it would be my kids doin' it, and people were gonna die today. . .

A/N Please tell me what you think. For those who are interested my husband still has some cancer and will have to have radiation treatments. They will probably start in Jan. or shortly after. This story only has one or two more chapters. The next one may end up being the epilogue, it just depends on how it goes. Again I'm sorry that it took so long but on top of my husband's health situation going on I have been having my own health problems with no money to go to the doctor.
