ONE WEEK LATER:
Esme's POV:
Nicola's starting to warm up to me. She'll call me Mama sometimes but it depends on her mood. She'll sometimes respond to Rosalie Nicola or Rosie from the boys. She's gotten really close to Edward who's really looking out of her where Jasper is having a bit of a jealously issue. He doesn't like how close Carlisle and Nicola already are.
Today Kate is watching all the kids.I dressed Nicola in a pink cotton dress with a pink headband and white flats, Jasper in a white shirt and blacks jeans with black and white converse, and Edward is in his uniform.
I'm holding Nicola in the kitchen now as the boys eat. Nicola ate earlier with Carlisle before he went to work, Now that she lets me hold her I never want to let her go.
"We have to drop Edward off at school and then while you and Jasper have a playdate. Mommy has to work and then you have your photo shoot" I said before kissing her cheek
I'm still keeping Nicola in modeling but all the pictures she had with Victoria's company have been removed. I'm so happy I can share my family with everyone now. Today she has a photo shoot with the hello kitty company.
"Okay Edward lets get ready to go to school" I said "Only one more day left and then spring break baby" I said when he frowned
Jasper walked over to me with his arms up "Uppie" he whined "I want up too"
I picked Jasper up before going downstairs and putting them down to get their coats on. "Jasper you have to get your coat on baby" I said when he held on to me
After the kids got their coats on I buckled them into the car before driving to the school. "I can go by myself" Edward said as he unbuckled himself from the car
"Okay. I love you" I said. I have to remember to take him out somewhere. He's been doing so well with school and his piano lessons at school I think he deserves something special to do with Bella and his friends.
"Mommy can we go to the toy store?" Jasper asked
"No baby you just got all those toys for your birthday" I said
"But Daddy got Rosie toys" Jasper whined
"Jasper your sister doesn't have any girl stuff here. She doesn't want to play with your trucks all day" I said
"But I want them!" Jasper said before having a tantrum in the car
He went to bed very late last night "Jasper stop it now or we won't have a playdate today and you can go to bed" I warned
As Jasper calmed down I pulled into Kate's driveway. "What do you say to Mommy for acting that way?" I asked
"Sorry Mommy" Jasper said
"Mama" Nicola said nervously as she looked at the house
"Its okay baby you're going to play" I said as I got out the car. I put Rosalie and Jasper's little backpacks with their snacks and toys on them before picking them both up.
Kate answered the door and gasped when she saw Nicola "Oh my goodness look you pretty girl" Kate said "Can I hold you?"
Nicola leaned into Kate's arms which surprised me then I tried to put Jasper down but he clung to me. "Jasper you and your sister are going to play" I said as I put him down
"No Mommy I wanna stay with you" he said before starting to cry. Nicola noticed this tried to get out of Kate's arms. "Mama!" she cried
"Mommy will see you soon" I said before leaving
Work couldn't go by any slower all day I was picturing Nicola crying in Kate's house all day. I saw Aro getting out his car as I got out of mine.
"Hey you. How was finally going back to work?" he asked me
"Great but I was thinking about the kids all day" I said
"They're fine" Aro said before knocking on the door
Kate answered with Alice on her hip. "Hello! The kids were so good" she said as she put Alice down
"How was Nicola?" I asked
"Oh she cried a little bit when you left but Emmett made her feel better" Kate said
"Mommy!" Jasper said as he dropped the car he was playing with and got up from where he was sitting
"Hi big boy! Were you good?"
"Yeah" he said
I carried him upstairs with me following Kate and Aro to the playroom. "Nicola Emmett your Mommy and Daddy are here!" Kate said
Nicola and Emmett barely noticed us and continued to play with race cars.
"You didn't miss Daddy buba?" Aro asked as he walked over to the kids "I want to play with Nicola. Can she come to our house?" Emmett asked
"Maybe some other time she has to go home now and so do you. We're going to get Papa and then go to dinner"Aro said as he picked Emmett up
"Nicola lets go you have a photoshoot" I asked
Nicola put her car away before walking over to me. I put her on my hip with Jasper before turning to Kate. "Thank you Kate I owe you one" I said as took the twins to the car
I drove Nicola to her photo shoot where Lisa her manager took her inside after I kissed her cheek.
I then drove to the house where Carlisle was sitting with Edward on his lap as they watched television.
"Hi Mommy" Edward said
"Hi baby how was school?" I asked as I put Jasper down
"Good. Are we going to the beach house?" Edward asked
"Yes we are. Not too soon though" I said
"Where's Rosalie?" Edward asked
"She's at a photo shoot she'll be back soon" I said
"I want milk" Jasper whined "Please Mommy" he fussed
"Okay go potty first and I'll bring it to you" I said as I bent down to kiss his forehead before sending him upstairs "I think he might be coming on with a cold"
"Yeah he had a bit of a cough this morning" Carlisle said
"Why didn't you tell me I wouldn't have let him go to Kate's he could've gotten her kids sick" I said with a sigh
"It slipped my mind. You should rest Edward and I will go get Rosalie" Carlisle said as he stood up and kissed me
Carlisle's POV:
I held Edward's hand as we entered the Hello Kitty place. I smiled when I saw Nicola having a sn"ack with some other kids. "Daddy!" Nicola said when she saw me
"Hi princess" I said as I picked her up "Did you have fun?"
"Yeah" she said
"She did really good" Lisa had as she handed me an envelope and a bag "Here are a few of her pictures from today and some gifts she got. We'll call you for her other jobs"
"Okay thank you" I said "Lets go home to Mommy" I said as I took her to the car and buckled her in "I got toys" Nicola said
"You did? And what did you do?" I asked as I started driving home
"I took pictures. Here Edward" Nicola said as she handed Edward a small train. "You can have that one and Jasper will have the other one" Nicola said
"Thank you" Edward said
"That's so nice sharing with your brothers" I said as I pulled into our driveway. Edward unbuckled himself before he helped Nicola. I got out the car and put Nicola on my hip and grabbed her stuff before going to knock on the door. I know I shouldn't always be carrying her but I missed all the moments when she couldn't walk so I'll take any chance I can get to carry her.
Esme answered the door with Jasper who is sleeping in her arms. "Hi baby girl" Esme said as she let us in and kissed Nicola's cheek "I ordered pizza we're going to eat and then take baths" she said as she tried to take Nicola from me
Nicola whimpered and held my shirt "Daddy" she whined. She's still a bit timid when it comes to Esme. "I'll change her clothes" I said as I brought Nicola upstairs
"You don't want Mommy to get you dressed?" I asked her as I lifted her dress off and took her tights off
"I want Daddy" Nicola said. I smiled at her as I dressed her in a blue nightgown. "Go potty and then we'll eat" I said
I watched her run to her bathroom before heading to the kitchen. "Daddy" Jasper said as he walked over to me with his arms up "Hey buddy. I thought you were tired" I said as I picked him up and kissed his cheek
"I feel better" Jasper said "Where's Rosie?"
"She's coming downstairs" I said as I put him in his chair
"Pizza!" Edward said as he came downstairs with Nicola
"Come sweetie lets get you in your chair" Esme said as she picked up Nicola. Nicola fussed until Esme put her down.
"What's the matter with her? She was fine with me earlier" Esme asked me
"I think something changed while she was at modeling. Victoria used to always take her" I whispered "She'll get over it"
After dinner Esme and I packed for our beach trip while the kids got ready for bed.
Esme's POV:
TWO DAYS LATER:
Today we're going to the beach house. We now call Nicola Rosie or Rose but she still won't respond to Rosalie unless Edward or Jasper say it. She still calls me Mama but she mostly won't call me anything or she'll say Esme which I don't like.
"Here Esme" Rose said to me as she handed me her empty cereal bowl
"Baby I'm Mama. Call me Mama" I said as I crouched down to her level. She walked away from me and followed Jasper up to his room.
Kate, Garret, Aro, Elezear, and the kids are joining us on our trip. We do this every year.
"The van is packed are we ready to go with snacks and other things?" Carlisle said as he came upstairs.
"Yes I'll get the kids" I said
Carlisle stopped me before I left. "If you let her see that you're upset it'll make her thinks she's going back. She knows what she's doing"
"I just want her to love me like she loves-"
"We ready Daddy we ready" Rosalie said as she came downstairs in her little sweater and her princess backpackon her back. Jasper and Edward are behind her.
"Okay lets go" Carlisle said as he picked her up
After all the kids were settled in the car we put movies in we started the drive. Kate and everyone are following us to the house.
About thirty minutes into the trip the kids started fussing.
"No Rosie that's my book" Jasper whined when Rosalie took his book away when he finished
"Jasper you need to share" I said
"Here Jasper you can have this book" Edward said and handed Jasper his picture book
"No I want mine!" Jasper said cried before scratching Rosalie's hand and taking his book away
"Ow!" Rosalie screamed before she started crying
"I think its time for lunch" Carlisle said as he pulled near a grass clearing
I heard a smack noise and then Jasper started crying. We got out the car as Kate and a Garret did.
"It's a good thing we stopped the girls were getting annoyed with each other" Kate said as she put a whining Alice on her hip
"I know hell is about to break loose back there" I said as I opened the door and picked up Rosalie who's still crying. "You're okay" I said as I rubbed her back
"I want Daddy" she sniffed
"Shhh come on lets have some food" I said before turning to Edward "Sweetie you want to sit with Bella? You can go sit with your friend just take your lunch" I said as I grabbed his lunch box with my free hand and gave it to him before he ran off
"Say sorry to your sister" Carlisle said as he walked over to me with Jasper who's not crying anymore
"Sorry" Jasper sniffed
"Sorry" Rosalie said
"Give kisses" I said as I leaned then closer together and they kissed on the lips.
"Excuse me can Rosie eat with me please?" Emmett as he walked over to me
"Yes of course she can" I said as I put Rosalie down and handed her a lunch box
"Looks like all the kids ditched us" I said as I sat down on the grass with Carlisle when Jasper ran to Alice with his lunch
"I'm just ready for them to eat and then fall asleep in the car"
On our way back Rosalie rode with Emmett in Aro's car and the boys stayed with us.
I can't wait for Rosalie to experience our special time on the beach house with us.
Hopefully she'll forget about Victoria and move on.
