Major's POV

I couldn't fuckin' believe that the so called Kings of the vampires would break their own fuckin' law just to become more powerful. Unfortunately for them they didn't know about all of the gifts that we had on our side. They didn't know it yet, but they were dead men walkin'.

Although if we could get out of this without killin' then that would be great, but Aro was just too arrogant and he actually believes that he could come against the Major and win. Now like I said we had a plan and it would be the kids themselves that would get all of us out of this mess, but first we were gonna get rid of some of his guard members.

After Aro motioned for the kids to be brought along as well as Bella and I; Alice came to me and Edward went to Bella. They were feelin' smug, joyous and excited, but the smiles they had on their faces were about to be wiped off.

Edward tried to pull Bella into a hug, but she pushed him away and said, "Don't you fuckin' touch me you bastard. I will never allow you to touch me, ever. I would rather die than to have your filthy hands on any part of my body. Get the fuck away from me!"

"You'll soon change your tune. So will Jasper because if either one of you make Alice or I unhappy it will be those stupid ugly brats that will pay the consequences. Keep that in mind! Now give me a hug and we'll talk later about your language."

She once again stepped back and then spit in his face. He had his hand raised to slap her, but Aro told him to stop, that he had a better way of getting her to comply to Edward. He looked at Jane and then I felt her gift being used on me. The pain sent me to my knees.

Alice tried to console me, but I didn't want her touchin' me for any reason and I was able to growl at her. She didn't fuckin' back off and if it wasn't for the pain her ass would be in pieces and ash.

Aro, Edward and even Caius were smilin' now. That is until it was suddenly stopped and I looked up to see that Bella was smilin' which meant she was usin' her shield on me and then suddenly Jane, Alec and the rest of the guard were up in the air.

I made sure that Aro was listenin' and then I told him, "Sorry Aro, but none of us are goin' anywhere, but you will be leavin' and takin' the idiots with you or you will be losin' your guard and possibly your lives. We'll give you about thirty seconds to let go of our children before we start killin'."

"Major, you will be coming with us or else we'll kill one of the children right now," Aro replied.

The shock on Aro's face was priceless as Josh spoke up, "Aro, you can't be allowed to hurt any of us and you can't stop us from killin' anyone here. So I suggest that you watch and learn."

The guards that had been holdin' on to the kids were also lifted up in the air and then Josh used his gift on one of the guard members showin' them that he had perfect control of his shield by crushin' the guard's hand. I really didn't want my kids to kill if at all possible.

Suddenly I heard a gasp and looked over to see that Edward had Bella's head in a way that he could rip it off. Unfortunately for him our kids stepped in before I could move. He was lifted up and then Mina said, "Don't you ever touch our mama again! She doesn't want your cooties and she doesn't want you. She loves our daddy and you will never touch her again!"

Josh stepped in and said, "Wait Mina ,before you do that let's show the Volturi what we are capable of. Brianna, how about you use your gift to try to knock some sense into the stupid vampire, but don't rip him apart. I have already shown them what I can do when I crushed that guys hand."

Brianna then proceeded to throw Edward into trees, boulders and even on the ground hard. We could see cracks in his skin so she wasn't bein' easy on the idiot. A couple of times Josh would raise his shield so that Edward's body would be slammed into it. After about five minutes I told Brianna that it was enough, but she wasn't through. She was very upset that he had called them 'stupid ugly brats'.

Brianna then used her gift and I felt fear from Aro as he watched our daughter rip Edward apart and he landed all over the area. He wasn't completely gone unless he was burned.

Cauis had the stupidity to step forward and demand that she stop immediately. She just threw him into some large trees.

There was no one to stop us except for Aro, Caius and Alice. Edward was still tryin' to heal from bein' ripped apart, Carlisle and Esme had put him back together. Aro did look up at Jane and Alec and it was a signal for them to use their gifts. The only ones that it was effective on was all of the ones in the air as Josh had his shield around them as soon as he saw what they were goin' to try.

Aro then spoke up and said the stupidest thing I've ever heard come out of his mouth, "Major, I demand that you stop this immediately, get your children under control and release my guard and come along quietly. There is no hope of you being able to fight the inevitable which is to either watch your children die a very slow, painful death or to live peaceably with us."

"You know what, you are a very stupid vampire. My daddy is better than you'll ever be and he will never allow you to take us. If you think that you can defeat us then bring it on idiot!" Katelyn yelled.

By this time Edward was back together and I saw Mina turn her gaze on him. Next thing I knew he was makin' goo goo eyes at Aro. I had to laugh as Aro realized just what had happened. Mina made Edward believe that he was mated to Aro! It was quite funny to watch Aro try to run and the other two brothers back away from him as well.

Mina makin' Edward believe that he was Aro's mate was so fuckin' funny, and the other brothers were feelin' disgusted with Aro. They were so busy tryin' to get away from Aro while he was busy tryin' to get away from Edward, which was almost impossible because he was faster than Aro was, that they never paid much attention as Brianna released the guard members one by one.

They were asked two questions as they came down. One, do you still wish to serve as a guard member? Two, even if the brothers wish for you to come after us will you obey them in that? Most of them just wanted to get away from all of the killin' although there were a few that wanted to stay with the Volturi, but would leave us alone. Turns out we only had to kill about five of them as they felt that we needed to be destroyed as we were too much of a danger to the Volturi.

See the thing is Josh's shield, as well as his mama's, made Chelsea's gift useless. So none of the guard members were under her control any more. Before we allowed any of the guard to leave I gave them a warnin', "Any of you try to come after my coven or any of us individually and I can promise a very slow, painful death. Stay away from here and stay away from the Volturi. I can and will come after any one of you that breaks either of these rules. Is that clear?"

The next step was my favorite. Aro and his brothers would be goin' back to Italy, but they were gonna take Edward and Alice with them, but the shit that Mina did with Edward's mind would stay and so Aro would be either forced to kill him or beg us to have Mina take back what she had done.

After the guard was gone except for a select few like his most prized guard which included Felix, Demetri, Jane and Alec we were now ready to allow the rest of them to leave as long as they promised not to go after the ones that had left, but before they had a chance to leave we still had Alice to deal with.

So Mina made her think that Felix was her mate and it was fuckin' hilarious watchin' a huge vampire like Felix runnin' like his life depended on it from the tiny vampire Alice. Of course Aro wasn't havin' much luck stayin' away from Edward as he kept tryin' to kiss him.

It was Marcus who spoke up for his brother and Felix, "Major, please, if you would have the child remove the thoughts that she has given these two. I will personally guarantee that they will stay with us. Maybe allow the child to make them think that they are mated to each other? And that they are part of the guard because they want to be. Would that be acceptable to you?"

I looked at my mate and she smiled and nodded lettin' me know that she would accept that deal, but I still had to warn them, "Remember our deal. You will never go after any of us EVER and you will leave those that of their own free will chose to leave the Volturi. Swear on your lives that you will not break your word and I will have my daughter do as you have asked, but remember this, I will know if you have broken your word and I promise that we will come after you. Understood?"

"Of course Major, I can only imagine the upheaval that having Edward chase Aro and Alice chasing Felix would cause. Like you we also choose to live a peaceful life. Well as peaceful as being the rulers of the vampires is concerned. Please just do it and we'll be gone." Caius said.

Mina did as I told her to and changed their thoughts so that they thought they were each others mate. It was funny to see them in mid stride to stop and turn to look at each other. Personally I thought it was gross, as my oldest daughter Katelyn would say, to watch them kissin' and slobberin' all over each others faces.

They actually had to be pulled along by Felix and Demetri. At least we had won and we could finally live in peace. Well as peacefully as any parent could that was raisin' four kids, but that was the one thing that I was quite happy about. If only I had known what was gonna happen. . .

Ten Years Later. . .

Bella's POV

Its been ten years since our dealings with the Volturi. They have kept their word and left the ones that fled alone. They have also left us alone, but of course we knew everything they did or said. See, Mina did something that none of the three kings knew about. She put some thoughts into a couple of the gifted guard members and they became our eyes and ears.

They are still loyal to the brothers, but they are also loyal to us. They just simply inform us of anything that might be of interest to us. Like Alice and Edward bein' sent on a mission here in America so we know to watch for them.

Ethan, Beth and Carly come often to visit us and sometimes stay for a while. They have become an important part of our family.

Carly finally found her mate in a young vampire that was actually just a newborn when he showed up. He had felt the mating pull and followed it to find Carly. This was about four years after our run in with the Volturi. While he wasn't attracted to her blood he was still having problems with his control so Ethan and Beth took him into their coven and helped him become a strong, controlled vampire.

Since Carly wasn't aging they had decided to leave her like she is and so of course she got pregnant. She so far has three very handsome young men. Her oldest Brett, is actually Katelyn's mate. She practically refuses to leave his side. Of course she didn't understand what or why she was feeling what she did, but once she was grown or at least the equivalent of a teenager she finally picked up on what it was.

She came to both her dad and I in tears and sobbed. She was afraid of all of these new feelings just like any young teenage girl would. With love, patience and honesty, her dad explained all about mates and what it meant for both. He also explained about how he had fought when he first met me and told her how he had almost destroyed the best thing ever besides her and her siblings.

They were married three months ago and still haven't come back from their honeymoon. Unfortunately for Brett, with Jasper as his prospective father-in-law he was watched like a hawk to make sure that he kept his hands as well as other parts of his body away from Katelyn until after the wedding.

I thought it was stupid because of who he had been, but even after the wedding the thought of his baby girl having sex would cause him to want to go and rip poor Brett apart. The same happened with the other two girls of course.

Brianna had found herself a nice young man that was human when she first met him. They dated awhile and she fell madly in love with him. The problem was that he was human and we would have to tell him the truth about us. She was terrified that he would run and that made it even worse because if he did, he might have to be killed.

She knew that this was the one meant for her and so she just couldn't leave him alone. He was her cowboy as she had always called him because he had inherited his father's very large ranch. One night she came home in tears because the young man who's name was Colt had proposed to her.

He had a very special way of proposing. She loved baseball and so he had taken her to a game a couple of hours away. In the middle of the game the billboards all lit up with the question, "I love you and need you in my life. Will you marry me Katelyn Whitlock?"

She ran out of the stadium because of her fear that he wouldn't be able to accept us or what she is without giving him an answer. She loved him with everything that's within her, but she was terrified of the thought that he would reject us and what she is and he might have to be killed.

She would rather live without him than have to know that because he couldn't handle the truth that he was dead. It was her father that was trying to tell her that he could feel the love from Colt for her when we got the phone call from Ethan who was working at the hospital.

Apparently the young man had followed her in his car and had been hit head on by a drunk driver. It didn't take us long to get to the hospital. Colt was dying and there was nothing that could be done, at least by human means. Katelyn got him to wake up long enough to tell him what we were and that his life could be saved only by becoming like us. My wonderful husband and loving father to our children took our soon to be son-in-law and took him out of the hospital.

After we were back home he quickly bit him and he went through the change with a few close calls. His heart had been slightly damaged and so his heart had to be pumped by Jasper until it was once again strong enough to pump the venom on its own. Sadly, both Katelyn and I lost our mates for about six months.

Jasper had to take him up into the mountains in order to keep the ones in the family that had blood safe. He was every bit a normal newborn and had tried to attack Josh. He was so feral that I was afraid for my daughter that she might lose him anyway. Some people just never seem to be able to handle becoming a vampire and Jasper has destroyed many like that.

A month after they got back Katelyn and Colt were married. It was a small affair, but both the bride and groom were beaming with love and devotion to each other. They had a beautiful honeymoon and then came back with her very much pregnant. She gave birth to twin boys, but something went wrong during the delivery and her uterus was shredded. One of them couldn't wait and tore its way out of her.

Although she did heal even with venom in her body it didn't heal right and she can no longer have children. It didn't matter to either of them as they were so happy with their boys, Caleb and Charles. Yeah, they named one of their boys after my dad.

Josh is still too busy to find a mate at the moment. He went to medical school, but went into research. He wants to find a cure for some of the most deadly diseases known to humans. He took after his uncle Ethan and even his 'grandfather' Carlisle.

Mina found herself a vampire, his name is John and it was for the best. She has little patience and a very bad temper. Only a vampire can handle her. Sadly we have had to rebuild the house that we built for them several times because of her temper. She's so much like her daddy, but we wouldn't change a single thing.

Mina did do something very very special for her uncle Emmett and Aunt Rose. She knew that they had always wanted to have a child of their own and so before she met her mate she offered to carry a child for them. Rose cried for days after Mina had been artificially inseminated with some of Emmett's sperm and found to be pregnant.

This was her special gift to them as she loved them dearly. She had a special bond with both of them and so she wanted to do something special for them. She gave birth to twin girls just the opposite of her sister, but only because she had her uncle Ethan give her fertility treatments.

Em and Rose were over the moon with their two daughters and Mina was content to give up the tiny lives she had carried just to see them happy. She had decided then that she didn't want her own children because she just didn't want the burden of having to take care of someone so tiny. It wasn't that she couldn't, it was just that she somehow knew her mate would be a vampire and one who just had other things he'd rather do than raise a child.

Unfortunately for them that wasn't to be the case. The condoms that they used as well as the shots she took to keep herself from getting pregnant didn't work. The venom in sperm we found out later actually caused holes in the condoms and the shots like most medicine didn't work on a hybrid.

So far they have a girl who is only a couple of months old. They named her Crystal and she's absolutely beautiful of course. Grandpa Jasper has her spoiled rotten much to the dismay of his daughter. Sadly it was just a couple of weeks ago that our grand kids had to see the Major in action.

My mate, husband and lover was devastated. Several of the grand kids became afraid of him, but the boys are wanting to see him fight again. He doesn't want that life anymore and to have to fight in front of the kids hurt him deeply. It wasn't his fault, but it couldn't have been avoided either.

Four nomads came through because they could smell the blood from the hybrids. They knew that there were other vampires here and were going to fight them for it if necessary. Sadly everyone was gone except for the grand kids and Jasper. Everyone else was either working or hunting, so in order to save the kids he became the ruthless monster he had always thought himself to be once more and destroyed the four who threatened to kill his family.

Several of the girls ran away from him when he tried to approach them after he had burned the bodies and by the time I got back home he was curled up in a ball on our bed sobbing. It took the grand kids coming in and all gathering around him and telling him that yes some of them were afraid of him at first, but that he's their papaw and no matter what they love him. It still took a while for the pain to leave his eyes.

After the kids went to bed Jasper said he had a surprise for me and carried me high up into the mountains. There was a cave that was empty and I suspected that he had emptied it by feeding off of the bear that had been hibernating in there as it smelled like a bear had been there a few days before we got there.

Once there he started a small campfire and laid me down. He removed my clothes and then his own. As he made love to me it felt like his soul met mine and joined once more. He was very tender, loving and yet passionate. I knew once again that I loved this man, this vampire more than my own life.

My heart melted once again when he finally spoke up and said exactly what I had been thinking, "I love you more than my own life. I wonder what others would think when they hear about 'The Major's Fall'?"

"Do you really care? Now shut up and make love to me again Major!"

"Yes ma'am!" He replied and did just that. . .

A/N Please share your thoughts. Sadly this is the end. I know that I said one or two more chapters but I was able to end it with this one. I hate that its over but at the same time I'm pleased with how this journey went. I hope that you were as well. Things happened that when I started this story I never thought would happen. The direction changed so many times from where I had intended but I like where it went and ended. At this point I can't promise a new story because I'm fighting my own health issues as well as my husband's. I can promise that I will still be around and maybe soon once everything has been settled I'll write another story.

Don't worry I still have to finish Wounded Soldier but it too is almost done. I don't want to leave any story unfinished. I am sad that I've had such wonderful reviews and yet have never been nominated for anything except for finishing a story. But I didn't write to win anything, I wrote because I loved writing and using my favorite characters. I will be back just not as soon as I would have liked. I need to take care of my family and myself first.
