Esme's POV:
"Rose woke up early and saw me leaving and I couldn't say no to her and took her with me" Carlisle wrote on a piece of paper at the door
I told him not to take her because she still needs to get to know me and he took her any way.
"Mommy are you mad?" Jasper asked me as I sliced bananas at the counter
"No baby I'm just a little tired"
"You should go night night then" Jasper said as he hugged my knees
"Yes I should" I said as I put him on my hip and finished breakfast with my free hand. "Kids come eat!" I said
"Where's Rosalie?" Kate asked as we ate our banana blueberry pancakes
"Carlisle took her home with him" I said with an eye roll
"Can we go swimming today Mommy?" Jasper asked as he finished up his food
"Yes of course baby" I said as I got up. Garret stopped me from taking dishes "You ladies have done enough go relax by the pool" he said before kissing Kate's cheek
"Esme your eyebrows are so close together I want to straighten them out for you" Kate said as we sat the pool in beach chairs
"I'm sorry I'm just so mad at Carlisle right now. Its like he doesn't care that I want to develop a relationship with my daughter! I want her to love me and we were getting somewhere"
"I think he just doesn't want you to be stressed out. Her tantrums get really bad sometimes"
"She's three! It happens" I said "He should have talked to me first"
"Okay relax relax. Don't waste our break we have about thirty minutes till the kids come"
Carlisle's POV:
I took Rosalie to the hospital with me and she had fun. She played with some of the other kids there. We're on our way out for lunch now.
"Did you have fun princess?" I asked Rosalie as I drove to a drive by burger spot not to far away from the house. Rosalie's dressed in a navy blue dress and I put her hair up in ponytail with a blue headband.
"Yeah I wanna come back" she said
"Well Daddy has to go back at eight so that's when we'll go okay?" I said
"Kay" she said
I sat in the back of the car with Rosalie as we ate our burgers and fries. "Maybe we should call Mommy" I said just before my phone ringing
"Oh its Mommy" I said as I opened facetime and gave Rosalie the phone
"Hi baby. Where's Daddy?" I heard Esme. So much for me getting time to think of an explanation. I took the phone from Rosalie "Hi honey" I said as I got out the car
"Carlisle you should've woke up me so I could get her. She should be here with us! Do you not care that I want a relationship with her too?"
"Of course I care, I just didn't want to leave her here crying her eyes out for me-"
"She has her brothers and friends here that would make her feel better. I'm coming back to get her" Esme said
"No Esme don't do that. That will make things worse for her if you rip her away from me" I
"Rip Carlisle? Like Victoria ripped her away from us? I'm not some random person Carlisle I'm her mother!"
"Esme you have to understand to her you are a random person sometimes" I said
"How could you say that? You remember when she called me Mama? She felt something"
"No Esme she didn't think she was staying with us. She thought this was only for a little while and if James was a father to her she wouldn't be so close to me" I said
"I was getting somewhere with her Carlisle and I'm coming to get her. Emmett, Jasper, and I are on our way now"
"She's going to cry her eyes out the whole way home" I said "And when I have to come back and get her it'll be worse"
Esme hung up on me. "Daddy is Esme mad at me because I don't say Mommy?" Rosalie asked me when I got to the car
"Honey she's not mad you, but it makes her sad when you call her Esme. Why don't you call her Mommy? You know she's your Mommy right?"
"No Mama is she's just not back for me yet" Rosalie said looking me right in the eye
"Baby Esme and I are your Mommy and Daddy. You and Jasper came out of Esme's belly" I explained
"But she wasn't there and you weren't" Rosalie said
"You were taken from us honey. You were supposed to be here, do you understand?"
"I just want Mama" she said
Esme's POV:
I didn't think Carlisle could be so immature but he and Rosalie weren't at the hospital when I went up there with the kids.
"Where is she?" Emmett asked
"I don't know boys. Lets go get something to eat, how does pizza sound?"
"Great!" Jasper said as I picked him up
I texted Carlisle as the boys ate at the pizza shop not too far from the house. I have the keys so if Carlisle wants to play games with me then we will stay at the house tonight.
Where the hell are you guys? You really dropped your shift to avoid me? She's a child not a toy. I texted
He answered two minutes later
I'm letting Rosalie visit Victoria at the prison. We're waiting now and then her grandmother also wants to see Rosalie. I think this will help her see you as her real mom. She feels as though you've snatched her away from Victoria and that needs to change.
And if she ends up getting more upset that she isn't with Victoria than what? I texted
I don't know. Maybe therapy.
Victoria's POV:
They told me I'm getting visitor today. I know its my mother, making sure I'm okay. I hope she has some type of update on Nicola now. She told me she hasn't seen her since I went to jail.
I almost burst into tears when I saw my baby sitting in a chair. Carlisle is sitting in a chair farther away from the table.
"Mama!" Nicola said before sliding out her chair and running to me
I crouched down to her level and wrapped my arms around her. "Oh Nicola Mama didn't think she'd see you in a very long time!" I cried as I lifted her up into my arms and sat in a chair with her
"Are you being good? Do you like your Mommy and Daddy?" I asked her in Russian
"Your Mommy" she said as she played with my hair. I don't want to tell her this but Nicola needs to learn to love Esme and Carlisle as her parents. She's not mine anymore but I would love if they'd still let me and my mother see her.
"Baby you have two Mommy's that love you very very much. You don't need to be scared and it won't make Mama mad if you call her Mommy too okay?"
"Okay" Nicola said "Can I still see you too?"
"If you're a good girl I'm sure you can come again but you have to behave" I said before kissing her cheek
"Okay" she said "I love you Mama"
"I love you too babygirl" I said
Carlisle's POV:
Esme was at the house ready to take Rosalie when we got back from the prison. Esme crouched down to Rosalie's level.
"Sweetie I know you want to stay with Daddy but he has to work so Mommy's going to take you back to the beach house with us okay? You'll see Daddy soon" Esme said
To my surprise Rosalie nodded her head "Okay"
"Give Daddy a kiss goodbye" Esme said
Rosalie turned around and ran to me. I picked her up and gave her a kiss. "You have fun. I love you"
"Love you" she said as I put her down before I picked up Jasper and gave him a kiss "I love you buddy you be good"
Esme said nothing to me as she grabbed Rosalie's elephant before putting her on her hip. Rosalie waved goodbye to me before Esme closed the door behind all of them.
I need to figure out a way to make it up to Esme.
Esme's POV:
"We're going to have so much fun at the beach house" I said to Rosalie as I strapped her in before handing her the elephant.
"Thank you Mommy" Rosalie said
Next chapter will be a few months forward to the summer time! The kids will start summer activities!
