A/N I'm truly sorry for the long wait for this chapter but I've been working two jobs and haven't really even had time to write much. I did a little bit every night after I got home. Thanks to my special friend OoJasper'sAngeloO for her awesome beta work and to my pre-reader who also gave me the idea for this story, jascat. Jasper's POV

When we had gotten close to Forks Peter yelled to follow him. Although he didn't know the town and neither did I, I had no hesitation in followin' him. His knower was tellin' him to go a certain way and since the pull was takin' me in the same direction I didn't have a problem with doin' what he had said.

Oddly enough we were runnin' alongside the road that led into town. Maybe the cops were already there and we would need the advance warnin' so we wouldn't be exposed to them. It didn't take us long to realize that the cops hadn't gotten there. They couldn't have because the cruiser that had Bella's father in it was pretty banged up and we heard the radio which was workin' tell him that they were on their way and to hold on.

He was trapped and couldn't get out so I sent him some lethargy so he wouldn't see what we would have to do in order to get him out. We quickly turned the car right side up and checked the human. He was bleedin' badly and I knew he was dyin'. I couldn't allow that because he was my mates father and it would kill her if he died.

This meant that no one was there to help my mate either. I quickly called Emmett and told him what was going on. I told him that he might want to tell Edward what was going on with his mate, thinkin' that maybe he could get there before we did. I didn't care who the fuck stopped the boys as long as they were stopped before they could really hurt either girl.

Fortunately they had just gotten back from huntin' and they took off towards the building as the whole family had heard what I told Emmett. I yelled for them to hurry and then turned my attention back to the man that was dying on the ground now. Peter had gently pulled him free of the wreckage.

I couldn't just leave him here to die, but I needed to get to my mate. I had Peter carry him away from the scene so that I could have time to ask him if he wanted to live. Our place was too far at this point so we just stopped when we were a few miles away from the scene. He was still breathin', but it was a struggle for him. He woke up just as Peter laid him down on some grass.

I was desperate to get to the place where my mate said they were holdin' her friend, but if I just left now he would die. There's no way that I could do that to her. She loved her father deeply and it would hurt her even worse if she found out that I left him to die. So I asked him if he could understand me and he nodded that he could.

I explained that I was his daughter's boyfriend, but because of some things goin' on I had asked her to keep me a secret from everyone. Then realizin' I didn't have time for a full explanation he might die before I could even finish. So I just spit it out, "Charlie, I know right now that Bella is in very grave danger, But you are dyin' and I can't just leave you here. I know that you were on your way to help her, did you call for backup?"

He nodded again and I realized that it must be too hard for him to talk so I just went on, "Great Charlie. I don't have time to go into a long story so I'm just goin' to spit it out. I need to get to Bella before she gets hurt or worse. I'm a vampire. So are my friends here and so are the Cullens. Now I'm sure that you probably don't believe me, but its the truth. The only reason that I'm tellin' you is because I can save your life. You need to decide if you want to live as one of us or do you want us to let you die?

I'll have to bite you to start the change and its the most painful thing ever, but you'll be alive and better than ever once you wake up. Well after your newborn stage anyway. The thing is that I know how deeply Bella loves you and she would want you to change so that she could keep you around forever. I don't have time to go into all the details of becomin' a vampire, but you can have a choice of either animal or human blood, but I need to know now. I need to get to Bella so I'll bite you and then Char here can stay with you until we get Bella. What do you say, want to join us or leave your daughter behind?"

I knew that was a fuckin' low blow, but I was desperate for him to agree because Bella would be beyond hurt if he were killed trying to help her. My remark hurt, but it had the desired effect. His last words to me as a human was, "I may not understand everything, but I can see the worry and pain in your eyes and written all over your face. Do what you must do, but please just save my girl and if it doesn't work out, please tell her how much I love her. Bite me." His voice was barely a whisper.

I knew that Char might have a workout ahead of her. His heart was having trouble pumpin' the blood through his body, so she might have to pump it for him until his heart was strong enough to pump on its own. I quickly sunk my teeth into his neck and pumped as much venom as I could into him. Once that was done I sealed the bite and then ordered Char to use her venom to try to stop the cuts that were bleedin' the most. I hated askin' her, but I knew she had enough control that she could do it without drainin' him. With one last look at Char I was about to tell her to take care of him when it hit me.

I had stood up to take off, but the intense horror, fear and sense of loss knocked me to my knees. I was tryin' to clear my head long enough to get up and run and it took me a minute to be able to push those emotions away. I jumped up and took off. I had no clue if Peter was followin' or not and right now I didn't fuckin' care. Those emotions were comin' from my mate. Someone would be dead before the night was over!

Peter was right beside me and I could feel that we were almost there. Suddenly I felt the most intense pain, like something sharp bein' shoved into my body. I was stopped in my tracks from the intensity of it, but it changed again to absolute horror and then a sense of defeat. With a roar I took off again. It didn't take long to find the building which was gratefully set apart from other buildings.

The smell of blood was strong and it was Bella's as well as Lillian's. There were also at least eight other heartbeats and those bastards were dead, they just didn't know it yet. They were all feelin' smug and proud of themselves. They would die a very slow and painful death. They thought they were about to leave, but I would make sure to change their plans quickly.

There were two doors to leave the building from so I sent Peter around to the back door while I would go through the front. We both timed it perfectly and went in quietly. We didn't want to alert any humans that might be around to our presence. I wanted time to make these bastards payed painfully. It took every ounce of control not to just crash through the doors, but I did it.

I saw the boys, as a group, headin' towards the back. They were about to meet their worst nightmare in one Peter Whitlock. He came in and they froze in their tracks. They of course started the same stupid mundane questions, "Who are you? What do you want?"

"He's your second worst nightmare!" I growled out.

The one that seemed to be the leader laughed and said, "Yeah and who's the first one?"

"That would be me!" I growled out.

Most of the boys were now feelin' what they all should have been feelin', fear. The two that seemed to be the leaders laughed and said, "In case you haven't figured it out yet, because apparently you're too stupid to add up; there's eight of us and only two of you. I think the odds are in our favor especially since we have this." His words were spat out and he held up a very bloody knife that was about eight inches long and curved.

Peter and I just both smiled at them because they were dead. I could smell my mates blood on that knife. I told Peter usin' vampire speed that we would deal with them later, my mate needed help. I noticed a smaller walk-in freezer and quickly, usin' my gift, knocked all of them out. Peter told me to go find Bella and that he would throw them into the freezer until we had time to deal with them.

I was in the large freezer in half a second and was roarin' in another. My beautiful Bella was tied down along with Lillian to a large bed. They were both naked and bleedin' badly, especially Lillian as they had just cut straight up the middle of her body. Bella had three or four stab wounds. Peter, always havin' my back, was on the phone to Emmett within seconds.

They were almost here and I growled out for them to fuckin' hurry. We needed to get everyone, includin' the dead boys, out of here before the police arrived. I was tryin' to figure out how to move both girls when I heard Peter tellin' Emmett that we needed to keep them away. I knew that Emmett would know how to tap into the police band and send them on a wild goose chase at least until we were done here.

I quickly removed my shirt and used it to cover Bella while tellin' Peter to remove his for Lillian. Both were losin' a lot of blood, but I knew for sure that Lillian was dyin'. I needed to act fast in order to save her. I went to Bella and she had come to and I was grateful because I needed to know if she wanted me to turn her friend.

She started cryin' and told me that I had to save Lillian. Not so much for her, but because she is Edward's mate. I understood completely. I knew that he couldn't survive if she didn't. I told her that I wanted Lillian to at least understand what I was about to do and Bella got her to open her eyes. She quickly told her what I was, what Edward was and asked did she want to live.

I'm not sure that the girl understood completely, but she did tell us that she wanted to live. The only time I felt fear from her was when Bella told her that she would die if I didn't turn her. I asked the girl if she wanted me to bite her or if she wanted to wait for Edward to do it. At this point she said for me to just get it over with, even she knew she wouldn't last much longer.

My mate took Lillian's hand even though she was injured herself and nodded for me to do it. I made quick work of bitin' her neck and pumped as much venom into her as I could with one bite. Unfortunately it sounded as if she didn't have enough blood or her heart wasn't strong enough to pump on its own. I started to help her heart to pump the venom, but she was so badly injured.

After a couple of minutes of tryin' to pump her heart I saw Peter do something that shocked me. He pushed the wound closed and then licked it all the way down. I knew he was tryin' to seal the wound so she would stop bleedin' and losin' the venom that I did pump into her. I kept pumpin' until I saw my mate become unconscious. I could hear her heart getting' weaker. I yelled for Peter to take over with Lillan and moved quickly to Bella.

I would have to turn her as well if I wanted her to live. I would bite her and make sure she would live and then the bastards that did this would pay dearly. Just before I was ready to bite her, she came to. Her only thought was what happened to her dad? I had to tell her that we had found him almost dead and that I had already bitten him and he was turnin' right then himself.

She then told me to bite her, she was ready to become like me and spend eternity with me. I bit her and made sure there was enough venom to complete the change. Unfortunately her heart was startin' to give out as well so both Peter and I were helpin' their hearts to continue to beat to spread the venom. This was how Emmett, Rose, Carlisle and Edward found us.

Edward went ballistic because I had bitten his mate and wanted to stop both of us. Carlisle pointed out to him that without me havin' bitten her that she would be dead right now. He checked both of them quickly and then Edward pushed Peter out of the way and took over helpin' her heart to continue to pump. It took another half hour for their hearts to finally beat strong enough on their own.

Rose was even worse. Emmett had to hold her back to keep her from killin' the boys who had done this. I was grateful because the only one doin' any torturing or killin' was gonna be me. Unfortunately it might be a day or two before they would die. I needed to get the girls out of here before the screams started. We were too close to humans and we didn't need anyone investigatin' before the boys met their deaths.

We also now had another problem. There were now gonna be three newborns to deal with. We needed to move them somewhere so their screams wouldn't be overheard and no humans close enough for them to kill. Carlisle told us that he had a huge house in Alaska that was so far away from any humans and there was plenty of wildlife for them to feed on.

I quickly agreed that it would be the best place and Carlisle told me that he would take care of transportation. He had a private plane that could take us directly there and Emmett had a pilots license. That would take care of the problem of any humans hearin' their screams. I still had to take care of the scum locked in the small freezer.

Edward picked up Lillian and I carried my mate. We took them to the house where they were livin'. We would only be there long enough for arrangements to be made for the flight. Carlisle and his mate would have to stay behind so as to not draw suspicion. It was decided that once I had my mate comfortable, as least as comfortable as she could be at the house, that Peter and I would come back and deal with the bastards.

On the way there Rose reminded me of another problem. One that I hadn't even thought of. Alice. I knew that she thought we were mates and while I didn't want to hurt her, I wouldn't have the patience to be kind or gentle in tellin' her that she is definitely not my mate and if she was around when my true mate woke up, she would be torn apart for even lookin' at me.

As soon as we got to the house I knew there was gonna be trouble. Emmett had told Carlisle and Edward how they knew me and apparently Alice had heard that I was here. By the time we got there, she had made up a room for the girls and told me to put Bella in there and then come to our room so we could get to know one another better. She also informed me that she would be comin' with me to Alaska. My only answer, "Fuck no!". . .
