A/N: This is a bit of a filler chapter. Sorry guys.
Thanks: attack on kronos. :)
~ Terra found himself using more and more lies against Kairi's curiousness, especially when she asked him where he'd been and the actual answer was "At Aqua's." ~
69) Lie
"I'm going out," Terra announced curtly, already opening the front door.
"Oh, where are you going?" Kairi asked, without missing a beat.
He knew he had to come up with something boring that she didn't like, otherwise she might just go with him and that was the last thing he wanted.
"...A jog through the park."
Kairi blinked. "Wearing that?"
The brunet man looked at his outfit and bit his tongue at his stupidity. Nothing indicated that he was going to run.
"Yeah. It's good practise for when I'm being chased by a serial killer in the middle of the night. I won't have time to change in my running gear then, now do I?"
Kairi winced at his sharp words. "I suppose you're right..."
She probably didn't fall for that, but at least she left him alone after that.
Terra found himself using more and more lies against Kairi's curiousness, especially when she asked him where he'd been and the actual answer was "At Aqua's."
And he was disgusted by his actions. It was lie after lie after lie. When would it stop? Would it stop at all?
Things were still pretty awkward between them and sometimes he just needed to get away from all that. And he knew that if Aqua's name was mentioned a little too often, the redhead might get suspicious. Not that she had to; there was nothing going on between Aqua and him. How was that even possible if that darned Vanitas was around 24/7, much like a bulldog?
Speaking of which, every time Terra would spot Aqua in the company of another man, from the mailman to Vanitas, his stomach clenched and he wanted to punch a koala. Oh, especially with Vanitas, who seemed to enjoy getting a rise out of Terra like that.
The cocky bastard.
A/N: Next chapter: "I wasn't completely honest the other day when..."
