A/N: Short chapter is short. But then again, trying to update this every day is quite a challenge as well. :P

~ "Terra. It's been a while since I've seen you here." ~
77) Wisdom
The dojo hadn't changed at all. Not that Terra remembered, but he'd seen enough pictures of him and Zack in here, training under the famous Master Eraqus' watchful eye. Well, Zack noted that half of the training had consisted of Terra and Zack beating each other up with sticks, much to Master Eraqus' dismay. Speaking of which, Master Eraqus hadn't changed that much either, save for the fact that his hair had more streaks of grey now.
"Terra. It's been a while since I've seen you here."
Terra bowed his head. Sure, Master Eraqus wasn't judging him or anything, but Terra still felt a little embarrassed for not letting hear anything from him any sooner.
"I've...been busy, Master."
The Master halted his training to look at one of his best pupils. "Something tells me that you are not here to spar."
The young man wasn't even surprised at his tutor's sharpness. If anything, he was glad that the Master took this conversation to the right direction.
"Master, something's bothering me and I don't know what to do."
Eraqus walked over to where the brunet man was standing, and motioned for him to sit down. Terra silently did as he was told.
"Tell me, what is wrong, my son?"
It was at times like these that the Master's scars made him look as if he could handle any challenge that came up his way.
Terra hesitated slightly, before deciding to just go with it and tell him everything without mentioning Aqua's name anywhere. It was not like Master Eraqus would tell Kairi, or anyone else for that matter, but this version made him feel less ashamed of himself. It was as though deep inside, he knew that what he was feeling was wrong. Terra didn't want to lose his Master's respect; according to Zack, Master Eraqus was like a father to him.
"In some cases it is better not to listen to your logic, but to the heart. That will put you back on the right path and open the right doors for you."
Terra blinked, dumbfounded, not expecting that answer. That wasn't exactly what he'd call helpful advice. On the contrary, it only made things harder for him. Besides that, for someone who relied too much on logic, this advice was almost out of character. Then again, who was he to question this man's wisdom when it had saved him on so many occasions?
When he recovered from his initial surprise, he mumbled a quick, "Thank you, Master."
Master Eraqus got up again and gave him a pat on the shoulder. "I am confident that you will find your way, Terra. You may be a late bloomer, but you have always found your way back home."
The question was, what did his heart even want?
A/N: Next chapter: "Admit it, Aqua loves me and you can't take it."
