A/N: Yay, people actually noticed the new character! She's going to get a bigger role in one of the later chapters. She was supposed to be important for the sequel, but alas. :P Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this chapter!
Thanks: Killya008. :)
~ Aqua was more than glad that those two had finally become an item, since they had been beating around the bush for as long as she could remember. It was about time that they started dating; they were a match made in heaven. ~
84) Basket
Thankfully, Aqua was allowed to use one of her eyes now, since the bandage was off her left eye (they had done some small tests on her left eye, only to conclude that nothing was wrong with it). It made life much easier, even if she couldn't always see everything perfectly clear. But at least she was able to distinguish shapes and colors now, and look someone in the eyes when they addressed her. That alone made her feel less nervous, as if she was missing out on something important.
A lot of people had visited her when both her eyes were bandaged, from Vanitas and Leon to Yuffie, Ven and Naminé. Even Sora had showed up at one point. The spiky-haired man had brightened up the room, much like Ven always managed to do. Aqua realized that they hadn't really talked that much lately. Most of it could be blamed on the fact that Vanitas was mad at her, but despite that, he had rushed to her as soon as he'd heard the bad news. Of course, the bluenette had been pleasantly surprised at Vanitas' unannounced visit, but she had also been worried that Terra would walk in on them at the same moment and hell would break loose. Thankfully, no such thing had happened...yet.
Still, she was absolutely thrilled that she could see Zack and Aerith, who were currently visiting her together. They had brought a basket with flowers with them (even though, upon first sight, the flowers in the basket looked like colored dots to her). Apparently, this gift was made by her friends themselves.
"Well, in all honesty it would've been finished much earlier, if Zack here hadn't been so stubborn about reading the guide that came with it."
"Hey!" the black-haired man protested playfully. "Who needs a guide for something as simple as a basket?"
"Well, you certainly do, mister," Aerith quipped, as a smile adorned her angelic face.
It didn't take a genius to guess that they were officially together now. Aqua was more than glad that those two had finally become an item, since they had been beating around the bush for as long as she could remember. It was about time that they started dating; they were a match made in heaven and they certainly made heads turn on the street.
Maybe one day she would be lucky enough to be matched with the love of her life too, Aqua mused.
A/N: And with that, the story's pace slowed down again.
Next chapter: There was an eye-witness that day and you'll never guess who."
