Theater was a gigantic part of Aurora's life. She didn't know how, but she had somehow balanced her dream of acting with her commitment to cheerleading. However that was no longer an option she had been giving the chance to be the head of the theater club. She was going to get to direct the school's production of Hamlet. How could she give up such a wonderful opportunity? She had to quit cheerleading. She had already told Coach Sally but how could she tell her best friend Jasmine and the rest of the squad? They were her friends and always would be. She needed this though. She watched Jasmine getting ready for cheerleading tryouts. She took a deep breath and walked over. "Jaz can we talk?" Jasmine looked up and smiled. "of course Rora" The duo walks a little ways away. Aurora bit her lip. "We'll be friends no matter what right?" Jasmine raised an eyebrow at her blonde friend. "Of course could change that." Aurora relaxed as she spoke her next words, "I've been made head of the theater club." Jasmine's chocolate eyes widen as she hugged her friend. "OMG Aurora that is amazing I'm so happy for you….but wait" She let go of Aurora and frowned "You have to quit cheerleading don't you?" The head cheerleader couldn't believe this. Her best friend in the whole world wouldn't be cheering by her side this year. As upset as she was however, she couldn't ruin this for Aurora. She had worked so hard to get to this point. "I understand Rora it's okay. I'm still your best friend and I'm so proud of you." Aurora smile as the two hugged again. "I was so scared you'd hate me" Jasmine smiles and replied, "Oh Rora that could never happen." The girls ended their hug. "Good luck with auditions Rora." The ex-cheerleader nodded. "And good luck with tryouts Jaz." The two girls parted ways separated but, with a friendship that was stronger than ever.
Everything was going great with auditions so far. Aurora already had in mind who most of the characters would be. She was only missing her two lovers Ophelia and Hamlet. "Next" as an unfamiliar girl took the stage. "Hi I'm Belle." Aurora gestured for the brunette to continue. "My honour'd lord, you know right well you did; And, with them, words of so sweet breath composed As made the things more rich: their perfume lost, Take these again; for to the noble gifts wax poor when givers prove unkind." Belle finished and looked at Aurora. Aurora's violet eyes were wide. This new girl hadn't even used a script and she was so convincing! "Have you ever done this before?" Belle shook her head. "No but, I love the play Hamlet. In fact I love anything that has to do with Shakespeare." Aurora smiled. "Well you're a natural if you want the part it's yours." Belle's hazel eyes light up. "Oh thank you." She ran to her friends. "Chip, Lumiere, Cogsworth I made it." The four friends walked away to celebrate. "Alright next" Just then the principal walks up. "Hello Aurora" She said smiling. "Can I help you Principal Poppins?" The blonde watched as the principal gestures a student over. "This is Adam he is a new student here but is on disciplinary probation. I was wondering if you could find a place for him in your play?" Aurora looked through her cast list. The only part available was Hamlet. She bite her lip pondering her decision. Aurora sighed as she looked up at Principal Poppins. "Yes I do"
Elsa was pacing back and forth nervously in the line for cheer tryouts. She wasn't used to all these people around her. She had been home schooled her entire life until now because Anna, her little sister, just had to be in public school. Ugh why did Anna made me try out for this. Her sister, who always tried to find ways to spend time with Elsa, had somehow convinced her to try out for cheerleading. Another blonde girl in front of her turned around. "Don't worry I'm sure you'll do great." Elsa smiled. "Thank you I'm Elsa." The other girl smiled, "I'm Arista it's nice to meet you." Arista smiled as she looked at her new friend. "Oh it's my turn wish me luck" She bounced over her high pony swaying with her steps. Elsa watched as Arista did a cheer with a flip at the end. She clapped for the only friend she made in her week here. Jasmine, the head cheerleader, thanked Arista and then called out. "Elsa?" Elsa could hear Anna and Arista cheer from the sidelines giving her new-found confidence. She walked up and did her cheer then she went into a back handspring and landed in the splits. Jasmine thanked her and went over all her notes. "great job Elsa!" Anna cheered hugging her sister. Jasmine stood and walked over to the group of wannabe cheerleaders. "Alright the returning cheerleaders are Katrina, Snow White, Lottie, Vanessa, and Malina. The new cheerleaders are Anna, Arista, Anastasia, Drizella, Tinkerbell, Tiger Lily, Eilonwy and Elsa. Welcome girls practice starts tomorrow at 3:30 sharp." With that the raven haired girl turned and went over to her friends. "Congrats Elsa and Anna how about we go get some smoothies my treat." They nodded as they headed out. Elsa smiled. Maybe public school wouldn't be that bad.
