A/N: Three is a charm! Since these chapters are pretty short anyway, I thought why not update one more for today? Hope you'll enjoy this. :D

Thanks: Killya008 and ZalelTribal. :)

~ Then why was he avoiding her gaze? What was Terra not telling her? ~

86) Legitimacy

"By the looks of it, Kairi will get what she deserves," Terra said through gritted teeth, after he'd hung up his phone once again.

"You should go to her," Aqua spoke, nudging him gently.

She knew that despite everything, that would be the right thing to do. As much as she hated to admit it, Kairi could use some support. Besides that, Terra deserved to breathe in some fresh air, and at least he could go out and see the world, whereas Aqua was stuck in this far too white hospital room with yellow curtains blocking her view.

"No way. I'm staying here," he said, resolutely. "What she did was neither legal, nor legitimate. I would never support that kind of behavior from anyone."

To emphasis what he'd just said, he sat down on the empty chair close to her bed and took her cold, pale hand in his warm, strong ones.

"Then are you finally going to tell me who did this to you?" she asked softly, while looking at his black eye and hurt lip.

She'd been dying to ask this ever since she could see out of her left eye.

Terra looked away. "…I fell."

"You fell?" she repeated incredulously.

Someone who had been trained for years under Master Eraqus' watchful eye, couldn't possibly be that clumsy, amnesia or not. How stupid did Terra think she was, really? If he really fell, then why was he avoiding her gaze? What was Terra not telling her?

A/N: Next chapter: "I hope you realize that even with all that bandage covering that pretty face of yours, I still care about you, no matter what you will look like once we can ditch the bandages. Not only your eyes, but everything about you is radiant and beautiful."
