A/N: Can you tell I'm desperately trying to finish this story? :P I think I accidentally upset some of my followers, as they unfollowed me. Oh well. This chapter was supposed to have a Terqua moment at first, but at the last moment I decided to change this around, because it seems more like something Vanitas would do. Either way, enjoy! :D

Thanks: Killya008, and ZalelTribal. :)

~ "I hope you realize that even with all that bandage covering that pretty face of yours, I still care about you, no matter what you will look like once we can ditch the bandages. Not only your eyes, but everything about you is radiant and beautiful." ~

87) Beauty

Vanitas was a tease, really. Ever since she had been in a hospital, he would like to play that silly game where he would say someone's name (either a celebrity or a really handsome guy) so that he could see Aqua's heart rate jump up on the monitor. If he got it high enough, a nurse would come to check up on her. Today, however, the black-haired nurse had been replaced with an older and a rather grumpy one.

"Terra."

Again, Aqua's heart rate was sky rocketing upon hearing that name, but not enough to make the heart rate monitor start beeping.

Aqua frowned at her boyfriend. "Why would you do that?"

Vanitas shrugged. "Just to check how much you had really forgotten about him. Don't tell me you weren't expecting it to happen eventually."

"I wasn't," she replied, more bluntly than she had meant.

The bluenette subconsciously rubbed against her covered eye. She wasn't allowed to scratch that area, but it was so itchy that she could barely concentrate on what was going on.

Vanitas carefully took her hand in his and spoke, "I hope you realize that even with all that bandage covering that pretty face of yours, I still care about you, no matter what you will look like once we can ditch the bandages. Not only your eyes, but everything about you is radiant and beautiful."

Aqua looked away, a faint blush coloring her pale cheeks, but Vanitas gently grabbed her chin between his thumb and indexfinger. "I mean it," he said softly.

When he leaned forward to kiss her, the heart rate monitor went off again. Vanitas let out an amused chuckle.

Almost immediately, the nurse came into the room. When she saw that nothing was wrong, she cried out irritably, "For the love of Zeus, stop playing with the monitors!"

A cocky smirk danced on Vanitas' lips when he retreated. "I'm sorry nurse. I'm done playing now. Pinky promise."

A/N: Next chapter: "I'm glad you didn't have your eyes wide open," he said jokingly.

For those with a good memory, this should be a hint that changes everything. That's all I'm going to say...
