A/N: Okay, now I can go about my day in peace. :P Sorry guys, I was a bit out of inspiration for this one, but at least it's nothing near the shortest chapter I ever wrote. :P

Thanks: Killya008, and ZalelTribal. :)

~ She got a sickly feeling in her stomach, especially when she thought of Vanitas and the possibility that he would walk in on them like this. What could she even say to him if that happened? ~

89) Dawn

The hideously swollen spots around her hurt eye was fading ever so slowly, along with all the nuisance that it brought (for example: the itching). The same could be said about her beaten and bruised skin. Aqua felt less sore too, which gave her some much needed courage again. This was a new beginning, she could feel it. From now on, she would live life with a much more positive attitude. Apparently, that lifestyle would help her heal faster.

At the moment, a new day was dawning. The sun had barely risen from behind the faraway mountains when Aqua's cerulean eyes fluttered open. At first, she wondered where she was. Then she remembered again.

Outside, at the window pane, a group of birds were chirping a melodious song, indicating that a new day was starting. Aqua remembered reading somewhere that birds did this twice a day because they couldn't tell the difference between a sunrise and a sunset. They thought the sun rose twice a day. She could only imagine how confused they had to be when the sky got darker and darker after every sunset.

Despite the fact that she was still trapped in her hospital bed, she felt… happy, for the first time in a long while. It was quiet in the room, save for the sound of slow and steady breathing...but it wasn't her own. Aqua then noticed to her big surprise that she had cuddled up against Terra in the small hospital bed, his heavy arm draped around her protectively. It was just the way she'd always imagined it to feel like: familiar, warm, and overall nice. Who was to say that she still wasn't dreaming?

But at the same time, something was off. She got a sickly feeling in her stomach, especially when she thought of Vanitas and the possibility that he would walk in on them like this. What could she even say to him if that happened? It was nagging at the back of her head, as if she knew she couldn't postpone such an encounter any longer. On the other hand, she knew that the chance of Vanitas showing up here was rather small. After all, what in the world would Vanitas do at the hospital at five in the morning?

Aqua was certain of one thing though: Vanitas wasn't going to like this at all…

But for now, the pretty bluenette was going to enjoy this warmth for as long as she could. Just when she'd thought that, Terra's arm twitched, and his grip on her tightened slightly.

Ignorance was bliss after all.

A/N: Next chapter: She was thinking of Vanitas when she was around Terra, and vice versa. This couldn't be considered healthy anymore.
