~ She was thinking of Vanitas when she was around Terra, and vice versa. This couldn't be considered healthy anymore.~
90) Soft
At first, everything in her field had looked soft and blurry. It didn't matter what it was that Aqua's gaze focused on, everything lacked sharp edges and there was no contrast between objects and people at all. However, slowly but gradually, she started to get her sight back and her scar was fainting too. The blurry edges and all the errors in her vision were disappearing. It felt like a relief, because now she didn't have to worry about what society would deem her as. Everything would be all right soon enough.
At the moment, she couldn't really focus on Terra's story, because her attention was only fixated on one thing: his interesting choice of shoes. The least he culd have done was choosing a softer shade of color. This was so 'In-Your-Face.'
Suddenly, when she couldn't take it anymore, she interrupted Terra, who was in the middle of his story, by saying, "I really hope you realize that those orange sneakers and green socks don't really match, Terra?"
"Oh. Yeah, but I couldn't find my usual- wait a minute… how did you…"
Terra's blue eyes had become as big as saucers. She smiled meaningfully at him with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.
"You can actually see everything again?" the brunet man asked incredulously, his cobalt-blue eyes widening even more in a mixture of bliss and pure surprise.
Aqua couldn't help but laugh at the expression on his face; he looked like an overly excited puppy.
"Yeah. Isn't that great?"
Terra didn't know what to say, but he looked simply elated. In his happiness, he came closer to Aqua and caught her in a heartfelt embrace. "That's great, Aqua! I'm so happy for you."
He's using the same cologne as Vanitas, Aqua thought, completely taken aback at her sudden discovery.
As soon as she realized where her thoughts had slowly drifted to, she promptly let go of Terra, as if she'd just had an electric shock.
"Aqua, what's wrong?"
"N-nothing. I…" She shook her head and could only wonder how she had ended up in this mess.
She was thinking of Vanitas when she was around Terra, and vice versa. This couldn't be considered healthy anymore. Perhaps it was time to take some distance from both of them, but she wasn't sure whether her heart could handle that.
A/N: Next chapter: "Aqua, look. I want you to choose between either me or Terra right now. No more excuses."
Yeah, three guesses as to who that can be. -.-' And with this chapter, I've finally finished 90% of this story. Yay! Only 10 more chapters to go now. Things are going so fast from here. Stay tuned for the next chapter, as things are about to get even more hectic. I hope you enjoyed this chapter though. Thanks for reading! :)
