A/N: I can't believe I'm saying this, but the last chapter is finally here! I decided to keep it a vague as possible with the sequel in mind, so I won't be able to tell when this is going to take place in the story and whether it's an actual event or a (day)dream. But I wanted to end this story with something light, because I'm a sucker for happily ever afters. :P I hope you'll enjoy this chapter despite everything. :D
Thanks: Jiosio, ZalelTribal, and Killya008. :)

100) Love
Aqua turned off the lights of her bedroom in one smooth move. The room was thankfully warm, because the last thing she needed during the winter was to fall asleep in a cold bed in an even colder bedroom.
"Thank Zeus, the kids are finally asleep," Aqua said with a tired groan as she slowly headed to bed (although it looked more as though she was dragging herself to the comfortable bed that she shared with her beloved husband. That's what kids did to you). "I thought that was never going to happen again."
The man chuckled, feeling utterly amused. "About time you showed up. I thought I was going to spend the rest of the night alone."
"Oh, quiet you. If you had at least offered to help me in some way, we wouldn't be having this conversation to begin with," she chided half-heartedly. "But no, you have to be a pain in the butt about genderroles and such."
"Psh. Help you and take away the chance for you to tell me how much of a sexist I am by not helping you? No way. Besides, someone had to keep your side of the bed warm."
She stared at his form, too tired to protest any further. He was already lying in bed, clearly waiting for her to join him. Because the moonlight that shone through the windows only illuminated a part of the floor and didn't quite reach the bed, she could only see parts of his face. His hair could've been any color because of the lack of light, from light brown to ink black. She smiled, entertaining herself for a moment with the thought of her husband having a different hair color. It actually wouldn't look bad on him at all. Then again, nothing ever looked bad on him. She had always secretly thought that he was so handsome that it should be a crime.
Aqua went to the cupboard to grab a new night gown. When she couldn't find her favorite one (the blue one that he'd given to her because it would match her hair), she let out a frustrated sigh.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"I can't find my blue night gown anywhere."
Perhaps she had put it in the laundry basket earlier today? Honestly, she could barely remember what she was doing one hour ago. That was what having children did to you.
"Well, then put on the one in your hand. I like black. It looks good on you."
She blushed slightly, glad that it was too dark in the bedroom for him to notice it. It was unbelievable that he could still make her feel this way, after all this time. Still, she did as she was told and changed into her short nightgown. Next, she closed the heavy curtains, so that it was dark enough for them to fall asleep promptly.
With a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips, she grabbed the shared sheets and lied down in her bed. The bed creaked a little under her weight.
"Hey, isn't it a bit too early to hog all the covers?" he asked jokingly.
"Oh, hush you. It would serve you just right."
After a long day with her three favorite menaces, it felt as though she was lying on something as soft as a feather. Aqua let out a content sigh and thanked the gods for deciding to buy such a comfortable, soft mattress.
The bluenette's husband put his arm around her almost immediately and pulled her closer to him. She made a content sound, loving all the warmth that he offered.
"G'night," Aqua muttered sleepily to the love of her life, and this time, she didn't bother to suppress another yawn.
"Goodnight… I love you."
This made her giggle. "I love you too…sexist."
A/N: First and foremost, thank you so much for sticking with me for so long (a little bit over the 5.5 years for some), and for encouraging me to keep on updating, even if some of my breaks went on for months. And if you're a new reader that just stumbled on this story, thank you for having enough faith in my writing skills to (binge)read all these chapters in one go. This will most likely be the last chapter/story that I'll post on this site (unless you can convince me to post a mini-sequel). I might come back every now and then to post something short to kill time, but I can't make any promises. Either way, I won't be able to (beta) read on here anymore. But I will try to publish this story irl next and see what happens. Again, thanks a ton for your support and kind words! I loved reading your theories too. It's been a blast, and you guys rock. :D
If you've always wanted to review on this story, but for some reason didn't get to, I guess this is your last chance. :P Review replies to anon reviewers can be found on my profile page.

I suppose I can't leave you entirely empty-handed, so without any further ado, I'll give you one last preview of the sequel: "Ugh, I give up! I never seem to fall in love with a normal, average Joe, do I? No, everyone keeps their secrets from me and they turn out to be killers or worse," Aqua muttered angrily. But most of all, she was mad at herself for falling for it again.
