Chapter 6: Would Love It

The days had gone by quickly, the sights they had come across were breath taking. Their next location was one of the most anticipated. They were now in the Bahamas. The sun was shining brightly, the heat blistering to the skin. They had arrived at 2 in the morning, the guys retiring to their bed straight away. By the time 7am came, the girls were up and ready for the day ahead.

"Pancakes?" Caroline questioned with a mile.
"As if that was a question," Bonnie responded with a laugh, "Just get to it woman!"
"Calm down! Pancakes it is!"

Caroline and Bonnie bustled around the kitchen, preparing breakfast as Elena watched them with a smile and laughed. Sipping her juice, she looked out the window and inhaled deeply as she nuzzled her chin into her hand. It really was beautiful outside.

"I wonder if the guys will wake up before midday?" Bonnie raised an eyebrow at Elena, "What do you think?"

"Bonnie, you will be lucky if they wake up anytime today."
"Yeah, she's right Bon, they probably won't be."
"So, shall we have breakfast and go out? We may as well go and explore." Bonnie suggested with a grin.

"That is not a bad idea Bon Bon!"
"Pancakes ready?"
"They're indeed Miss Gilbert!" Caroline clapped her hands, "Dig in."

The beach was smothered with crowds of people. The sea was a beautiful blue, the sand soft and warm. The girls walked down to the end of the beach, finding a quiet secluded area.

"Did you leave a note?" Elena questioned, sitting down.
"Yeah. I did." Elena smiled, sitting down as she played with the sand.

"Well girls, welcome to paradise." Caroline laughed and smiled, looking over at Bonnie, "So, what is going on with Jeremy Miss Bennett?"
"Pffft, forget us. You're the one in a freeway relationship!"
"Jealous?" The blonde smiled, raising her eyebrows.

"Oh hardly." Bonnie scoffed, looking over at Elena who was in a fit of laughter, "Never mind you laughing missy. What about you?"
"Me? What about me?" Elena frowned, her laughter stopping suddenly as she looked between them in confusion.
"Oh, don't be coy! You and Damon!" Caroline smirked.

"Ah, me and Damon are a difficult subject. I just feel...like a bubble of emotions around him. I like the way he makes me feel, but I just don't know how to explain it."

Bonnie and Caroline looked at each other, trying to discover an answer between the two of them, but nothing came to mind. They then all started at each other and burst out into a fit of laughter. Looks like no answer could come about for a bubble of emotions.

"And why is so funny over here?" Tyler questioned with a smile.

The girls looked around, their eyes falling onto the guys as they all stood there with smiles on their faces. What a way to sneak up on them, the only question now is if they heard any of their conversation?

"Your face Tyler." Caroline smirked and shrieked as he dived for her.

"El," Damon stepped over as she dodged Caroline's foot from kicking in her face, laughter coming from her as she got to her feet and looked up into the blue eyes that made her fall deeper, "Wanna go for a walk?"

"Uh, yeah of course." Elena ushered towards the beach ahead and started walking as he smiled and followed her.
"How are you? I know it has been a while since we really...kinda spoke. After this morning, I was knackered and didn't give much conversation."
"Damon, its okay. I know you were tired, you guys had been up all night driving."

"Elena," Damon turned to her, stopping her, "I-"
"What?" Elena bit her lip, tilting her head up at him, "Are you feeling okay?"

Damon stared down at her, a smile making its way onto his face as he inhaled deeply, shaking his head. Elena blushed, biting her lip, staring back at him, her eyes on his and then to his lips. Grinning, he moved closer and took her face in his hands, inhaling as he leaned down.

"Guys! Come on, we gotta go!"

Jumping apart, they looked up as everyone began running in the other direction. Laughing, they looked at each other as Damon smiled, taking her hand and tugged her along.

It had been a long day, but it was extremely fun. As soon as they left the beach, they went to swim with the dolphins which was such an exhilarating experience. The girls had a blast, one of their dreams come true coming to life. The guys watched them most of the time while having fun themselves, but they let the girls have them time.

Once they had finished, they went back and all started getting showered and ready for dinner. The girls were all in the bedroom, hogging the mirror one at a time as they tried to make themselves look somewhat presentable. Elena brushed herself down, holding her breath as she looked into the bathroom mirror. Her eyes were covered with nude eye shadow, light liner and her lips were covered in a light gloss. Inhaling, she ran her fingers through her hair, natural curls falling just below her shoulders.

"Wow."

Swiveling quickly, she nearly fell as she held onto the counter and seen Damon standing in the doorway, an adoring smile on his face as she let out a nervous laugh and waved softly, not knowing what to do as he was still staring at her. Moving over, he tucked her hair behind her ear in a gentle caress as she ran her eyes up his body, studying the biker boots, the dark black jeans and the blue v neck when she finally reached his eyes, her heart racing fast.

"Everyone ready to go for dinner?" Elena spoke, her voice low as she swallowed hard.
"Yes, we are." Damon smiled as he nodded, "Your perfect."
"Thank you Damon." She replied, her stomach fluttering with butterflies, "Come on. We should go."

It was a beautiful night. The sky was clear, the stars were out and the air was crisp. Dinner had gone soothingly. They went to a nice restaurant, everyone had a lot of fun, good food and there is no better way to end your night other than a walk on the beach. The girls and guys were walking along, enjoying the peace and quiet.

Damon took Elena's hand, leading her off away from them and closer to the water, her heels left with Caroline as she held onto Damon's arm, laughing in hysterics as she fell into him. Damon kissed the top of her head, holding her up and dragged her into the water, spinning her around, dancing with her.

"Damon!" She shrieked and held onto him, laughing more as she buckled.
"I got you." He laughed, holding her against him as he kissed her temple and forehead, "You're such a Muppet."
"Nu uh, you're a muppet!"

Damon smirked, lifting her into his arms and started spinning around as he looked over at the others, seeing them calling them open. Laughing, he slowly placed her down as she wobbled and nearly fell until he grabbed a hold of her and kissed her nose.

"You're trouble."
"Says the one spinning me. Funny."
"Come on guys! Home time!"

Pulling herself up, Elena moaned and pulled up again lifting herself into the bed as she took a deep breath. That was better, they really need to build a ladder to climb up to the second bunk. Moving close to the window, she opened it as she wanted to let air in. It was really hot tonight and not a good kind of hot. Closing her eyes, she nuzzled into her pillow and began dosing until she heard something. What was that? Feeling someone get in beside her, she shrieked and turned over, seeing Damon staring at her.

"You scared me!" Elena laughed, covering her face.
"Sorry El," Damon grinned, laying on his back, "Do you mind?"
"No no, sleep away. No worries." She smiled, closing her eyes and inhaled.
"Hot huh?"
"Yeah, I was thinking that before you jumped in beside me." Elena laughed, shaking her head as she inhaled.
"Well...it is very...small here."

"Mmhm, space is tight." Elena inhaled deeply, "For two people anyway."
"Come here."

Damon smiled big, reaching over and pulled her close, nuzzling his nose into her hair as she held her breath nervously, a big smile slipping onto her face as she closed her eyes, feeling relaxed. She could fall asleep like this all time, she would love it.
