A/N: I'll be honest, here. When I got back to this story I found I had prewritten bits and pieces of the plot. So if anything feels rushed, that's why. However, I'd be happy to hear anyone's criticism- a fresh pair of eyes is exactly what I feel I need to make sure this story doesn't end up, for lack of a better word, bad.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoy :)

All morning Momo kept glancing at the empty seat beside him, and when lunch came around he ventured over to his senpai.

"Fuji-senpai, Kikumaru-senpai," Momo finally got to the two after asking Oishi, Takamura, and Inui, "Have you seen Kami-chan?"

His question caused great concern from the two, and Momo could see a rare frown on Kikumaru's face, along with the even rarer appearance of blue eyes from Fuji, "We haven't seen Kami-chan the whole day, nya!"

"Is something wrong, Momo?"

Momo shook his head, maybe asking Fuji wasn't such a good idea after all.

"I-ie, Fuji-senpai. I was just wondering." Momo chuckled nervously.

He quickly ran out of the room, and, once the last bell had rung, he ran straight to the clubhouse to ask Tezuka.

"Buchou!" He called out.

Tezuka looked at his kouhai, and Momo stopped in front of him.

There was no greeting, just a stern look of askance. This was Tezuka Kunimitsu, Momo remembered. And as such it seemed that only Lily and Fuji could understand how the captain greeted people.

"How's your arm?" He asked.

"Tezuka nodded, "Fine, thank you for asking."

Momo nodded, albeit awkwardly so, "Good, that's good... Have you seen Kami-chan lately? She skipped school today and we didn't know-"

"Kamiko is with Ryuzaki-sensei."

"Arigatou, buchou!"

Momo turned to run, not even questioning the unlikely response of Tezuka actually interrupting him as he headed towards areas that his coach would frequent.

"Ah! Kami-chan!" Momo spotted his friend talking to his coach, and immediately waved as he approached.

As soon as he smiled in relief he frowned, slowing down as he approached when Ryuzaki nodded to Kamiko, and Kamiko ran away. Ryuzaki stepped into his line of sight, and crossed her arms.

"She'll be in my office so she can put herself together again. Now's not the time for anyone else's interference."

"But, obaa-chan-"

"What did I say about you calling me that, Momoshiro Takeshi?"

Momo's eyes widened in fear as the woman in front of him seemed to grow ten times bigger, with flames all around to accompany her sudden fearful form. Immediately he forgot about Kamiko and ran back to class.

"Nothing, Ryuzaki-sensei!'

It was like magic a switch had been flipped when the old woman had become cheerful, and she walked slowly away as Momo ran for it.

"Good."

"Yuuta-nii!" Kamiko called out to the boy across the street. He was determined to walk forward though, so she crossed the street herself and began to follow from behind, "Niichan!"

Kamiko wasn't sure when, but she'd text Momo and Kaidoh that she was with Yuuta at St. Rudolph at the moment, and then contacted Yuuta. She told him about her lie to her two other aniki, and suddenly confessed that she had nowhere to stay. Yuuta had called Momo and Kaidoh immediately afterwards, and explained the whole ordeal to them. They, of course, hadn't told Kamiko, who was aware she was being kept in the dark, but she followed Yuuta's instructions anyway.

Meet him at his house.

So here she was, walking beside Yuuta as he knocked on his door.

Kamiko was surprised at who answered the door, but Fuji Syusuke was even more surprised that his brother had come to visit, along with Kamiko.

"Yuuta," He smiled, and turned to Kamiko, smiling still, "Kami-chan."

"Syu-chan!" Kamiko understood immediately what Yuuta was planning, but couldn't interrupt before the hellish boy spoke.

"She needs a place to stay, ani. I told ka-san and ane and they said it was fine. I have to go back to the dorms before curfew, so she can use my room. Ja ne."

Kamiko's eyes widened not only at the bluntness of it all, but Yuuta's rude words to his older brother! She turned around when seeing Yuuta leaving.

"Niichan!" She called.

He seemed not to care at all of what she thought, but inside he was surprised he could hide a smirk at all. He knew of Kamiko's feelings towards his older brother, how much she liked him. And here he was leaving her alone with the tensai in their home. He was a damned good matchmaker too, and Kaidoh and Momo agreed to that as soon as they'd heard the plan.

"You can come in, Kami-chan." A chuckle of a statement came from the doorway.

Kamiko turned back to the other Fuji brother, and bowed before nodding.

"Hai, gomen... about Yuuta-nii... I had no idea that he would do this to the both of us."

Fuji just chuckled in response, "It's no problem. Demo, I hope you don't mind. Okaa-san and Nee-san aren't home yet."

They had the house alone? Kamiko nodded in rare silence, and followed Fuji to Yuuta's room.

"Arigato, Syu-chan, I really shouldn't be imposing like this." Kamiko smiled sheepishly to the boy.

He shrugged, "Saa~ it can't be helped. Is it alright if I ask why Yuuta insists that you stay here?"

Blushing tremendously, Kamiko shrugged also.

"Kenji is an old friend from America, I used to help him and his team with their tennis before I moved, and he's been giving people trouble ever since. He knows I stay with Ryoma and I didn't know who else to call..."

"Is that so? Well it seems as if he thinks you have unfinished business."

Kamiko nodded, and silently sat at the foot of the bed while staring into the carpet of the floor. Fuji sat next to her at the edge of the bed, noticing how deep in thought she was.

'So it was a deeper relationship, after all,' Fuji thought, 'Inui's data was right.'

"Kami-chan?" He asked.

Kamiko looked up at him, smiling slightly, "Hai, Syu-chan?"

"Are you and Yuuta...?"

Her brows furrowed in confusion, and when she understood the question Fuji could've sworn that her eyes were going to pop out of her head as she stood up immediately to explain herself.

"Iie! Syu-chan, no! I mean... Yuuta-nii is nice and all... but he's Yuuta-nii. I don't think we could- I mean- I can't- There's just no- Eh... eto..."

Fuji laughed, "Gomen, Kami-chan, I had to ask. To be quite honest, I was jealous."

Jealous?

Kamiko sat beside him and grinned, shaking her head.

"Ah, so that's what that question was about!" She exclaimed.

Fuji chuckled again, and, after realizing just who's bed they were on, he chuckled once more, and stood up to leave.

Once he reached the doorway he turned around to say goodnight to her, and found her staring at him.

"Don't tell Yuuta-nii I told you, but he really looks ups to you. You're his goal for him to achieve, and no matter what he says, he's always so worrisome about your matches and asks me about them. He thinks you're the best."

"Saa- arigato, Kami-chan," Kamiko thought his smile was so wide it could almost be considered a grin, "Oyasumi."

"Oyasumi, Syu-chan!"

He closed the door on his way out, and Kamiko sighed in sad relief. Here she was, in her crush's home, and he thinks that she likes his younger brother!

"I'm hopeless..." She whined to herself, well, actually, to the boy on the other line.

"Would you quit your whining and understand that the only reason you're safe is because you're there?"

"But you don't understand Mamu-nii!"

"You like him. What's there to understand?" The Viper hissed out.

Kamiko pouted, "Because. This is weird! I'm weird! Being here makes me nervous! What if Kenji comes and then Syu-chan is-"

"Kamiko..." Kaidoh realized that he needed to calm her down before she had a full on panic attack, "There's a reason why you like Fuji-senpai, right?"

"Hai. He's nice and interesting and funny and playful and-"

"Ok, ok I get it, then think about that. And think about how Fuji-senpai feels about you keeping secrets from us. I think he would rather have you stay there."

His advice was sound enough for Kamiko, and she grinned, jut thinking about it.

"Arigato, Nii-chan!"

Kaidoh blinked after a few seconds, unsure of what just happene to the conversation when he heard a faint click on the other end of the line. Had she just hung up on him?

"Fshuuu... Can't even hang up properly..."
