"Gods be good, I cannot believe how this weather has cleared up!" Sansa stood on the deck of their ship, Joffrey to her side as they sailed to Kings Landing. The morning they left Dragonstone the weather had almost cleared up instantly. The seas were calm leaving the voyage an easy one for them.

"Indeed, as long as the weather stays this calm, we should reach Kings Landing before nightfall." Joffrey looked to Sansa, a smile crossing his lips. "I cannot wait to see it again."

Sansa swallowed, the feeling of dread filling her. Every time she was in Kings Landing, something bad happened. Between her fathers's beheading to Joffrey's past torments then to being forced to marry Lord Tywin. Was she once again sailing into another doomed fate?

Joffrey could see the concern in her face, he then lightly stroked her cheek. "Fear not my Queen, things shall be different this time. You are loved by not only the people of Westeros, but by the one true god. No harm will ever come to you." He then turned his gaze to the seas, "there will be some resistance to my return though, but you have friends there now."

Sansa nodded, her eyes remaining on the water, "and you swear, no harm will come to anyone? Especially Tommen?"

"He's my brother, why would I wish to hurt him?" He could hear Sansa sigh at his response, "I swear it my lady, as long as no one intends any harm to us, then there is no need to worry."

"You know that no one will trust you, you can expect plenty of resistance." Sandor stepped behind them, keeping closer to Sansa as he spoke. "You're a fool if you think they are going to take you back."

"Things have changed do… Clegane." Joffrey turned to face Sandor, "the people will see that I have changed, as will my brother. And with my lovely bride at my side, they will accept me. After all, if Sansa Stark can forgive, then the people surely can."

The smirk that crossed Joffrey's face reminded Sandor of the old days, back in the throne room when he would stand by the iron throne. While he would watch as Joffrey would torment anyone who upset him. He still did not trust Joffrey, nor would he ever. But he would play along for Sansa's sake, for his little bird.

"You reveal too much my lord, you will scare the girl." Melisandre had locked herself in her makeshift chambers on the ship. Now staring into a small fire she spoke once again, "Sansa is a strong willed girl, but take caution, I see more in her. If you give her the visions too fast, she will flee from them. She will warn Joffrey, and our plan could fail."

The flames began to dance around, the dark shadow once again forming inside of it.

"You have waited many years to find the one worthy to become your bride my lord. Do not let your patience run out when we are so close to succeeding."

.

"Look!" Sansa pointed to the shores of Kings Landing, the docks were lined with men of the city watch. "I do not remember King Tommen saying he would be sending an escort for us."

Sandor stepped closer to Sansa, his eyes looking to the men as the ship neared the docks. "It can only mean two things little bird. Either they mean to storm the ship, or it is a way to keep Joffrey away from the King."

Sansa could feel her nerves growing inside once again, was she going to be separated from Sandor and Arya again? Was someone going to force her away from everything as they fought over her and the rights to the north?

"They are with us my Queen…" Melisandre appeared from below deck, the smile on her face showing that she was pleased with the turn out. "The King's hand had commanded the city watch to take you into custody, but the captain of the watch is a follower of our lord. He would never betray us."

Sansa looked to Melisandre in horror, "you mean to tell me, there are already men who stand by the King that mean to betray him?"

"Joffrey is King, as you are Queen." She stepped to the railing, looking up to the Red Keep. "The boy who sits in the throne now was never meant to be King, he will step aside and return the throne to its rightful owner." She then looked to Sansa, taking note of Sandor who remained close. "The people cry for you my Queen, they no longer have faith in a child King. They want someone strong, someone who has shown courage and yet love all at the same time. They know you are that person, they know you deserve to be here, to be their Queen."

Sansa looked at her with a slightly confused expression, "and Joffrey? They want him by my side? Because from what I remember, he was not a loved king."

"The people will see that he has changed, they will see that forgiveness is possible." Her smile grew even more, "your purity shines Sansa, and the people would do anything you asked of them, including forgiving Joffrey." She then nodded her head lightly to Sansa and grinned to Sandor before leaving them.

"I don't trust her either…" Sandor's words came out low so that no one else would hear them.

"Neither do I Sandor…" Sansa looked up at him, "neither do I."

.

"We shall take you directly to the throne room, I already have a group of men there to announce your arrival."

Joffrey and Melisandre had greeted Aleck once they came off the ship.

"And Harys, he is still unaware?"

Aleck looked to Melisandre and nodded. "He believes we are here to take Lady Sansa and her sister into custody. He will be waiting in the tower of the hand, unaware of any of the events in the throne room.

"You have done well, the lord of light will reward you in time."

Aleck bowed to Melisandre and Joffrey before stepping aside to allow the rest of their party to step off the ship.

"My Queen…" Joffrey took Sansa's hand into his own as she stepped from the ship. Her eyes looking up to the Red Keep. "Welcome home…"

Sansa forced a smile as she nodded and looked to Joffrey, "I never thought I would consider Kings Landing my home…"

"Once you and I sit on the throne, it will feel like home." He slowly took her hand to his lips, placing a light kiss to it before they both turned to follow the group of soldiers that would lead them to the throne room.

'This is it Sansa… our fates are slowly binding together. As you step through these halls, you step closer to your destiny, to our destiny…'

The same voice she had heard in her dreams echoed through her head. Sansa looked to Joffrey who seemed to be in his own world at the moment. Was she imagining things again?
