"Tell me Sansa, does he truly treat you well?" Tommen walked with his arm linked with Sansa's as they spoke. His kingsguard close behind.
She nodded as she looked around the gardens they walked in, noticing how nothing had changed. "Surprisingly, yes. He has done nothing to harm me, he treats me as a true Queen." She then looked to Tommen, "the way I am sure you treated Margaery."
A frown crossed the young King's lips as he looked down, "my sweet wife, I would have given her the world."
Sansa nodded, "you're a good man, and a good King." She looked to him as they stopped in front of a small fountain to sit. "The people love you."
He shook his head, "the boy King, not worthy to rule. It is no secret that many cry out for you to take the throne my lady." He took her hands into his own, "but is it what you want?"
Sansa looked down, a sigh escaping her lips. "I don't know what I want any more your grace." She then looked back at him, "I'm tired honestly. Tired of running, tired of the fighting, tired of people being killed. But most of all your grace, I'm tired of people making choices for me."
Tommen nodded, giving her a sympathetic smile. "Sadly most noble women face that, having their life chosen for them. But I will not force you to do anything you do not want, this I swear to you." His hand tightened on hers, "if you want me to free you from Joffrey, I can. I am King, I can command it."
'He is but a boy, he cannot command anyone. Most of his men are already loyal to you my love. They will not obey his command, do not let him give you false promises.'
The same voice echoed into Sansa's mind again, causing her to close her eyes. She did not know who spoke to her, why they continued to speak to her, and why this voice called her, 'my love'. But it frightened her.
"Sansa?" Tommen looked at her with concern, "what is it?"
She opened her eyes with a smile, shaking her head lightly. "It's nothing your grace, I just have a small headache. All this travel, I have hardly had any time to rest."
Slowly, Tommen stood, assisting Sansa to stand as well. "Then I shall escort you back to your chambers to rest. But promise me you will think on what I said? I want you to be happy my lady."
Sansa nodded with a smile, "I promise."
…..
Melisandre had watched Sansa with the boy King from a distance, though she could not hear what they said, she could tell that the lord had spoken to her again. 'He's going to scare her away.' She turned to return to her own chambers, locking the door behind her as she instantly walked to the fire. She looked into it, hoping to see a sign, but it seemed to be empty, as if the Lord of Light was ignoring her now. "The other Stark girl…" She watched the flames a moment longer, "he's gone to her now."
…..
"Arya?" Sansa had just entered her chamber when she saw Arya sitting in front of the fire, staring, seeming in a trance. She moved to sit on the ground next to her, looking from the fire back to her sister who still did not move. "Arya?" She then shook her sister lightly, causing her to finally move.
"Sansa, he spoke to me again." Her eyes never leaving the flames, "he's showing me things, the future."
Sansa's eyes widened as she looked to the flames, though she saw nothing but fire. "And what is it that he's showing you?"
Arya shook her head, "it is not for me to tell you."
Sansa frowned, standing from the ground and moving to the nearby table to pour herself a bit of wine. "If it has to do with me, then you should tell me. I'm tired of being in the dark, I have a right to know what everyone is planning behind my back." She then moved to sit on the edge of her bed, groaning as her dress seemed to have grown a bit tighter.
"The baby…" Arya remained on the ground in front of the fire, "he will grow fast. Unnaturally fast, be ready for that."
Sansa looked down to her belly a moment then to Arya, "how fast?"
Arya sat there a moment in silence then slowly stood, moving to stand in front of Sansa. "Almost half the time a normal pregnancy."
Sansa let out a gasp, shaking her head. "That's impossible!" She looked to Arya, taking her hands. "Doesn't he frighten you?"
"No…" She looked at Sansa blankly, "I find his company a comfort actually. He shows me things, many things." She then moved to sit next to Sansa. "He has great plans for us all."
Sansa couldn't help but shiver, part of her thinking that Arya had to be under some sort of spell, and it scared her.
…..
'Tonight I shall take my bride and my rightful place.'
Melisandre stood before a large fire in her room, the dark figure standing before her in the flames. "My lord, I am begging you to slow down. Your eagerness is going to ruin everything, you cannot reveal yourself fully to her, or to her sister. Not yet."
The flames began to grow brighter and hotter, causing her to back away more.
'Do not question me! You serve me!'
Melisandre was quick to drop to her knees, "forgive me."
((( Who missed me? I am so sorry I left this untouched for so long, hopefully I can get back in the groove of things! )))
