A/N: Last time, Jordan and Zeus are off to ULO to find Itzal's informer to start on the counterfeiting case while Itzal, Bren, Andre, and Kani are off in the real world to clear Calla's name. How will their investigation will end up?

Take and Fake: Part 2

At Black and White's bustling Schwartz, Jordan and Zeus met up on the streets to find Itzal's informer.

"Okay, now where do we go to find an underground hacker?," Zeus asked.

"Well beats me," Jordan said. "He'd probably be holed up in one of those guild houses."

"But which one?"

"Well, Itzal said that it was a folding paper-like guild house and that the school's Culture Club often meets there."

"Then let's start looking."

The two then browsed around the neighborhood, looking at all the houses, until finally they came across the one that matched Itzal's description.

"Here we are," Jordan said.

"Let's get in," Zeus said. With that, the two Runners entered the house and found five other avatars working on a digital replica of a mountain.

"Hey, you guys what's up?," Jordan greeted them. The club members all turned to see Jordan and Zeus, whose avatar's they recognized.

"Ms. Aquilla, Mr. Starr, good to see you two," the leader greeted the two. "As you can see, we are building a digital model of the Himalayas. Wanna help?"

"No can do right now," Zeus said. "Where can we find Zen Kotoroli here?"

"Right through that door," another member said pointed towards a door.

"Thanks."

Jordan and Zeus then entered the door, to come across a stairway. They climbed down it, and soon found themselves in a room filled with computers and holographic windows.

"Wow, this guy must be really good," Jordan said.

"Itzal said he was the best so…," Zeus said.

"Hey, hey, Itzzy," a voice said, causing the Runners to turn to see a boy wearing a hoodie jacket and goggles around his neck. "I was wondering when…"

The boy paused to see that it wasn't Itzal standing there, but two others.

"You're not Itzal," the boy said as he turned to leave. "Well I'm out of here, you can let yourselves out."

"Hold on," Jordan said. "I'm Jordan Waters, and this is my friend Zeus Starr. We're Union Runners."

"We're friends of Itzal's," Zeus put in, "He said to come see you about some 'top up card codes' we found in the real world. We suspect it might be a counterfeit currency scheme."

"Then you've come to the right place," the boy said. "Name's Zen Kotorali, underground hacker. Now as to your problem: lately some of rookie players have gotten considerably lazy in the game. They've been want to find faster, easier ways to make -qubos- without exhausting themselves. Heck about a week ago, I assisted a rookie in a job that owed me over a 100,000 -qubos-. I told him if he didn't pay me in a week, there'd be trouble for him. And the very next day, he comes in with the whole thing, paid in full, using -Keys- as he said."

"That's unusual," Jordan said. "A broke paying off 100 grand in a day?"

"Yeah, there's gotta be something up about that," Zeus agreed.

"Exactly my point," Zen continued. "I figured there was some thing strange, since this guy was usually broke. So I test the -Key- codes, and wouldn't you know it, they turn out to be unauthorized."

"That's no shock to us," Jordan pointed out.

"And you're here because you came across some unauthorized codes in the real world," Zen guessed.

"Yeah on a piece of paper we swiped from a kid after he made a shady deal," Zeus confirmed.

"Well, here's the deal: in the real world, certain players are emailed the card numbers and PIN codes by programmers and hackers in on the operation. They then print out or write down the numbers and codes down and sell them to rookie players, for a reasonable price."

"Man. Well do you know who's in charge of this operation?"

"No, all I can tell you is that he operates out of the -Hexro- district."

"Well what about the rookie player maybe he knows something, do you know his name?," Jordan asked.

"His name is Evo Sellro, he usually hangs out at the central park of Schwartz."

"Then that's where we're going."

"Yeah, and also, you best hope that you find him before I do, because, nobody cheats Zen Kotorali and gets away with it!"

"Believe us we will," Zeus said. "And thanks again."

"No problem," Zen said as the two left.

Meanwhile, back at Fils-Aime Moffitt School, Kani had just met with Bren, Itzal and Andre outside the the hall monitors' room after managing to talk to them.

"So what did they say?," Bren asked.

"Well it seems that there's this kid, who goes by the name 'Slips'," Kani said. "He's the reason of why these fake hall passes have been circulating around the school. No one knows his true name, or has even seen his face. He sells fake passes to anyone for either $6 or a box of Double Stuff Oreos per pass, whichever they can get."

"And they think Calla probably bought them of this guy," Andre asked.

"Yeah, but Calla would never get involved with something like that."

"Precisely," Itzal affirmed. "So we find Slips, we could find out who he sold the passes that were used to frame Calla with to."

"Yep, but first we need to find a customer of his," Andre said. Bren thought for a second before he got an idea.

"I think I know just the guy," Bren said.

In a nearby hall, a boy was walking with several fake passes in his hand with a grin.

"Now I can cut class and go anywhere I want," he said. Suddenly a hand snatched the passes away.

"The only place you're going is to Roenick's office," Itzal said as he held onto the passes with Kani and Andre flanking him. Frightened, the boy turned and tried to run, but Bren quickly jumped in front of him, grabbed him and pinned him up against the locker.

"Unless you'd like to help us, JoJo," he said.

"Bren! What a surprise!," JoJo trembled.

"Okay man, I want to know where you got these from!"

"What's it to you, man?"

"A friend of mine was framed for possessing these, and I want to find Slips so I find out who he sold them too."

"I can't tell you that, he'll have me clobbered!"

"Then let me save him the trouble!," Bren said as he balled his fist and raised it to strike.

"Okay, okay," JoJo said frantically, allowing Bren to back down. "He works out of the supply closet. Bring either $6 or a box of Double Stuff Oreos as payment! That's all I know, I swear!"

"Alright then," Bren said as he let go of JoJo. Itzal then ripped the fake passes up, much to the boy's horror.

"Hey!," he snapped.

"Keep away from these things," Itzal said as he and the others walked away as JoJo frantically gathered the pieces of the passes.

"So, now we have a location of business," Kani said. "Now what?"

"We set up a sting, and get him to talk."

"Sounds good to me," Andre said.

Back at Schwartz, Jordan and Zeus arrived at central park, hoping to find their target.

"According to Zen, he usually here to duel some veteran players, but always loses," Jordan said. "Some of those duels are gamble ones."

"Ouch. Thank goodness I'm only PVP for training and fun, not for money and glory," Zeus said in relief when he saw someone. "Speaking of which, looks like he's about to have one right now."

True to what he said, they saw a boy with a beanie, goggles, vest, and shorts about to battle a boy with a red scarf, black fingerless gloves, and wields a big broadsword.

"You wanna duel, Lotan?," the boy with the beanie and goggles said.

"Sure thing, Sellro," the boy with the sword said. "But you're gonna lose big time."

"That's our guy all right," Jordan said, upon hearing the name.

"I don't think so, Lotan, not after all the upgrades and weapons I just bought," Evo said.

"Then bring 'em on," Lotan said as the two got into battle positions.

But as the barrier is about to envelop them to begin the duel, Jordan shouts out, "Command: -Interrupt Duel 1 Hour-!"

The barrier quickly disappears, much to the fighters' shock as the Runners approached Evo in a serious manner.

"Evo Sellro, we need to talk," Zeus said in a serious tone.

"Yeah, we're here about your certain contact to someone," Jordan added. "Someone who puts you up with a certain amount of a certain currency in this game."

Upon hearing this, Evo quickly threw some smoke bombs to the Runners, temporarily blinding them with smoke as he runs away.

"Jordan, Sellro's getting away!" Zeus coughed.

"Not on my watch!" Jordan said as she creates her crystal bombs during the confusion. "Crystal Grenades!"

Although blinded, she successfully threw the crystals near Evo's feet, exploding and freezing his legs in a block of ice.

"Hey! I can't duel with my legs frozen!" Evo said in anger.

After recovering from the smoke bombs, Jordan and Zeus approached him and the former asks, "Well, you can't duel in the near future until you give us answers!"

"Or maybe you want to deal with me in a PVP match?" Zeus threatened.

Seeing that he cannot defeat the famous -Twilight Star-, Evo gives up and says, "Okay, okay!"

"Good," Jordan said as she looked at him sternly. "Now you know that using unauthorized card numbers and PIN codes to gain advantages in this game is partially considered hacking, right?"

"Which could lead to several major penalties, including account suspension," Zeus said.

"What?! No!," Evo said scared.

"Unless, you'd be willing to tell us what you know about you know about this operation, and we can cut a deal with the admins," Jordan said.

"Okay, okay," he said. "All I can tell you about this guys is that he operates out of the -Hexro- district, he's a level 37 Trader, he goes by the codename 'XT' and he uses this as his calling card."

With that, Evo handed a coin with a crescent moon symbol on it. Jordan and Zeus took a look at it and examined it.

"So now what?" Jordan asked to Zeus.

"We can't go to -Hexro- district yet since we have no leads yet. So I suggest we send this clue back to Tina for analysis and hope she finds one," Zeus suggested.

"Good idea. Maybe I can see your loft after this," Jordan said as she grinned at that thought, much to Zeus's dismay upon remembering about that promise. "And as for Sellro..."

"I'll call up Tina and tell her about Evo here."

"What will she do to me?," Evo asked nervously. "She won't suspend my account like we agreed on, right?"

"Well I'll talk to her. Hopefully, the only punishment you'll get is losing all the fake -Keys- and -qubos- you earned from those unauthorized codes, plus all the items you bought from them."

"What?!"

"Hey, crime and cheating never pays," Zeus said. "Besides, compared to the punishments I mentioned, you'd be getting off easy."

"Aw man," Evo groaned as the two left him with his legs still frozen.

Back in the real world, the remaining Runners had set up a sting for Slips near the supply closet, with Bren acting as bait, and the others hiding lying in wait for their target. Just then, Andre saw a boy with a orange hoodie approach the door to the room.

"Hey, here he comes, I think" he spoke into his RunCom.

"I see him," Bren said. He then got into position and watched as the boy approached.

"So, got the stuff," the boy said, his hoodie covering his face from view. Bren then showed him several boxes of Double Stuff Oreos.

"I got it. Where's the paper, Slips?"

"Step into my office."

With that, the two entered the supply closet, though just before he did, Bren activated the Transmission App on his RunCom so the others could hear. Once inside, Slips rummages around in a cabinet and pulls out several blue papers.

"So here's the merchandise," he said as he and Bren exchanged goods.

"Wow, these must be the most realistic-looking fake hall passes I've ever seen," Bren said.

"Yep the very best," Slips said.

"Well, looks like my plan is a definite 'go'," Bren said, with the word "go" in a drawn out manner.

"Alright let's do it," Itzal said, getting what he meant. With that, he, Andre, and quickly moved in and burst into the closet, much to Slips' shock.

"What the?," he said as he stumbled back in shock. "What is this?"

"A raid, Slips," Bren said with a sly grin. "And we need some information from you."

Later at some kind of apartment, Jordan and Zeus are in the 8th floor of the building as the former is getting excited at seeing her friend's apartment.

"Wow, I can't believe I'm going to see your apartment! I'm getting antsy just thinking about it," Jordan said in excitement until she saw Zeus depressed. "Oh man, either don't tell me that I'm not ready to see it or it's about your loved ones again."

"No, no I'm fine," Zeus aaid they stopped at the door of Apt. 805, which he unlocked and opened. Jordan looked at the exterior of the apartment's living room, and was amazed to see that it looked so clean and somewhat classy.

"Wow," she said.

"Come on I'll give you the tour," Zeus said as he led her to the kitchen. "So here's the kitchen."

He then led her to the bathroom.

"And the bathroom."

Then to his study.

"And my study."

Then his bedroom.

"And my bedroom."

"Wow, this is a nice place," Jordan said impressed.

Unknown to them, a strange figure is spying at the Runners behind the lamp, snickering mischievously.

"Hey wait a minute, since you're far away from Pallet Town and your own lab, what do you do here during your stay in here?" Jordan asked in realization.

"Mostly just continue my Pokemon research, with what little resources I still have," Zeus answered. "But sometimes, I helped Ms. Reyheart out with monster and -Faunia- designs."

"Rewind! You mean to tell me that you're one of the artists who drew the monsters?!"

"Just the half of it."

Upon hearing this, Jordan sat on the sofa in shock and awe.

"Wow..."

However, the awe moment breaks when an orange being with blue eyes, a long spike on top of it's head, a small round ball on bottom and plasmic extentions for arms, popped up suddenly, which Jordan screamed in horror at first, until she realized what it really is.

"Rotom! Wow, you're here in my world, too?" she said in awe as she quickly grabs it and hugs it. "Wow, you're really tickle!"

Rotom, shocked at being grabbed, let out a Discharge attack, shocking Jordan, who was surprised at this.

"Wow, so that's what a Discharge feels like," Jordan said still excited before passing out.

Later after Jordan recovered from Rotom's Discharge, she and Zeus sat down in the living room as Rotom plays around the apartment.

"So I got a question ever since your reveal," Jordan spoke up. "How did your world got invaded by the cult in the first place?"

Hearing this, Zeus became depressed, knowing that he can't tell her.

"You know, if you don't want to talk about it, don't. But I'm your friend, your first friend in this world and our school. I will believe you."

Knowing that she won't give up learning what happened, Zeus starts to explain, "It starts with the invitation I got a few months ago. It says a new Pokemon researcher discovers something very great and wants every Pokemon Professors from every region to see it."

Flashback: At Castelia City's airport, Professor Oak and his assistant arrived at the arrival gate when they encountered Ash, Pikachu, Brock, Misty, May, Max, Dawn, Cilan, and Iris.

Zeus: (narration) Somehow, I met Ash and his friends when Tracey and I arrived.

Later, they met with Pokémon Professors, Ivy, Elm, Birch, Rowan, and Juniper at the research lab along with the man who has slicked back hair and wearing a black business suit.

Zeus: There was a new guy with the other professors, said his name Professor Vandom and that he had discovered a potential new way that could spell a new era for the general public knowing about Pokémon research and he wished for all of us to see it.

Rowan: What is this power?

Vandom: You have to see it yourself to believe it. Follow me.

Zeus: He led us to an isolated area and then open a secret door in the wall.

Jordan: (interjects) The Data Core passageway!

Zeus: Yes. We all followed him, eager to see what he had discovered.

Vandom leads the Professors inside and down a stairway.

Zeus: However, it turns out that Professor Vandom's big discovery is actually a sham. Instead, it's a key that opens the box of disaster.

At the bottom of the stairs, the professors found themselves in the Core's room similar to the standard Core room, only to be colored red and white. Vandom then plugged something into the main computer of the Core and flipped a switch that suddenly sent a black and red viral-like shadow, engulfing the whole Core.

Outside, in the rest of the world, people everywhere who had some new iPad-like book, or a PokeDex, PokeNav, or any computer device, suddenly saw the Black Tundra symbol and in a flash of red light fell under their control. The Professors saw this on a nearby screen, and became horrified and angered.

Oak: (anger) What have you done?!

Vandom: Simple, I started the new age of darkness! Soon, your world will be under the full control of the Black Tundra!

Zeus: As we continued to watch the screen, the sky grew dark and red, and soon, dozens BT footsoldiers appeared and started seizing anybody who wasn't under their control.

Oak: Oh-no, Ash! The kids!

Zeus: Me and the others rushed out of the room and back into the outside to see the soldiers there seizing everyone as well.

As the professors watched, they were all suddenly seized from behind too, by the soldiers, sans Oak, who barely managed to slip away in time. As he ran, he bumped into Ash and Gary.

Ash/Gary: Professor!/Grandpa!

Oak: Ash! Gary! Where are the others?!

Ash: These men grabbed them all!

Gary: What's going on?

Oak: I don't know but we'd better-

Just then, several soldiers jumped in and grabbed the two boys and ran off with them, right before Oak's eyes!

Oak: No!

Before he was surrounded by footsoldiers, a black-clothed girl quickly attacks them with her own rapier. When she is finished, she turned around to see Oak.

Girl/Lilith: Get out of here! Leave them alone!

Oak: No! I won't leave them!

Unknown to him, a white portal opened right behind him, which the girl noticed it.

Girl/Lilith: Do you rather waste their sacrifice than to save them?

As more soldiers approach Oak realized that she was right.

Zeus: I didn't want to leave them all behind, but I realized had no other choice. So, after silently wishing the safety for all my friends and loved ones, I jumped into the portal.

Right after doing so, Oak found himself falling and spinning through the vortex.

Zeus: I remember I fell and fell and fell…and then everything went black.

Back at the present, Jordan was completely shocked in horror at his story as Zeus grimly finished, "When I wake up, I found myself in CodeX and after I waited, Ms. Reyheart told me the fate of my world, and... my loved ones."

Upon saying this, Zeus sheds a tear, which he starts to cry upon remembering that memory.

"I heard villains always showed no mercy, but this is just despicable," Jordan said in anger. She then embraced Zeus in a warm comforting hug. "We will save them. I swear, on my life the Black Tundra will pay for what they did!"

"Thank you," Zeus said, smiling as he returned as he returned the hug.

Suddenly they heard a loud scream from outside. They rushed out into the main hall to find Sam, along with Alex and Clover, at the door of the former's apartment. However, Clover's hair was all frizzy, like she had gotten shocked or something. Nearby, Rotom floated near the girls, laughing.

"AAH! My hair!," Clover shrieked angrily before turning to Rotom. "Whatever you are, you are so DEAD!"

But as she charged at Rotom in anger, it quickly dodged and shocks her again.

"Looks like Sam brought her best friends for a tourof her apartment! Doubt it's peaceful thanks to Rotom," Jordan quipped. "Oh man, we better stop it before Clower gets anymore angry."

"Right behind you!"

"I'm gonna get you you little-," Clover shrieked as she charged at Rotom, who now scared, hovered off with her giving chase. Jordan and Zeus quickly ran after her. The four ran back and forth in the hall as Alex and Sam watched, with Clover screaming about what she was gonna do with Rotom once she caught it.

Eventually, Zeus managed to run ahead of Rotom and grabbed it.

"STOP!," he yelled at Clover, who, along with Jordan stopped in their tracks before he turned to Rotom. "Bad Rotom, very bad Rotom!"

Rotom slumped in shame as Alex and Sam came over to them.

"Sorry, Rotom just loves to play pranks on people," Zeus explained.

"Well, keep it away from my hair, will ya?!," Clover shrieked.

"So I guess you two will be staying here with Sam?," Jordan asked.

"Yeah, until they get our world back to normal completely," Alex said somewhat sadly.

"Yeah, I know just how you feel," Zeus said. "Those evil Tundra people took over my world too."

The three spies looked at him in confusion.

"But aren't you from this world?," Sam asked.

"Well actually…," Zeus said as he pressed a button on his RunCom changing into his real-life form shocking the spies. "I'm Professor Samuel Oak from the Pokemon world."

"Whoa, how'd you-," Clover asked in astonishment.

"Long story," Oak said as he told them about how his world was taken over. As he did so, Rotom wandered away from the group. As it turned a corner, it saw a glowing light ahead of it. Curious, he began to venture towards it. Back with the group, Oak had just finished his story.

"And that's how I ended up here."

"Wow, that's really sad," Alex said. "I sort of feel the same way, about having to leave those we care about back home with those creeps."

"Me too," Clover said.

"Me three," Sam agreed too.

"Well I promise, we will get your worlds back, no matter what it takes," Jordan said to them.

Suddenly, they heard Rotom screaming somewhere.

"What the heck?! Please don't tell me it accidentally possess a computer," Jordan said.

"I doubt it possess any. Come on!"

They two of them ran around the corner of the hall to see Rotom getting sucked into a portal.

"Oh-no!," Oak shouted as he grabbed Rotom. "Hold on!"

He tried his best to pull his Pokemon away but the portal's pull was too strong and he would up being sucked in with him. Jordan quickly grabbed onto his legs, but would up being pulled in with them. Sam, Alex and then Clover grabbed jordan's and each other's legs as well, only to be pulled in themselves. They all fell screaming through the portal and eventually landed right on the ground. They all got up and looked to see they were all in a city.

"Where are we?," Sam asked. Jordan looked around and saw people and Pokemon just standing there not moving at all.

"We must be in the Pokemon world!" she exclaimed. She then a sign that said, "Welcome to Lumoise City."

"Lumoise City? We must be in the Kalos region!"

"Look!," Oak said as he pointed to a man with a lab coat like him with a boy and two girls.

"Professor Sycamore!," Oak exclaimed.

"Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie!," Jordan said.

"Well if this is your world, where are those Tundra creeps?," Alex asked.

"And like, why is no one moving?," Clover wondered.

"I wish I knew," Oak said.

"Me too," Jordan agreed as the two looked over the scene with the three spies.
