It's time to train up the team for the Grand Magic Games! The next will be the start of the coming games and the interactions between the Phoenix Dawn mages and various wizards from the other guilds! Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!

At the edge of Roseshade, a small group of people were waiting around. Those people were Spiral, Sakura, Flora, Hikari, Azusa and Aqua. Sakura was pacing back and forth impatiently with a gradually growing vein on her head.
"What the hell is taking Jay so long?" Sakura asked. "Doesn't he know that we have to train for the Grand Magic Games?"
"The games are only three months away, but Master Blaise wants us to make sure that we get in as much training as possible so we can win." Azusa said.
"As long as I get to have some alone time with Spiral, that's fine by me." Hikari said as she affectionately held onto Spiral's arm and gazed at his face.
"SOOOOOORRYYYYYY!"
Jayden came running towards them with Wilbur flying at his side until he finally reached the rest of the group. Both of them were out of breath and panting extremely heavily.
"How come you guys were the last to show up?" Aqua asked.
Jayden held up one finger to tell them to wait a minute and let him catch his breath. After he was able to breathe normally again, he swallowed and responded to Aqua's query.
"My Mom was being a little clingy this morning." Jayden said.
"Anyway, is this all of us?" Spiral asked.
"Should be." Jayden replied. "Everyone else either paired up with the others or went off on their own."
"Well, what else are we waiting for? Let's go!" Sakura said before running off.
"Hey, slow down!" Azusa exclaimed as she and the others chased after her.
The group finally arrived at their training grounds for the next three months. It was in the middle of a forest and right next to a waterfall, a large log cabin that offered a great view of the entire forest.
"How exactly are we supposed to train here?" Spiral asked.
"Exercise, try to regulate your magic use, just be creative." Jayden said. "We should probably take our bags into the cabin and start our training."
Everyone made their way up the man-made steps to the cabin and opened the door to take a look inside. They saw a large den with an incredibly long couch and a kitchen complete with everything expected from a 5-star restaurant.
"Holy crap! This looks amazing!" Sakura said.
"Agreed." Flora simply nodded as she continued to look at the cabin in awe.
Spiral jumped over the back of the couch and lied down on it.
"Man, this has got to be the most comfortable couch I've been on…" Spiral sighed contently.
Hikari went into the kitchen and looked inside the refrigerator.
"There are all kinds of food here!" Hikari gasped. "There's enough here to cook meals for us for three months!"
Azusa went down the hallway and opened one of the doors to find a bedroom with four beds in it. She leapt onto one of the beds and it moved about like it was filled with water.
"And we've got waterbeds!" Azusa said.
Aqua found a note on the kitchen counter and read it out loud.
"'There's a hot spring to the north of here, closer to the mountain. You can all bathe there. You should have everything you'll need for your training period. Blaise.' Wow, she thought of everything!"
"Remember, guys." Jayden said. "We're here to train, so I suggest we get some done now and relax later."
"But I just got into my lazy zone." Spiral said.
"I've never been on a waterbed before." Azusa said.
"I'm really anxious to see the bath." Aqua said.
"Seems like the only ones taking this seriously are you and Sakura." Flora said to Jayden.
Flora turned toward where Sakura was, but noticed that she was sneaking into the fridge to steal the vegetables, but Hikari smacked her hand away.
"Don't give me the stink-eye!" Sakura said as Hikari did exactly that.
"… I guess it's just you." Flora said.
"Jayden's not interested in training to win the games." Wilbur said. "He's doing it to impress-Mmf!"
Jayden placed his hand over Wilbur's mouth to muzzle him.
"It's not important." Jayden nervously laughed before leaning in toward Wilbur and whispering in his ear. "Like I said the other day, don't mention it to anyone else."
"Forget what I said." Wilbur said to Flora.
"I wonder what the others are doing." Jayden muttered to himself.
Somewhere else in Fiore, Melody and Frost were sparring with each other in their undergarments, trading and blocking blows move for move while Cole just watched from the sidelines.
"Oh yeah..." Cole said as he stared at the women's bouncing breasts. "Now this is what I call a vacation…"
Back in Roseshade, Haru went to the steam room at the local sauna. She wrapped herself in a towel and spent the whole time meditating as sweat gleamed down her body.
Back at by the log cabin, Jayden was doing pull-ups on a tree branch that was right underneath the waterfall while Wilbur sat on a dry rock near him.
"Remind me why you're naked." Wilbur said, looking away from him.
"I don't want to get my clothes wet." Jayden answered as he continued his pull-ups.
"What if the girls see?" Wilbur asked.
"I don't know what everyone's problem is. If they don't want me to see them naked, that's fine, but I have no problem with them seeing me naked."
"… Maybe you should get their opinion."
"AAAHH!" A shriek came from the steps.
Jayden stopped doing his pull-ups to see all the girls walking down them. Azusa and Flora had their hands over their eyes, Aqua staring at him and blushing, Sakura completely ignoring it and continuing her way down the steps and Hikari just looked furious.
"Dammit, Jay!" Hikari shouted. "Spiral was supposed to be my first naked man!"
"I thought you saw him naked when we all want to the Nosferatu mansion." Jayden said. "I have Jason's memories, remember?"
"Wait, you did what?" Azusa asked, still keeping her eyes covered.
"I never told anyone, you jerk!" Hikari started pushing Aqua to keep her moving. "Come on, let's get to our training."
Azusa and Flora were about to run after them, but Azusa tripped and fell on top of Hikari and Aqua. They all rolled down the hill until they reached the bottom where Sakura was just standing over them.
"… You should have watched where you were going." Sakura simply said.
The other girls simply glared at her.
After a long day of training, Spiral, Jayden and Wilbur went to the hot springs to clean and relax.
"Ah, this feels so good." Jayden sighed.
"Yeah, it does…" Wilbur agreed.
"So, now that you have Jason's memories, do you still like her?" Spiral asked.
"Who?" Jayden asked.
"Who was it again? Wendy, I think?" Spiral asked.
"Oh, actually I'm over her." Jayden replied.
"Really? That's somewhat of a relief." Spiral said. "Did someone else catch your eye?"
"Excuse me?"
"You know, just between us guys here. I won't bring it up to anyone else. I promise."
"Fine."
Jayden tried to lean in, but Spiral scooted to the side a bit.
"Could you just whisper it from your lips?" Spiral asked. "I'll be able to hear you fine, no one will be able to hear us… and I don't have to be sitting right next to another naked guy."
"… Kagura…" Jayden whispered in the quietest possible voice.
"Her? Huh? Why?"
"Well, I was already infatuated with her when you rescued me, but now that I have Jason's memories I'm even more infatuated with her."
"Well, I can definitely see why you like her. I'd like to say, but someone over there is peeping!"
Spiral turned toward the wooden divide that separated the men's and the women's sections of the bath.
On the other side of the divide, Aqua and Hikari quickly backed off from their peepholes and waded to where Sakura, Flora and Azusa were bathing.
"That's what you get for being a peeping tom." Azusa said.
"By the way, didn't you already see Jay naked earlier today, Aqua?" Sakura questioned.
"I can't help it." Aqua said. "He's just too sexy."
"In my defense, I was only checking out my boyfriend." Hikari said.
June 30, X791
With the three months of training completed, everyone had returned to the Phoenix Dawn guild hall to wait for the announcement.
"I hope the two of us get picked." Eden said to Lionel.
"Of course we will." Lionel said.
"I know I'm going to get picked." Vincent said.
"I'm not too confident I'll get picked." Heart mumbled to herself.
"I see that everyone is here!"
Everyone looked up to see Blaise standing on the second floor.
"I'm well aware that you've all been training hard these past three months." Blaise said. "But unfortunately, only a select few of you will be able to participate in the games. I personally chose these wizards based on numerous qualities, including strength, willpower and honor. The wizards to represent Phoenix Dawn in the Grand Magic Games are…"
Everyone waited in silence to hear the names to be announced.
"Spiral Yuki!"
"I won't let you down, Master Blaise." Spiral said as he pumped his fist.
"Sakura Momohime!"
"Aw yeah!" Sakura said before she and Flora did a high five.
"Jayden Oceari!"
"I thought your last name was Lexus." Spiral said to Jayden.
"My family didn't want me to lose my reputation like they did, so they let me choose a last name." Jayden said. "So I decided to name myself in honor of Oceari."
"Azusa Hirano!"
"I'll perform to the best of my abilities!" Azusa gave Blaise a salute.
"Aqua Mare!"
"Phew, I actually made the team." Aqua sighed to herself before thinking. *This is my chance to prove my family wrong.*
"And for your reserve member in case one of you becomes incapacitated, Hikari Suta!"
"M-me?" Hikari gasped. "I'm on the same team as Spiral! Yay!"
Hikari glomped Spiral to the ground.
"Aw, I thought for sure I'd get picked!" Lionel whined.
"Actually, there's more." Blaise said. "This year, each guild is permitted two teams to participate. So you may just end up being on the second team. Melody Quinn, Frost Sokolov, Static, Haru Hono, Tristan Mercer and Xanders Nosferatu! You six will make up the team B!"
"She didn't even bother to pick me…" Vincent grumbled to himself.
"Again?!" Lionel comically sobbed with only Eden and Volt there to console him.
"Now that the teams have been assembled, we can finally get going." Blaise said. "Phoenix Dawn's inn in Crocus will be the Greedy Mimic, so we'll all be staying there during the games."
A/N: Sorry if all of the OCs participating in the Grand Magic Games are my own. To make it up to you, please PM me details of story arcs I can do to develop your OCs and give them a chance to shine. I know I've been neglecting them a lot, but at the same time I can understand how many of you can be frustrated by it. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter! Stay tuned for next time!
