A/N: Sorry for the year-and-a-half long wait, been busy with a lot lately. But here's part 2 of Ocean and River's introduction episode! For your enjoyment!

Race to Rescue the Reunion: Part 2

At the left wing of the mall, the Runners, along with Andre and Layla had arrived after tracing the GPS signal to Ryder's phone there. They entered and found the place crawling with police officers, particularly near the comfort room in the back.

"Okay, now what?," Calla asked.

"We get in there and see what we can find out," Jordan answered with determination.

"I hope Ryder's okay," Bren said. The group then snuck to the back to the comfort room and entered it. They had just started to look around, when…

"Hey, you kids!," an officer called to them. "This is a crime scene, you can't be in here!"

"Yeah, step away from the tape. Can't you read?," another officer snorted at them.

"Come on you guys, this is-," a third officer said to them as he started to escort them out of the room when he looked at Jordan and stopped, seemingly recognizing her. "Hey wait, I know you. You're Waters' kid. Jordan, right?"

"Yeah…Officer Miles, is that you?," Jordan replied.

"Yeah, what are you do-," Officer Miles started to say when…

"So looks like we got a sudden disappearance, likely kidnapping," a familiar voice said. Everyone looked to see, in the middle of the crime scene, none other than…

"OCEAN?!," they all said in unison. Ocean glanced around, observing the scene and immediately noticed the unusual looking prints of what seemed to be boots on the floor. He glanced to the left and saw some blue cake frosting on the side of a table. And finally, behind the footprints he noticed a powdery substance all over the floor.

"I see. This culprit not only kidnapped him for a ransom, but also had a few accomplices to help him," He muttered as he was put into thought. "River, what do you make of these footprints?"

His sister, who was right behind him, took a closer look at the prints and said, "Well, I don't know what kind of brand they are, but I can only tell you that this boots are very rare and not available to the public."

"I see. It's as if the boots are part of a uniform of some kind. I'd say either that of a terrorist organization or a vengeful and/or psychopathic group."

The entire UR Club's (sans Jordan and Bren) jaws dropped as they became astonished at the twins (mostly Ocean's) detective skills.

"Wow, that's almost just what the Black Tundra would be described as," Layla said.

"I know, he just put all those clues together like it was nothing," Calla said.

"Wow, he'd make a great cop just like his dad and yours," Itzal said.

"He'd probably make Chief of Police somewhere if he's lucky," Kani said.

"How did he make those theories about the crime in a short time?," Zeus asked. "It's just so incredible."

"Yeah, if you're a unrealistic teen turned into a kid detective that Jordan often like to watch watched," Bren said with sarcasm, before he was kicked in his stomach by his said cousin out of anger. "Dude, what did I do?!"

"You were just being your regular annoying self, that's what!"

"Once again you've put your foot in your mouth, Bren," Andre agreed. "Just be lucky Jordan didn't put it in there."

"Shut it, Andre!," Bren snapped.

"But you know guys, Ocean shouldn't get all the credit," Jordan told her friends. "River is a big help too. She helps Ocean put the clues together and figure out the crime and perpetrator."

"Yeah, she's the Yin to his Yang, the Ebony to his Ivory, the Robin to his Batman," Bren added. "They're essentially a dynamic duo of detectives."

"Yeah, I bet they'll crack this case wide open for us," Calla said.

Upon hearing Calla's words, and realizing that Jordan's twin cousins might put themselves in danger, Zeus started to say, "In any case, you should leave it to the poli-"

However, he was quickly shut up by Jordan's flying kick (which missed him) before she whispered to him in panic, "Don't say those words! You know O.C. doesn't like being told to stay in the sidelines!"

"Do we have any choice?! They don't know about Black Tundra and they will be subjected to the dangers that the cult has," Zeus said.

"Which is all the more reason to let them in on the Tundra, the Runners and everything else," Jordan said. "Ryder is just as much their cousin as he is ours, and if he and the rest of our family is in trouble, we need all the help we can get to protect them from the cult's evil."

"Jordan does have a reasonable point," Kani said.

"Yeah, but what about Ms. Reyheart," Zeus reminded him. "She'd never allow it."

"I could talk to her, soften her up to the idea," Layla suggested.

"Maybe, but will she approve of it?"

"We'll just have to wait and see."

However, Zeus is still adamant at this and said, "Nonetheless, I am not letting your cousins investigate this case any longer. I won't let them suffer the same fate as my loved ones."

"Look, they could really help us on this," Itzal said. "I know they can."

"I don't care! They are not getting involved and that's that!," Zeus said.

"Newsflash, dude! They're already involved!"

"Not anymore! I want them out!"

Soon the two were caught in a full-fledged argument, until finally…

"ENOUGH!," Jordan shouted, stopping the argument and startling everyone.

"Hey, look, um… River and I think you guys should work this out," Ocean said uneasily.

"If you need us, we'll be back at the arcade and art store," River agreed as she and Ocean left the store.

As the twins left, everyone then glared at Zeus about the fight as Bren said, "Way the go, killjoy."

"Do I have any choice? We're investigating this on our own and that's that!" Zeus said in anger.

"Hey, hold on," Jordan said. "I'm the leader, you're my second-in-command! I'll determine what we do."

"You want to put them in danger?! After what happened to your other cousin?"

"They can handle themselves."

"I'll believe it when I see it."

"In any case, let's report this to Ms. Reyheart. Maybe she has any ideas on our missing cousin," Jordan suggested until without warning, a familiar voice rang up and said from the speakers. "All about the WOOHP express, departing in three, two, one…"

"Oh, great!," Jordan said as the Runners were sucked away via a nearby trash can in the area, and tumbled through the tunnel before landing right in Tina's office, along with small pile of garbage.

"Oscar, clean up in my office," Tina said as she pressed an intercom. Moments later, a janitor came and swept away the trash from the group.

"A garbage can? Really?!," Jordan glared.

"But on the bright side, you didn't suffered from being dragged into a limousine like kidnapping again," Tina pointed out.

"Good point. So you managed to eavesdrop on our conversation?" Jordan asked, which her friends suspiciously glared at her about the "eavesdrop" word. "Hey, it's just a guess, you know."

"Thankfully no since that's against the laws in this world," Tina said as she stares at Jerry, which he only pouted. "But I did learn about your missing cousin through some officers, which they are also Runners."

"But I'm completely surprised about this revelation. Are you sure that the -Black Tundra- membersare responsible for the kidnapping?" Jerry asked. "I mean, those fiends are quick and calculating in their evil plans sometimes. So how can you be certain?"

"I heard a sound of a portal opening through Jordan and Bren's call and I'm the only one who can recognize that familiar sound," Zeus explained.

"True. Their equipment may not be advanced, but their gadgets are not to be trifled with. Well, if what you're saying is true, then our enemy has clearly decided to hit you where it will hurt the most," Tina said with deep concern in your voice. "Your family."

"Which is why we must stop them at all costs," Zeus said as he then looked at Jordan. "And without their help!"

"I'm telling you, they can help, if we could just tell them the truth! And like I said, they're already involved!," Jordan snapped back.

"Who's already involved?," Tina asked.

"Two more of Jordan and Bren's cousins, Ocean and River," Kani said. "They're kind of a detective prodigy tag-team and they're also here for the Waters family reunion."

"They helped conclude what happened to Ryder and Jordan wants to tell them the truth so they can use their skills to help, while Zeus wants them to stay out of it to avoid getting captured," Andre put in.

"Exactly, I don't want them meeting the same fate as my friends and family back in my world," Zeus put in.

"Hey, I'm the leader and I say we tell them the truth," Jordan said.

"Hold on a minute, Jordan," Tina said. "Zeus does have a point, getting them involved is very risky. However…if you do think they can help…then you have my permission to tell them.

"I'm gonna look at their backgrounds too, just in case," Jerry said. "In the meantime, you should try to trace the Tundra's next move, Tina."

"Already planning on it, Jerry," Tina said. "And you guys had best get to Jordan's other family members. They could be in great danger."

"Don't worry, we'll do everything possible to protect them," Jordan said. "Jerry, WOOHP us back...but NOT through the trash can tunnel."

With the push of a button, the group of eight were then sucked back up through the ceiling of the office.

Meanwhile, in the Black Tundra's world, the Tundra had Ryder in a containment unit under stasis.

"So we now have one of the Water Runners relatives as our prisoner," Kozai said. "Who should we go after next?"

"Hmm, I know some of the Fire Runner's family is also here for the reunion. I happen to have the perfect candidate for our next captive," Scam added.

"Hold on, fellas," Yune interjected looking from his computer screen. "My sources have told me that there are several relatives of those Runners that have incredible powers of the mind and could possibly expose us."

"So what do we do about them?," Vidal asked.

"Hmm, they've traveled here with their parents and…two sisters…"

"Sisters, huh…well, that's just more easy victims for us," Malgore said with an evil grin.

Meanwhile back with the Runners, they are now heading back to Jordan's house to see if her and Bren's families are safe.

"I hope my parents are still okay. Even though my dad's a cop, it doesn't mean he could take down those Tundra jerks so easily," Jordan said in worry.

"Don't worry, Jordan. I'm sure they're fine. You're dad's one tough hombre of a cop," Itzal said to his friend.

"Besides, if the cult's really behind this, I know we can able to save them without risking your identities to them," Kani added. "Remember, I'm the smartest Runner in the group."

"And also the prettiest. With those lovely green eyes, and those rosy–" Andre said when he was interrupted by Amica once more as she glared at him from Kani's bag once more, much to his dismay.

"Will you quit carrying that cat everywhere, Kani?," Andre asked Kani.

"Will you quit trying to flirt with me, Andre?"

"No."

"Then no."

But as they arrived inside Jordan's house, Ricky rushed in and hugged his daughter before he said, "Jordan! I'm so glad you're safe!"

"Y-Yeah, I'm glad you to see you too. B-But...can you please... stop hugging?! I can't breathe!"

Her father finally let go as Jordan catch her breath before Bren said, "So, you heard about Ryder's disappearance?"

"Yes. Miles and Jarkowski told me. Everyone's worried. But the reunion is still gonna go on I promise you."

"I'm guessing that Mom and Uncle Kelo insisted on it," Jordan asked her father.

"Yeah. And my boys at the department are doing everything possible to find Ryder. They're looking into any criminals who might have a grudge against me."

"Well, Mr. Waters sir, we've been looking into this and we don't think it's a normal criminal," Calla said.

"You don't?"

"No," Zeus said. "I mean, no crook can just make someone instantly vanish with no trace like this."

To their shock, Ocean came behind Ricky said, "Besides, with this abnormal disappearance, I doubt this is a work of any criminal in this city."

"Well, if I didn't know any better, I'd say tall, blond, and good-looking here, is the one behind the disappearances!," Ricky said. "He gets upset because I don't like him, so he decides to get rid of all of our family so they won't object to him, like I do. That's gotta be it!"

"Hey!" Zeus shouted, now offended and felt that his dislike started to spread to this case.

Confused, Ocean then whispered to Bren, "What's with our uncle's hostility to your friend?"

"He thinks that Zeus got a thing on Jordan, which he is really too old for her taste," Bren quipped, only for Itzal to elbow him in annoyance.

"Anyways with the exception of Zeus as a suspect, maybe you should ask your friends from the station to protect our family right now," Jordan suggested.

"I can try, but the LAPD is sort of undergoing some budgets cuts, so I'm not sure how much protection Captain Ames can allow," Ricky answered.

"Well, lets just hope it'll be enough," Itzal added.

"I agree," Ocean asked.

Suddenly, Ricky's phone started to ring and answered it in a hurry.

"Hello? Hey Sergeant, I'm off-duty, remember?"

But as he listened to what his colleague has to say, Ricky's eyes widened in horror and shouted, "WHAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY BROTHER'S CAR WAS FOUND RUNNING AND ABANDONED BEHIND A STORE?"

Upon hearing this, everyone gasped in horror, especially Ocean and River.

"So there's no sign of Blaine, Astrid, or my nieces anywhere? Like they vanished into thin air?"

"Nia, Lake, Mom and Dad…no…," River gasped.

"Well, that's four more of my family that's gone missing. Find them!," Ricky snapped as he hung up and stormed out of the room overcome with worry. Everyone looked at each other with concern.

"Not our family too. What is going on here?," Ocean exclaimed.

"That's what we're gonna find out. Let's go, guys!," Jordan said,

"We're coming too."

"No, you stay here. The last thing we need is more of our family going missing."

The Runners left to try and investigate the crime scene, leaving Ocean and River still worried.

Back in the Black Tundra's world, the Tundra had Jordan's uncle, aunt, and cousins under stasis in containment units next to Ryder.

"This is even easier than I thought," Malgore said. "Who should we abduct next?"

"We could go after those two cousins who have those powers of the mind Yune mentioned," Willard suggested.

"Actually, we should go after some of the Fire Runners' side of the family next…and I know the perfect ones…"

At the scene of the grocery store, the Runners had arrived and after talking to the police found the same clues as in Ryder's kidnapping: the rare bootprints, the note that more than one kidnapper was involved, and the mystery powdery substance all over the ground.

"Well, looks like we were right, the same guys who grabbed Ryder, grabbed Ocean and River's family too," Jordan said as they walked away from the scene of the crime.

"I managed to get a sample of the powder found," Layla said, holding up a vial. "We should get it to Tina and Jerry for analysis."

"Good idea, but how are we gonna get to them-unless they WOOHP us again," Itzal pointed out. As the group started to leave, a limo pulled up, and rolled down it's passenger window, revealing Tina.

"So another abduction?," she asked the Runners.

"Yeah, our cousins' parents and sisters," Jordan said. "We definitely think the Black Tundra's behind this."

"Plus, we collected some of the powder from the scene. Maybe you and Jerry can see what it is?," Zeus said as Layla handed her the vial with the powder.

"Good job. I'll get this to Jerry for analysis. In the meantime, you best keep an eye out on the rest of your family members."

Just then, Bren's phone buzzed and he took it out of her pocket to look at it.

"Speaking of family, we should get home. Jordan's brother, my cousin Conway and my mom and grandparents all just arrived," Bren said.

"Wait, Conway's there?! Alright, let's go!," Jordan said excited. She had been looking forward to seeing her brother for a long while now.

"It'll be great to see Bren's mom and grandparents again too, after our visit to the Philippines," Kani said.

"Yeah, maybe your brothers and sisters are with them too," Calla added.

"They're here too, they're just with our aunt Lily and cousin Nali getting supplies at Party Castle," Bren notified the group.

"Well, I'll try to get the results of the powdery substance as soon as possible. Until then be careful, and good luck, Runners," Tina said. She then gave her driver the signal and the limo drove away, as the Runners and company made their way back to Jordan's home.

Meanwhile, as they spoke Jordan and Bren's aunt Lily (Vina and Kelo's sister) was at Party Castle shopping for more supplies along with her 14-year-old daughter Nali, and Bren's brothers and sisters.

"Well, I certainly hope this will be enough for your aunt Vina," Lily said. "You know how she loves her extravagance."

"Yeah, well, what did you expect from one of the biggest fashion designers out of the Philippines, mom?," Nali told her mom.

"Well, I just can't wait to see Dad again," Jomar said with excited.

"Yeah, and Aunt Vina and Uncle Ricky!," Mila and Sila said in delighted unison.

"And Bren and cousin Jordan too!," Ken finished. "And maybe their friends!"

"We'll see. In the meantime, let's just pay for this stuff and get back there," Lily said. Soon after, they all paid for the supplies and had walked back to Lily's van, loaded it, jumped in, and were driving back to the Waters' house.

However, on the way back, they saw a man in the road looking hurt, and on Nali's suggestion, decided too see if he was hurt.

Pulling over, Lily got out, and walked towards the man, who upon seeing her, started to stand up.

"Are you okay, sir? Do you need me to call for help for you?"

The man, then stood up all the way, revealing himself to be Issac Yune.

"Actually, no. I'm just fine."

Suddenly, he pulled a stun baton and shocked her unconscious. At the same time, a bunch of Tundra Enforcers ambushed the van, shocking every one of the kids unconscious and carrying them out.

"And now, back to our turf," Yune said with an evil grin as he created a portal in a nearby alley with his bracer.

Back at the Waters' residence, the Runners arrived to find Ocean and River waiting.

"There you guys are," Ocean said. "Bren's mom and grandparents, are in the living room, and Conway's in the kitchen."

The group then headed to the living room, where Bren was swept up into a hug by his mother, Rosalina and grandparents, Rodel and Marrisa as everyone watched.

"Hey, Jordie," a voice said. Jordan and the other's turned to see a 23-year-old guy with shoulder-length blue hair, and wearing a black shirt, pants, and shoes.

"Conway!," Jordan shouted with glee as she ran over and jumped into her big brother's arms. As this happened, Layla got a call on her phone and went into the other room to answer it.

"How's my favorite little sister in the whole wide world?"

"I'm your only little sister in the whole wide world, silly."

"Right, right."

"I was wondering when you'd get here."

"Oh, come on, I wouldn't miss our big family reunion for anything!"

Just then, Layla peeked around the corner and signaled for the Runners to come over to her, which they did.

"Um, would you excuse me for a second, Conway," Jordan said to her brother. "It's a little urgent."

"No prob. We can catch up later. I'm just gonna go speak to the rest of the fam," Conway replied.

Jordan and Bren joined the other's in the hall as Layla said, "It's Ms. Reyheart on speaker. Okay, boss, what do you got?"

"First, that powder you found at the scenes of the disappearances, it's flash phosphorous powder," Tina said. "And get this: it's the kind that's left behind from a trans-dimensional portal; not the kind that Zeus can make, but the kind that a portal generation machine can do."

"Sort of like the bracers that the Black Tundra use," Andre brought up.

"Exactly. And second, just a few minutes ago, Jerry and I picked up the activation of a portal near the corner of King and Fairview."

"Isn't that near Party Castle…where Aunt Lily and my cousins are...," Jordan spoke uneasily as she and Bren looked at each other in shock and realization. "Oh, no."

"We gotta get there, right now!," Bren snapped as he and Jordan ran for the door, with the others following. As they did, they ran past Ocean and River, who were soon confounded by this.

"Hey, what's going on?," River asked.

"Sorry, no time to explain," Jordan said quickly.

"But, Jordan-," Ocean began to say as everyone but Bren ran outside.

"She said no time!," Bren said, as he run out, and closed the door behind him. Ocean and River glanced at each other before deciding to check out their cousin's room. It was time to get to the bottom of all this secrecy once and for all.

The twins quickly snuck upstairs to Jordan's bedroom and slipped inside. Upon entering, they began searching around her belongings for answers.

"I sure hope Jordan doesn't get angry for going through her stuff like this," Ocean said worried.

"Yeah, well she brought it on herself, for keeping secrets," River told him. Just then she took notice of something. "Hey, check this out."

She picked up several pictures that were on Jordan's desk, and showed them to her brother.

"Pictures…of Tony Clark from the Amazing Spiez and Professor Oak from Pokemon?"

"Man, Jordan sure loves her cartoons. Apparently enough to get screencaps of them," said River.

"Yeah…except these aren't screencaps," Ocean pointed out.

"Say what?"

"Look at the backgrounds. These are from areas around here Los Angeles, not from Southdale or the Pokemon world. Now that would only be possible if they were doctored…"

The two of them glanced at each other in shock and awe as they said in unison, "Or they were real and here in the city."

"But that can-," Ocean started to say, but then in the corner of his eye, he caught notice of a peculiar game cover. He picked it up and read its title:

"Universal Legends Online."

"As in the big-name, hypnosis-virtual, our home-away-from-home MMORPG Universal Legends Online?," River asked in astonishment.

Ocean continued to stare at the video game cover, then looked at the pictures, then thought back to the secrecy and remembered the Com Devices on her and her friends' wrists.

"That's it!"

In Ocean's mind, four mystery cards flipped over to reveal their clues: -Com Devices-, -Universal Legends Online-, -Secrecy and Apt Team Investigation- and -Non-Screencap Pictures-. The cards then fused into each other like the last two, creating a flash of white light in Ocean's mind.

THIS IS IT!

"I know that look, your gift just kicked in, didn't it?," River said.

"Yep, and I know what Jordan and her friends have been hiding from us," Ocean said as he then whispered his realization to her.

"No way!"

"Way way! Come on sis, I think we need to have a heart-to-heart with our cousin."

The two then left Jordan's room and ran to catch up with her and the rest of the group.

A/N: Well, looks like the cat's out of bag. How will the twins reveal their knowledge of the Club's secret? Will their family members be saved? And will the kids ever get to taste that special cake? Find out in the long-overdue finale, coming soon!
