Here is the battle between Lucy and Flare! There are a couple of changes I'm going to do with this without necessarily cheating on the character development. I hope you all enjoy!

In the stadium of Domus Flau, Lucy and Flare stood while the rest of the teams and the audience waited in anticipation. Lucy just glared at Flare, who seemed to be staring at her with a crazy look in her eyes.

"Go get 'em, Lucy!" Lionel cheered from Phoenix Dawn's section of the stands.

"You're awfully upbeat about this." Spiral said.

"That's because he-" Volt was about to say before Flora gave him a death glare.

"Steal my line and you're dead." Flora said.

Spiral turned his attention toward Tristian, who seemed to be intently examining Flare.

"What's wrong, Tristan?" Spiral asked.

"I'm just thinking…" Tristan replied. "How smoking hot that Flare chick is. I mean, just look at that perfect figure. There are so many things I'd do to her I don't even know where to start."

"Please don't tell us any of them." Spiral said.

"Mr. Yajima, I understand that the Masters of these two guilds are father and son." Chapati said over the microphone. "Although, family relations don't mean anything if you wear different guild marks. The fighters have 30 minutes. If you can knock out your opponent within that time period, you win. Now for our first match! Begin!"

"Here goes!" Lucy said as she pulled out a golden key. "Open, Gate of the Golden Bull! Taurus!"

"Moooooo!" A large cow-man appeared out of thin air and swung his axe at Flare.

Flare jumped out of the way with that crazy look still in her eyes.

"Scorpio!"

A tan-skinned man with a scorpion tail appeared out of thin air and aimed his tail toward Flare.

"Yeehah! Sand Buster!"

A twister of sand shot from the tail and toward Flare, but her hair grew out and blocked the sand twister like a shield.

"Her hair grew out?!" Sakura exclaimed.

"That is so creepy." Hikari said.

"I wonder how kinky she can be with that hair." Tristan said.

"Okay, you need to keep your thoughts to yourself." Spiral said.

"Taurus, take Scorpio's sand!" Lucy ordered.

"Say no mooore!" Taurus said.

Scorpio's sand began to swirl around Taurus's axe and he swung it at Flare.

"Sandstorm Axe: Aldebaran!"

Several small tornadoes of sand stormed the area Taurus struck and they sent Flare flying into the air.

"Blondie…" She growled. "Hair Shower: Wolf Fang!"

Flare's hair expanded and transformed into the shape of a wolf that was heading straight for Lucy.

"Open, Gate of the Giant Crab! Cancer!"

A man with sunglasses, crab-themed scissors and crab legs protruding from his back appeared and cut the hair wolf with his scissors.

"If you need a haircut, I'm your crab, ebi!" Cancer said.

Flare was on her hands and knees on the ground and she looked distraught when her hair got cut. "My… My hair! You…"

Flare shot two strands of her hair into the ground and it came up from underneath Lucy, wrapping around her legs and hurling her into the air.

"My red hair moves wherever I want it to." Flare said before slamming Lucy into the ground with her hair. "Take that!"

"Well my Fleuve d'étoiles…" Lucy pulled something off her belt and a stream of magic energy extended and wrapped itself around Flare's arm. "… Moves however I want it to!"

Lucy and Flare swung their weapons, only for both of them to flip and spin together in the air until they both hit the ground hard. Lucy managed to get up without a problem while Flare just lied on the ground, looking a little scared.

"From the very first match, we see a back-and-forth that doesn't leave any time to breath!" Chapati said to the audience. "Father and son guilds! A woman-on-woman fight! And neither is giving an inch!"

"I would say that Fairy Tail has a bit of an advantage." Jenny said into her microphone.

"Ngh… My boots…" Lucy groaned as she took off her seared boots.

"My hair…" Flare looked at Lucy in terror. "My burning… red hair… That's… all it did?" After a glance at the stands, Flare dug her hair into the ground. "Blondie…"

Lucy looked around to see where the hair might pop up, but Flare, with her head tilted to the side like a crazy person, and pointed her finger toward the stands. At that same time, Spiral looked toward Fairy Tail's section of the stands.

"What is it, Spiral?" Hikari asked.

Spiral stomped his foot on the ground and felt the shockwave reverberate through the coliseum, all while Lucy was getting beaten up by Flare without putting up a fight. When he finished scanning the area, Spiral went over to the edge of the stands and looked over at Fairy Tail's section of the stands.

"She's holding the little girl there hostage." Spiral said. "One of us has to go and get rid of that strand of hair."

"I think Natsu's already on it." Sakura pointed to the crowded stands to show that Natsu was running toward his guild's section of the stands.

"That's all well and good, but who knows if Raven Tail will continue to cheat their way through the games." Spiral said. "While Natsu takes care of the hair, another one of us should prevent the rest of them from doing anything suspicious."

"I'm on it!" Hikari said as she ran into the audience sitting behind Raven Tail.

"What happened here?" Chapati wondered. "What was an intense head-to-head battle is now a one-sided slaughter!"

After a solid beating from Flare, Lucy slumped to the ground in defeat.

"I… surre-" Lucy was about to say until Flare's hair wrapped around her mouth, wrists and ankles.

"Did I give you permission to talk?" Flare asked, looking particularly sadistic. "Blondie!"

Her hair lifted Lucy up into the air.

"You don't get to surrender." Flare said. "I have so many games to play with you first. Remember, don't make a sound. Unless it's a scream. Ahahaha! Hmm… What should I do to you first? It could be fun to strip you naked… Especially in front of all these people."

"This lady's going too far with this!" Azusa shouted. "Why aren't the refs stopping this fight?!"

"That was a good idea, but I've just had a better one." Flare said as a piece of her hair transformed into a burning red Raven Tail guild mark. "I'm going to brand you with Raven Tail's mark, a mark that will stay with you your whole life. Where would you like it? Hmm? I know! You want it right over your Fairy Tail brand!"

"Please! Anything but that!" Lucy screamed.

"I told you to be quiet!" Flare shouted.

"No! Stop!" Lucy yelled.

Before Flare could brand Lucy, Natsu managed to make it to Fairy Tail's section of the stands and rip and burn the strand of hair to ash.

"Lucy! Now!" Natsu shouted.

"Gemini!"

Two small blue puffy beings appeared, both of them tearing Flare's hair that was trapping Lucy and one of them bashing into Flare's face.

"Ow!" Flare skid across the ground.

"Do it!" Lucy said.

"But we don't know if we can!" Gemi said.

"We need more practice!" Mini said.

"Whatever, just transform into me!" Lucy requested.

"Yes, ma'am!" Gemini said as they transformed into Lucy… Wearing only a bath towel.

Lionel looked at the partially nude Lucy with hearts in his eyes. "Oh, yeah!"

"Stop drooling, you pervert!" Eden said as he smacked Lionel in the back of the head.

Both Lucy and Gemini held hands together and a surge of magical energy started to emanate from them.

"Survey the skies, open the heavens, celestial bodies far and wide…" Lucy and Gemini chanted. "Show me your radiant countenance."

"What kind of spell is she casting?" Static asked.

"It's the ultimate Celestial spell." Melody answered. "Just continue watching."

"O Tetrabiblos, I am ruler of the stars." They continued chanting. "The planets are aligned."

Flare looked incredibly scared at the surge of power coming from Lucy. "What… What are you doing?"

"Throw wide the raging gate! All 88 constellations… SHINE! URANO METRIA!"

In Raven Tail's section of the stands, Alexei nodded at Obra, but suddenly a bright light began shining in front of them, completely blinding them. Right behind them, Hikari smirked while magic energy was discharging from her hand.

*You can't cheat your way out of something you can't see!* Hikari thought.

Lucy and Gemini shot 88 spheres of celestial power at Flare, each of them striking at her with tremendous power.

"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Flare screamed in agony.

When it finally ended, Flare was lying on the ground unconscious and her body spread out.

"Wow! What a comeback!" Chapati said. "Only the first match of the games and we already had one heck of a fight!"

"Way to go, Lucy!" Natsu cheered.

"Now that's what I'm talkin' about!' Lionel rose up from his seat and cheered.

"Such a shame Ms. Corona had to lose." Tristan said.

"Would you please drop it?" Static asked.

"The winner is Lucy Heartfilia of Fairy Tail Team A!" Chapati continued his announcement.

Lucy's victory made some people in the stands start to gossip.

"Fairy Tail actually won?"

"That girl's seriously strong!"

"And hot, too!"

"I didn't think Fairy Tail had wizards this powerful!"

Upon hearing the people start to cheer for Fairy Tail, Blaise smiled.

*Fairy Tail's finally regaining the respect they deserve.* Blaise thought. *This was the guild I wanted to join for so long…*

"As much as I like people scheering for Fairy Tail, we have to get to the nexsh mash." Yajima said.

"You're right, Mr. Yajima." Chapati agreed. "The next match will be Azusa Hirano of Phoenix Dawn Team A!"

Azusa stood up a little startled from her name being called. "M-me? I'm up?"

"Do your best, Azusa!" Spiral placed his hand on her shoulder. "We know you can do it!"

"And Ren Akatsuki of Blue Pegasus!"

"Go get 'em, Ren!" Jenny cheered.

After a few minutes of cleanup, Azusa and Ren made it to the arena and stared each other down.

"Let the second match of the Day 1 begin!"

"Don't think I'm gonna go easy on you just because you're cute." Ren looked away, trying to act coy.

"I don't find that act cute!" Azusa shouted. "Wind Guard!"

A green shield appeared in front of Azusa and a magical barrier surrounded her.

"Aerial Phose!"

Ren shot a powerful whirlwind at Azusa, but her barrier completely protected her from the assault.

"Elemental magic users are my specialty!" Azusa said. "Earth Sword!"

After her broadsword became surrounded by rocks, she swung it at the ground and a series of stalagmites made their way toward Ren and struck him. As Ren was sent flying into the air, he controlled the air currents around him and shot himself toward Azusa like a bullet. He bypassed her barrier and punched her in the face, but then Azusa kneed him in the groin.

"Ooh, right in the crown jewels!" Chapati said.

"I'm so sorry!" Azusa panicked as Ren collapsed to the ground. "I meant to kick you in the stomach!"

Azusa tried to pick him up, but she accidentally knocked her armored elbow into the back of his head and he was knocked unconscious.

"I… That was weird." Chapati said. "I don't know how exactly it happened, but it appears the winner is Azusa Hirano of Phoenix Dawn Team A!"

"Not the most elegant way to win, but it worked in our favor." Xanders said.

"Now, onto the next match!" Chapati said. "Ooh, we have an exciting matchup for our third match! Olga Nanagear of Sabertooth versus Sora Aokaze of White Valkyrie!"

In White Valkyrie's section of the stands, Sora was bowing to Kara and a woman who looked exactly like her, only she had shorter hair, a smaller chest and wore a black, royal blazer.

"Kara, Master Sylvia (Age 42), I won't let you down." Sora said.

"Make me proud, Sora." Sylvia said.

I hope you enjoyed the changes I made, especially considering that the only development of character in that needed is with Flare, so I feel like I did pretty well with that. And sorry for the Azusa and Ren fight for being so short, but with her powers, it seemed like that's how it would go. Besides, I want the next chapter dedicated to the Olga and Sora fight.
