Here's the next chapter! I hope you all enjoy!
July 3, X791
Erza Scarlet approached the gates of Pandemonium and in spectacular fashion she was taking out the monsters in droves with ease. Even when she was wounded, she still pushed on. People were mesmerized by it all, almost like it was an elegant dance. When the final monster was felled, Erza proudly stood with her sword held high and her body covered in bruises and blood, her Japanese Armor somewhat torn.
"I-I don't believe my eyes!" Chapati shouted into the microphone. "All alone, she vanquished one hundred monsters! She has cleared the entire palace! Is this the power of Fairy Tail from seven years ago?! A total victory that no one can argue with!"
Everyone was amazed by Erza's dominant victory. As her teammates approached her to congratulate her, a thought had occurred to Jayden's head.
"Wait a minute…" Jayden said. "If she defeated all of the monsters, does that mean we all get one point?"
Static overheard this and dropped his jaw. "That ain't fair! We deserve at least SOME points!"
After the crowd calmed down from excitement, a device was brought into the arena by some Rune Knights.
"W-well, to assign points to the rest of the contestants, we'll have to play a game that isn't exactly exciting." Chapati said.
"The Magic Power Finder!" Mato motioned to the device. "Or MPF for short. When you hit this machine with magic power, it assigns a point value to it and displays it. We'll assign rankings to these wizards based on these scores. We'll leave the order the same as before."
"That means I'm up first!" Millianna smirked.
Millianna threw off her cape and ran toward the MPF.
"Kitten Blast!"
She shot out a rope with a cat's paw at the end of it at the MPF and a display above it blinked '365'.
"We don't have anything to compare it to, so I don't know if that's a high score or not." Chapati said.
"We Rune Knights have introduced this device to our training." Lahar stated. "So I can tell you that this is a very high level, the same as a unit leader."
"My turn next." Hibiki walked up and straightened his tie. However, when he struck the MPF, the number displayed was '95', which caused him to keel to the ground in shame. "What have I done?"
"Out of the way, pansy." Static said as he walked forward and cracked his knuckles. "Time to show you what I can do! Lightning Charge!"
Massive currents of electricity emanated from Static's body and he smirked.
"Lightning Storm!"
A powerful bolt of lightning came down from the sky and the MPF displayed the number '3676'.
"Three-thousand?!" Millianna exclaimed in shock. "That's 10 times mine!"
Static walked back to the rest of the participants. "Beat that!"
It was now Obra's turn on the MPF.
*What kind of magic does this guy use?* Jayden thought. *We'll find out soon enough.*
A small black creature leapt from Obra and tackled the MPF, displaying a score of '4' and leaving Jayden and the Fairy Tail wizards flabbergasted.
"Is he taking this seriously?!" Jayden questioned.
"Now that was a disappoint result." Mato said as Cana, in her drunken stupor, took his hat and danced around with it. "But no do-overs, punkin!"
With Olga's turn up next, he looked to Static and scoffed.
"Tch, I can beat your score." Olga said.
"I'd like to see ya try!" Static boasted.
Olga charged a ball of black lightning in his hands. "120mm Black Lightning Cannon!"
A beam of black lightning shot from the orb and the MPF displayed '3825', to which Olga started to sing a victory song.
*Dammit! So close!* Static thought as he gritted his teeth.
"You can stop singing now, punkin!" Mato said.
"Now everyone is wondering if the Wizard Saint Jura can beat that number!" Chapati announced.
"I am allowed to give my all, right?" Jura asked Mato.
"Of course you are, punkin." Mato answered.
Jura clapped his hands together, almost as if in prayer.
"Rumbling Mt. Fuji!"
A burst of earth and hot rocks exploded underneath the MPF and displayed the highest score yet of 8544, leaving Static and Olga uneasy.
"W-we have a new record for the highest score on the MPF!" Chapati stuttered. "They don't call him a Wizard Saint for nothing!"
"It is my turn now." Kara said as she stepped forward and kneeled to the ground in prayer. "Skeggöld, I offer you my magic power. All I ask in return is the power to claim victory."
A stream of magical power came down from the sky and right on top of Kara. When the stream faded, she was carrying with ease a gem-adorned cobalt axe almost as large as the diameter of the arena.
"Holy shit, that thing is huge!" Jayden shouted.
Kara swung the axe down and the MPF displayed the number '9833'.
"I-I don't believe it!" Chapati shouted. "She managed to top even Wizard Saint Jura's score! Just how powerful is she?!"
As Kara walked back to her position, she looked at Jayden with a face that he could tell pretty much said 'I dare you to beat that'. Jayden gulped and walked over to the MPF, taking in a deep breath.
"I'll have to give this my all..." He muttered to himself.
Just then, Jayden's eyes became reptilian and blue scales began to grow on his arms, legs and the edge of his face.
"Wait, he can use Dragon Force?!" Natsu exclaimed.
"It's because he has that lacrima inside of him." Wendy explained. "It was a gift from his mother before she died."
Whirlwinds began to swirl around Jayden's arms in addition to water. An intense magic pressure could be felt throughout the entire stadium as he continued to gather magic power.
"Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Piercing Zephyr Trident!"
Jayden threw a giant trident made of water and surrounded in gusts of wind at the MPF and his score was '9550'.
"He's THAT strong?!" Natsu screamed.
"Sabertooth doesn't look so scary now compared to him!" Gray was also shocked by Jayden's power.
Kara smirked upon seeing Jayden's score as he returned to his position and got out of Dragon Force.
"We already have some really impressive scores!" Chapati commented. "Who knows if Fairy Tail Team B's Cana Alberona will be able to top that."
"Finally, it's my turn?" Cana asked, clearly drunk from all the booze she just had. She then remove her white jacket to reveal a tattoo on her right arm. "Time for the sucker punch!" She raised her arm to the air. "To me! River of light that guides the fairies! Shine! Break the evil fangs of those who would threaten us! FAIRY GLITTER!"
An explosion of light erupted around the MPF, causing a large amount of dust to be picked up around the arena. When the audience could finally see the score, they saw the number '9999' and the MPF destroyed.
"Wh-what just happened?" Chapati asked. "She destroyed the MPF... and maxed out the score! What is this guild made of?! With a one-two finish in the event, it's Fairy Tail! Can anyone stop them now?"
"No one can stop us!" Cana proclaimed to the entire audience. "Why? Because we're Fairy Tail!"
As the crowd was cheering for Fairy Tail's overwhelming victory in the event, Blaise looked on and her eyes were tearing up.
*Now this is the guild I admired for so long...* She thought to herself.
"With the event concluded, here are the current rankings."
White Valkyrie 36P
Fairy Tail A 36P
Phoenix Dawn A 34P
Raven Tail 29P
Lamia Scale 29P
Sabertooth 26P
Fairy Tail B 25P
Phoenix Dawn B 24P
Mermaid Heel 14P
Blue Pegasus 12P
"Now on to the first match of Day 3!" Chapati announced. "It's White Valkyrie's Leah versus Mermaid Heel's Millianna!"
"Wish me luck, Kagura-chan!" Millianna waved to Kagura in the stands.
Both Leah and Millianna walked into the arena and took their respective positions.
"Before we begin, I just have a simply request to ask you." Leah said.
"Oh, and what's that?" Millianna asked.
Leah then scrunched her eyebrow, almost as if she was angry at something.
"Would you please put some clothes on?!" Leah shouted. "You might as well be naked!"
"Meow?" Millianna was confused.
"At least get some shorts and a T-shirt to cover yourself!" Leah continued ranting.
"Huh..." Millianna blinked. "... Oh, I get it. You're just jealous because I've got a great body."
Millianna started to show off her curves, which made the men in the audience rowdy.
"It's not your body that disgusts me..." Leah muttered. "It's the fact that you're showing it off! Have some shame!"
"You just feel insecure about how tiny yours are." Millianna said.
"That's not-!" Leah was about to shout until Millianna came up to her and tried to feel her up.
"Maybe it's the cloak." Millianna said. "Try showing some more skin."
"No, don't!"
Millianna removed Leah's cloak to reveal her pointy ears, which made everyone start to murmur amongst themselves.
"Ish she..." Yajima examined her as best as he could. "She'sh an elf!"
"An elf..." Millianna mumbled.
Leah snatched her cloak from Millianna and put it back on to cover herself.
"I didn't exshpect her to be an elf." Yajima said. "You don't shee thoshe in Fiore."
"Mr. Yajima is right." Lahar nodded. "Elves are native to Zaphir. I'm curious as to how she came here and became a guild wizard."
Leah started to clench her bow tightly, her hand shaking.
"I know you all have a large number of questions, but we have a fight to start!" Chapati said.
The gong was struck and Leah quickly took aim at Millianna.
"Blaze Arrow..."
An arrow made of flames appeared in Leah's bow and she fired it at Millianna, who quickly ducked with her swift reflexes. Millianna figured that her quick movement would give her an advantage as long as she stayed fairly close where she can easily get in close should Leah try to prepare another arrow. So Millianna tried to close the gap between her and Leah, but when she got right in front of her and tried to strike her with her claw, Leah used her arm to stop Millianna's arm, blocking her attack without having to get scratched by the claws.
"Thought you would have the advantage in close combat, did you?" Leah asked.
Leah kneed Millianna in the stomach and jumped backwards while preparing another arrow.
"Frost Arrow!"
An arrow made of ice was fired from Leah's bow and struck Millianna, making her skin turn blue and she started to shiver.
"Brrrrrrr!"
"Maybe you wouldn't be feeling cold if you were wearing more clothes." Leah said.
"Amen, sister!" Sakura's voice could be heard from the stands.
Millianna tried rubbing her arms rapidly to warm herself up while Leah was charging up magic energy into her bow, ready to finish the battle.
"Finale Arrow!"
The magic energy formed a long white arrow and Leah shot it at Millianna, sending her crashing into the wall and rendering her unconscious.
"That slutty outfit might benefit your speed, but mine still grants mobility while being conservative." Leah said to the knocked out Millianna. "Think about that, would you?"
"And the winner is Leah of White Valkyrie!" Chapati announced.
Back in the stands where Phoenix Dawn Team B was watching the games, Meloy, Frost, Static, Tristan and Xanders were discussing the recent match.
"That girl's got issues." Frost said. "Does she have an inferiority complex like Sakura?"
"I HEARD THAT!" Sakura screamed from far away.
"She does have a point." Xanders said. "I feel society has desensitized women into thinking that showing more skin draws more attention from potential male suitors. I happen to prefer women with elegance and grace rather than sex appeal."
"Come on." Frost said as she leaned against Xanders's chest, emphasizing her breasts.
"That won't work on me, Frost." Xanders said.
"Oh yeah? Then why is your nose bleeding?" Tristan asked.
Xanders quickly placed his gloved hand by his nose to check, but saw that there was no blood and he leered at Tristan.
"Too easy." Tristan shrugged.
"Our second match for Day 3 will be Phoenix Dawn Team B's Tristan Mercer versus Blue Pegasus's Eve Tearm!"
"Wish me luck, guys." Tristan said as he left.
A/N: Sorry this one took longer than usual. I had a test for a summer course and I was practicing for tournaments at a con I'm going to next weekend. I always planned for Leah to be an elf, but since elves were never mentioned in Fairy Tail, I decided to make up something without insulting anyone's intelligence. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed! Stay tuned for next time!
