ROBERTS POV

"What are you doing here?" the Factionless man repeated.

"Um... uh we're visiting Candor," I squeaked.

"Who said you could?" he asked, raising his eyebrow. None of them made a move to put down their guns.

"We can go from place to place. No one said that we have to stay in one place all the time," said Cassia, tugging at the hem of her shirt.

The Factionless lowered their guns. "Fine," one said, grudgingly. We all let out a sigh of relief.

"But just know, we'll be watching you," said the first man. We nodded and scurried off.

Susan looked like she had just seen a ghost.

"Are you okay?" I whispered.

"Yes. Fine," she said, shakily. "Thank you both for talking us out of that."

"It wasn't anything," I said. Cassia muttered an, "Um thanks I guess." What was it with girls and getting compliments? They always gave strange responses.

A girl around our age was walking in the opposite direction as us.

"Hey!" shouted Cassia. The girl looked at us. "Um... were you Factionless before this?" she asked.

"No, I was Candor. Why?" replied the girl.

"Then, do you want to reinstate the Factions?" asked Susan.

"What are you saying? How would anyone do that?" the girl asked, but it looked like we had her attention.

"There's this organization called the Allegiant who are trying to do that. We're at Amity. Go there and you can join. We really need the numbers," I said.

"Really?" asked the girl, her eyes widening. I nodded.

"O-okay!" she said.

"And would you mind telling your friends and family about it?" asked Cassia. "Spreading the word and all."

"Yeah! Okay! Thank you!" said the girl, jogging off towards a neighborhood.

"That went well," said Susan, smiling.

I turned and looked behind us, for fear of a Factionless person having heard us. The mans warning was still in my head. We'll be watching you.

We went around Candor for a little while longer, telling people about the Allegiant. People all seemed to like the idea and promised to tell everyone else they knew about it.

Afterwards, we went back to the train station, where there were no Factionless waiting for us. Hopefully we had that kind of luck more often than not.
