ROBERTS POV

After we got back Susan, Cassia and I agreed that our mission, of sorts was a success. Other than being seen by a Factionless person, it went well.

When we walked to the entrance, Madi and Joy rushed over to us, a piece of paper fluttering in Madis hand.

"Hey! We made propaganda!" said Joy, excitedly.

Madi handed the paper to us.

There was a picture of a person in a bunch of different colored clothing holding a gun, standing over people dressed in colors from the five Factions. there were words under it that asked, "Do You Want to Live in Fear?"

"That's quite convincing," said Susan.

"Do you think that you guys could put those up somewhere tomorrow?" asked Madi.

"Sure," said Cassia.

"What happens if we get caught by someone with those?" I asked.

"We'll deal with it then," replied Cassia, seemingly not worried.

"Yeah, I guess," Susan said, unsurely.

"Hey, guys!" someone shouted.

I saw Marco and Charity walking towards us.

"How was recruiting people?" asked Susan.

"Well, we went to Erudite and we figured that we should appeal to their sense of pride," said Charity.

"Yeah, some people got reeeeeeeally angry when we mentioned that they were 'being oppressed by people who couldn't even pass initiation'," said Marco, chuckling to himself.

Madi snorted. "I can see that," she said. "Hey, and look at this." She handed Marco and Charity the drawing.

"I guess you two had the same idea of appealing to peoples pride," said Charity.

"Candor, Erudite and Dauntless are very proud people, so I guess that method would work. I bet guilting would work on Abnegationers," said Cassia.

"I don't think that people from Abnegation will need much guilting. They'll probably fight for what they think is right, in the name of being selfless and all," I said.

Susan and Charity nodded in agreement.

I noticed Nick, Verity and Stella walking towards us and waved to them.

"How did your thing go?" asked Charity.

"We had to learn how to negotiate right so that we wouldn't offend anyone!" said Stella. "Do you know how many times I yelled at people?"

"You need to learn how to control your anger. You almost punched that poor man in the face a few times," said Nick.

"Don't cross me," said Stella.

I had heard that red-heads had a temper. I guess that was true for Stella. But, then again, Cassia had reddish hair.

"Wow, what did he say to you?" asked Joy.

"Well, they said really offensive things to prepare us for anything anyone might say. So I got angry. But to be fair, Nick and Verity made a few very snappy comments," said Stella.

"Anyways, we have to do this for another week or two before we actually go out and try and negotiate with people," said Verity. "By then, I bet Stella will have learned to tame the raging beast inside of her."

Stella glared at her. "I have no idea how you Amities are so calm and nice all the time," she said.

"Well, you went to Erudite for a reason," said Marco.

Stella opened her mouth to say something, but then stopped. "Yeah, I guess."

We talked for a little while longer, then went our separate ways.

xXx

The next day, Susan, Cassia and I decided to go to Dauntless, carrying tape copies of with Madi and Joys drawing with us.

"Are Dauntless people as scary as they seem?" asked Susan, after we had boarded the train.

"Well... some of them are," said Cassia.

Susan's face paled a little. "O-okay."

"Ha, yeah sorry," said Cassia.

"No, don't apologize. It's not your fault," said Susan.

"Oh my goodness you're always so polite and it explodes my brain!" said Cassia.

"Abnegation taught her well," I said. Susan smiled.

We got to Dauntless and jumped off the train. Cassia made sure to get us off at a stop that didn't require jumping over a gap onto a seven story building, then jumping into a hole.

After walking a little, we saw a mother with a child around ten.

"She looks promising," said Cassia.

We walked over to her.

"Hello," said Cassia, to the woman.

"Hi," she said. She whispered 'Say hello' to her child.

"Hello," said the child, quietly, then looked at his mother for approval. His mother smiled at him.

"Were you a Factionless person before this?" asked Cassia.

"No, I was Dauntless, why do you ask?" said the woman.

"Do you think the Faction system was better than this?" asked Susan.

"Yes. Jeff was so much happier back then," she said, ruffling the boys hair.

"Mom, don't do that!" muttered Jeff. The mother ruffled her sons hair again and smiled good-naturedly.

"You could help reinstate the Factions by joining the Allegiant. We're at Amity," I explained.

"I'm sorry, but I'll have to decline. I have to take care of Jeff," she said.

"It's alright," I said. "But could you tell other people about it?"

"Of course," said the mother.

"Thank you," said Susan. We all nodded to each other.

As we walked off, I could hear Jeff asking his mother if he could join.

After talking to a few more people and hanging up Madi and Joy's drawing, we talked to a short, bald man.

We made our offer but the mad didn't agree.

"I think that the Factions were worse than this," said the Dauntless man. "I won't join."

We all glanced at each other. Then, I pulled out one of the drawings.

"Here," I said, handing it to the man. "We hope you reconsider."

Then, we walked off.

Once we were out of earshot, Cassia started to talk.

"Do you know what's going to happen? That guy's going to go tell every Factionless person he knows that there's some organization trying to bring the Factions back!" she hissed.

"We should go, just in case he decides to tell someone to catch us and interrogate us or something," I said.

Susan shivered a little and nodded in agreement.

"She who fights and runs away may live to fight another day," muttered Cassia.

"Where'd you learn that?" I asked.

"My parents. Not all Dauntless are rash and scary," she said.
