Sorry this took so long, but lordsoftheRoses was out of the state for like a week. Anyway, hope you all enjoy!

July 6, X791

With a collapsed pile of rubble behind them, Wendy and Lionel were heading off to find the others.

"Everybody?!" Wendy called out. "Where are you?!"

"Found someone." Lionel pointed in front of them.

The person Lionel was pointing to was Cosmo, who was coming out of a budding flower.

"Pretty…" Cosmo said. "Not as pretty as sweet… and still, I will execute you."

"Why, thanks for the compliment." Lionel proudly chuckled.

"I was talking to the girl." Cosmo growled in irritation.

"Lucy? Yukino? Where are you?" Mirajane shouted.

She was stranded from the others, with only Kyo and Kamika within her sights.

"You shouldn't be looking anywhere else but at me right now." Kamika smirked.

A flurry of green pieces of paper surrounded Kamika.

"Paper Storm… Green Dance!"

The whirlwind of papers engulfed Mirajane and Kyo, releasing smoke.

"Green paper is poison." Kamika stated.

As the toxic cloud got thicker, Kyo turned to Mirajane and saw her coughing before going into his Steelbody state.

*My Steelbody and Ether Magic will protect me from the poison, but Mirajane's completely vulnerable.* Kyo thought. *I might need to find a way to suck that poison out… Perhaps… mouth-to-mouth?*

As Kyo's thoughts became dirtier, his Steelbody face began to emit steam.

"Spore Bomb, Rinka Renka!" Cosmo shouted.

Explosions of green pollen burst all around Lionel and Wendy, the latter screaming in pain.

"Your screams sound so wonderful…" Cosmo wrapped herself in her own arms in pleasure. "Now it's time to sleep. Makura Kamura!"

Wendy and Lionel started to feel their legs giving out.

"These spores make you drowsy, and once you fall asleep, you'll be put under a death spell from which you will never wake from." Cosmo said. "Now sleep… for all eternity…"

Before Lionel completely fell onto the ground, Wendy grabbed his shoulder and a blue aura surrounded him.

"Extraordinary Recovery Enchant… Release!" Wendy shouted.

Their drowsiness started to disappear and both of them were able to stand up firmly.

"Huh?!" Cosmo gasped in shock. "How?!"

"Affliction magic doesn't work on me!" Wendy said as gusts of wind swirled around her hands. "My specialty is support magic!"

"Thanks, Tiny." Lionel said as he charged electricity in his fists.

*Tiny?!* Wendy thought with a sad look on her face.

Wendy waved her arms and a tornado scattered all of Cosmo's petals and spores away with Lionel charging toward Cosmo with an electrically charged hand and grabbed her by the throat.

Mirajane continued suffocating from the poison cloud surrounding her and Kyo.

"That seemed like it hurt a lot." Kamika smiled.

"Are you going to pass out on me?" Kyo asked Mirajane before thinking. *'Cause I'd really like to get to that mouth-to-mouth right about now!*

"I'm all right, Kyo. Cough, cough! Magic isn't meant to kill!" Mirajane coughed. "But if you don't have power, you can't protect those you love. It's a contradiction, huh?"

"What are you talking about?" Kamika questioned.

"You know…" Mirajane said as she began to transform. "At the stadium… or when my friends are close… Whenever I think somebody's watching, I tend to suppress my own power. That contradiction I mentioned is a dilemma of mine." As her transformation was completing, she started breathing in the toxin.

"Y-you're kidding!" Kamika shuddered. "You sucked in the poison…"

Mirajane's transformation into her Satan Soul was complete. "You just gave a devil poison. That's one of a devil's favorite things."

"So… what? You're not gonna pass out?" Kyo asked.

"No." Mirajane answered.

"Not even a little bit?" Kyo asked again.

"Why do you sound so disappointed?"

"… Eh, no reason." Kyo sighed.

Mirajane kicked Kamika in the chin and sent her crashing through a wall and right into the other four soldiers of the Hungry Wolf Knights, who were all hurled from other walls. When Kyo and Mirajane stepped out, they were reunited with the others in their group.

"Okay now!" Natsu smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Now you've gotta tell us where the exit is!"

"Evil…" Lucy said nervously.

After getting the information on the exit from the Hungry Wolf Knights, they continued walking through the cavern as they arrived at an area with stone pillars acting supporting the ceiling. One of Lucy's spirits, Leo, was carrying an unconscious Arcadios over his shoulder.

"Is Colonel Arcadios all right?" Yukino asked.

"He's as 'all right' as can be…"" Loke replied.

"It's weird he's still alive after standing in lava." Happy said.

"… Wait…" Kyo said. "That guy survived standing in lava?" He then looked at Arcadios, draped over Loke's shoulder. "… There's no way!"

"It's true." Yukino said. "He jumped in trying to save us and was completely swallowed by the lava."

"… Then how come he's still completely intact?!" Kyo questioned. "The lava would've melted his body off!"

"Well, one of my spirits came in and shielded him from the lava." Lucy said.

"But y… Do you understand how lava works?" Kyo asked. "The second this guy jumps into the lava, his legs should've melted off! And whatever spirit bullshit you've got-"

Suddenly, a finger almost smacked Kyo between the eyes, which belonged to Yukino.

"Watch your language!" Yukino scolded.

"Yes, ma'am." Kyo said.

When Yukino turned around, Lionel just snickered to himself.

"Wh-kssh!" Lionel whispered as he continued snickering.

"It's probably thanks to the jade pendant he's wearing." Loke said. "It serves as a powerful, protective amulet."

Kyo pushed Lionel into the wall as everyone else, who were all in front of them, kept walking.

"Jade… Like that dragon, Zirconis." Wendy said.

Lionel pushed Kyo and the latter almost stumbled over the stairs.

"And the princess, Hisui, her name means 'jade'…" Yukino stated.

After Lionel walked past Kyo, Kyo jumped onto Lionel's back, punched his temples and rubbed them to cause him discomfort.

"Arcadios told us to talk to the princess if we got out of here." Lucy said.

Lionel knocked Kyo off of him, picked him up by his face and started stretching his cheeks.

"You said he didn't know whether Eclipse was the right thing to do, hm?" Carla said.

Kyo grabbed and Lionel's face and the two were just stretching each other's cheeks.

"Knock it off, you two!" Mirajane shouted at Kyo and Lionel.

"Hey, look over there!" Pantherlily called out.

In front of them were large stone double doors.

"A door!" Natsu exclaimed.

"It might be the exit!" Happy cheered.

"I got this!" Natsu said as he ignited his fist and charged at the door. "Fire Dragon-"

The doors began opening and Natsu began rolling until he was in front of the doors where a figure in a black cloak was standing.

"Who are you?" Natsu demanded.

In the middle of the capital, the final round of the Grand Magic Games was still occurring. Jayden was walking in the middle of a wide, open street and he stopped upon picking up the scent of someone nearby. A figure was also in the middle of the same street and approaching Jayden until they were nearly thirty feet away from him.

"I was hoping I would find Minerva here… I must say I wasn't expecting to see you until later." They said.

"I could say the same thing." Jayden smirked. "… Kara."

"The Games this year have summoned many worthy opponents." Kara smiled. "That is why I joined my sister in the Sabertooth guild; their strength would attract the attention of rivals in which I could test my skills. If this were any other year, I would be having a lot of fun…"

Kara's smile turned into a frown.

(Flashback)

A little under an hour ago, Kara was wandering through an alleyway and had yet to come across any other wizards.

"My, are you avoiding everyone just so you can fight me?"

Kara's blood boiled upon hearing that familiar and sinister voice.

"… Minerva…" Kara growled.

Minerva had teleported behind Kara. "Don't be so tense. After all, Father no longer controls Sabertooth, Sting made sure of that."

"So he's dead?" Kara asked without changing her expression or turning around.

"No."

"Well, he should be."

"You still wish to fight me?"

"We've worked together before. I know how cruel and sadistic you are. You're almost as bad as your father."

"You've become significantly stronger since we kicked you out and I would love to test just how much, but unfortunately other delicious morsels have caught my eye. Perhaps if you prove yourself worthy, I will grant you the battle you so desire."

"Wouldn't it be more convenient if we just fought here and now?"

Minerva had a devious smirk on her face. "I have some leverage over you."

With a wave of her hand, a bubble appeared in front of Kara and it held an imprisoned and unconscious Sora.

"SORA!" Kara shouted and finally turned to face Minerva, her rage made evident by her expression.

"He is still alive, for now." Minerva coldly stated. "All you have to do is fight a specific someone. Win or lose, I set the little boy free. If you don't fight, no one will ever be able to recognize him."

Kara clenched her fists and teeth in fury and frustration as Minerva gave a sinister smile.

(End Flashback)

"But this isn't a game…" Kara said before taking a fighting stance. "Not anymore… Come at me, Jayden Oceari!"

Inside the capital's clock tower, Melody had entered the front door and examined the design and complexity of the tower's inner machinations.

"I hope the bell doesn't go off anytime soon." Melody said to herself.

"Melody!"

Melody turned around to see Frost, weak and barely able to stand up.

"Frost!"

Melody ran over to Frost as the Dragon Slayer fell to her knees and revealed the magic arrows that had pierced her body.

"What happened?" Melody asked.

"That elf girl…" Frost struggled to speak. "Her arrows are draining my magic… Caught me off guard, but I'm not out yet."

"Not for long." A deep, familiar voice spoke.

In the shadowy corner of the clock tower, Bryant walked out and revealed himself to the two women.

"Leah's Enervating Arrows normally sap someone of their strength in a minute." Bryant stated. "Anyone with as many as you would've been out instantly. Must be pretty strong if you're still holdin' on, but I doubt you have much longer."

Melody propped Frost against the wall by the entrance and turned back to Bryant.

"Your friend and I got to play yesterday, so I'm curious if you're just as fun." Bryant smiled.

"You're a pig!" Melody spat.

"Guilty as charged." Bryant said as he covered his body in armor made of black iron.

Frost was having difficulty remaining conscious to watch the fight about to happen in front of her.

A/N: I'm really sorry this took so long, but on top of what I mentioned above, I've been addicted to a large number of games that came out in May and job searching. I've heard of the complaints about my fights being too short and not very detailed and I will improve on that in future chapters. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed! Stay tuned for next time!
