Disclaimer: The Chronicles of Narnia belong to C.S. Lewis, not me or am I making any profit with this story. I only own Alexandra and her friends/family or any other character you don't recognize.

Lucy saw her raven haired brother walk up to Peter's office at the same time she was getting there, and she couldn't help herself but feel curious of the goofy smile and shining eyes he was sporting.

"Ed." She greeted him and he looked startled for a second, making her realize he was once again in his own little world and hadn't noticed her there until that moment.

"Oh, hello Lu." He nodded politely at her, his smile not fading.

"Let me guess…Alexandra?" She said with a smile of her own.

"Pardon me?" He furrowed his brows.

"That smile silly, it has her name written all over it." The littlest Pevensie explained, making her brother blush, a rare sighting.

"Do you have any clue of why Peter called us here?" He was quick to change the topic, making Lucy smile wider, as she knew she had won this round of teasing.

"Not really, I was about to go down to the beach when I got the message he wanted to see us immediately. I guess we'll find out in a little bit though, I believe they all are in there already."

"Shall we then?"

She just nodded and the guards opened the doors so they both could go through and into the magnificent room.

"Ah, there they are." Caspian said in a relieved tone.

"Please, come sit." Peter asked, gesturing the empty chairs.

They swiftly walked towards the round table that the others were in and took a seat.

"What's going on?" Edmund asked. He wasn't one to be very patient, and by the way they were all acting, whatever they were to discuss wouldn't be too pleasant.

Peter just stared at him without saying a word. In fact, the room was incredibly silent.

"What?" The Just King asked annoyed. Once more the room was silent. "This is ridiculous! Tell me what's going on!" He demanded and Susan closed her eyes and sighed.

"You remember why you went on that trip to find out a little more about the irregularities in the north?" Peter finally started to explain.

"Yes, of course. We found nothing but Alexandra and Ninarika."

"Well…There's been sighting of someone else causing havoc and encouraging the giants to attack us."

"Who?" Lucy asked. Horrified that someone was actually instigating the whole ordeal.

"Nathan Hayward." Peter said his name without taking his eyes off Edmund, he needed to measure his reaction.

"Oh dear…" Lucy said. "Wait a moment…If he's the one trying to cause a war in Narnia, why aren't we discussing this with Alexandra too?"

"Because she'd try to solve it herself and would either succeed or make it worse, and that's a risk we cannot take." Edmund was the one to explain, but his eyes rested on Peter's blue ones instead of the confused Lucy. There was more that oldest monarch wanted to say, but Ed knew he wouldn't dare to speak with the rest of them around, so he'd have to wait to hear it.

"But it's her brother." Lucy weakly tried to reason with the other monarchs, even though she knew that Alex was indeed way to unpredictable once she set her mind on doing something, especially with her family at risk.

"We're trying to protect her Lu, we're her family and she should trust us to know what's best for her. Besides, she has her secret, we'll have ours." Susan said, finalizing the argument on whether to tell the sixth queen or not, and moving on to what they were to do now that they had this information.

In the meantime, Alexandra was listening very carefully to the words her blonde best friend was reciting for the second time, having the strange sensation of hearing his sister and not him.

"Greetings, my queen. I wanted to let you know that we're both alright, I'm following the plan exactly as we had agreed on if this situation ever came up. The shield on the ring is working fine, but I don't know if it will be enough…I already started feeling Nathan's presence getting closer to us, and I can tell he does too. He's perfectly fine Alex, he just keeps asking about your whereabouts, he's getting restless, and he wants to see you."

The queen sighed. Sometimes she wished he wasn't as curious. It would make things so much easier for her. But that wasn't her main concern. She had felt during her encounter with her brother that his power was stronger than she remembered, which meant that in making the shield she had underestimated him, and now she had to figure out something else, just in case.

"I really think it's time Alex." Nina suggested, knowing that she was starting a fight, but refusing to shut up about what she felt was the right thing to do.

"Nina…"

"Think about it. We're not on earth anymore, before, we could all help you protect him, but now only Mimi's there, he's exposed. But if he was here with us all, then he'd be safer than he is now. We could all protect him."

"And what exactly makes you think that they'd want to protect him? They don't even know him!" The Light Queen argued back, moving towards a window and looking at the birds flying outside. The day was beautiful, she wished she could share it with him.

"Alexandra are you listening to yourself? Do you honestly think they would refuse to help protect someone that means so much to you? Are you serious?" Ninarika asked her truly baffled, she knew that they would be upset at first, but then they would love the idea. Why was her friend having so much trouble accepting it?

"Do you think he'd be anywhere but at my side if I wasn't? I can't protect him, and until I can ensure his protection, then I will not bring him into this world." Alex looked at the tigress very seriously, and neither she nor Robert could find any words to say, because without realizing it, their friend had started to cry silently.

She was truly heartbroken by her decision.

I'm so so so so so so so so sorry! I hope you didn't lose faith in this story while I was gone, this semester for me has been terribly busy, but I feel awful for making you all wait such a long time without a chapter. Again, I'm very very sorry. And I truly wish you all enjoy this tiny chapter!
