Naruto's eyes fluttered opened, he wasn't sure if last night was real, but he could still smell Sasuke's presence lingering on his clothes. Naruto could hear Sakura humming downstairs and he got angry. Sasuke told him last night that Sakura was planning to kill him, Naruto didn't know what to even think of that. He made his way downstairs.
"You slept well last night…no nightmares." Sakura smiled, placing tea in front of him. Naruto just stared at the steam, watching it disappear. Sakura placed a plate of food in front of him and watched him. When he started eating, she made a small gasp. "What?" Naruto said with his mouth full. "You're…eating." Sakura said. "Yeah, I'm hungry." Naruto said. Sakura just smiled. There was silence for a long time. "Sakura…" Naruto started. She looked up at him with tearful eyes. "Please stop worrying yourself over me." Naruto said. Sakura nodded. "I'm sorry for last night, I just lost control of myself, I needed that good night's sleep, I'm thinking clearer." Naruto managed a small smile. Sakura smiled softly, "It's okay." She whispered.
Naruto finished his plate of food and he remembered what Sasuke had said, 'you can't give any hints that I'm around.' If he started acting like he was fine, they would catch on. He placed his empty plate in the sink and leaned against the counter. "I'm going to meet Tsunade for tea, will you be alright?" Sakura asked. "I'll be fine." He said blandly, it was about Sasuke, he was sure of it. He was going to find out for sure. Sakura stood up from the table and grabbed her bag, "I'll be back in a bit." She smiled and walked out the door.
Naruto went back to his room and put clean clothes on. Naruto smiled when he found his headband, he tied it securely on his head. It was nice to have it back on. He walked out the front door and immediately masks his chakra. He felt weak, all of this stress and sickness had really taken it out of him. It takes him a bit longer to get to the Hokage tower than he thought, he perches himself outside of Tsunade's window and listens carefully.
"Sakura, I'm not sure how you intend to succeed at this mission on your own." Tsunade says.
"I'll die trying if I must." Sakura whispers.
"You know as well as I do how powerful Sasuke is." Tsunade says, sipping her tea.
Naruto gasps, no it couldn't be.
Sakura sighs "I will kill Sasuke Uchiha!" she says sternly.
"I admire your will Sakura." Tsunade smiles.
"Are you saying you wouldn't do the same, for the love of a friend?" Sakura whispers.
Naruto is shaking, he can't contain the rage inside of him. He feels fox chakra building inside of him, but he knows that his body can't handle it. He rushes away in a flash. "What?!" Sakura yelled. "Oh no…" she whispers. "He's found us out." Tsunade says.

Naruto runs as fast he can, tears streaming down his face. He couldn't believe it. Everyone had betrayed him. He collapsed to his knees, his body couldn't take it anymore. He dug his nails into the earth beneath him, a shadow cast before him and he looked up suddenly, there Sasuke stood. "I thought we said at night." Sasuke smirked. Naruto wiped his tears quickly. Sasuke picked him up off the ground. "Let's get out of here before you're seen." Naruto said. Sasuke transported them right outside the village. "Let's walk." Sasuke said. Naruto shoved his hands in his pocket, looking at the ground. "You were right." Naruto whispered. The thought sent a pang of pain through his heart. "Naruto…" Sasuke whispered, lifting his chin to look at him. Naruto had so much hurt in his eyes and desperation. Sasuke cupped Naruto's face in his hands and pressed his forehead to his. Naruto was frozen, having Sasuke so close was foreign, but he never wanted him to let go. "Join me." He said, looking into Naruto's blue irises. Naruto's eyes widened, he couldn't believe what he just heard. "Yes." Naruto whispered. Sasuke took a huge sigh of relief. "Good, now I can do this." Sasuke said and pressed his lips to Naruto's. Naruto didn't even feel the tears spill down his face, he couldn't believe this was happening. Sasuke pulled away and saw Naruto's smile and wiped the tears from his face. Sasuke held him close. "I'm here Naruto, forever, I'm tired of running from my feelings for you." Sasuke said. "There's just one more thing I have to do." Naruto says, in a bittersweet tone.

Sakura and Tsunade wandered around the entire village searching for Naruto for hours. The walked to the Hokage Monument, one of Naruto's favorite spots. "Naruto! Please, we need to talk!" Sakura yelled, desperate. Tsunade gasped. "What is it?!" Sakura asked, running to her. Naruto's headband was laying on the ground with a note. "I'm with him now, goodbye." Tears streamed down Sakura's cheeks. "No!" she screamed and fell to the ground.
