Epilogue: It's A Love Story
Less than 3 months later, the big day came. Buffy was officially a high school graduate and had decided to get married in Sunnydale.
Spike had flown out some of his new employees and friends from England on his private jet and Buffy's friends were already in Sunnydale. Oz and Willow had flown in and stayed the last few weeks helping Buffy to prep for the big day. As for their honeymoon, they were traveling to Italy to spend their nights enjoying no work or school and just each other's company.
Buffy stood in a church in a small room off the side with her maid of honor and bridesmaid. Willow in her green maid of honor dress smiled up at Buffy as she helped to adjust her veil, "You look beautiful Buffy. Look what changes have happened to you over the last month. You were engaged, you graduated the second place of your class, you are all settled into a house in England and now you are getting married. I'm envious."
Anya grinned as she shook her head, "I'm not. I'm already married last month. Just look at my ring. Buffy you will just love being married. You can have orgasms anytime you want because there's no trying to cram it into strange places. Having an orgasm in the back of a car isn't the most ideal…"
Willow and Buffy bought cut her off groaning out her name, "Anya!"
Anya grinned as she looked in the mirror at her bright pink dress. It looked great on her and she was so thankful she could talk Buffy into letting her wear it. She couldn't wait until Xander saw her in it.
Willow heard the music start as she turned towards Buffy, "Ready? This is your big day. You're getting married!"
Buffy beamed at her friends as she announced, "I've been ready for this since the day I met Spike. I was made to be his." With that the ceremony began.
Spike waited at the altar with his best man Oz and his groomsman Xander. He chose Oz to be his bestman because he had helped him get the house together in England. Oz had changed his plans last minute to settle in England at Oxford. With his excellent grades at Sunnydale, he was given the chance to go to Oxford with flying colors so Willow and Oz would settle in England along with Buffy and Spike.
Anya talked about even joining them opening up her own Magic Shop in England that would work together with Spike's Aunt Jenny in Sunnydale. It would be the start of a new chain of Magic Shops and Xander didn't mind as long as he could open his own construction business, which was his goal in life. So it looked like by Christmas, the gang would be together in England but for now, they had more important things to worry about.
Spike stood in his black suit nervous. He knew Buffy would show but was nervous he'd mess up. He had written his own vows and wanted them perfect.
Oz and Xander had assured him they were perfect but he knew how men were, always saying things were good when they really sucked. He just hoped Buffy liked it.
He stood up straighter as the music started. First came the little Dawn. She was barely able to totter down the aisle and she was being helped by Joyce. They were tossing out yellow, pink and green flowers for Buffy to walk upon. Dawn looked cute as she smiled at her big sister. Her tiny yellow dress had been made especially for her to match the veil carrier's.
Anya walked down the aisle next, with her beautiful pink dress on. She glowed as she had on her wedding day.
Next came Willow in her green dress. She smiled at Oz imagining this was her day but knew it would come when they were ready. They just weren't ready to settle down yet.
Lastly came Buffy. She wore a long white dress. The top was a lacey overtone covering a slightly flared white dress. It was an A-line decorated with white trim that also covered the bottoms of the sleeves and dress itself. She had a really long train that was held up by Dawn, her young sister.
Darla was dressed in a plain yellow dress and she was smiling happily. Her dress matched Dawn's. At the last minute, Spike had asked Buffy if she had minded including his niece in the wedding since she had included Dawn. Buffy hadn't minded at all.
Spike smiled brightly as she walked up to Spike and took his hands in hers. They both turned towards the preacher anxious for their big day to complete.
Before either of them knew it, it was vow time. Spike knelt in front of Buffy much as he had the day he proposed and whispered even though the microphone attached to his coat jacket, allowed others to hear, "Buffy, we met years ago when we were young. You were a sophomore in high school fairly new to Sunnydale but you still took my breath away. You were dancing with your friends, shining your bright smile towards everyone in the room and how could my bloody heart resist? I was captivated by you and still am today. You taught me what love was and what dedication meant. You encouraged me to be the best I could be and gave me hope for the future. You were my shining star Buffy and everything I did from the moment I saw you, was for you. I know it wasn't always perfect and sometimes it was bloody hard but we made it. We are here Buffy and we have made ourselves a love story just like we always dreamed. I promise I'll always care for you, respect you and love you. You're mine Buffy and I'm yours. I love you Buffy Summers."
He stood up and was about to kiss Buffy when the preacher put his hand in the middle. The audience laughed at how anxious they were to kiss but instead Buffy took her turn, "Spike, William Pratt. When I first met you, you intrigued me. You weren't the traditional student. Even today wearing your dark leather coat over your suit, you are about as untraditional as they come but it's part of what I love about you. You are who you are and you don't make excuses. You taught me as well about love and what it means to be in a relationship. You stood by me no matter what even despite the odds my dad brought into our relationship. You were honorable keeping secrets you promised and were protective keeping me safe. You have literally saved my life many times so how could I not love you? I was made for you and you were made for me. We fit together perfectly in every way and that is how we got here today. You are right we did make our own love story and we did make it good. I promise I'll always love you and take care of you as well. I can't imagine my life without you and how I would have turned out. You turned me into a beautiful swan Spike. I love you so much."
The preacher didn't even allow them to think about kissing each other as he finished up the ceremony. Finally as he started to say, "You may now kiss the bride", he found himself staring at two people already in a locked kiss.
He cleared his throat as he announced, "I now present Mr. and Mrs. William Pratt." The crowd cheered even as Buffy and Spike were still locked in a kiss.
Finally Oz and Willow stepped forward at the same time prying the two love birds off each other with a grin from Oz, "Wait until your wedding night guys. Make it at least look like you aren't doing it like bunnies already."
The preacher's face turned red but the crowd merely laughed since Oz's voice had been picked up by the microphone still on Spike's jacket. As Buffy and Spike looked at each other, they knew their life would work out. Their love story in a way was just beginning and it would always be good.
