Hi, Hyena King here! This is the beginning of the next mission, titled, "He who Tames the Iron Horse." So, without further ado, here's chapter 28!

(Sly POV.)

Following the trail of spice shipments, we made our way to Nanavut Bay, Canada, the secret hub of Jean Bison's shipping empire. As a young man, he trekked across Canada to strike it rich during the Gold rush of 1852. An advent prospector, he took some chances, and ended up buried alive in an avalanche. Miraculously, the deep freeze kept him alive, and one hundred and twenty years later, thanks to Global Warming, he thawed out.

The product of his time, he dreams of taming the "Wild North", damming every river, and chopping down all the trees, with progress delivered on the sharp end of an axe. Shipping Spice for the Klaww gang, proved a lucrative way to bankroll his one man war against nature. And yet, I have to feel a little sorry for him. He's just a normal guy from the eighteen fifties. Back in his day, he'd be a hero, but today, he's a villain. Either way, that man's got more than his fair share of the Clockwerk parts.

What a low tech guy like Jean Bison is doing with robot parts is a mystery. I almost don't want to know, but as always, it's only a matter of time before I find out.

Sly and the others went through the town, as silently as possible. Sasha was kind enough to conjure winter clothes for them. The group this time was made up of Sly, Thunder, and Sasha. Why the black Pegasus was still insisting on coming along was a mystery to all of them, but nobody argued. They in fact where starting to get a little concerned.

The pegasus was starting to become withdrawn, more serious then optimistic the way he was before. Twilight tried to talk to him about it, but he wouldn't open up to her or anyone else really. Sly made the suggestion that maybe, given enough time, he would be more talkative.

So, the others took his advice and went on their merry way. The rest of the crew was having cocoa and keeping warm, while they had to sneak across town and freeze their tails off. Oh, well, it was for the best. Besides, they would have the best time dealing with what came next.

As they slipped through the town, they suddenly heard the sounds of battle. Sly turned just in time to avoid getting hit by a flying moose. Said moose crashed into a barrel a few feet away. The gang, awed by this, turned to the source of his flight.

A group of moose were surrounding a lone figure, snarling as they beat their fists at it and kicked with their hooves, not to mention try to impale it on their antlers.

None of them landed a hit.

The figure sent several flying with lightning quick jabs and long, sweeping kicks. It was a good thing the figure wasn't armed, because then the snow would be all red with blood. The gang watched this sight, for the moment too mesmerized to remember their mission. Strangely enough, Sasha had her eyes squinted onto the figure.

"...I know that punch."

"Wha?" Twilight asked, snapping out of it.

"I know that punch! I know that person!"

"You recognize someone by their punches?" Twilight asked. Sasha wasn't paying attention though, a childish smile on her face as the moose thinned out.

"It's Karen!"

"Who?" Sly asked as he too snapped out of it.

"Oh no..." Twilight groaned, already knowing what was coming.

The final moose was defeated, leaving only the figure in plain view. She, for it was undoubtedly a she, wiped the sweat of her brow and breathed out. It was another human, look wise, that was dressed in armor worn by the ancient Vikings of legend. Except, hers was a little more revealing.

The red-head looked up and suddenly jumped forward, I'm not kidding, jumped forward, and landed next to Sasha.

"Sasha!"

"Karen!"

They both hugged each other and talked extremely fast, too fast to be comprehended, fast enough to put Pinkie to shame. Sly, after staring at this for a moment, finally said.

"So...She's a friend of hers?"

"If I had to hazard a guess," Thunder began watching them with a critical eye. "I'd say she's another one of her sisters-"

"How many of you are there!" Twilight demanded the goddesses, making Sly and Thunder jump and a miniature avalanche to occur a few miles away.

There you go. Yep. Another goddess. And that's just the beginning of the surprises. R&R please!
